DSThis past month we brought you a write up on runners and spandex. It seems there is a return to form fitting work out wear. Ruskin is one of those brands who has always had the runners and shorts. Each year they release new pairs. I will say that they tend to make some of the hottest work out /active wear gear around.

The two paris we are going to feature are the Bonk! and Zut! The Bonk! is a pair of shorts and the Zut! is a pair of runners!

The Bonk! really reminds me of the shorts back in the 80’s when spandex shorts first came on to the market. Companies didn’t hold back and made some amazing pairs with the brightest colors. It would appear to me that Rufskin has reinvisioned the shorts in a modern cut with new bright colors. I also say they channeled the 80’s because of the stripes on the legs really accents the legs. That is one thing about spandex you can build the seams to really show off and accent what you have! Here is what they say about the pair:

“These are no ordinary bike shorts. As with the other styles in our “LOUD!” athletic collection, we’ve used a combination of bold colors to create another unique piece that will stand out from the crowd. Constructed from shiny royal blue spandex, these tights feature swooping twin stripes wrapping around the side of the left leg. The white and gold bands are punctuated with a sliver of deep navy blue piping, creating a striking and stylish piece that looks great layered under volley shorts or simply worn alone.” Retails for $48

The Zut! is a longer pair of runners that reach the ankle. Much like the Bonk! The Zut! have a two stripes that run down the legs. I really love these. They say you can wear them alone or under something. I think with pairs like these you need to show them off without anything over them. I have to point out the orange piping/stiching on the pair, they out did themselves. Here is what they say about the pair:

“This design takes our basic black running tights POW!, with their seamless sides and shiny spandex, and adds a vibrant infusion of color with wide asymmetrical stripes extending down the full length of the right leg. The royal blue and purple bands are punctuated with a sliver of bright orange piping, creating a striking and stylish piece that looks great layered under shorts or worn alone.” Retails for $58

Both os these are reasonable priced and averrable at the Ruskin site!
