2EROS Icon Series Reinvented

2EROS has just released a re-invented Icon Series. This is the first series of underwear they released. I remember when they came onto the underwear scene. They have grown and created many great pairs of swim and underwear. The new icon range pays homage to the original but moves it forward. Like their other collections this is available in a brief and trunk:

Underwear of the Month – 2EROS Jock Series U04.08

If you are like me, where ever you are has turned COLD! Some of us may even be breaking out the long johns! However, I wanted to find a fun pair of underwear that would be a great Underwear of the Week. I saw this pair back at Magic in the Fall. I really loved the color combinations and fabric. So I find it fitting that a company out of Australia would be our Underwear of the Week this week. That brand an pair is the 2EROS Jock Series Brief.

Underwear should be a lot of fun. Since you are a reader, we assume you feel the same way too! Here are reasons why this made our Underwear of the Week:

Great color combinations, specifically the Blue pair is striking with the red contrast.

UNB Holiday Guide 2012

Welcome to the 2012 Holiday Guide. This has to be the biggest guide we have done to date. We had over 80 pairs of underwear, three models, a photographer, an assistant and a stylist. We are going into our own photography and will be launching something soon, so stay tuned. Magic Coverage: 2EROS and Supa Wear for 2012-2013

This was the first time I got to meet with 2EROS. I think this was the first time they were at a US show! It was great to see the new collection and find out more about them. I know they aren’t too well known in the US. I have seen a few retailers selling them however it’s mainly been on Facebook and the internet that I ran across them. They have been around I think since the start of UNB. We have covered them in the past and after meeting them you can definitely count on seeing them more on UNB.

One thing I think is great about 2EROS is they have a lot of fun creating underwear. It shows in the designs and colors they use. They aren’t a line you would think plain. They mix leather and rubber accents with colors and different fabrics.

Here is bit of what we talked about at Magic!

US Collection

US Summer
- Tab series
  - Not a super low rise but low rise (tab at the top)
  - No lining on Tab Series, only in the pouch and tab sticks to the skin and yellow/white shows skin
- Signature Stripes
  - Has the same fit as tab
  - The new waistband to a custom design and waistband is sewn into the band and includes draw string and 2eros logo toggles on the end draw string
  - White is lined (and kinda of see through)
  - Available in candy and black
- Signature shorts
  - Has the same waistband as signature shorts
  - They are shorter shorts
  - Also has in between sizes
  - Mesh lined
  - Same colors as the Signature stripes
- Outback
  - Colors are Forrest, marine and sand – based on outback theme
  - Mixed texture together with mesh and shiny waist band with faux leather ( eco friendly and water proof)

  - First woven pattern 2EROS has done
  - Has a leather logo on the waistband
  - Has the same design as the Outback Swim
  - All underwear has a low rise.
  - Focusing on bigger pouches in the collection
- Day Racer
  - Will be available mid September
  - Is a cross between a brief and a trunk
  - Will have a waistband that is navy red and silver. The logo in in the waistband
  - The main body color will be white
  - 2EROS gave more room at pouch and wider waistband
- Jock Series
  - Is available now!
  - The line is created with “universally” liked colors
  - The line is made from Tactel’ (a type of Nylon) with wicking and elastane.
  - When released the Jock straps will only be in one color – Blue
  - Briefs comes in two colors – red and blue
  - The Jock series has a bigger pouch then other collections.

Supawear
- Will be priced at a lower price pint and younger
- Unlike 2EROS the line will only consist of one fabric which is elastine cotton
- All briefs are low rise
- Supa Man is a brief that is made every day wear – bold waistband, SW on back
- Supa Drive has a Metallic waistband in cyan magenta and trunk is red and blue
- Swimwear – both have the same fit as 2EROS but a different treatment.
- The difference is a standard standard drawstring with SW logo, rubber tag back in on the back waistband
- Supasonic – has a three color waistband and leg trim that alternates. Meaning it doesn’t match each other but rather matches the Waistband.

UNB Swimwear Guide 2012

Firs thing I have to do before we get into the guide is thank the awesome sponsors above! How did you get started designing underwear/Swimwear?

When I started the brand there was very little option in swimwear and underwear design for men looking for quality and fashionable designs without the heavy pricetag.

I want to give men more options at a reasonable price. The market at the time was mainly sports brands or OTT(Over The Top) swimwear for a very small market. There wasn’t many fashion focused swimwear for guys at an affordable price and this is what 2EROS Offers. 2EROS offers a range of swimwear and underwear apparel for confident men who are looking for simple, clean-cut designs that are both stylish and functional. We reject mediocrity and are not afraid to explore beyond typical swimwear/underwear colour palettes.

2EROS has done some really great and creative pairs, what is your inspiration?

Pop-culture, luxury and all forms of design inspire me. Evidence is in the colours, fit and quality we choose for the 2EROS brand. We focus on making sure the 2EROS Brand compliments the wearer and make him the focus in and out of the pool/beach.

What has been the favorite pair you have designed?

This question is like asking a parent which child do you love more? I really love them all. Each collection portrays a certain personality and occation. The ‘Icon Series’ is a fun, simple and sexy collection, on the other end of the scale we have the ‘Black Label’, which is sleek, sophisticated and smoking sexy.

Tell us about the current 2EROS line?

We have Launched 5 style in last 2months. The most we have ever done since we launched in 2008.

Firstly, we introduced ‘Core’ Underwear. Our customers are interested in everyday underwear that is comfortable and affordable yet doesn’t compromise on the style and quality. Core Underwear is made from Soft Bamboo and Cotton with Elastane.

We also launched the ‘Signature’ Collection Swimwear. Following the success of our super low-rise swimwear V01.01 Icon swimwear we have offered our next generation logo design.

Then arrived the Zig-Zag, our first custom printed trunk with a unique zig-zag design. Made for the guy who loves trunks.

Finally we introduced 2 new swim shorts not so long ago.
The ‘Black Label’ and ‘Icon2’. The Black Label is a sophisticated design with a longer leg and fine metal logo patch on the back.

Icon2 is our lightest, quick-dry and low-rise shorts. The leg length is between the S01.01 Icon shorts and the S02.10 Black Label shorts.

What are some of the trends you are seeing in Men’s Underwear in Australia

Men’s swimwear design in becoming more adventurous with more style and colours than ever before, which means designers are working harder to give you something unique. The day where new brands just offer basic trunks will need to give more.

How do US and Australian customers differ?

The target market for 2EROS buyers are men who is interested in fashion and a love for thy self J. This is the same for both nations and therefore I don’t think we are different at all.
