Today’s Brief Distraction is another featuring model Justin Coale. We will be seeing a lot more of him coming up. We hope to be working with him soon as well!
I’m reviewing Candayman futuristic zipper brief. It’s a black and metallic silver and blue color block brief with a zipper opening on the left Title: Review – Candyman 9696 Futuristic Zipper Brieffront. The label says it’s made from 97% polyester and 3% lycra. Despite metallic appearance, all parts of it have the stretch due to the lycra. This brief is available in three different metallic colors and retails for $25.
Just out of the package, it looks like a fun, flirty brief suitable for undressing after a date—but maybe not the best for a workout. I have several pair of underwear made by Candyman that I love, due to their tongue and cheek approach to underwear, and that often allow tantalizing peaks of skin to show, as this one does.
I usually like to put review underwear through their paces by wearing all day at work, and then to a workout. However, given the polyester material (which I doubted would breathe well) and flirty style, I thought this would be more appropriate for a date (and then I could get my date’s reaction as well). So I put them on in the morning before work and planned to wear them all day through my dinner date that night.
I put them on first thing in the morning. They seemed to fit to size, although with my big butt, I was sticking out a bit at the top (see pics). I went off to my office for work. Things went well for the morning, but I could feel them not breathing well by lunchtime. I’m glad I did not wear them to the gym, as they began to irritate my skin the longer the day went on. By the time I got home, I was ready to take them off, take and shower and change. Unfortunately, my date never got to see them on me, (but he liked the way they looked on the floor).
Candyman does have a good feel for American sizing. I wore a medium and it fit my waist well. There was ample room up front for the plumbing. I could have used a little more material in the back, but if this underwear is more appropriate for a date, perhaps you might want to be cracking out a bit. With the zipper undone, there is a nice peek-a-boo of flesh and this gives you a bit more breathing space in the back. I do wish the zipper was on both sides, as this would give you a bit more flexibility.
I like the cheeky style of Candyman, and this Zipper brief does not disappoint on that front. The flexible metal look is sleek and modern (I can see it going with a sexy Tin Man costume next Halloween), and the peek a boo zipper is neat touch. Incidentally, the zipper is plastic and did not pinch my skin once despite playing with it many times while I wore it. The waist sizing was dead on, and though I could have used a bit more material in the butt area, if the goal is have someone take them off you ASAP, then that effects works.
I’m not a bit fan of this polyester blend, as it does not breathe well, and becomes sticky after a whole day. However, if you wear this just for an evening date, it would be fine. I wish they could find a way to produce the shiny fabric in a material that does not trap in moisture—that truly would be futuristic.
I like the current direction in which Candyman in going—many of their new products are wearable all day and make good additions to an underwear collection—while still maintaining their playful side. I would put the Futuristic Zipper Brief in the category of “datewear”—something to wear for less than four hours and are cute enough for your date to want to help you out of them.
Pros:
- Cheeky style
- Highlight assets well
- Sizing is accurate
Cons:
- Does not breath well after 4 hours of wearing
- Slightly skimpy in the amount of the material for the buttocks
Ratings:
- Daily Fit: 7
- Sizing: 9
- Construction/Materials: 8
- Styling: 10

Today’s Brief Distraction is from Underwear Nation! Each month they have a great pair they send out their members and this month it’s the Cocksox Ahoy Brief or Trunk. Today we feature the brief. We will bring you the trunk this week. We hop you enjoy!
The Underwear of the Month voting is in and the winner is the Geovanny Mesh Brief. This was a very close race, prob one of the closest we have had in the history of Underwear of the Month. When we have an underwear of the month, I usually have a feeling on which will win and this was an upset! I think it’s great for the underdog to win sometimes and Geovanny did just that. I say that because I wasn’t sure if Geovanny was a brand most knew but I guess you guys did and voted to make it our Underwear of the Month!
Here are why some of you voted for the Mesh Brief
- It’s fun and tastefully flirty
- Way too sexxxy
- The Geovanny mesh brief will keep my ‘vitals’ cool as the torrid summer heat presents itself. I especially like the crescent pouch. The highcut legs will allow ease of movement in everyday wear. – JohnD
- It has a nice design simple not complex would not worrying about much staying in right place but also seems breathable and has a masculine sex appeal. – Benjamin M.
- Nice colours, great material – Mesh.
- Nothing better than underwear that gives enough of a view to tease but doesn’t reveal everything and black is always a good color
Now go check out this pair at the Geovanny Underwear site. It’s available in white and black for $24.99. While there check out the new site! Lastly, see the unedited picture below!
Today’s Brief Distraction features an up and coming model. This is Justin Coale! He’s a relatively new model on the scene and you may seen his pics on Facebook. I got the chance to talk to him the other night and after talking to him, you will see a lot more of him soon! We hope to work with him as well soon!
It’s been a while since we selected a jock for our Underwear of the Week. This week we selected the Papi Stretch Jock to be our underwear of the week. Jocks should be fun and functional. The Stretch Jock comes in two different color packs. That’s right we said packs because they are sold in 2 packs! So you will get to double your value. The colors available are Blue/Black or Blue/Red. The waist band has the corresponding color as an accent.
Papi makes great jocks. I have some of the three pack jocks they have on the market and they are some of my favorites. These live up to the Papi tradition and if you are a jock fan you will definitely put these in your collection.
Reasons this pair is our Underwear of the week:
- Super comfortable jocks design
- Sold in a 2 Pack
- Made out of a 95% Cotton 5% Spandex
- Available in two different color combinations
- Smaller then traditional jock – 1 1/4 inch waistband
Find these at Jockstrap Central for $20.00 per two pack. This post contains affiliate links for Jockstrap Central.

The 2013 Stretch Jocks have arrived at Jockstrap Central. They are not only stylish but so comfortable you won’t want to wear anything else. Luckily Papi knew you’d feel that way so they bundled them in twos so you’d have one to wear while the other is in the wash. New for 2013 are two new bundles – either a black and a blue jock combo or a red and a blue jock combo.
Here’s the details: The Pouch is contoured and constructed of two panels with a center seam. It’s almost all cotton with a hint of spandex not only for a better fit but to provide an extra touch of soft comfort. The 1 1/4 inch comfort waistband is the perfect blend of sturdiness and stretch with a high thread-count weave forming a stylish stripe running around the waistband with a front centered Papi logo. The 3/4 inch soft elastic legstraps provide the support to keep things in place yet stretchy enough to prevent the cutting in you find in many other jocks. Once again, this is a 2 pack. You get two stylish and comfortable Papi jockstraps for one great price.” Shop at: http://www.jockstrapcentral.com |

When the review package arrived from Tim, I was a bit excited because my life has recently changed dramatically (and for the better) with the birth of my first child. I haven’t had time to really think about underwear outside of browsing the new Spring offerings from my favorite brands. When I opened the package and out came the Candyman 9692 Brief also referred to as the “Zip Around Brief” (on Freshpair). My first reaction in a word, was “Wow!” The brief is definitely on the more risque side, and since my only other pair from this brand is the mostly basic, Candyman Jockstrap 9656 I wasn’t prepared for something I’d consider out of my comfort zone. The 9692 Brief comes in White and Black and is available anywhere Candyman is sold online.
Since I knew I wouldn’t be able to get a full day’s wear out of these briefs, I decided to wear them from post-evening workout until my bed time on a night in which I’d be running around the house packing for a vacation to Florida. Given the overall construction of the brief (I will delve into specifics shortly) I was surprised how well it stood up over the 4-5 hours I had them on, while running up and down our stairs to pack. While generally this brief is probably better for “a night of fun” I would venture to guess that you could wear it all day, but as I’ll discuss shortly, you probably won’t want to.
As has been the case with Candyman so far, the 9692 Brief fits fairly true to size to perhaps just slightly larger (American Sizing). My pair was an XL (34-36) and they seem to fit my 36 inch waist comfortably. Since Candyman doesn’t have any gaps in their size chart (L=32-34, XL= 34-36) you may want to size down if you’ve got one of the matching waist measurements, e.g. If you’re a 34 inch waist, get a Large.
The brief itself is constructed with 96% Nylon and 4% spandex. The majority of the brief features what Candyman refers to as a “Modern Mesh” which given the materials used, are fairly elastic and move with you. Unlike most mesh briefs that are micromesh, the mesh pattern on these briefs is large, almost emulating a typical lace design. As if the mesh weren’t enough to put this in the “Erotic” category, twin zippers on both the front fly and covering the crack of the wearer’s butt on the rear send this into another dimension in terms of erotic underwear design. Both zippers are made up of a gold (on the black brief) or silver (on the white) leaf like textiles, and are fully functional. The zippers platform also gives the brief its structure, providing a surprisingly roomy pouch for your boys.
On the whole I like the brief for what it is, and I dislike the brief for what it isn’t. I like the attempt I see with this brief from Candyman. The designed with this brief wanted to adequately marry their fairly standard fare of highly erotic pieces with their less standard, but still readily available practical pieces. It is a goal that I think the designer achieved with the 9692 Brief, which is what makes the pair likable for what it is. There really seems to be a “catch” to this success though, and that is even though they found a way to make a sexy and somewhat practical product, the brief has too many elements that make it unwearable as daily wear, and I just simply can’t get over that. While I stated that this brief had a “surprisingly roomy” pouch, that doesn’t mean I was satisfied. Given the design itself, I knew the pouch was going to be cramped and it still is, it was just less cramped than I expected it to be once I got it on.
Personally this is an extremely difficult review for me to write. While I definitely am an adventurous underwear fanatic (no problem wearing skimpy thongs, briefs, etc) this particular pair is hard to really compare to any of the other “risque” underwear for a couple of reasons. The first is that my mind has a hard time getting over underwear with large sturdy zippers as a part of their design because I typically associate designs with those elements as conducive to an erotic BDSM lifestyle with which I know nor feel nothing. The second issue is perhaps more relevant to the review itself-which is the fact that until now, there really isn’t a pair of underwear I own that I can’t wear all day, including all of the more risque styles in my drawer. I want a brief to be wearable and this one isn’t for daily wear purposes at least.
Overall, while I personally wouldn’t buy the Candyman 9692 Brief for myself, that does not mean it isn’t a good or even great pair of underwear.
Pros:
- The color options. I love gold on black and silver on white.
- Nice marriage of overtly erotic design, combined with solid construction of a basic look (the brief design).
Cons:
- Zippers in both front and back can get awkwardly placed while sitting or walking.
- Overall design isn’t quite as inclusive (to a broader customer base) as the “marriage” I talk about above might want it to be.

2(X)ist has just released their new prints! The one pictured is one of my favorites I have seen from them and this collection. That pair is the Bandana print. The waistband is solid but the main body is like a bandana. It comes in both red or blue. They also have a no-show brief and no-show trunk. To me it’s a really great pattern they are using on both. Its so much fun.
The other prints in the line are Southwest, Zig-Zag and Square. The best thing about this line is if you don’t like a print like the Bandana, the Southwest and Zig-Zag both have a patterned waistband rather and solid color fabric. So you get a touch of print without going to crazy.
If you want to go the other way check out the square pattern which is fun print where the pattern is made out of squares. It looks really cool up close. It’s definitely a different print that you haven’t seen in underwear before.
Like the Bandana line each one has a No-Show Brief and No-Show Trunk. The brief retails for $18 and trunk is $24
We hope you are having a great week and this is another great picture from Eric Battershell fitography. It features Michael Rocco wearing the strip brief in blue. We hope you enjoy!

When I received this pair to review, I saw the word “jockstrap” on the packaging and we super eager to try this on. So you can imagine my surprise when I opened it up and found this pair inside. I held it up and looked at it and wondered how it was supposed to go on. This jockstrap has extra straps on both sides. Candyman always comes up with eye catching designs and patterns, and this pair definitely fits the bill. It is available in an array of colors: fuschia, green, orange, yellow, and black.
My day was pretty ordinary. Other than getting up to stretch my legs a couple of times and walk around the office, I pretty much sat at my desk all day. All work and no play, as the saying goes. Which is probably a good thing. This jockstrap is more about fashion than function, and I feel would be more suitable for a spicing up a special night than an intense workout at the gym.
I received it in a medium. Some of the items that Candyman offers can be on the small side, but this actually fit me well. I have a 31” waist, and then waistband sat comfortably on hips.
The striped pattern on the jockstrap is quite fun. Definitely draws the eye to the goods. And the material feels great. A few of the extra straps were pretty loose, which made me wonder how this jockstrap would fit on a guy with a larger or smaller backside. To get the full effect of how hot this jockstrap is, everything needs to be pulled nice and tight.
Pros
- hot colors
- eye catching pattern
Cons
- extra straps can be a little loose

It’s Tuesday and that mean’s it’s Baskit $12 Tuesday. The pair this week is the Light Trunk. But this is not the only pair on sale this week. Check out the specials page for even more undies at a great price.
The pair I get to review is the Candyman Gold Brief 9694. Before I tried these on, I enjoyed feeling the soft, shiny, satin-like gold fabric with a nice contrasting black waistband and piping around the legs and pouch. The waistband is about 1.5 inches in width with the Candyman name woven within the band in large lettering. The pouch appeared to be held onto the body of the brief by two snaps which I immediately snapped apart to find that my theory held true. The snaps fit directly below the waistband, but above about an inch and a half of fabric meant to be part of the actual brief body. This is my first pair of Candyman briefs and I enjoyed being able to try them.
I went about my normal and routine day while wearing this par. I drove an hour to work, taught a college class, went shopping to several stores, taught another college class, and drove an hour back home to relax. It was a very busy day filled with lots of movement and activity. The pair fit well, stayed put, and was comfortable during my daily routine. This pair would hold up well during normal, routine activity. I would not recommend them for a day of serious activity or exercise.
I received a size large in this brief. This size should cover a 36-38 pant size. Sizing was true to size, but most websites I have seen recommend sizing up with Candyman. However, I found this pair to be accurate and well-fitting.
I liked the shiny gold fabric (97%Nylon, 3%Elastane) as it was stretchy and conforming to the body. The pouch was adequate and should accommodate any size guy without any major issues. The pull snaps were sturdy and added a nice touch to the pair. I really liked the snap off pouch as this could be an extremely erotic pair of underwear for that special night. I only had one dislike about the pair and that was the way the pair actually fit near the snaps. The fabric bunched up and created an odd, sharp angle directly beside the snap. If an additional snap was placed below the other snap, it would alleviate this problem.
Overall, this was a nice pair of underwear and I felt sexy and sexual while wearing them. Candyman seems to be a company that creates underwear to specifically cater to the fun and exciting side of a man. Also, it seems the designs allow for creativity in a guy and how he can express himself other than with just basic underwear. It is, after all, that we have a sexy part of our personality that we keep from the world and only show to our most intimate of companions.
Pros
- Style
- Fabric
Cons
- SLIGHT fit issue with the odd angle created by fabric bunching near snap
