Hey guys, I posted on Twitter this weekend to say we need to support other gear guys. I post this because I have seen several guys post about body image. One made a post that said, “I thought I had a good body image, then I went to a gay beach.”

This made my heart sink because we say to wear what makes you feel confident, sexy, and amazing. I am on my journey with my body image, and when I post pics, I cringe, but the comments and encouragement from guys out there have been incredible. It’s not just other guys who are bigger who are saying these compliments; it’s guys who I didn’t think would ever notice my pics—guys with abs and more! It made me feel good to get encouragement from others.

Let’s make a conscious effort to comment and encourage others to continue wearing what they love. It’s a small act that can mean the world to the person posting. We all have our off days, and a kind comment can make a significant difference, my friends.

Not everyone shares my view, and if you don’t like someone’s picture, keep it to yourself. You can mute, unfollow, or block the person so you don’t see their pictures. However, someone putting themselves out there should be celebrated, not criticized. We need a supportive underwear, speedos, spandex, and gear community.

I hope you agree and practice this to build the most amazing community. We have enough in life that sucks; we should support each other in something we all love! It can be as simple as “I love that suit.” To “You look so confident in this!” Let’s keep the world of underwear/gear a happy place where guys want to belong. Keep wearing what you guys love and sharing those pics!
