October 6th is the anniversary of UNB. It’s hard to believe that I have been doing this for 11 years! Back in 2008, I started this journey and figured it would last a few months. You know, share my love of underwear and swim briefs and move on to something else.
It’s been such a fantastic ride over the last 11 years. There have been ups and downs along the way. Like in life, the ups far outweigh the downs. The ups have been getting to know the men’s underwear industry. I have made some fantastic friends who run brands, sell underwear, and read the blog. This is a close community that is very friendly and amazing.
The biggest downside is all the brands that have gone out of business. I go through the blog, sometimes looking for a Throwback Thursday, and remember all the incredible brands that have gone out of business. We have covered thousands of underwear brands.
This year we launched the UNB Store. This is the biggest thing to happen since I began the blog. Some of you may wonder what prompted this addition. I have been asked by brands for years when I was starting my store. As far back as 2010, people were asking about my ambitions. I never really wanted to open a store. Some things changed in my personal and professional life, and I decided to go for it. It was an “offer I couldn’t refuse.”
I do have plans for the stores and look forward to seeing it grow. It’s a rewarding and interesting experience now being on this side. I worked for Erogenos for a few years in the early 2010s and got some inside knowledge on how a store works. If you need undies, check us out!
Where are we going in the future? That’s an excellent question. I have a few things in the works, but nothing I can reveal right now, but if they pay off, they will be amazing. Things are always changing, and new ideas come to me all the time. Some things work, and others do not work.

New XXX H Collection is out from Go Softwear. This is a collection of fun colored mesh, and it is paired with black fabric. There are a few things, but in this post, I’m focusing on the spandex/singlets.
There are two new singlets XXX H Plunge Singlet and the XXX H Singlet. The XXX H Singlet is one made entirely of the mesh. “Leave just enough to the imagination in this newest Fall design by GO SOFTWEAR! The XXX ‘H’ Plunge singlet, part of our provocative HARD CORE Label, is constructed entirely in body-hugging see-through mesh fabric. The XXX H Singlet is a regular cut singlet with mesh around the legs, and on one side, mesh goes all the way up. ORIGINAL BIKE #10 JOCKSTRAPS BY MEYER NOW IN BLUE, SCARLET AND GOLD!
We’ve been bugging Meyer to bring these in for years and our persistence has paid off! It’s the Bike #10 Jockstraps (by Meyer) now in Bike’s original colors: royal-blue, scarlet and gold as well as the original white and black.
The Bike #10 Jockstrap is back but under another brand – it’s the Meyer Original Bike #10 jockstrap.
In case you don’t know, here’s the scoop: Meyer was the licensed distributor for Bike in Europe and dealt with the Bike Factory directly, so when Bike stopped producing their jockstraps, Meyer approached the Bike factory to start producing the original Bike jockstraps for them using the exact same fabric, sizing and specs – the only thing different is the brand name. Size, style, fit, and even the label are identical except where BIKE was is now a MM (for Meyer Marketing).
Seriously, it doesn’t get better than this. This is the classic sports jock that started it all and THE jock to have for all your sports fetish play. It’s the epitome of masculinity with it’s full 3 inch wide waistband, moisture wicking contoured pouch and sturdy leg straps to keep everything in place.

If you have wanted to get some new Candyman, you’re in luck! They just released their newest line for Fall. It’s everything you would expect from Candyman lace, thongs and new costumes! They continue their mixing of masc/fem line
I think Candyman definitely fills a space in men’s underwear. There are a lot of guys who love the mix of the masc/fem. I am one of those guys, thought I don’t own a lot, I do see the draw to these. Other guys I know have loved the preview I gave them.

Although our HUGE-ly popular attention getting McKillop Max Bulge Jockstraps fit most guys, we had a few customers tell us they couldn’t fit their LARGER than life junk in them. So we tasked McKillop to make us a custom jock brief for the really BIG guys. The XXL-Bulge Envy Sport Jock was the answer. Joining the original black and white are two new colors – blue and red.
