Review – C-IN2 Hand Me Down Profile Brief

I love working with Mens Underwear Store. They are a retailer, in the last year,  that we have been working with on many projects. They approached us about doing a review and the pair they furnished was the C-IN2 Hand Me Down Brief. I got the pair and the first thing I noticed was a new package. C-IN2 has created a new package for online retailers. It’s smaller and easier to mail. Which is a good thing on shipping costs.  This may not seem like a sexy thing but its great to know companies are taking shipping and recycling into account for the public.

The pair itself had a burn our type of material, meaning it was sort of see through. But not so see through to make it wild.  The color was the second thing I noticed. I’m not really a fan of brown underwear. It’s just a personal thing with me. I prefer much brighter color underwear. This how ever won’t interfere with my review. The pair itself felt really good. I wore it to work for the day. I was super excited to try these. The fit was better then I expected. I have had plenty of C-IN2 but this one had a fit that lives up to the name Hand Me Down. The distressed cotton felt like it had been a pair of mine for a while. It just felt amazing. This was the first time I had any from this line and won’t be the last time I get some!

During the day the pouch felt great and didn’t constrict or bind.  The brief held it’s shape and felt as good at the end of the day as the beginning. I definitely think this will be good for office days and also active days.

Sizing fit me pretty well in this pair. I think, and I’m still trying to confirm it, that the sizing for C-IN2 has changed over the years. If I remember correctly it was typical sizing for the US, but this pair I received was an XL and fit my 36/38 waist perfect. I have reviewed some other pairs that were Large and they didn’t fit as well.  Large is listed as 34-36 and extra large is 37-39. So make sure you pay attention to the sizing chart when buying your pair.

Things I loved about this pair are quite a few things. The first is the fabric. C-IN2 has done a great job picking this fabric (60% cotton/40% Polyester). The first time I put it on it reminded me of some of my favorites that have that broken in feel. Its one of the few times I have put on new underwear and this has happened. Next is the pouch. Too many times I get a pair of underwear only to have the pouch not fit right, be too small or bind me. This one did none of those things.  The last thing I liked that I didn’t think I would be was the waistband. It was a little thick and rough at first. But after I put it on it felt great and didn’t bind or roll.  Whereas, the only negative of the review was the color of the brief. Which is really minor but it won’t stop me from wearing it.

Pros:

  • Incredible Fabric choice from C-IN2
  • Great contour pouch
  • Comfortable waistband

Cons:

  • Color and that’s just a personal preference

Review – Inter View IV League Brief in Red

The pair of underwear I am reviewing is the Inter View IV League Brief in Red (also available in white).  Before trying these on, I enjoyed the feel of the cotton and spandex fabric as I took in the overall style and construction of the brief.  The fabric was extremely soft and stretchy with two strips of red piping running along the left and right side of the pouch and a small seam holding the pieced pouch together.  The waistband is approximately 2 inches in width with the brand name in bold white lettering woven into a red stripe going around the waist.  The red stripe has white, black, and blue stripes above and below the red one.  This is my first pair of Inter View underwear and I loved being able to try them.

As I put these briefs on for the first time, I felt something odd in the pouch area.  So, being the curious sort, I looked.  Wow!  There is a built in pouch inside the pouch.  Hmmmm…how do I work this?  After a few seconds I had it figured out.  Now, with everything inside this pouch that their website describes as a pouch enhancer I was set to go.  I have to say that the pouch enhancer was a nice surprise and did work as intended as everything was up front and at attention in a nice manner.  The inner pouch is more of a loose pocket than a pouch.  It was comfortable and nice.  I have other enhancing underwear that I do not wear because it rubs my skin and causes chafing.

While wearing this pair of underwear, I went about a normal day of traveling to work nearly an hour from home and being there several hours.  Overall, I spent about ten hours in this pair.  It was a busy day filled with lots of movement and activity.  The pair fit well around the waist without being all tight and nonstretchy.  It was very comfortable all throughout the day.  The leg openings were quite comfortable and stretchy enough to conform and were just right.  The pouch consisting of two pieces of fabric sewn together with a center seam is soft, comfortable, and conforming.  The inner pouch was comfortable all day with zero problem feeling weird or odd while wearing it.  You could wear it without using the inner pouch, as well.  The fabric is 95%Cotton and 5%Spandex and extremely soft and conforming.  I was surprised it was so soft, actually.  I liked that this pair covered the front and rear fully.  This seems to be a reinventing of the basic brief in a new and modern form that I have not seen since the late 90s brought on more and more briefs with no fly.  The crotch area is rather slim, which I love, where the pouch and rear meet and fits tight to the body.  I believe this pair would hold up well during normal and active use.
I received a size medium in this brief.  This size should cover around 34 pant size.  Sizing was probably not true to size as I am a true large in underwear.  This is the first time I have ever said to size down in underwear.  LOL!  Seriously, check their sizing chart carefully.
I loved the soft fabric as it was stretchy and conforming to the body.  The pouch and inner was perfect and should accommodate any guy without any major issues.  The leg openings were comfortable and larger than normal, it seems.  The way the crotch area felt between my legs was nice and fit well making sure everything was in place and not bunching up like your typical brief.  The waistband was nice and created a visual interest with the red, white, black, and blue stripes.

 

Overall, this was an excellent pair of underwear and I felt sexy comfortable while wearing them.  Inter View has hit on a great product and everyone should try them.  Check out their website as they have a sale going on.

If you’re looking for HOT with not much left to the imagination then Slick It Up is just for you. I have known about this brand for quite a few years. They haven’t ever hit the mainstream but I think that’s because it’s not something you could wear every day. Like I mentioned above it’s made to be seen or worn in a bar or club. They make hoods, pants and body suits in spandex that looks like leather and rubber.  Some of their gear is:

  • The Cobra ($34.00 on left) a thong hybrid. It’s a half thong with a pouch.
  • The Gladiator Trunk ($42.99 in the Middle) is a large mesh brief that is totally see through.
  • And lastly  is the Scropio suit ($134.00 on right) that is cut shot in the arms and legs and mesh on the side.

Modus Vivendi has marched to their own drummer since their inception. They have never been afraid to make underwear that feature their Greek Heritage. Modus Vivendi has done some really fashion forward underwear in their day and they will continue to do so. Their fetish wear is in the Fisherman line, which is a line that is about fun and has a leather/rubber look. Their fetish wear is a mix of shirts, and underwear.

  • Latex bodywear 11282_black (79.80 Euros on left) is a mix of a jock and shirt making a fun body suit.
  • Jocks as you see are always big in fetish and the latex jockstrap 11211_black (26.60 Euros in Center) is one that has a super wide waistband.
  • Lastly we have the latex bottomless boxer 11221-1_black (30.90 Euros on left) is a boxer with a jock back. This has become one of the newest styles that the fetish wear makers are embracing.

Manstore may not be a brand you are familiar with, we have covered them a few times on UNB. They are a European based company and all their stuff is skimpy and fun. The only bad thing about that is their site is in, I believe, German. Which makes it a bit hard to read more about them, but sites like Dead Good Undies also carry the line. Everytime I have seen ManStore they are super skimpy and fun cuts. Here are some styles they make.

  • Wrestler (63.90 Euros on left) is a deep cut singlet with a racer back, singlets are big this year.
  • Spider string (29.90 Euros in middle) is a thong with a jock thong back with a few extra straps.
  • Click Pants (39.90 Euros on right) is a rubber like trunk with a snap front.

Fetishwear is becoming more accepted in the underwear world. Timoteo has created a new line that focuses just on fetish wear, and that line is Cellblock13. It has been around for about three years and has come on strong in the fetish world. Cellblock13, to me, has a big of a sports vibe with the singlets and football inspired pairs. Some of their gear includes:

  • Renegade Defender Pant Jock  ($68.00 on left) is a hybrid of a pant and jock. The football inspired pants has the front and open back. Available in three colors
  • Grappler Jock – Fetish line isn’t complete with out a jock ($22.00 in middle). It’s a traditional jock cut with a 3 inch signature waistband and stretch mesh pouch.
  • Ginglet Jock – Singlets have always been big in the fetish world. ($50.00 on right). Cellblock13 has taken the singlet and made fun with the open back.

Review – Cocksox Backstage Waistband Brief CX03MD

I was super excited to try the new Backstage line from Cocksox. The previous pairs from them I have reviewed have always been amazing. If I had a list of the top 10 underwear companies, Cocksox would definitely be in the top 5. The way they make their underwear to fit is just amazing. The new Backstage line takes the classic design of Cocksox but makes it with a modal material. So putting these two together made me really happy.

I got the Waistband brief to review. This is one of my favorite cuts from them. When I opened the package I saw that the pair I was reviewing was the yellow pair. I will admit I love bright colored underwear. Right when I slid these on I knew it was going to be a great pair. Much like the review yesterday Gabe posted, I wondered if they could have the support of Cocksox with the super soft modal material. They did, I don’t know how they did it but this pair felt really amazing. Each time they come out with a new line they out do themselves!

I wore this pair to work for the day. It felt so good to wear. The waistband brief has been one of my favorite cuts from Cocksox. The new branded black waistband offsets the colors and makes a great addition. The pair really held its shape all day. The pouch which I had worried about still lived up to the Cocksox tradition. That is if you don’t want your goods on display don’t wear these. It pushes everything up and out. Which I know many readers like but I wouldn’t recommend this for a job interview or family reunion. As I worked I noticed these really breathed and felt so good. I didn’t want to take them off, but I did at the end of the day

There was something I did with this pair that I don’t do with too many pairs. I wore them twice before I wrote the review. I washed them and thought why not wear them one more time. The second time was as good as the first. I have to hand it to Cocksox for always improving a great product. They don’t come out with new lines every few months. They focus on the core and release things over time. Each time the score a home run.

The sizing in these are pretty much spot on with the sizing chart. In the past I would say buy a size down, yeah you heard me a size down not up! However, in the last few years they have rectified that and now you can pretty much get the size listed.

Pros:

  • Made out of amazing material
  • Great fit with a new waistband
  • AMAZING Cocksox pouch
  • Material breathes through out the day

Cons:

  • More colors needed only in Black, Grey and Yellow
  • It May show off more then you want – which may not be a problem for many of you

Style Brief – New Colors for the C-IN2 Filthy Line

E.Blast-(layout)C-IN2 has refreshed their Filthy line with brand new colors. This has been one of their more popular lines in recent years. Each pair is different because the filthification process. This is accomplished by  hand rubbing each pair with dye to give them a unique look on the textured fabric.

You can’t Wear that! Don’t let anyone tell you what underwear to wear

Happy National Underwear Day! Every year FreshPair.com brings us this yearly celebration of all things underwear. Founded on August 5th, 2003 each year they do events to raise awareness of underwear. We fully support this day and hope you will celebrate with us!

This past year FreshPair.com has been focusing on confidence. They launched the Confidence Project, where men and women tell their stories of underwear and confidence. They range from cancer survivors to regular people. It’s great to see this in the underwear arena. This is what we want to focus on today!

Has anyone ever said to you, “Oh you don’t need to wear that?” “Oh that is so out of style” “only (insert gay slut) wear that type of underwear?” “Those just look stupid”  Have these things then affected your underwear purchasing or daily wear?

Having run this blog for almost 5 years I have heard every underwear choice a there is. They include thongs, men’s lace, bikinis, boxers and everything in between. Many guys who read this blog are in the closet with their love of underwear. When I am out at a party and guys find out that I write an underwear blog many will feel safe to confess their love of underwear.  You can see their eyes light up and talk about underwear. It’s like they are confessing a big dark secret for the first time.

We have created UNB as a safe place for guys, both straight and gay, to come together and talk about underwear. Because ALL guys need great underwear. It has been a long-standing mantra here at UNB that underwear should be fun and make you feel great.

You should wear whatever underwear you feel best in and to hell with what anyone else thinks.  How do we go about this? First, we need to not listen to society saying what makes a guy sexy. Underwear is a personal statement about who we are and what we like.  Its up to us to feel sexy and explore that part of ourselves.  So don’t wear underwear that the “general public” thinks you should wear.

Second, we shouldn’t judge anyone else underwear preference. I know many of you out there don’t understand men’s lace underwear. But there are a big group of guys who love this area of underwear. I will admit I have tried lace briefs from MalePower and they fit amazing. Who knew I would like lace? Let’s be open and supportive to every underwear lover. Just because you show support doesn’t mean you have to wear that style.

Third, Don’t let friends/family shame you into wearing something else. My personal favorite is bikinis. I have had friends who find out I wear them go “aren’t they uncomfortable?” “those don’t look good on a guy” and the list goes on. We need to ignore them because they aren’t wearing the underwear we are!  Over the years I have had family members make fun of me and question my underwear love. I felt great in them and ignored their comments. Why wear something we are going to hate to conform to others and when you think about it, are they really going to know what underwear you are wearing?

Fourth, if you feel sexy in it don’t let body issues get in the way. This one I have heard so many times on the blog. I’m too fat/thin, not endowed, my butt is too big/small and the list goes on to wear (insert style).  How many of us are actually underwear models? I bet more then 85% of people who read this blog couldn’t get a job as an underwear model. Remember the models are part of the marketing, all of us aspire to look like the model in our underwear but very few of us actually do.  I used to weight 300 pounds, at 6’4” I was big but not huge. Today I’m down 75 pounds and want to go down 25 more pounds. Even at that size I still wore my bikinis. It made me still feel sexy to wear my beloved bikinis.  Guys on each size of too big or too thin have this issue. My advice is to wear what you love and own it no matter what you think your issue is!

Lastly, lets all not be so shy about sharing your underwear love. Over the last five years more and more guys say they love great underwear. It’s not something taboo being relegated to the back pages of magazines any more. Let’s be confident about our underwear choices and be shamed when others find out about that love. So when a friend comes over and see’s your laundry and says something negative about your undies say “have you ever tried them?” and start a conversation. I have found the more guys that actually try great underwear will keep buying them and change their preferences and underwear drawer. To do this comment on this and other underwear blogs, participate in our social media, email us, and talk to us! We love talking underwear and all you have to do is reach out and we will answer back!

I will get off my soap box now and hope you guys will go out and wear what you want. Don’t let anyone sway your opinion or make you wear something you don’t like. The stigma around men’s underwear is changing and with National Underwear Day we will keep bringing attention to men’s underwear!  So go out now and enjoy National Underwear Day and wear something great!

We encourage you to show your individuality and confidence by wearing your favorite undies, but in order to break the Guinness World Record we all must adhere to the following guidelines.

  1. Men must be wearing underpants, boxers, boxer briefs or briefs. They cannot be wearing shirts, undershirts, or jock straps.
  2. Women must wear underpants, thongs (not too revealing; allowed on a case-by-case basis), shapewear or boyshorts (that are clearly underwear). Shirts or full coverage bras are also permitted.
  3. All participants can wear socks and shoes.
  4. If it rains, ponchos are not permitted but umbrellas are.

  1. Remember that, although the National Underwear Day event is 18+ years of age, Times Square is a family-friendly location. Be courteous, but have fun. Wear fun undies, but keep in mind revealing items may be offensive to some.
  2. Nudity is strictly prohibited. Although it’s not illegal to go topless in NYC, Times Square is a family-friendly location so we should all be considerate of non-NUD participants, passers-by, and tourists.
  3. National Underwear Day is all about public displays of confidence (#PDC) but public displays of affection, towards any participants, are discouraged.

Underwear Nation to Launch New and Improved Site

Underwear Nation is getting bigger, better, and sexier! The men’s online underwear retail site is scheduled to launch a new and improved website and shopping experience at the beginning of August. While the site will still maintain the “underwear of the month” subscription service as the main focus, the underwear shop will no longer be limited to three new pairs of underwear every month.

Underwear Nation’s new website will feature a monthly ISSUE featuring the same original photography fans have come to know and love, but focused on more products. Visitors will be able to shop the issue and buy any product seen in the monthly photo release. With this, Underwear Nation will begin expanding their product offering to include more cuts of underwear, t-shirts, socks, accessories and more.

“We cannot wait to offer more product to our Citizens,” says co-owner Jerrad Matthew. “Our fans and members have come to trust our expertise in choosing products to feature, and we plan to continue to be as picky as ever. Each product will still be tested for design, quality and fit and will be Underwear Nation approved. We’re just curating a bigger collection now.”

The new website will be spectacularly designed with amazing photography, simple navigation and a clean and more expansive shopping area. Other new features on the site will include the Embassy community and social page, an ambassador sales program, special members only offers, an improved mobile shopping experience and more.

The new site is scheduled to launch in the first week of August.
