Timoteo just sent us these pics. This picture features Marina Low Rise. We have profiled this pair before on UNB. It is one of the hottest swimwear pairs of the summer! Summer is not over so don’t miss out on swimwear season!
Modus Vivendi is doing what they promised at the start of the summer. They are steadily releasing new pairs to the Dreamland collection. The latest is the Fantasia. This line has some really fun styles such as the Flag Brief and Jock. The jock is not your regular jock, Modus Vivendi put their spin on it.
The pair I love the most is the main pic here. It’s the Bon Bon Mini Brief. Its awesome that bikinis are making a comeback! I got hooked on them when growing up and are my favorite style. Very few actually make them any more. Modus Vivendi is a company that plays by it’s own rules!
Here is what they tell us about the line:
I had the pleasure of getting to know Nick this week. He’s a model and self described underwear lover. He’s told us this about him.
I am Italian and Polish, and come from an amazing family. I have 3 brothers, and two wonderful parents. You will come to know that I am extremely energetic and tend to talk alot with my hands (must be the Italian in me). Lol! I have a very Loud personality. I’m extremely athletic and outgoing and pretty much spend most of my time working out at the gym. Furthermore, I love to dance, shop, listen to music, and entertain
He’s a super nice guy and we hope we get to work with him soon! Let us know what you think of Nick! Shot by Furiousfotog!

Teamm8 has really come on strong in the US Market this last year. They have released some amazing swimwear and now are releasing a few more pairs to their Underwear line. The first pair they are releasing is the Touchdown Brief. The Touch Down brief joins the team of the other low cut briefs in their line up.
One of the first things you will notice are the colors. The color names are pretty eye catching and fun. However the names of the colors they use are pretty fun. They are mouth watering Mandarin (orange), Scrumptious Sorbet (pink/red) and Juicy Apple (green). The world of underwear has really been coming up with creative names this past year. Some of you may think it’s out there but it just makes me smile because it’s part of the fun factor! The colors are set off by a black waistband with the Teamm8 logo in grey. I think the black accents the bright colors really well.
From the Teamm8 site: It’s a TOUCHDOWN! This electrifying number joins our team of super-low cut briefs. And don’t let the effortlessness of its detail fool you. It features a slick and sexy double piping along the bottom and side panel, dominated in black and accompanied by a thin white glow. “
If you are looking for a really fun brief then I would suggest the Touchdown brief. The pictures and video for the line were done by James Demitri. Find this on the Teamm8 website.

Today I have the great pleasure of reviewing the N2N Signature Boxer. When I opened the package and saw that I was reviewing another pair of N2N I knew these were going to be a great pair of underwear, and I was right.
They were black with blue inset panels on either side of the roomy front pouch. My visual QC inspection was as I expected from N2N, The finest quality material and workmanship. The seams were executed perfectly and the fabric was soft and sturdy. The waistband is sporty and fun with that hint of sexiness that N2N always delivers.
The blend of 90% cotton and 10% makes for a great pair of underwear that stretches where it should and stays put where it’s supposed to. N2N always finds the best material for making their awesome underwear.
When I put them on I was pleased with the fit and the look. The front pouch was roomy and super comfortable. There was no binding in the legs or the waistband. When I looked in the mirror I was pleased with how they compliment my butt and legs.
My work day was a busy one with lots of moving, bending and lifting. These trunks never once let me down. I did not have to adjust the legs or the pouch once. As usual, it was a warm day and these trunks breathed and kept me cool with no sticky crotch that you can get with so many other underwear.
I wear a size medium and the sizing was perfect. I often worry that with my thick thigh muscles they leg openings will be tight but these trunks fit like a glove.
Pros:
- Soft, stretchy but firm material
- Fun and sexy waistband
- Great color combination
- Perfect for all day wearing with no problems
- Great fit for your butt and crotch
Cons:
- Limited color options
Ratings:
- Daily fit – 10
- Sizing – 10
- Construction/Material – 10
- Styling – 10
- Daily Performance – 10
- Overall – 10
These trunks were provided by N2N Bodywear. You can see their full line at www.n2nbodywear.com

It was 8 years ago that Cocksox sprung onto the men’s underwear scene. At that time I was just a blog reader and came across these amazing pics of a guy in red bikinis. It was much later I realized that this brief is the CX01. The pictures were amazing and the pouch is what intrigued me the most. Not being a blogger at the time, I would have to long for this amazing undies.
In 2007 I was a college student. So, getting undies shipped from Australia was not something that was in my budget. At the time I was shopping the underwear sections at Marshall’s & TJMaxx. Spending full price on undies was not in the budget. Later in 2007 I joined another underwear blog. I was a writer and one of the guys had an extra CX01 White and sent it to me. I got it and immediately put it on and I couldn’t believe the fit. I was upset it wasn’t the red that was in the picture, but it fit amazing regardless of the color.
The pouch is the most important thing in underwear to me. The pouch in the Cocksox is a one piece design. There are not straps or such to keep you in place. Like the name says it’s a sox for your, you know…The Cocksox famous pouch feels like was made just for me. It fit me like a glove! I fell in love right then with Cocksox. It holds everything in place, which I like in my underwear. The pouch also has the ability to sort of enhance what you have. It pushes up and out. So be careful what you wear because someone may get an eyeful depending on what you wear!
Another thing about Cocksox is they have lasted a long time. The very first pair I have from 2007 I still have and wear! Its not often you have a pair that last that long. The only problem I had with Cocksox over the last few years was with the Backstage line. Backstage is a line made out of modal. Modal fabric is super thin and can tear easily, but it feels so soft and breathable. Its still an amazing line. I have never worn anything I didn’t like from Cocksox
We flash forward to 2009. UNB is about six months old and I start working with brands. One of the first I ever dealt with was Cocksox. Before going any farther I have to say there are few brands that I don’t like working with, and those that are…well I won’t say here! But I got to know the gang at Cocksox. First through email. I did a lot with them back in the day and would cover them I think every week.
Then in 2010 I met them in Vegas for the first time. It was so much fun putting the face with the name. I have since met with them a few times in Vegas and have done countless reviews. I used to hog all the reviews for myself but since shared with others on the site. This is evident by the underwear reviews we just recently posted for them and the new CSX line. They are some of the most amazing people in undies. They introduced me to a candy from Australia called Minties and i’m so upset they aren’t here in the US.
One of the more humorous things that ever happened was back in 2010 I did a review for the CX01 in Magenta/Pink. I was going to wear it to an interview. I looked down and I swear it looked like I was smuggling softballs in my pants. I went “There is no way I can wear this to an interview.” So I promptly changed.
I want to note, I Googled to try and find the original picture. But no luck then I realized my personal blog I started in 2004, eventually became UNB. So I searched UNB and on page 28 I found the original pics! So they are posted here! They aren’t big but still amazing and bring back memories.
I love it when companies really succeed. To stand the test of time and be in the underwear market for 8 years is an accomplishment. I say, CONGRATS COCKSOX, we hope to have you around for 8 more years, at least…
We bring you something new from Joe Snyder. This is the new Dazzle collection that is a bit sparkly! So it’s a little bit of bling on the fabric. They are super fun and will draw attention to yourself at the beach!

I love bringing you guys brands you may not have heard of before. This week I was emailed by the PR firm who represents MACKEENE that they are launching in the US. You may be ask, “Ok, who are they?” Well here is more info about the company:
“The eight-year old company, founded by French brothers, Rodolphe and Harold Mackeene, features high-end swimshorts and polos that are designed for exceptional freedom of movement, as well as ultimate performance. MACKEENE’s mission is to combine innovation, luxury and comfort; all inspired by an active and definitively chic St. Bart’s lifestyle to a global audience.
Upon meeting Rodolphe, a professional kite surfer and purveyor of wanderlust, and his brother Harold, an artist and graphic designer in Paris, one is instantly transported to their life of high-design performance and stylish integrity. The St. Bart’s born brothers joined their uniquely different passions to create a cohesive line of luxury swimshorts that fuses technology with function, and with three distinctive cuts for all varieties of the sophisticated and stylish, modern man. Leading the industry with their patented magnetic closure created for extreme sports, and combined with quality materials, craftsmanship and world-renowned French style, MACKEENE is the definition of form, function and fashion. The brand is currently sold at high-end swim and resort boutiques in France, as well as throughout Europe, Japan and the Caribbean. Newly launched in the USA, the brand is exclusively available at www.MACKEENE.us. “
So I went over to the newly launched US site and gave it a look. I will say if you’re a swim short fan, this site is for you. They have some really great colors and patterns. The styles are not very skimpy or too long. Its very stylish with what guys are wearing. Another thing you need to know is they are not on the low end on price. They are over $100 a pair. Which to some, that’s not a big deal. We have readers who will not balk at the price and order a few.
I think they may do well in the US with the the style and colors. They are very main stream. I’m not saying that in a bad way, but rather men’s swimwear wearers are becoming more fashion conscious. The guys are wanting to look good on the beach not just buy something off a rack at a department store!
If you want something really fashionable, fun and few people will have it go to MACKEENE’s new US website and give them a look.
It’s been a while since we profiled Timoteo! This is from amazing photog Tom Cullis. This is Michael wearing Sport 2.0 Super Low Brief. Find this and more at the Timoteo site.

PetitQ sent us some really great pics. These are super creative and fun. This features model Dylan Knight, who by chance is an acrobat as well. It was shot in Las Vegas by Nahum Robles. We have a few more to share
I’m starting the mind numbing process of job hunting. I wish UNB was my full time gig! But I must do like most and subsidize my underwear love with a real job! UNB is an amazingly fun distraction from the job hunt process.
2(X)ist Sliq Mesh – This is one of those pairs I”m surprised that I like. I am not a big fan of 100% my lon pairs. Mainly because they have no stretch or give. I like undies that conform to me and my body. The part i love the best is the way this feels against my skin. The first time I put them on I was like OMG these feel amazing. This pair won’t show off a huge bulge but the feeling of the fabric just does something to me. The red pair I have is perfect for interviews. It feels great with out being too distracting and gives a good amount of support. (Picture from International Jock)We decided to do a throw back Thursday, this time featuring the Skmpeez Undeez. This is the jockstrap they had a few years ago. Do you remember this pair?
Are you Brave? Do you want to be Brave? If you answered yes then the new range from aussieBum is for you. Camo has been a big trend in men’s underwear for the last few years. Each year I think we will see the end of the trend but someone comes up with a new way to make fun camo underwear.
This line mixes the camo print with sports mesh. Yup you heard me, sports mesh, which is one of my favorite new fabrics for underwear. It just feels amazing and sexy on me. I haven’t been a fan of nylon undies because there isn’t much give, but something out the feel of the sports mesh just gives a bit and is super breathable. I have a few pairs by other brands and on super hot days I wear them and it makes me much cooler.
This range from aussieBum is available in a hipster and brief. It comes in two different colors a traditional green camo and a blue camo print. I really love the green, since It’s my favorite color. However, the blue is pretty hot too! Its really a fun line that is not something I would see from aussieBum.
The one thing I really love about aB is they put their own down under spin on undies and swimwear. This pair is the perfect example of that and we hope you go check it out. The brief is available for $28.15 and the Trunk is $31.91.
