Now that the “Free the Bulge” moment is in full swing, I have heard from so many of you that this is a much-needed movement in the world of underwear, swimwear, and gear. I am very happy to hear that. I think it’s something we need to push more in our community, letting guys express themselves and wear whatever they want without fear or embarrassment.

I can’t do this alone, I will put. Our content is often about this, but I need your help. I need some of you guys to step up and tell your story. Tell how you came to love underwear and gear. And no, your story is not boring, simple, or ordinary. Each guy has their own journey, and there are some amazing stories out there that need to be told. In fact, many of the “my story is nothing special” guys are the ones who usually pull something amazing out of their hat while telling their story.

Why do you need to tell your story?

I know I am not alone when I was growing up and thought I was the only guy into underwear. No one else I knew even talked about underwear. However, I was fascinated by bikinis and jocks. I would buy them when I could with whatever money I could find. Then, in my 20s and with the internet, I learned there is a whole community out there. Guys who love the same things and different things, I would discover and fall in love myself.

It can be scary the first time you put your love into words. Being that open is always a risk, but at UNB/Brief Talk, we are here to support you and help other guys embrace their love. I like to set up a call to chat before any podcast is recorded, so you get comfortable with me, and I can explain the process. You can also ask me anything in return. I love talking to undies guys and am an open book. Once you open up and start telling your story, the nervousness goes away, and it feels like two old friends chatting.

Plus, you coming forward and telling your journey will inspire more to do the same. They may not come on the podcast right away, but they may open up to a friend and tell them their love. “Free the bulge” is about open communication and talking about what you love, even to friends who aren’t into it. It’s about making this the norm in our society. Which is a long road, but I’m here to walk it with you.

How do you tell your story?

First, get in touch with us. There is a form at the end of this post to fill out. First, you do not have to use your real name; you can use your IG name, nickname, or a made-up name. Your privacy is very important to me. I know there are many who can’t be open, show their faces, or even give their real names. Also, I do not share information with others unless I have permission. This means that if I know your Personally Identifiable Information (telephone number, email address, real name, etc.), I do not share it with anyone.

Next, we can do a blog post or podcast, depending on your level of comfort. I want to get more posts on the blog and am very open to written Brief Tales, and I know not everyone is comfortable with public speaking. You have a place at UNB!!

Lastly, if you do fill out the form, please email me back. I have had a good response to the form, but very few have replied to my email . I don’t know if it’s been caught in the spam filter or if people don’t check their emails often. I try to respond within a day or so. Sometimes it’s 48 hours, but I try to do it soon. If you don’t hear back from me, DM me or email me at feedback@brieftalkpodcast.com, and I will follow up.

I am going to create some merch for the Movement and podcasts. If you want anything in particular, let me know. The usual tees and mousepads will be on the menu, but if you want more, let me know.
