StayWhat would the winter be without a new Tartan line from 2(X)ist. Every year like clockwork they refresh the collection and make it better than the last! This year they have a few new styles. The one that is really cool is the Union Suit! I am going to focus on the Long Johns of the collection. Long Johns are the one thing that seems to get bigger every year and 2(X)ist has put their spin on them with this collection.

The collection has four different colors. They are black, grey heather, cranberry and grey heather/cranberry stripe. My personal favorite is the striped. Its like the print to me that pops. But pick the favorite color and its topped with the famous tartan waistband. Each year they tweet it to make it better than last years. This is a big selling point for me.

You maybe asking sure it looks great but will it function in cold weather? The line is made out of 100% cotton that can be worn under your favorite pants without being too bulky. This with ribbed ankles so they will stay in place through out the day! Lastly, it has a functional fly for those who like those!

The collection is out now and comes in a limited edition log box. This package is one of the most creative for underwear I have seen in a long time. So if you need long johns this year check the Tartan line out from 2(X)ist. The Long Johns retail for $39

vonCoda underwear by Dawid Koczy_5I received an email this weekend from VonCoda. Which is an underwear company I have never heard of before. But these pictures really intrigued me. They are doing something different and fun. Their site is in Polish so Google Translate didn’t do a good job with the text. Their Facebook page says the are a handmade underwear company. I have emailed them to find out more. But in the mean time enjoy this collection, which will be released December 1at!

Bartłomiej Chabałowski photographed and directed the new vonCoda Underwear 2014/2015 print campaign starring model Bartłomiej Brykalski. Stylist: Marcin Kulak. The collection was designed by Dawid Koczy. Premier – 1st of December.

Obviously is one of those great underwear companies that I think doesn’t get much notice. Those who know about the brand rave about them but I think there is a large number of people in the US who still don’t know about them. So when they release a new range we MUST report it to you guys!

The new range or line as they call it in Australia is the Premium range. “The Essence Collection is the first release, is made from our custom blend of incredibly softMicroModal and Lycra – giving you a level of comfort that truely has to be experienced to be believed.”

The collection features the Naked Brief, Trunk, Boxer Brief 3 inch and Boxer Brief 9 inches. The colors available are Black, White, Graphite and Insignia Blue You maybe asking “What is the Naked part of the line?” This s what their site says “The Naked Range is specifically engineered for those guys who are not afraid to go Naked and experience the freedom that an anatomical pouch provides. The pouch technology lets your package hang as nature intended and sets a new standard in superior comfort and fit.”

I will say that Obviously is one company I have loved since before I started UNB. They have made amazing underwear made for real men. If you want to see more go to the Obviously site! We hope you will go check them out and buy some amazing underwear!

AlexanderCOBB-Dorian-07We received a bunch of amazing pictures from Alexander Cobb. This is what they said about the collection. “The collection is completed with one-color underwear, in classical variations without much color intervention, or in combination with bordered finish and seam of another color, to add dynamic to models.  The colors are black and white, classical and timeless, as well as warm yellow, bright and sunny, and blue that portrays men’s principles. ”

dt-essentials-underwearWOW! Not only have we introduced three new styles to the DT Essentials Underwear range, but we have reduced the regular pricing on the original jockstrap and jock brief and as an introductory offer, we’ve put the works on sale for 10% off. That’s 10% off the new regular pricing at Jockstrap Central

DT is all about getting back to basics with their Essentials collection. Sure, all the newfangled underwear with the splashy names with gizmos and gadgets are great but sometimes you just need a pair of underwear that’s stylish in it’s simplicity and so comfortable you’ll forget you’re wearing it. The Essentials range is just that. Joining the jockstrap and jock brief we launched a month or so ago, are the new Essentials Low Rise Brief (with a pouch within a pouch for a better bulge,) the Asymmetric Brief (our personal favorite for it’s streamlined subtle styling) and Boxer Brief (for it’s total comfort factor).

All five designs come in three colors: Army, Black or Grey. Be sure to check out our models Dan, Gerry and Matt modeling all the gear to see how the DT underwear fits three distinctive different body types.

Modus Vivendi - Wolf Line 06
Modus Vivendi proudly presents the third part of its spectacular 2015 campaign in which its latest collection is presented by 10 of the most individual, visionary photographers working around the globe today.

After visiting Leicester for Gavin Harrison’s shoot of the new Pride line and crossing the Atlantic all the way to sunny California, where Tom Cullis gave us some unforgettable images of the Military line, our next stop in Modus Vivendi’s 2015 style campaign is Thessaloniki, Greece, the home of the brand itself.

Using his imagination as his only weapon and the Wolf Line as his inspiration, Greek photographer Nick Gogas was unleashed to present this new line in his own inimitable way. The results, we think, are amazing.

The Wolf line is masculine, contemporary and with a certain sense of fun. And this is precisely the spirit which our Greek photographer captures in his work, presenting the line in a straightforward yet visually striking fashion.

The charismatic model chosen by Nick Gogas is Christos Artemiou. Dark and moody, Christos oozes quiet energy and confident style.
Winter is coming. The Wolf line is here. Stylish, in subtle tones of dark blue and grey. Warm to wear, in fabrics of the highest Italian quality. And unmistakably Modus Vivendi (with all the detailing the brand is famous for), the Wolf line delivers on promise: strong, imposing, fascinating.

I have known about Shrine Boxers for almost a year. Rob, the owner came to Vegas and one of our Meet and Greets. The first thing I noticed was he was taller than I was, and I”m 6’4”. The next thing was he started a underwear company. He told me why he started the company (see the Kickstarter post). He really impressed me!

In a recent call he brought up my interview about how “I hate boxer briefs” and said when theirs comes out it will change my mind. Those are big claims.  But, I decided to go into it with an open mind! The pairs came in the mail and the first thing that I liked was the quality. The fabric was very well made and perfect for working out or being active. I wore these to work in a very hectic and busy day.

I did everything form sit at the desk, run up and down stairs to being super active that day. Other Boxer Briefs I have had got very hot and uncomfortable during the day. This pair breathed and felt great. Its like they made it for super active guys. I will say it really impressed me on how well it did. The pair didn’t ride up in the legs. Which is another pet peeve of boxer briefs. They stayed in place and didn’t bunch. So score another point.

My one are alf concern was the pouch. They didn’t have a defined pouch as I would like. So from the time I put them on I worried about them loosing shape and me being uncomfortable. Granted the pouch didn’t stay 100% perfect for me but it wasn’t one where I wanted to take them off half way through the day.

Sizing with a new brand is never easy. You don’t know if the size guide is correct. I”m about a 38/40 currently and the XL fit me pretty well. I don’t see a copy of their size chart on their page yet. The line should be released soon and we will add them to our size guide! But it should be pretty standard shipping

Overall these were very good boxer briefs. Did it change my mind, well I won’t say I’m a super huge fan but I will be wearing these more than a lot of other boxer briefs. They are perfect for a busy day and will breath with you. I am really impressed

Pros:

  • Breathable materials
  • Prefect for an active day
  • Great construction

Cons:

  • No defined pouch

Ratings

  • Daily Fit – 8.5
  • Sizing – 9
  • Construction – 10
  • Styling – 8.5
  • Daily Performance – 9
  • Overall – 9

As I sit here typing i have just in from doing the Long Johns shoot with some amazing N2N. One pair in that shoot is the N2N Lounge Pants. Which I’m supposed to be reviewing in this review but… I sorta mailed them to Tim in LA by mistake and kept his Onezee. So we’re trading them out and will have those reviews soon! DOH!

The Lounge collection is amazingly soft. Its made to do just what it says, lounge around the house and feel comfy all day. The brief is no different. When I slid them on I immediately noticed how soft they were. I was a little worried they may not have great support through the day. But, being N2N, I should have known better. They now how to make underwear with an amazing pouch and support.

This pair is made out of 95% rayon/5% spandex and says “conforms to every curve yet has enough fabulous stretch to accommodate for maximum comfort. “ Which I can attest to it does everything in the description. I wore it to work on a regular day. It wasn’t running up and down stairs or any of that but a lot of up and down and around the office. The pair always felt amazing and most of the day I forgot I was wearing underwear.

The sizing is always pretty standard with them. I rarely have an issues with missizing or things running small. You can always count on N2N having great sizing across all lines. If you are a large in one line you are going to be a large in another. This is, I feel, one of their strengths. I received and XL and it was a little larger on me, I did go up in waist size but working on going smaller again.

This pair is a great pair for lounging around the house. Just super comfy and amazing. I can see many of you out there having your Sunday morning coffee and relaxing around the house, reading the paper or watching Netflix

Pros:

  • Amazing material that is super soft
  • Great pouch design
  • True sizing

Cons:

  • wish had more colors
  • some guys may not like the looser fit.

Ratings:

  • Daily Fit – 9
  • Sizing – 10
  • Materials – 10
  • Styling – 9
  • Daily Performance – 9
  • Overal – 9.4

Are you a big fan of colorful underwear? Like bold patterns? Mix that in with a nice waistband and you have the new C-IN2 Culture Club collection. Available in a brief, army trunk (both are Lo No Show) and jock. We are profiling the brief. It’s available in 8 different colorful prints. There are too many amazing prints to choose from!

C-IN2 says this about the line: C-IN2 Culture Club infuses pop art with men’s underwear. Engineered printing is used to individually paint artwork onto each pair of underwear for precision placement. The Culture Club collection is made of super-soft Tencel with Spandex and finished with a high fashion, high gloss Microfiber waistband. Culture Club’s art changes seasonally to reflect trends in pop art and remains chic.

These are going to be some of my favorite pairs from C-IN2. Lately I have fallen in love with bold and bright patterns. This one is a little more abstract than the previous Culture Club collection but still has some great prints! I have two favorites the blue and green pairs. One is a blue on top and green on the bottom and the other is a green print on one side and blue on the other. They are just amazing and super fun.

The Culture Club Lo No Show brief retails for $30 at the C-IN2 website.
