Pros:
The color is fantastic, the electric blue is fun
The pink waistband is my favorite thing about the pair
Has the amazing Almost Naked Pouch.

Cons:
If you don’t like the pink waistband, you won’t like this pair

I love Andrew Christian Almost Naked pouch. So when I saw the Happy Brief, I knew I had to have it. The electric blue paired with the bright pink waistband, it was a winner in my book. Mix that with the fabric, and I’m a super happy undies guy.

I have been working 12 hour days at the real job, and the blog has been a weekend endeavor. I wanted to wear something super comfy for a 12 hour day. This one didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t doing my normal desk job, but I was a lot more active. So this brief did get a workout.

The fabric felt awesome. It’s a 95% Cotton 5% Spandex blended fabric. The spandex gives it enough stretch to retain its shape throughout the day. It also was very breathable on top fo that. I could see this as a gym pair. Don’t worry they have other colors of waistbands.

I haven’t had too many issues with sizing with AC. You can pretty much go with the sizing chart. I wore an XL, and it wasn’t too tight or too big. Remember if you are on the cusp of the chart always go larger.

The looks drew me to the pair, but the performance will make this one of the regular pairs in my drawer. The pouch lives up to the legacy of the Almost Naked line. If you’re a bit bigger up front or want a fantastic pouch, this is one to check out.

Recommendation: This is a classic cut brief but made with modern fabrics and colors. It’s perfect for a desk job or blue collar job, and even working out. The pouch is, and the colors are super fun.

One thing I love to do every year is the Reader Survey. I get so many ideas for what you guys do and don’t want to see. Specially on what you guys wear, buy, and share. This year’s survey is a bit longer. I have added more in the swimwear and fetishwear. This survey has a new Gymwear section. So take it and share with us. After the survey ends we will publish the results like we do every year. It’s fun to see where you stack up against other UNB readers. Also, it’s like getting a peek in another guys undies drawer.

When you get married what is one thing that goes through your mind? The date, the venue, the reception, the tux or dress. I don’t know a lot of the general public gives underwear a thought. Well on the men’s side of things. It’s grab what’s in the drawer that day. Gay weddings sometimes i hear of grooms matching undies, but even then it’s rare.

There have been pics I have seen floating around the internet for the last few years. They are wedding pics of the Groom, Best Man, and groomsmen wearing undies that say which one they are on the back. This, I think is more of a straight thing. I haven’t seen this at many gay weddings yet.

Related Undergarments have been posting a few of these pics on their website. I personally think these are super cool pics. Guys dressed in their tuxes with the pants pulled down is just awesome. I know I may be in the minority on this one.

In order to do this you have to have the right group of guys. Guys that are going to be ok, dropping their pants and showing off for the world. I hope we see more of this but I guess time will tell.

Would you do this on your wedding?

Introducing MUCHOCALIFORNIA Swim from Rufksin. This is one of their biggest releases of swimwear they have ever created. They have engineered prints to shiny solids, to a shamelessly sexy “pink AF.” so they say there is nothing missing fom the collection.

They tell us the placement of the prints was no accident. From bananas to peaches to gold rocco motifs. The prints will frame and enhance your body.

The solids come in their upgraded stretch nylonand built with iridescence and seignature Rufskin details.

So, if you want some great choices in swimwear check out the new Rufskin.

Jocks are a staple in men’s underwear. They have been around for years. Initially, they were for sports, then in 2009, we saw the explosion of fashion jocks. In the meantime the sports jocks have virtually disappeared from stores, especially sporting good stores.

Back when I was growing up, and in my early 20’s, you could go to any good sporting store and pick up a Bike jock for about $7. Then they released them in color, and I thought it was the best thing. Granted the colors were just black, blue, and red. This was also the time before the internet was big. Back in the stone ages! LOL

Now when you go to stores, it’s becoming harder and harder to find a jock for athletics. Or for a lot of guys, who love the classic jock, for fetish wear. Currently, the only place I have seen the Bike jocks is at Jockstrap Central.

On a side note, BIke sold their business to a brand called Meyer. At first, I wasn’t sure they were going to keep the line. But, they have the classic jock available.

This got me thinking, are jocks for athletics now going to be specialized? A few weeks ago we profiled the Diamond MMA jock with a cup. This is definitely a jock for a specific purpose. It’s designed not to move and protect the goods during fights.

If you’re curious as to why the decline of the jock, I have one theory that seems to be the best explanation. That simply is UnderArmour. More guys are wearing their gear with cups and without in football, baseball, and other sports. Yes, they make compression shorts with a cup pouch. I think a whole generation has grown up without knowing about jockstraps. If they do, it’s some antiquated piece of clothing from the old days.

I think the birth of the internet is another reason we aren’t finding jocks in stores. Stores are now selling things that bring them a profit. As certain products loose popularity and profitability, they get removed from shelves. Specialty stores are taking up the jock mantle. Plus, a big issue a lot of guys have is buying undies in person. They get very anxious about it and prefer to do it more anonymously. The internet does that nowadays. I never had any issue buying jocks, thongs or any other style/fabric.

I have done a bit of research into the jocks on the market. Most of them are fashion jocks. Yes, they can serve the purpose of a piece of sports gear, but they can be everyday wear. Specialty jocks on the market focus on sports with high contact. That includes hockey, hockey goalie, MMA, and boxing. Each of these jocks is made for extra protection, more support, and are worn only in that sport.

Do I think the classic jock is gone? Nope, there are too many guys out there who love it. It’s ingrained in the fetish community too. Fetish brands are making “classic” jocks to fill the void. Also, what’s old is new again. We will see more jocks in the fashion cycle.

In the meantime, we will have to buy more online than in stores. If you want it you can find it at an online store.

Its Spring! That means time to get some great undies in some spring colors. Nothing says spring like pastel colors. In the past so many companies have shied away from these colors in men’s underwear. Sukrew has embraced the pastel pallet.

The new colors are blue, pink, and green. Each one is pretty awesome, but I have a feeling that a pink brief or jock is going to be very popular! It’s three awesome colors.

This line has two style, the brief and jock. If you haven’t tried the Sukrew jock you are missing out. It’s one amazing jock that you will love to wear. The colors have names, Foxton (green), Radcliffe (pink), and Mortimer (blue). The white waistband really sets this pair off nicely. This waistband is one that I think guys not into bands will like.
