Brief Tales: Jeff on Swim Briefs, Confidence, and Being Yourself

What starts with a love of underwear can become a much bigger conversation about identity, confidence, and living openly. In this Brief Tales episode, Tim welcomes Jeff, a Vancouver-based music industry professional, to share his journey from baggy boxers to briefs, bikinis, and embracing swim briefs in public.

Jeff opens up about body image, comparing yourself to other men, and learning that you don’t need a particular body type to wear what makes you feel good. Tim and Jeff also explore expectations around masculinity, differences in beach culture between North America and Europe, and the freedom that comes with letting go of other people’s opinions.

Working in artist management, including the country music world, Jeff explains why being authentic matters professionally as well as personally. He shares how a lack of representation held him back early in his career—and why he now wants others to see that they can succeed while being themselves.
