If you know me, you know that I love trying new brands and styles of underwear. I am pretty open minded and will always try something at least once. When I found out that I was getting a pair of Nukleus briefs to review (furnished by Underwear Concept) I was ecstatic. Nukleus is one of the companies that are not out to make a quick buck or get famous from producing undies. They pride themselves on one simple though. “To create everyday solutions for amazing people – our customers.” When I read this on their website, I though, WOW here is a company that really gets their customers. On top of having a great branding strategy (sorry the marketing major got the best of me their) they also create undies “Using innovative and sustainable production methods. we make underwear and basics from eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, Lenzing Tencel and organic bamboo.” Which I find very awesome! Undies for the betterment of the planet, sign me up!

I had the opportunity to review the Nukleus Nicobar Minis R brief, in a size medium. These undies look amazing and are super comfortable. The green color scheme is very earthy and I think is a great representation of their brand. These undies are made from 95% organic bamboo and 5% spandex. If you have never worn anything made with bamboo fiber you are missing out. This fabric is amazing. It is very light weight but durable and the spandex makes it very stretchy so these undies move with you all day. The construction is very traditional when it comes to a brief. The legs are not cut to high and the pouch is very roomy with and they have plenty of coverage around the back. I wear a 32 inch waist and the mediums fit perfect.

I really like the waistband as well.  It is a two-tone elastic logo waistband with a very soft feel to the inside. I love wearing these for just about any occasion. I have worn them to work as well as to the gym and have never had any issue with them. The bamboo offers a nice organic anti-microbial element which makes these a great pair of gym undies.

PROS:

·       Great Company with great values

·       The fabric is amazing and encourage everyone to research and try organic bamboo

·       Comfortable waistband and construction that moves with you all day.

CONS:

·       I love the color but wish their was a little more excitement to it. They are pretty plain.

RATEINGS:

·       Daily Fit – 10

·       Sizing – 10

·       Construction/Materials – 10

·       Styling – 8

·       Daily Performance – 9

·       OVERALL – 9.4

This pair was furnished for review by Nukleus. These come in an assortment of green colors and can be found through the Underwear Concept store  for $6.99.

What made you get into modeling? When did you first model underwear/swimwear?

It was always something that intrigued me, I never thought I would be any good at it but seeing guys modeling with amazing bodies and amazing images made me strive for it and continue to strive to get better. My first shoot was in Spring 2014.

Is there a shoot you consider your breakthrough shoot? One you got noticed by a wide audience?

I would have to say my first shoot with Kevin Hoover while I was still living in NYC. Following this shoot I was contacted by Joe Flowers with Joe Flowers Talent Management and began to be represented by him. Joe was able to book several jobs for me which slowly began to allow for more publicity and a wider audience.

What do you think sets you apart from other models in the industry?

Modeling for me is a hobby more than a profession or something that I rely on to support myself. So, when I’m shooting it’s usually on my terms and I’m able to have fun with it without a lot of pressure.

Shoots can be a lot of work but fun. What is your favorite shoot and why is it your favorite?

My favorite shoot was a recent shoot I did with Landis Smithers. This was a fun shoot because it was an all-day project that involved several wardrobe changes, hair, makeup and 5 or 6 other models. We did solo stuff, pairs and group shots all in a gorgeous house in the Hollywood hills. It also gave me an opportunity to branch out of strictly underwear and swimwear modeling.

Unexpected things can go wrong at a shoot, what has been one of the biggest challenges you faced on a shoot and how did you over come it?

I’ll never forget shooting with James Franklin on location for DNA and we were shooting against a building and the sun was directly in my face and I could not keep my eyes open. I think it was frustrating both of us, but eventually we were able to get the shot just by closing my eyes and only opening them when he was ready for the shot.

Underwear comes in all kinds from boxer briefs to thongs and everything in between. What is the most usual you have modeled?

Most underwear I’ve worn in shoots have been briefs. I did do one shoot for different brands of jock straps for underwear expert. Ive also done swimwear for marcus Australia and ergowear.

There are tons of brands out there, which brands have you worn with on shoots?

I’ve worn many different brands: Todd Sanfield, Pump, Rufskin, cn2, es, ergowear, n2n, marcus, ca-rio-ca etc.

You’ve worked with Armando Adajar on a few shoots, can you tell us about them?

Armando is great to work with. One of my favorite shoots was with him wearing ergowear underwear. It was actually our first shoot together and was supposed to be a test shoot but the images came out so well they were used for the brand. We also did an ergowear swimwear shoot on location at the beach which was also a lot of fun. He’s always easy and fun to work with.

What other  photographers have you worked with?

Kevin Hoover, Harol Baez, Richard Rothstein, Wander Aguiar, Hubert Pouches, Dylan Robinson, Justin Monroe, Jeremy Kost, Jerrad Matthew, Jim Jordan, Landis Smithers, James Franklin, Thomas Avila, Julio Ramirez

Which photographers would you love to work with on future projects?

This list is endless:  Rick Day, Thomas Synnamon, Joseph Sinclair, Brian Jamie, Scott Hoover just to name a few.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in modeling?

I was featured in DNA’s Hottest Men Alive 2014 Issue and being featured in MMensuel Magazine for an interview they did of Wander Aguiar who shot the photos they used.

Outside of modeling and working out what do you do in your down time? What are your hobbies and interests?

I work fulltime so modeling and working out are my hobbies. However, I love going to the beach, traveling as often as I can, seeing broadway shows (which is something I miss about moving out of NYC) and dining out with friends trying new restaurants.

What type of fitness regime do you do to keep in shape, and does it change when you do a shoot?

I mostly do resistance training 5-6 days a week and include HITT cardio 2-3 times a week. Before a shoot I may do more cardio and reduce weight in resistance training and do higher reps.

Models can’t always eat great what is your favorite guilty pleasure in food?

Fried food and pizza are my weaknesses, ive never had much of a sweet tooth.

Being an underwear blog we have to ask are you a fan of underwear?

Of course, one of the benefits of modeling underwear/swimwear is most of the time you get to keep the products. Having a good pair of underwear is always the foundation of the outfit.

Also, so what makes up your underwear drawer?

Most of my underwear are briefs, jocks and thongs have never been my thing.

What is your favorite song right now?

Talk Me Down – Troy Sivan ( the whole album is amazing though)

If you were stranded on a deserted island what is one thing you must have with you?

I would have to say my cellphone. I rely on it for everything plus I could call for help 😉

What is a fact about you that would surprise our readers? (are you shy? Love disco? Know all the words to Star Wars?)

I’m very shy actually especially when meeting someone for the first time. I’m also very self-conscious and am probably my biggest critic.

What is the best advice you got when you first started modeling?

Learn to take criticism, whether from viewers or photographers being able to take constructive criticism is important.

Where can our readers find you on the net and social media?

I’ve been featured in DNA and on theunderwearexpert.com site.

My social media is facebook (Shawn Alexander) and Instagram @shawn.alexander.

This is Clyde.
Clyde knows what works for his ass and what doesn’t.

D.HEDRAL underwear works, like it works for many guys – guys just like Clyde who want a little bit more.
Clyde doesn’t waste time looking through his underwear drawer wondering what the weekend might look like.
Things don’t just happen to Clyde, he makes things happen.

He likes to make a statement with the clothes he wears (and doesn’t wear), telling everybody what he’s about. And Y Not?
With the right pair of D.HEDRAL underwear he knows all about the power of making an impression.
Here’s to people like Clyde, who are a bit bolder than the rest.

I was surfing Facebook and there was something that caught my eye. It was, of all things, a Facebook ad for the new MeUndies Valentine’s underwear. It is a limited edition of Keith Haring. Who just happened to be one of my favorite artists of all time. In his most popular period was the late 80’s and early 90’s. He died in 1990, but his amazing art lives on.

MeUndies has taken his art and turned into amazing underwear. “In true Keith Haring style, this print is a bold celebration of love, featuring his classic work, “Haring Heart”. ” It really has been a while since I have seen much about him and his art. Back in the day he used to get political and was one of the first to really do art to bring attention to the AIDS epidemic. Which is in fact what he died from.

His art has always been something that has spoken to me. It may not be for everyone but it takes me back to my younger days and just makes me smile. His art has always spoken  to me. and this is a pair I MUST buy! Its too good to pass up. Keith Haring’s art has always focused around a heart. It’s one of the common themes that runs through his work.

Ok enough of the Art lesson. I get geeked out when I see his stuff. This is very unexpected from a Valentine’s Day pair. You think  of red, black or something with hearts. But I wouldn’t have thought of using an art print. It shows the creativity of the gang at MeUndies. They are thinking outside the box with the print. They score major points from me!

Now we have a great selection of undies. The collection is for both men and women. The three men’s styles are a boxer brief, trunk and brief. All pairs retail for $24.00. Also, sizes run from small to 3XL. You can join their club and save or just buy the pair. I hope you will go check out this amazing pair before it’s gone! It’s only at the MeUndies site.

Timoteo worked with David Benjamin again on a new grouping for images. We are excited to release these new Camouflage Commando Jocks. We think the images are super hot. Timoteo and David have got a great rapport as they continue to work together to make some sizzling images. Also shot is the Samurai Harness, that is a great hook up set with a sporty feel. The jock comes with clips to hook directly to the bulldog harness. I hope you like the images. Feel free to let me know if you need any of the high res images.

MV-VirtusLine-Conseptual Pics With Logo (1)Modus Vivendi completes its Autumn/Winter 2016 collection with a new line of underwear, singlets and accessories made from Italian velvet. This new line is called Virtus and it combines the soft, soothing touch of velvet with relaxed, sexy styles. The name Virtus derives from the Latin word ‘vir’, which means ‘man’ and has the connotations of courage, manliness and excellence. These new garments are unfussy, masculine and practical and should appeal to men who are uncomplicated, young at heart and fun. On a cold winter’s night they are perfect for relaxing at home and with just a touch of spice to the look they should keep you extra warm!

The photographer we called on to shoot the campaign for the Virtus Line is Kevin Slack, someone who understands not only the steamy sensuality of hot men, but who can convey feeling and character brilliantly. His photographs seem to have a special ability to draw you in – or is that the models he uses… Leaving momentarily his favourite destination, Cuba, Slack worked on the shoot in Toronto, Canada and found the perfect partner for the campaign in model Cianan. We think his amazing, athletic build and his bright, honest face suit the playful, sexy character of this line well and are very pleased with the outcome: a stunning campaign, creative, welcoming and sexy, just like the new Virtus Line by Modus Vivendi.

ae-underwearHey guys, I’m Bryce. You know me from doing the video reviews on the site for the past year. I am a Portland kid who loves the outdoors and anything plaid.

So right now my favorite pair of underwear that I own….and there are hundreds of pairs…is trunks by American Eagle. I recently started shopping at American Eagle and of course had to check out their underwear. So the pairs I have bought are 96% cotton and 4% elastane. The material is really soft to the touch and comfortable to wear.

American Eagle makes lots of fun colors and prints of their underwear. I bought pairs that have ski lifts on them, a pair that is trees, and one that is covered in Christmas lights. It is a fun way to get a color and pattern on your underwear without being a traditional pattern you would see. They also put out underwear designs to go along with the seasons.

The pairs I have are trunks, but there are several different styles to choose from. American Eagle makes trunks, boxers, and briefs. I love my trunks because they come in two different lengths. I have some of the 3 inch trunks, and some 6 inch trunks. The longer ones are good for moving around a lot since they don’t ride up much.

What I love is just how comfortable the under is. It is smooth against the skin and most of the pairs wick moisture away from the body when you get warm. I love having a comfortable pair on that you can forget you are wearing them.

The pairs fit amazing. I got smalls which are what I normally wear in every other brand. The material stretches nicely to fit over my bubble butt. The pair didn’t become too stretched out either, from my movements throughout the day. The one thing is there isn’t much of a pouch, so for guys who need that, these might not be the most comfortable.

You can get the underwear at any American Eagle store inside most malls in the United States. They also have them online at ae.com. I got mine on clearance, and paid around $4 a pair for them. Most of the time the pairs are on sale as well for buy one, get one half price.
