Running a blog for underwear for eleven years, some of you may be curious as to what I like and how I decide to get a pair of underwear. I am more than happy to share this with you guys. I have a few things I look for when getting new underwear.

The first criteria is the pouch. This either makes or breaks a pair of underwear for me. The pouch has to be supportive but not constricting. I like everything held in place with ample support. Several pouches fit this bill. The pouches include Cocksox, Ergowear X3D & Max, Andrew Christian Almost Naked, and WildmanT.

As you can tell, I prefer the anatomical pouches. I always have and continue to look for brands that make similar pouches. Luckily as the market continues to go, more companies are making pouches that fit amazing.

The second criteria is the fabric. A pair of underwear in fabulous material can win me over big time. I prefer a fabric that has some stretch to it. This allows it to conform to my body better. That means 100% isn’t usually my first choice. If possible, a spandex blend is best or a modal blend.

Some brands specialize in fantastic fabrics. Gregg Homme is one that comes to mind. They source the most incredible feeling fabrics ever. I have gone many times, where has this fabric been in my life.

The third the cut and style of the pair. My go-to pair is a brief/bikini. However, there are many different types of designs in these two styles. The skimpier, the better, I hate a lot of extra material. This means I will also look at some jocks and occasionally a thong.

We all have our favorite styles we stick with. These ones fit our bodies and look great on us! And the big one is the pair that gives us the most confidence.

Lastly, is the color and prints. I LOVE bright, fun colors. I always have and probably always will. If the pair meets everything above and is in a bright primary color, it immediately goes on my must-have list. I mean a bright blue, red, green bikini with a pouch made in modal, get that credit card out!

On top of that, the only other thing I like is prints. Companies are experimenting with awesome prints that we haven’t seen in undies. The rules about what is “masculine enough for underwear.” This is a great thing. Companies that are making great prints are JOR, Unico, and Clever.

These are my criteria for new undies. Post a comment about what is important to you and your underwear purchases.
