esxd05b-f1Some of my favorite underwear in the past has been Ergowear. When I had the chance to review the X3D brief, I became very excited. Until the ones I owned wore out, they were some of the best underwear I had ever worn and I loved them. I had not purchased any replacement briefs, but our friends at Dead Good Undies sent us some to review.

Dead Good Undies states in their Ergowear X3D description:

“Ergowear is the perfect range for guys who value support and comfort from their men’s underwear. This X3D brief is ergonomically designed to position your tackle to keep you comfortable and supported. The specially contoured pouch lifts everything away from your body while maintaining a natural feeling position. The gorgeously soft and stretchy fabric is available in Black or White, with each mini Brief dressed at the front centre with an Ergowear ribbon logo. Also available in the X3D range is a Boxer, Bikini or Thong, all in Black or White.”

I wore the briefs throughout the day and they didn’t wear as great as those previously owned. Granted, these are good underwear, but my review is tainted by my fond memories of those bikinis from the past. The best thing about the briefs is the pouch. I love briefs with a great pouch, granting support during all day wear, which these proved to do perfectly. I ran quite a few errands the day I wore the X3D briefs and they caused no problems with fit and placement. The nylon/spandex type blend fit my body well and the waistband and leg openings caused not binding or twisting.

One thing in particular I did not like was that after wearing the briefs for one day, a seam was coming undone. I don’t believe this is an overall problem with the brand, but one isolated incidence. I’m not going to hold this against them. Overall, they are a great pair of briefs that I will wear again.
