How much do I love Eric Tuner? Well not only is he a super hot model (picture above). But he’s an amazing guy with a great sense of humor. I got a chance to catch up with him in Vegas and it was great to see him. Picture by Pat Lee
When I first discovered my love of underwear, I was a colors guy. Meaning I loved solid bright colors. I wore reds, blues, yellows and any other color I could find. It was the 80’s and colors were in fashion with men’s underwear. Then the 90’s came and the color went out of underwear for a while. Slowly over that decade and through the 2000’s, color crept back into the men’s underwear.
In the 2000/2010’s colors really came back. We got colors we didn’t really see in previous years. Those are pink, purple, pastel, and any other color designers could come up with in their designs. I would say in the last 2-3 years prints have come on strong. I”m not talking stripes or geometric. But custom made prints like from Discover (above). They have taken inspiration from their Latin American heritage.
They aren’t the only ones using great prints. Other brands such as Obviously and Diesel have embraced amazing prints. And more and more companies are starting to think outside the solid underwear box. Which is awesome!
You maybe asking why do I like these prints so much. I’m a firm believer that underwear should reflect your personality as much as your clothes do. If you read this blog then you already hold this to be truth! So when I let go of my “I must wear only solids/stripes” my eyes opened to some amazing underwear.
I am finding these prints are letting my personality. I am looking at underwear I would have passed over before for being too brash, gaudy or crazy. The joys of loving underwear, for me, is the ability to be open to new things (even boxer briefs). I think we need to challenge ourselves and step outside our color box and enjoy something we normally wouldn’t. You may just discover you love it!
Yesterday we brought the you new DT Jocks that Jockstrap Central has in stock. Today we share some of the pics they took for the campaign. If you like them go check them out at the Jockstrap Central Site

Underwear companies are no longer just selling underwear. Many are branching out into other areas. The most obvious is swimwear, however more are going into activewear and loungewear. The latest brand to enter activewear is 2(X)ist. I got a chance to see this in Vegas back in February!
In February Jason Scarlotti gave me a run through on the new collection. I will say I was impressed with the collection. I looked back at my notes and said “We must cover this.” The collection has what you would expect, shorts, pants, shirts and hoodies. But, it has the 2(X)ist stylish spin. It is a brand extension that really is a good one!
I got a chance to talk to Jason this week about the collection. It was just released and has been flying off the shelf. He said if you go shop you may have issues finding your size because it has been super popular. Which is a great problem to have when you create a new collection.
My favorites are the Branded Fleece Hoodie, Terry Sweat Pant and Terry Short. The Branded fleece hoodie has 2(X)ist written across the chest in bright blue letters and outlined in day glow yellow. Made in just the traditional heather sweat material. The second is the Terry Sweat Pant, 2(X)ist has updated this classic with a more flattering fit and silhouette. Available in light heather and black heather. The last pair I like is the Terry Short. Its similar to the sweat pants but made into a short. Made in Mineral Teal Heather, Light Heather and Black Heather.
So if you have been looking for some new workout wear or even use it to lounge around the house, check this new line out. I think it’s super fun. Find them at the 2(X)ist website.
Jockstrap Central carried DT a good number of years ago and despite being a best seller, the company was near impossible to deal with so they dropped them. However, when their phone rang a short while ago and it was DT contacting us letting them know that the company was sold and under new management, they quickly put in a new order for their latest designs. Not only has the company improved, but so has the craftsmanship of their underwear. For obvious reasons, Jockstrap Central is relaunching with the new DT Essentials jockstrap and jock brief. Here’s the details.![]()
DT ESSENTIALS JOCKSTRAP:![]()
Sure, the Essentials Jock looks great but it’s also all about comfort. Not only is it made with a super-soft brushed mostly cotton fabric with a hint of spandex for stretch, shape retention and fit but it’s got a very generous, non-constricting contoured pouch design. Even better is this is a low-rise jock so it’s perfect worn under all the popular low-rise jeans. The waistband is soft and plushed and the leg straps have a comfortable relaxed stretch.![]()
Comfort aside, this is one good looking jock with a subtle retro feel and includes a single white stitched line down the center of the pouch matching the single stripe running horizontal through the waistband. Another awesome feature is the three quarter inch wide elastics that start at the waistband, edging the pouch and end up as the straps of the jock. Pretty clever and striking.![]()
DT ESSENTIALS SPORT JOCK BRIEF:![]()
The Essentials Sports Jock Brief has a comfortable fit, an athletic feel and a secret! Not only is it made with a super-soft brushed mostly cotton fabric with a hint of spandex for stretch, shape retention and fit but it’s got a special bulge lifting pocket built into the pouch to ensure your boys are displayed to the maximus. A contoured pouch edged with contrasting white double stitching and a center single stitching all do their job of highlighting every curve of what’s you’ve got.![]()
Don’t think that the front get’s all the attention, it’s a “jock” brief after all! The back would normally be a traditional brief back except this has got a very hot hole cut out of it and edged with another round of contrasting stitching in white perfectly framing your ass. Can you say bulls eye!![]()
Both new designs come in three color variations: army, black or grey and they’re also very reasonably priced at only $17.95 for the jock and $21.95 for the jock brief!”

We love Curbwear. They have some of the funnest photography in mens’ underwear. The personal favorite has been the subway (tube) shoot from last year!
Why is it that when we are told something is forbidden we want it more? It’s human nature right? This Fetish Friday post is inspired by the one and only Gregg Homme brand featuring a desirable jockstrap from the Forbidden Collection. Fetish underwear incorporates a lot of ideas that are typically not present in your everyday pair of underwear. For instance, mesh, leather, and sheer material are typically saved for the more playful underwear that leaves very little to the imagination.
Gregg Homme managed to bring a mesh and leather like combination to a beautiful jockstrap. What I love about this specific pair of fetish wear is that it also has a zipper in the front pouch. Imagine walking into the bedroom with your lover, they unzip your pants to find this sexy pair of underwear waiting underneath. Things get heated up when they see black leather like material, mesh exposing the skin, and a zipper covering the front pouch, inviting them to continue unzipping their present. The pouch on this pair is designed with play in mind. The mesh sides gives you a look into what you are packing while the zipper gives a fun and creative way to expose yourself to your lover. The sex appeal continues in the back with a beautiful jock thong design, circling and showcasing your butt for your admirer.
Fetish underwear is about stepping out of the box with basic and comfortable designs. These pairs are not meant to be worn under a suit all day at the office. Instead, they are meant to display and showcase who you are while teasing and enticing who you are trying to impress. The next time you are planning a late night rendezvous, stop by Gregg Homme and check out this Forbidden collection. It is also available in a brief and boxer brief, with plenty of mesh and leather like for whatever style you prefer on your body.
I love Baskit! Here is their latest quick and I mean quick video from the most current shoot ” As we were doing a fast photo shoot a few weeks ago (16 items in less than 4 hours) our models took a quick break for a dip in the pool on the location. But of course, they didn’t want to get their Baskit wet. ;)”
FuriousFotog has become one of my favorite photogs lately. This is his newsest shoot with Zac Smith! He did a series with him. He’s on the road and we should see a lot more with him soon!
Troy Wise sent us a great series of pics called “Brighton Beach” – http://1drv.ms/Zgikcj We love the pics he sends us to share!
I love an info graphic. This year Garçon Model did a survey and created this great graphic about some of the trends happening in the men’s underwear market. I think this confirms some things we have always thought of in undies!
We had a reader send us a pic! I am so happy when we have readers who send in their pics! This Scott and here is some info about him: well, I am definitely not a model. I am just your average Joe (Scott) from Kansas City. I spend my days working miracles in the information tech field. I’ll travel at the drop of a hat and have. My record is 36 hours between deciding to take a trip and ending up on a beach in Mazatlan. I didn’t take your “swim brief challenge” this year, because most of the time I already wear swim briefs. I’ve never been a big fan of board shorts. Briefs are definitely more comfortable, plus they give a better tan line.
Were you a fan of Catch of the Day? If you were they released a new range in the line. The previous pair was created when aussieBum, Sean Ashby, wanted to see a model in a pair of mesh underwear. This sounds like something I would do! After seeing the pair on the model they decided to make the line! So not every pair is planned our in a release schedule, some just happen!
Here is what aussieBum says bout the line: Leave as little or as much to the imagination as you want with Catch of the Day! This innovative underwear comes in a brief, bikini, hipster and jock style with a variety of waistband colours and net-fabric combinations. Be todays Catch!
Which style do you want? Well they range from $22-$31. So go check out the new line.
Modus Vivendi releases a new line. In this collection I love the Pink (or rose as it’s listed) brief. There is something about pink undies for me. Here is the write up on the line:
The Union line by Modus Vivendi is the final part of your favourite Greek brand’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
It also marks the close of the Dreamland campaign, launched earlier this year, which has transported us to a world of dreams, heroes and idols.
This last part of the Dreamland campaign is all about togetherness, a celebration of the spirit: “together we are one”.
The four images that portray this idea are portraits of men together, from the beginning of civilization to the present day. They evoke a world of freedom, of equal opportunities, a world where everyone has an equal right to love and to live with the person he chooses.
The new Union line consists of classic cut briefs, Brazil cut briefs, tank tops, sweat shorts and track vests, all made from outstanding quality Italian fabrics and manufactured with perfect precision.
Modus Vivendi even suggests that the couples among us choose matching or contrasting combinations: briefs in sky blue or pink, in a variety of complementary cuts, tank tops with a bold ‘2’ printed on the chest or back…
For details of the extensive range of items available and their full specifications, go to: http://e-modusvivendi.com/gbu0-catshow/mc_UnionLine.html
I wore my Blue Collar Underwear today and love them a lot! I want you guys to go check them out! They have a few new styles and some great new pics!
Have you ever wanted to design your own pair of underwear? Well Shrine Boxers is giving you that chance! They launched a contest to have you guys design the perfect pair. After the final six are picked it then gets voted on! The winner then goes into production! How cool is that? I will admit I would love to design a pair of undies and have guys across the world wear them!
I got a chance to talk to Rob, the owner, at Shine Boxers yesterday and here is what he said about the contest and brand “Shrine Boxers has created the ultimate underwear that keep you cool and comfortable in every situation. We are getting ready for our upcoming Kickstarter launch by holding our first Underwear Design Challenge. Almost every other underwear brands have boring branding on their waistbands, not Shrine Boxers. Our waistbands feature bold styling designed and voted into production by you. Now the only decision you have to make in the morning is: Boxers or Boxer-Briefs?”
He also told me on the call he read my “I hate boxer briefs” post and said that their boxer briefs were going to change my mind. I told him to BRING IT! I met him back in February in Vegas at the UNB Meet and Greet we have a Magic. The first thing I noticed is he’s taller than me, which is rare being 6’4″, and has a really cool back story. We will bring you that soon!
But in the mean time go over and design a pair of underwear. You can do it on the site or download an illustrator or Photoshop file and enter! You can design as much as you like so go have fun! The address for the contest is http://try.shrineboxers.com/challenge/
Jor is back with a really fun video. This video is call “In the Shower” and it’s just that! But its not what you think! Check out the video and enjoy!
We love the work that Jerrad Matthew does at Underwear Nation! This month they feature JOR. The pair in the picture is the JOR Color jockstrap. If you were following me on Twitter you would have seen last night they did an one hour sale!

This week the Baskit $12 Tuesday is not a pair of underwear but the Light Yoga T-shirt. Each week they run a great pair for just $12! Make sure you check out the specials page for more sales!
Well before I get into that question I have to say look at the picture above? Hell yeah it’s sexy. Gone are the days where it’s men in robes and PJ’s. Now men’s loungewear has entered a new era. That era is all about comfort, cuts and style!
In the past when I thought of loungewear it always had a negative connotation of old polyester and stiff cotton. They were never really comfortable. They were fashion over form! Now loungewear should be comfortable and you should be able to wear it on a Sunday all day and never have to change. More brands are making loungewear in fabrics like Modal and Pima cotton. These are both super soft and amazing against the skin. The Gregg Homme Modalounge is the perfect example of the new fabrics. Super stylish and comfy in one!
New loungewear is flattering to men. Remember those PJ’s you used to see on TV? They were huge and didn’t show a guys body. N2N Bodywear has changed the old rules of loungewear with the collection called “Lounge” It’s loose but also shows off a guy! If you really want to show off the Lounge Singlet is for you. Made out of a semi sheer fabric its not as tight fitting as a regular singlet, ut the sex appeal is off the charts. You will be showing off all you have!
As you can see again in the pics above the style has come back in to men’s loungewear. This includes colors. They still have the traditional light blue, but they also have tan, grey, maroon and more. As more guys start wearing this around the house, they want it in different colors so if someone comes over they won’t go “you still in your pi’s?” Its super fun!
We are going to start covering loungewear a lot more! We will have some reviews coming up and hope you will share with brands you love!
Singlets have come on strong in the market but runners are taking a second place in the gear market. They have always been around for runners and biking, but now they are becoming popular with the rest of the guys out there. Over the last few years many companies have started making them. But, they have always come at a cost. Most are around $50 and others as high as $100.
Enter Cheapundies.com to the runner market. Last month they did swimwear and now they bring the same pricing philosophy to the work dog runners. They have created three different colors. Blue/red, blue/yellow and Purple/yellow. The best thing is the price. They are retailing on the site for $17.99. That’s right under $20 bucks.
If these are anything like their undies, they will be very well made. The undies I got reminded me of brand name undies. I still don’t know how they do the prices they do. But if you love runners or want to try them, give Cheapundies.com brand a try!

I loved these swim suits from AwareSOHO. Its one from about two years ago but when I saw it today I had to run it. Our Brief Distractions are not about always the new stuff but amazing pics and swimwear from the past too!
One of my personal favorite underwear brands is N2N Bodywear. They currently hold the title of one of my fave pairs of briefs that I own. I was vey excited to be presented with the chance to review their new jockstrap from the California Dreamin’ collection. With all of the new jockstraps on the market, it is nice to keep involved with the traditional style we are all used to. The jockstrap has a great small front pouch that is colorful with greens, yellows, red, and purples. I love seeing that a company can incorporate so much color into such a small space and make it look fantastic. The only fabric on this pair is a small section covering the front and they did it justice. Apart from the color scheme, the fabric is so comfortable. The minute I touched it I knew I would no problem with comfort in the front. The straps of the jockstrap are basic black, contrasting the pouch nicely.
As usual, I take chances with my underwear and wear them for a whole workday. I find it to be quite the challenge and a good test of true love with a pair. When I first slipped it on, I noticed that it hugged me quite tighter than most jocks I have worn recently. The waistband was a rougher material than several other pairs I am used to which I was worried may cause some discomfort. There was nothing major that I noticed throughout the day but the waistband did rub rough at various actions throughout the day. Such as pulling the front down to go to the bathroom. Again, this is small but noticeable. The straps that wrap around the butt did not have the same feeling to me as the waistband. They fit tight and added support which I could feel from the moment I slid them on. As N2N Bodywear says “this jock feels AMAZING under your jeans.” They did not lie! It felt AMAZING! I loved the feeling all day long. It is important to note that the slight discomfort with the waistband would not keep me from wearing this jock again.
I wear a medium and this pair fits true to size. I will say that it felt like it ran on the smaller of the medium side than the larger medium side. I could tell a difference when sliding them on and off but that would not make me buy a larger size. Although I felt it tighter in these cases, I did not think the front pouch was too small and I had enough room and comfort all day. I still believe the medium is accurate.
Thanks again N2N Bodywear for another great pair!
Pros:
- Soft, comfortable front pouch
- Pop of color
- Good, back jock support
Cons: –
- Rough waistband
- Tighter fit might concern people with sizing issues

Pikante has released their new Fall/Winter 2014 Collection. Over the last few year Pikante has gone to the wild side! Not saying this is a bad thing. Letting your wild side out is something you have to do every so often! The theme for this year is metallics, mesh and pouch enhancing (well more show off than enhancing).
I really like this collection because it’s super fun. Pikante is not one of those companies to make the same things over and over. They have a few staples but most are new designs, styles and fabrics. My favorite from this collection is the Amadeus Boxer in gray (Main pic above). Just something super sexy to me about it.
I would like to think that this line would be worn all the time and not as a fetish pair. I mean I’d love to see some metallics worn under a suit, khakis or uniform. Make the day better with some super fun underwear! If this is too Tame for you they have pairs that your business will fit in and show off totally, that pair is the Castro Brief. I’m not sure they would be great work pairs but I could see them for a date night.
I just wanted to inform you guys on the new line is out! To check out the line go to GDD World and see every pair in this collection. We will bring you more on specific pairs soon but enjoy some of the lifestyle pics of the brand
