Masculinity isn’t limited to one sexual orientation. It’s across the sexual spectrum and we all react different to having our masculinity questioned. It’s a joy to talk to Scott because he doesn’t let an article of clothing, an activity, or what other people define him or his masculinity.

We take you back to the beginning of UNB for this Brief Distraction to April 2009 (only six months into the blog). We featured this picture from the brand Iqoniq, who sadly left the business a few years ago. They were pretty awesome and one company we miss.

This is the Freak brief from Edge Japan. I am loving what Edge is doing in Japan and the cuts, colors and prints. Be warned going to the Edge site is not written in English. So be prepared to translate.
In January 2023, underwear and cover model Dominic Albano launched his eponymous underwear line, which consists of three styles and three colors.
After a successful launch, Albano has released two new styles, a more traditional black trunk and thongs in blue and black. This is the collection’s debut for a blue color.
Dominic’s first campaign, shot by photographer Andrew Gleason, dropped in December of 2022 and featured colorful imagery inside of a retro home used as the backdrop.
For the collection’s second campaign, Albano seems to have gone with a vintage look again, rocking pink hair, but this time using more of a simple background to shoot with. Dominic’s social media features Polaroids to coincide with the campaign pictures and has reshot the original pieces to match the new aesthetic.
Dominic has been notoriously private and has kept his page strategically curated, not offering much of his private life to his fans. Despite his mysterious persona, Dominic has never been shy when it comes to showing off, whether it be for PlayGirl, Yummyzine or his own line.
Although he’s the face of his brand, Dominic has seemingly taken a step back from self promotion and has been posting selfie photos taken by his customers, showcasing his brand’s inclusivity.

Welcome to the 2023 Reader Survey. There isn’t much changed to this survey except an expanded podcast section and a deeper social media section. We have grown the podcast a lot over this last year and I want to see what you guys want to hear on the podcast. I have a paragraph section where you can write as much as you would like.
Also, the social media section is a little richer than in years past. I think we have all had an interesting year with social media and things are a little unsure in the men’s underwear world. I want to see where you are, what you think about the situation and a little about the future. I’ll leave this up for about two weeks and then calculate the results and share them by May!
