Last week in the middle of my kidney stone issue, I got up on Wednesday, July 5, to hear that Meta/IG dropped the Twitter alternative. It has been all over the news and reported 100 M users in the first week.

Threads are very much like Twitter’s setup but have a few differences. Those differences are you can use 500 characters, links, photos, and videos up to 5 minutes in length. Plus, there are no limitations to the posts you can see daily or someone saying the term “cis male” is a slur. These are the good things.

Now for the bad things. First, it’s part of Instagram, and the TOS falls under the same as Instagram. Meaning there is no NSFW content on the platform. You will treat it as you would Instagram for posting pics and videos. And currently, the Threads account is tied to your IG account. If your Threads account gets deleted, so will your IG account, and vice versa.

While I like the setup and the ease of use, it’s still not the best place to share and build an underwear community. I’m just super frustrated about where to go so that we can share pics of guys with bulges, thongs butts, and more.

I have hope in BlueSky, which does allow NSWF content since the former CEO of Twitter created it. It’s still in Beta and limits the signup, and I have yet to get approved from the waiting list or an invite from someone. If you have an invite, please let me know.

I know you guys are tired of getting kicked off services and having to rebuild every time you turn around. Many don’t want to support a crazy billionaire or a company that doesn’t believe in sexualizing a man. I want to do a podcast, but I feel this subject there’s not much new to bring forward. I don’t have a feasible solution to this, and it pisses me off. Please let me know what you think, what alternatives you use, or how you use threads.
