Papi Jocks – Best Budget Jocks on the Market

Are you a big fan of jocks? Or maybe you want to give them a try for the first time. If you choose a fashion jock, they can run from $15-30 a pair. If you opt for the classic jock it maybe not what you are looking for and a bit too much. One brand that makes some of the best jocks on the market is Papi. To top it off they are $22 for three! You heard me, it’s under $7 a pair.

The Papi Multi-pack jock is one I have bought many of them over the years. The initial purchase was the price. I think I got all three jocks for $17 at the time (on sale if I remember correctly). I thought if they aren’t any good I didn’t waste big money on them. The first time I wore them, I was impressed. It gives you ample support and they are very well made. They were so good, I used to pack them to wear in the Vegas summer when I went. If you’ve never worn a jock in HOT climates, you need too!

The jocks are made out of 100% pure cotton. Which I’m normally not a fan of but these just fit great. The waistband is a regularly sized band. Nothing super fancy or colors. I think the simplicity will deceive guys out there to think that this is something you would get in a big box store. But it’s one of my top jocks in my drawer.

I’m not sure I would wear this for sports, there are other pairs that would suit you better. But for an everyday jock, this is perfect. You can wear to work, out on the town or just around the house. I have even worn it under a suit! So go check out this and the other multi-packs at Papi!

Sean Alexander’s New Underwear Line

We are sure you know who Sean Alexander is even if you didn’t know his name. He has been in many Aronik Swim pictures over the last few years. He is also one of the founders of Model Trainers NYC,  along with models Nick Sandell and Michael Dean. The business seems to be thriving. Sean has added something else to his resume, an underwear designer. His line is called Sean Alexander.

The new line just has just one pair, the “Timeless Trunk.” Which is a classic cut trunk in black. I give Sean props for starting small. Plus this pair really matches his personal brand. I see more classic cuts coming to the line. I don’t think we will see a thong or something on the wild side.

Another thing he is bringing to the brand is his philanthropy. He and his fellow Model Trainers often post about clothing drives and other charity events in their Instagram stories and social media. “Each time you treat yourself or a loved one with a piece by Sean Alexander, a contribution is made to help those in need of clothing. Look good, feel good, do good.”

Cellblock 13 Torque Jockstrap and Brief:

Both jockstrap and brief is made with Viscose with a hint of spandex. Cellblock 13 Torque Harness:

Just $29. Seriously! Replacing the usual metal hardware and rubber of their higher-end harnesses, Cellblock 13 ingeniously created this budget friendly harness by utilizing a series of tough polyester & spandex elastic straps joined with heavy-duty thick rubber rings. These great fabrics together allow for great flexibility and elasticity.

In the front: over the shoulder and under the armpit straps join two rubber rings that sit above your pecs. Another wide strap with centered CB13 logo joins the rings running horizontally and centered across your chest. In the back: straps run over your shoulders and under your armpits joining in a criss-cross to a center rubber ring smack-dab between your shoulder blades.

New PetitQ For Fall

The boys at PetitQ are busy! They are one of the few brand that put out new collection every two or three months. I know the work that goes into collections coming out two times a year but we are on the 5th collection of 2018. Each collection comes with some super fun pieces of gear.

One thing that some of you guys will love about the new collection is the Mega Bulge collection. Those are in the main pic above. You can get the Mega Bulge in a brief, jock or boxer briefs. I know we have plenty of guys who love to show off! These will be great for a date night or under any jeans you want to ewar out!

Another thing that PetitQ is known for are harneses. They have embraced the style and are making it their own. They are putting the super fun and sexy PetitQ spin on the ones they are designing. Some have a traditional vibe, while others have the sexy and fetish spin of PetitQ. Either way you go you will have fun wearing these.

Jockstrap Wednesday – 2(X)IST Military Sport Jock

Thongs have started to take over a lot of the men’s underwear world. But the good ole jockstrap isn’t going any where. One brand that has some great jocks is 2(X)IST. They have the new Military Sport Jock. I really like this jock a lot! I’m just a bit bummed the green is sold out.

This is the official description from the 2(X)ist website:

Our best selling jock silhouette has gone military. Crafted from our signature Speed Dri fabric, this jock strap keeps you cool and dry during even your most intense workouts while the contrast colored leg straps transform a basic performance garment into a fashion statement. The Original Contour Pouch provides extra support.

The thing that caught my eye was the contrasting leg straps. Has this been done before? Probably but I can’t remember an execution this good! The contrast is amazing and pops. The Green/Orange one is the one I saw, I was like I WANT, darn it! But the other colors are awesome. The navy/yellow is just as fun! If I had to guess why the green sold out is the whole camo feel with the green/orange.

This jock is more of a fashion jock. Not saying you can’t wear it to work out, in fact, they encourage that in the description. The waistband is about 1 inch, whereas a traditional jock is 3 inches. The leg straps are smaller and the pouch is not a nylon mesh. Yes I have a strict definition as to what is a classic jock.

This is one of the best jocks I have seen in a while! I hope you guys will check it out!

Why are Classic Colors so Popular?

I am having a super busy week coming off the Labor Day holiday and a bit of writer’s block. This next month marks 10 years of doing UNB. I feel like I’ve done it all on the site. I may feel that way but there’s always more to cover, it’s just the time to do write it all up! And, so many posts I have done can always be revisited and changed. Tonight was a bit different, I was looking through the reader survey and something struck me, as I said this survey helps us with content.

I was looking at the favorite colors. You guys chose the top four colors were Black, White, Blue and Red. Red isn’t necessarily a classic color. Black, blue (Navy), white and grey. But These results were not close, where it was separated by a small margin. It was pretty much a blow out for these four colors.

As I have said many times classic cuts and styles are not boring. I know we have guys who go for day glow pink and I say ROCK THAT PINK. But if you love the classic colors never be ashamed or shy away from what you like. There is no right or wrong in underwear, it’s all what you like. You have to wear it for 18 hours a day and wear what gives you confidence.

So why are these color so popular? I wish I had this super scientific or sociological insight but I don’t. I think part of is what you were raised on and second these colors go with everything. I subconsciously match my underwear, shirt or tie. It’s been a habit for so long it’s ingrained into who I am.
