When you think of Mesh underwear, Clever is on of those companies that comes to the top of your mind. They have been doing mesh underwear for as long as I can remember. They have been a blog favorite as well. It seems some of you guys can’t get enough of mesh underwear!

I know we have some fans of Clever underwear out there. So you will be pleased to know that the entire new collection was released this week. It’s making it’s way to retailers as we speak. So if you don’t see it just yet at your favorite store that sells Clever, What can you expect from this new collection?
Yes there is more mesh! For those of you who can’t get enough of the sheer fabric, Clever has continued to make more fun mesh styles. It’s become one of the things they are more known for. One of the newest is the Geweldig Boxer which mixes two colors of mesh. A solid body with a stripe on the side.
Long Boxers are here. Over the last year I would say long boxers are really coming into play in the underwear world. These are like the pair Soccer Boxer pictured, down to the knees. Perfect for sports or other activities where you’re on the go.
New swimwear, yes, even in fall they release swimwear. They have the classic flag designs that have done so well but they also have some new swimwear like the new Hanauma Swimsuit. These are great for a winter cruise or trip to Mexico
Lastly are thongs. I would say that Clever is one of the most consistent makers of thongs on the market. Every year they come out with new ones and this year is no different. One of the newest is the Stanford Sporty thong.

I have ventured back into the 9 to 5 world. It’s been since 2011 when I was last there and had to actually be at work and work a 40 hour week. I hear many of you going “awe poor you, welcome to my life”, but I have had my own business and now venturing back in for find something full time. So I decided to put attention into my underwear this week. Being up early, 5:30 am (I have to be at work at 7:30), I wanted to wear my best underwear for the first week.
So, I started to follow my own advice I have been giving for years, “Underwear should be an addition to your personality under your clothes.” This means every day this week I wore something that I LOVE. Each pair fits me great and makes me feel awesome. I was trying to remember everything I wore this week but I swear one day I can’t recall what I wore. But here are a few pairs I wore this week.
It is a good mix of underwear. As you know briefs are my go to style. But I do enjoy a trunk (even though I wrote I Hate Boxer Briefs) occasionally. Styles There is one style I will not be wearing to work, that is a thong. Not because I”m anti-thong but I prefer to wear them on a date or something with romantic intentions are happening later.

When we mention g-string, what is the first thing that comes to mind? I know my mind always goes to stripper. It is also on the super sexy side of underwear, I mean it’s just a pouch and two stings, there’s not much to it! I hardly hear many guys talk about them. They will talk about thongs but rarely mention them. Our own Kyle was one of the first guys I heard talk about how much he loves them!
Andrew Christian has released the Almost Naked G-String. As mentioned above it’s a pouch and two strings. It will leave very little to the imagination, and really isn’t that the point of wearing it? You want to show off and enjoy! This pair has the Almost Naked hang free pouch so you have a natural fit. It makes me wonder could the pull off the pouch on something this small? But something tells me they did.
It is also available in 4 colors Black, Lime, Blue and Red. But you better hurry and get it if you want it. It’s a limited edition pair they have created. So they will go FAST. I have to say I love Cody Deal. Not because he’s a hot guy with a great body. It’s he’s always showing off some gear, whether it be a runners, swimwear or underwear. He’s a big gear fan and I really want to interview him. If any one know’s him let me know! I’m still trying to get in touch! SupaWear is not a company scared of color. Jason really likes to experiment and have fun with the undies he releases. He’s always pulling colors not considered super masculine and he makes them masculine. This time the collection contains pink. It has a lighter, muted pink and also a brighter, bold pink.
I got a chance to see this line in Vegas real quick. This is one pair that I think you need to see in person. The way the color pops is amazing! There are a few pairs I have seen where you need to actually feel and see them, once you do you will be sold! You may think that Gregg Homme is all about erotic wear. You would be wrong! They are not always about thongs and mesh. They have a line called Gentleman. I had very high hopes for this pair because I love Gregg Homme. I can’t think of any pairs I have ever disliked.
The Gentleman line is Gregg Homme’s take on a basic line. But, unlike most basics, this is still made with some of the fabric Gregg Homme is famous for. I always ask in Vegas about how they find this fabric but they never tell me, it’s a trade secret. The fabric for the Gentleman is a poly spandex with micro modal air jet fabric. What does that mean to you? It won’t fit like cotton basics. It has a very nice feel!
I will say this pair was an interesting change from the other pairs of Gregg Homme. This is one that would very much fit the gym factor. Meaning I could wear it to the gym and bet I wouldn’t get looks. The other pairs I have are the Voyeur Brief, A Net g-string and Jock! I give them props for doing a classic line. The fit was pretty good. My only concern when I first put on was that the pouch was a little snug. It wasn’t tight or binding but just snug. More on that in a sec!
I wore these to the first day of my contract job. Now, I haven’t worked an 8 hour day since over a year ago and it was in an office where I got to wear shorts and t shirts. This is a more Biz casual environment. I was up way early and put them on under my khakis. My worry about the pouch was rarely noticed through out the day. Granted I wish it had a bit bigger pouch though. The fabric allowed me to breath and felt great through the day. This was the most active I have been with a pair, shy of the previous review I did, where I ran through the airport.
The pair I received is an XL. Which fit me very well, its been the size I wear most in Gregg Homme. I’m back to a 38 in waist and working my way back down. So it wasn’t too snug or too lose. If you check the size chart for them you shouldn’t have an issue at all.

aussieBum has release the new range called BreakOUT. You maybe asking why is it called that? Well the back is cut out and is a boxer jock! But that’s not all, the front has an enhancing foam cup. Don’t worry this cup is completely removable. I know we have plenty of readers who this will drive crazy.

Swimwear season in the US is over but that’s not stopping companies for making really great swimwear. WildmanT has always made great swimwear that enhances and shows off what you have! Are you a fan of fetish? If so we a great line for you. Timoteo’s Cellblock13 just released the Asylum collection. Fetishwear is it’s own section of underwear. Either you like it or you don’t. There is very little middle ground. Cellblock13, I would say, is a little more on the hard core end of fetishwear. It is made for some serious playtime or to be seen at a bar night.
The new line has a Chap Pant, Lace Up Jock Trunk, Lace Up Jock Brief. Unlike the other lines they have released this one has only two colors, red/black and Navy/Yellow. This line is made out of nylon/spandex material. When I first saw it I thought it could be swimwear because of the fabric. My personal favorite is the Navy/Yellow over the Red/Black.
When I met with Timoteo in Vegas he told me about this line and said it would be shipping very soon. He was not kidding, the line is out on their site and retailers. He went into detail about the line and pointed out the back. The back is reinforced and won’t roll, bunch up or any other combination. It will stay in place and look great. There is nothing worse than getting a pair and have to constantly readjust it. Especially a pair like the chap, that maybe worn out without anything over it!
Timoteo really knows how to make amazing fetishwear. The line for Cellblock13 never seems to amaze me. Just when I think I have seen it all they do something like this, where they play with fabric.
