c-in2-dip-dye-street-jockThe Underwear of the week this week is the C-IN2 Dip Dye Jockstrap. There is something about this line that is fun. It was just released yesterday and you will be able to find it at some of your favorite retailers. One of my favorite things about this are the Waistbands. They are made to match the colors in the underwear. Note the Green and white, very cool to see a company pay this much attention. C-IN2 refreshes this line seasonally. So these won’t be around long.

Other reasons why this is our underwear of the week

  • Available in Techno Purple, Raging Teal, Blaze Red and Lazurite Blue
  • There’s truly a limited supply.
  • Always on trend, a secret splash of color that you choose to show
  • 100% Cotton
  • Available from the C-IN2 website for $17.00

curbwear-identify-range

Curbwear has released a new range called Identify. It’s one that allows you to identify your…well position. It’s fun but not crazy over the top. If you have friends see it they may not get it at first. The line is a very nice styled and the position is made into the waistband.

The styles that they have are a brief and a jock. The Active (blue), Bottom (red) and Versatile (green). Each one is a different color to tell them apart. The jock is just made in, the appropriate “bottom” label.  Made out of % Cotton and 10% Elastane blend in Europe. The Jocks retails for  £17 and the briefs are £19

I got ta chance to see this video two weeks ago. It was shot on the Tube in London. I asked how did they do it and their response was “people got an eyefull” on their commute! I say watch the video. So watch the video!

nasty-pig-covert-briefMost Nasty Pig gear is totally in your face, but the Covert Brief is subtle…until someone’s face is in your crotch – then your true nature will be revealed: This ultra-soft Modal and spandex infused fabric is printed with small Nasty Pig logos and related phrases like XXX, “First Come First Serve”, “Pig 4 Life” and “Immediate Gratification” (which is what you’ll get as soon as you slip this brief on).

The Covert brief is expertly crafted so it’s nice and snug – fitting like a glove and styled with awesome detailing like contrasting piping and a stunning comfort waistband complete with woven racing stripes, subtle NP logo and repeated embossed “NASTY PIG”.

Whether it’s edgy street wear or luxurious undies to wear to the office, the Covert fits.

I got to see this at Magic in February and knew it would be a hit, but I didn’t remember  how great this line looks. 2(X)ist has really outdone themselves on the Sliq Mesh line. When I go to Magic there is a chance things will change from the samples to the public release. I get the chance to review another Unico Boxer!  It may sound like it’s not the typical for me but Unico makes one of the few boxers I liked. The previous ones were great, so this one I had high hopes as well. This one unlike the rest is made out of a 93% Cotton, 7% Spandex blend.  I loved the design of these too, colorful and fun. Unico is not one company afraid to use colors or patterns. So I put I through it’s paces.

I wore this pair to work on an average day. The day wasn’t too active. It was mainly office work and hanging out with friends after.  Being a day that wasn’t too active I didn’t think it would be much of a challenge for the pair. The one thing that I noticed was the legs opening stretched out a bit. For Unico that was strange, granted it wasn’t very bad but still annoyed me it happened. All the other pairs I have reviewed have really held up great. So for this one to have a few issues was odd to me.  It wasn’t bad but it was just noticeable to be annoying. The materials seemed to be the same as previous pairs, so I’m not sure why this pair did this didn’t hold up.

The sizing for Unico is based on Colombian sizing. Meaning it definitely runs small. I would suggest that you get a size up in whatever size you get. For example if you’re a medium I would suggest getting a Large. The pair I reviewed was an XL, which did fit my 36 waist very well. If you get much larger you may have issues. However, when I was a 40 waist I could still wear my XL. Not sure if that was I loved them so much or if they fit!

As I said I really liked the pattern. They are known for their amazing prints and patterns. Unico really isn’t afraid to step outside the box and use prints you don’t normally see in men’s underwear. The pouch is the second thing I love. Unico makes some of the best pouch underwear on the market. It’s one of the things they are known for, and if you look back on the blog then you will see we have consistently named it as one of the best for pouch design. As for what I didn’t like was the fabric. It lost its shape and made the legs looses their shape. This is the first time I have ever had a pair of Unico do this, so not sure if its just the pair or in general for the cotton/spandex blend.

Pros:

  • Great fun pattern
  • Amazing Unico pouch
  • Matching waistband

Cons:

  • Fabric didn’t fit well
  • Lost shape around lets

Ratings:

  • Daily Fit – 6
  • Sizing – 7
  • Construction/Materials – 5
  • Styling – 8
  • Daily Performance  – 6
  • Overall: 6.2

baskit-america-sport
I’m super excited to review the Baskit America Sport Jock. When i first saw this line in samples at Magic, I knew i had to have a pair. The design and colors just popped to me. I have just reviewed the Simple brief and was impressed with the great fit and classic styling of the pair, so I knew had very high hopes for this pair. Baskit is really getting known for high quality underwear.

Over the last few years Baskit has gone through a transformation. They aren’t doing crazy prints and wild styles. Their models has gone from trendy to more of a from a classic high quality brand. Which in by no means they are boring. Just look at the America line, you can have form and fashion in one and Baskit is doing just that.

The first thing I noticed is that the jockbrief has been made a little different then other jockbriefs I have worn. When i first put it on it fit kind of odd. I’m not saying it fit strange because of quality, but design. The straps were a little lower then I was used too. Also the sides came around farther back. So,  wasn’t sure how well this would fare through out the day. But, after I got it on and adjusted the straps, it fit really well. It’s just getting used to a new design.

I wore the pair to work and errands. I wanted to do something a little different then previous reviews. This is a jockbrief so I wanted to see how it fared. The jockbrief held up great at work. It wasn’t too active. The straps didn’t move and kept in place. Then I had a lot of walking for my errands. After the great performance of the day I wanted to be sure it held up to the active. The pair didn’t miss a beat. It was  the perfect pair to wear on both lazy or active day.

The sizing is pretty standard. One thing that you can count on with Baskit is, if you read their size chart they are pretty spot on and match the sizing. Note that they don’t go above a 36-38 waist. The rest of the sizing is spot on just read the size chart, but this is something you should do for every brand you buy.

Pros:

  • Fun color combinations
  • Great for a active or lazy day
  • Made out of quality materials

Cons:

  • Had a strange fit to being

Ratings:

  • Daily Fit – 9
  • Sizing – 9
  • Construction/Materials – 9
  • Styling – 10
  • Daily Performance – 9
  • Overall: 9.2
