Gregg Homme Camo CollectionAre you a veteran, active military, a hunter, or just a fan of camo? If so Gregg Homme has a new collection for you of camo. The Camo collection offers you seven selections. These are chaps, muscle t-shirt, regular t-shirt, boxer brief, pouch (g-string), bikini brief, and thong. Gregg Homme is a luxury brand known for their quality and great fabrics, so you’ll pay a bit more for their items.

The camo collection features Gregg Homme’s newest Italian mesh fabric. First we’re going to cover some of the items teaming up with faux leather. The first item we’ll look at is chaps. The chaps are the only item that has the faux leather as the feature fabric. Then they are accented with a strip of mesh camo down the outside of the legs. These have a lacing closure at the back along with the classic Gregg Homme embossed patch logo in front. The muscle t-shirt and regular t-shirt use the faux leather for accenting around the armholes and neckline. The last item that adds the faux leather into the mix is the boxer briefs. It uses the leather to accent the leg openings and highlighting the pouch. The pouch is a black knit fabric, so will keep the family jewels concealed.

The pouch, bikini brief, and thong are made out of just the mesh camo fabric. These all feature the classic Gregg Homme embossed patch logo at the front center. With this being a mesh collection, there is sheerness to it. The camo print does do what camo is meant to do and does help some with concealment of what is underneath. This is the type of mesh I like, since it doesn’t tell the whole story.

For me camo brings back memories of my childhood pretending to be in the military. You know being on special forces going on secret missions. Did you do the same thing? If so maybe you should bring back those memories even more with some the items from Camo Collection. Go ahead get that camo on and treat yourself to some new covert operations.

why-are-we-doingWe have been debating doing sponsored posts for a while. We finally came up with an idea that would be good for brands and our readers. Our idea is to promote sales that brands and retailers have on our blog. This doesn’t mean we won’t be doing out Sales Briefs on big holidays. Our Black Friday/Cyber Monday are ones people look forward to all the time. Other holidays such as 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day and more.

How can you tell it’s a sponsored post?

  • Before any text starts it will say sponsored post
  • They will run at 10 AM slot. This may change, if it does this page will be updated.
  • The posts will be tagged “Sponsored Posts”

What is a sponsored post?

  • Posts that were paid for by a brand or retailer
  • It can be content UNB creates or the brand.
  • The goal is for the post to drive traffic and sales for the sponsor

Why Did you do sponsored posts?

  • We needed ways to monetize the site more then we were doing.
  • I felt this was the best way to do it and keep our objectivity.
  • UNB will still remain independent and have our own opinions. And keep sharing them
  • I also believe that an ad for a sale is something you guys won’t mind seeing more often.
  • Our current advertisers get free spaces while other brands will pay for the space.

Our content won’t change from what you expect from UNB. Just know many of our 10 AM post will be sponsored. They will say so! Plus, they will be for sales that we know you guys will love as well. So hopefully this will be a Win-Win-Win. A win for you guys to get great undies, A win for us to monetize the site more and a win for brands who will get more sales!

The CX01BD was furnished by Cocksox for review.

Rating: 10/10

  • Daily Fit: 10/10
  • Sizing: 10/10
  • Construction: 10/10
  • Styling: 10/10
  • Daily Performance: 10/10

Pros:  Great fabric, incredible pouch, fun colors and did I say great pouch?

Cons: The bulge may be too showy for some guys, that’s about all I can see as a down side.

Recommendation: This is one of my favorite briefs of all time. I can’t recommend it enough. I think all guys need one or two of these in their underwear drawer. The support given by Cocksox is one of my favorite ever. They know how to make underwear without any straps or instructions to put on. They make a solid pouch that fits guys of all sizes. I say this is a must own pair!

It’s been a while since we had some Cocksox to review. They sent us over about 10 pairs that you will see in reviews soon. It will be split between myself, Beau Briefs and Salvatore. Cocksox being one of my favorite brands, I was really excited to get some of the pairs from the last year to try out. The CB01BD is one I have loved the color

The CB01BD is one I have loved the color combinations. It’s the CX01 brief cut but with contrasting trim. I received the Coral blue pair. Which is a blue on blue pair. But any of the colors would be amazing. The Vivid and Nightfall are two that are bright and fun. If you want a classic color, try the Carbon black.  It makes me want all the colors!

Knowing Cocksox like I do, I had to wear these to work. The incredible pouch is something I was looking forward too. I slid on the pair and felt instantly comfortable and at ease. The pouch has been one of my favorites for years. It fits me so well, it’s like it was designed for me. As the day went on I forgot I was wearing the pair. It covered and supported everything.

The fabric is 92% Supplex® 8% Lycra®. It is the perfect fabric for Cocksox. It breathes throughout the day. I never felt stifled. It conforms to every inch of my body and gives the best support. At the end of the day, the pouch is just as supportive as the beginning of the day.

The sizing of Cocksox is pretty much spot on with their sizing chart. You can almost be guaranteed that it will fit. The fabric has some give in case you buy smaller you won’t feel squashed or constrained. I have some a size smaller, that I wear on occasion, that fit good. I wouldn’t recommend doing that but, in my case, if you gain some weight you won’t have to get new undies.

If you’re looking for an amazing pouch and great fabric these are for you. They are stylish and fun. Made to the Cocksox standards!

aussieBum is back with a new range of sports performance undies called Flashr. The name may sound risque but the undies can be worn to the gym! Performance underwear is becoming big business in the world of underwear. Some are made with function over form. We’ve all seen those. If you want a little more form over function this line is for you.

The line consists of a brief and a jock. I have noticed in more sports oriented lines aB is making more jocks and less hipsters. I prefer working out, when I do, in briefs rather than boxer briefs. This is what aB has to say about the new Flashr line:

Stand out of the crowd with aussieBum’s new FlashR undies. These super soft cotton elastane undies come in brilliant optical white with an oversize waistband in blue or black. Flatlock stitching gives the support and durabality you expect, with a sports brief and jock cut giving ultimate freedom of movement. Get them now!

Both the brief and jock have oversized waistband. Which appears to be about 2 inches, give or take. This is also where the colors are located. Each pair in the line is a white body and the waistband color, the writing and stripes, are either white or blue.

The fabric is a 90% Cotton, 10% Elastane blend. Making it comfortable to wear and form fitting. Also, the white will make it easy to wear to the gym. We know many guys out there prefer to wear something more classic to the gym.

Make sure, if you’re an active guy, go to aussieBum and see the Flashr line. It could be in your gym bag for all your workouts.

Sponsored Post:

Let’s face it underwear should be a lot of fun. One way to make underwear fun is prints. One company has come on the market with some fun prints. That company is dotwear. Founded by a pair of brothers who wanted to make unique underwear. Something different than what was on the market.

Dotwear believes that underwear gives you confidence as well. “Dotwear boxers will leave you feeling confident in whatever situation you happen to find your pants down.” This is something we support at UNB every day. How could you not have fun in a pair of Milk and Cookie Boxer briefs. Called Cookie.wear. Or a pair of Bluetooth.wear boxer briefs?

The attention to detail that goes into making each pair of dotwear boxers will not go unnoticed – you can feel and see the difference. Each pair is $28.00 and you get free shipping on orders $50 or more. So why not get two pairs!  Shop at the Dotwear website.

1429-diablo

Gregg Homme is no stranger to Fetishwear. In years past they have used mesh, animal print, leather like, rubber like and actual leather in their collections. This year is no different. The fetish collection for this collection is the Diablo. Diablo is a mix of animal print and studs. That’s right, we’re not talking the guy in the undies, but actual metal studs on the undies.

You may have noticed I said animal print. But, looking at the picture above, it doesn’t look like animal print. The print is a subtle print that can be seen in the light. It’s a black on black print that many may not notice right off as an animal print. They have done this effect before and it’s perfect for the guy who has a bit of a wild side but doesn’t always want to show it.

Mix the print with the studs. Studs have really be part of the leather world for a while. They occasionally make their way into men’s underwear, especially more fetish underwear like Gregg Homme. “Paired with silver pointy studs along the front pouch and faux leather trims,  you will stand out.” The studs, I wouldn’t necessarily wear under work clothes. I guess you could but they could cause some strange bulges and such. It’s more of a “at home” or night out.

The Diablo is the line that has shirts as well as underwear. The styles available are Diablo Crop Top, Jock, T-Shirt, Boxer Briefs, Thong, Briefs and Tank Top. Each of them has the same print and studs fashioned to it in some way. I’m glad that Gregg Homme keeps the fetish side in their collections. Fetishwear can be uncomfortable after a while. This is not the case with Gregg Homme. This line is made to be worn our and comfortable for a night of dancing. As well, as a night in with someone or some people who are special. No Judgments here!

5283_grape_1Love Clever and don’t want to wait till February for a new collection? You are in luck they just dropped a new mini-collection this past week. They were sneaky in the release, I wasn’t aware it was in the works. The new collection features one thong, new boxer briefs and briefs. As you would expect they have the bright colors and prints you would expect from Clever Moda.

For a small collection, they did a good job in mixing solids, stripes, and prints. It’s more of an addition to the current collection than a totally new collection. One thing I really love about Clever is they create the same pairs in briefs and boxer briefs. Nothing worse than seeing a pair you wish they made in the other style.

All of these styles can be found at Clevermoda.us Clever Collection 2016-3 Page.

Here is the new collection:

modus-vivendi-underwear-fisherman-02Modus Vivendi has always had a really interesting design sense. They have always said they were influenced by their Greek Heritage. We wanted to ask them some questions about some of the more iconic lines they have released over the years.

Interview with Christos Bibitsos

Tell me something about how your Greek heritage has influenced your designs over the last few years?

The truth is that we are very much in touch with our ancient culture, as Greeks. That has been true since the company began. Ancient Greek culture prized the male body highly. You can see it in sculpture, ancient athleticism and Greek art. It’s one of the main guides in every project we do.

modus-vivendi-underwear-fisherman-03

Which of the many Modus Vivendi lines has been most memorable for you, most creative. ‘The Fisherman’, maybe?

There are many interesting designs, really. The most special, the most idiosyncratic? In our Original Collection, I think. But all our projects are all unique. That is what distinguishes us from other brands.

The photographic work seems styled to each collection. Is that a result of collaboration with the photographer on each individual campaign? Or do you allow the photographers freedom to achieve their own creative vision?

First of all, I think it’s wonderful that photographers across the globe have been inspired by our intentions and have given so much of their talent, taking each shoot in a definite direction, while still respecting the basic idea, the basic feel that inspired the design of the line. Every photographer needs his freedom, and this adds to the diversity of our campaigns to date.

mv-retro-greece-innkeeper-01

Of all the photoshoots, which has been your favourite?

Ah, every one is special, for its own reasons. One particular campaign that represented Modus Vivendi’s style especially well was the retrospective of traditional Greek occupations, ‘Retro Greece’. Winegrower, woodcutter, innkeeper, stable hand, those gave us some great images.

Which are some of the most memorable pieces of underwear from your collections. The leather jock with the chains for example… any others?

I’ve said it many times, but each item in a collection has its own story, an inspiration a moment. But if I had to mention one, the Sumo Brief, or maybe the Converter Boxer. They are so unique. They can be transformed, changed, and this is perhaps a unique aspect of Modus Vivendi.

mv-retro-greece-harvester

Some of the latest collections have a more mainstream design aesthetic. Are we going to see more designs that could be considered more ‘fashion’, like The Fisherman?

Your favourite Fisherman is one of my favourites too. Sometimes a look like that can be the basis of an entire collection, as it was for the Leather Look collection. Modus Vivendi is a fashion forward brand and probably always will be. It’s about diversity, and its addressed to people who appreciate that, whether or not they’re on the same wavelength. Over time, our customers have become more insistent about our adding some more mainstream lines to our collections. This way we can address men’s everyday needs in quality underwear. First and foremost, we are a Greek brand. We manufacture exclusively in Greece, using predominantly Greek raw materials. We have some of the best cotton in the world here. If we use it well, we can create some of the best classic cotton underwear there is.

add-headingWe are showcasing some of our amazing readers. This post we ask Jayinca about his love of underwear. Here is his story on how he fell in love with underwear and some of his favorites currently.

Tell our readers about you:

If you saw me walking down the street I would seem unremarkable.  Just your average married 30-something business professional going about his daily business. And in part, that is who I am… in part. But just below the surface, literally, lies a stark contrast to the dress slacks and button-up shirt you see on the outside. Below the surface where one might expect to find your run-of-the-mill black/gray/white boxer brief that you got at Costco in a 3-pack for $20 you might find a ruby red Joe Snyder thong, or perhaps a funky designer Olaf Benz thong.

I’m a straight red blooded American man and I love men’s underwear. I love football, the outdoors and drinking beer as much as the next guy, but I also love underwear. And I’m perfectly ok with that.

When did you first discover underwear?

My discovery of underwear came at a time of great self-exploration.  I was in my late 20’s, single, freshly graduated from college with a job with good benefits. On paper, I was off to a great start to this thing called life. Checking all the important life checkboxes. But something was missing. It was during this time that I really put some thought into what I wanted from life besides a college degree and a job to pay the bills. What are my passions besides pizza and football? This question led me on a wild journey exploring things like kink, relationship dynamics, gender norms and open-mindedness.

My exploration into underwear began during this time period suddenly and without reason.  I was sitting on the couch watching TV with my laptop on my lap and suddenly I was struck with the curiosity of what it would feel like to wear thong underwear. So, I Googled “male thong underwear” and the rest is history.  I was introduced via Google to the many men’s underwear sites online and to all the designer brands that make them. I was completely enthralled.  My eyes were glued to the male models on my screen for hours as I browsed countless sites and the underwear within them.

The guys in the pictures looked awesome! I thought to myself, ‘their butts look amazing! Just as good as women do in thong underwear or swimwear.’ This was a concept I had to get comfortable with.  Is it ok for a straight guy to say that? Am I really straight? Over time I answered these questions definitely. Of course, it’s ok to say that and yes, I’m really straight. I do admire the male form almost as much as the female form. The big kicker is that there is no sexual aspect of my admiration. Then I wondered why I let a pair of underwear make me question my own sexuality? That’s just ridiculous, and so an exploration into society imposed gender norms occurred and so on.

What was the first pair of good underwear you bought? What made you buy that pair?

I knew I was looking for a thong. I wanted to experience one. I believe it was on skiviez.com that I found my first thong (actually it was a g-string). The brand was Gigo and it had a wide dark metallic blue waist that wrapped all the way around.  It subtly delved into the classic v thong shape in the back and became a string that attached to the pouch.

How did this first pair influence your journey into the world of men’s underwear?

I had been tracking my package all day and I knew it had been delivered and that it would be there when I got home. Would it be in my mailbox or would it be on my doorstep? What if it’s on the doorstep and my roommates get home before me? What if it says skiviez.com on the label? These questions started running through my mind and the thought of being discovered brought feelings of shame and embarrassment.

I got home and there it was, right on my doorstep and to my relief my roommates weren’t home yet.  I ran into my bedroom like a giddy child sprinting into the living room to see what Santa had left in the night. I ripped open the package and there it was. Wow, it was so small! Such a tiny amount of fabric were my initial thoughts. There was only one thing left to do; I stripped off my clothes, including the black boxer briefs I had on and put on my first thong (g-string. I was intensely excited, a) about finally getting to have this experience, b) it was just so damn naughty! And that was exciting to me. To clash against what society said I should be wearing under my clothes and to be ok with it. It’s my secret anyways and it’s nearly in plain sight, and finally c) the sensation of the string splitting my cheeks was hot. I looked in the mirror with the stupidest looking smile I think I’ve ever worn and was very happy with how the underwear looked on me. I had always been told by girls that I had a nice butt and the underwear just accentuated that.

One thing to note here: body image issues.  I have them. While I will admit I’m not fat, I most definitely look nothing like the male models who I had been staring at in the week prior to my special delivery. So feeling like I looked good was huge.

What are your current favorite styles? What style do you wear most?

My current favorite styles are the thong of course, followed by bikini’s and briefs. I guess I’m a minimalist when it comes to underwear. For one, I feel sexy in them and secondly, I find them more comfortable. I don’t like the feeling of the fabric from boxer briefs rubbing against the inside thigh of my pant leg. It makes things feel claustrophobic.

What are some of your favorite pairs in your underwear drawer?

My favorites are an Olaf Benz thong. I don’t know the particular item name, but here is a photo:

img_8788
And my other all-time favorite is my Turquois Joe Snyder thong:

fullsizerender
Are you open to friends or partners about your love of underwear? If you have a partner do they encourage your love of underwear?
My friends do not know about my underwear preferences. I just don’t want to deal with them having to get over that fact and really, we never talk about what kind of underwear we wear so it’s not a difficult subject to avoid. Think football team type of guys.  Those are my friends. Oddly.

However, my wife loves me in thongs. In fact, she nearly demands that I wear them.  Most recently, she took advantage of a sale on deadgoodundies.com and quite significantly added to my collection of briefs.  She then covertly got rid of all my boxer briefs (except the ones I wear to the gym).  Her enjoying me in sexy underwear really reinforces the love I have for them myself because now wearing them takes on a whole new dynamic.  Not only am I wearing sexy underwear for me, but for my wife as well.  All her comments on my sexy bum and the sweet swats she gives me on the butt feel amazing.

Has wearing great underwear boosted your confidence?
Wearing sexy underwear has definitely boosted my confidence.  I feel a sexy swagger that I don’t feel otherwise.  Knowing that I am one of the few men who get to enjoy what wearing thong underwear feels like makes me feel grateful truthfully but the sexy under-secret is thrilling as well. I walk down the halls at work truly a man on a mission when I can feel that extra boost of sexy confidence.

mv-transparent-line-conseptual-photos-withlogo-1With a new, super sexy line of dark mesh underwear, Modus Vivendi continues with its presentation of the many new lines for its fall/winter 2016-17 collection. The Transparent Line is a combination of strength and sensuality. Self-possessed and subtly erotic, the new briefs, boxers, tanks and tees come in three colourways of black, dark red or blue with black mesh panels. Jocks are presented in uniform colour with matching mesh waistbands. The designs sculpt the hips, buttocks and shoulders, carving strong lines that meet with concealing linings and pouches, an exercise in revelation and the balance of power.

The campaign for the line was created in Leicester, England. Talented photographer and fine artist Gavin Harrison was inspired by the moody impact of the line to build a Dark Circus themed photo shoot, with the ultra-masculine Matthew Blades and Perrie Hooper as his male protagonists. The studio was transformed into an eerie circus of mystery and atmosphere. Seductive and very masculine, the images showcase the daring new designs from Modus Vivendi at their best.

1425-push-up-2-0Gregg Homme is back with a new line of underwear that will help enhance your body. This is the Push Up 2.0 line. When I first saw the line I was impressed with the retro sporty feel. I also noticed the line comes in almost every style which would appeal to everyone. This line is out right now for people to purchase. Gregg Homme makes great underwear that shows off the body well and fits snuggly.

The Push Up 2.0 line features a retro look with a contrast color binding and pipping. The pairs are made with an ultra-fine gauge microfiber fabric. The company says the material will feel like silk against your skin but still give you support and shape. The line comes in briefs, a jock, a thong, or boxer briefs. Every style of this line is able to be worn with or without the padding that would enhance your shape. The jock will also lift you butt to give you a nice shaped booty. These pairs could be worn just about anywhere, but I think would be perfect for a night out to get some attention. All the styles come in three colors: Purple with a black waistband and white piping, red with black waistband and white piping, and black with black waistband and blue and white piping. The pairs all feature the Classic Gregg Homme waistband signature as well.

I really like the retro sporty look of this line. It is stylish and the colors are a perfect pairing together. I also like the fact the padding in the underwear back be taken in and out because there are sometimes you don’t want to be padded or enhanced. The jock isn’t your typical style either, it reminds me of more of a jock-brief which I like because it gives you more coverage. I love the piping is around the crotch to draw your eye in as well.

This is a fun line that is stylish and will help to enhance your body in the right places. The removable padding is a nice addition for the times you are not needing or wanting the extra padding. This line is available now Gregg Homme’s website. The jock is priced at $46, the boxer-briefs at $48, the thong is $37, and the briefs cost $41.

The new collection is out for Gregg Homme! This collection is pretty awesome. But, then again I think most of their collections are amazing. Over the next week or so our guys will be giving you our take on the Fall/Winter collection! The line I will be talking about is the Affair collection.

What is the Affair collection? Well according to Gregg Homme its “our newest retro look with contrast color binding at waist and leg opening to add more personality to your brief.” The contrasting waist and leg trim is a really cool touch.

The fabric is their famous six-way stretch fabric. Meaning, it will conform to you like a second skin. This is the most amazing fabric in underwear today. As you can tell by the pictures of the different pairs. It leaves little to the imagination but the fit is second to none.

The line comes in four different styles. The G-String, Boxer Briefs, Thong and Brief. The brief I would call a bikini. In fact all styles are super skimpy, which is a good thing. Each pair comes in Khaki, blue and black. Each with the matching and alternating trim.

I love this line. First, because it’s a skimpy line. The brief is my favorite in the entire collection. The cut and look is just what I want in a brief. Next, the fabric can’t be beat. It’s used in other lines and just fits and feels amazing. No matter the size in the front or back you the fabric will stretch to fit you. I can attest to the pouch looking small but being able to hold a lot!

Take some time and check out the Affair line. Also, all the other lines at the Gregg Homme Site.

img_4147Hey guys! You’ve seen these posts before. We definitely want to get your help to support UNB! Unlike previous posts, this is to help me directly. Over the last week, I had not one but two computers give up the ghost. What are the odds?

I had a MacBook Pro from 2012 that had been the main computer I used for the site. It has major issues with the video card and the logic board. To get it fixed will be as much as a new computer. No worries, I had a 2011 MacBook Air as a backup. It wasn’t an ideal solution but hey it worked well. That was until it turned off and couldn’t be turned back on. WTH, is what I said but it was more like WTF.

You may not have known it but for several days the site was run off an older iPad. It was a Tim Gunn “Make it work moment.” I have been making it work with an iPad and a Chromebook but its not an ideal situation for running a blog and doing videos.
