Underwear of the Week

sliq-trunkOur Underwear of the Week this week is one that made people take notice. That pair is the 2(X)ist Sliq Mesh Trunk. It’s not often we hear of a pair released and everyone is talking about it. But the Sliq line did that and I had friends who aren’t into underwear talking about the line.

You maybe asking why is this? I think this was a few reasons:

  • Colors –  2(X)ist used bright colors that make underwear fun
  • Material –  It’s a sports mesh made out of 91% Nylon / 9% Spandex. This gives it plenty of stretch and the mesh is not a super transparent mesh. This is good for those who don’t want to show everything off.
  • Cut – it’s a trunk that has  shorter legs and ultra Low Rise design
  • Pouch – Its form and function with the X-treme contour pouch that gives you great support
  • Fun Factor –  they are just fun! Which is what underwear should be every day. You can show your personality with the colors you buy!

Available in the 6 colors (only 5 shown, black is missing) for $28 from the 2(X)ist website. (contains an affiliate link for 2(X)ist)

skiviez-individual-fit-briefA pouch in underwear is one of the most requested posts on the blog. We are working on a post that goes into detail on each pouch in the next month. But in the mean time we wanted to bring you a pair of briefs that is made to fit a guy who’s avg to x-large. The Skiviez Individual fit brief can be ordered in three different pouch sizes. Speaking from a guy who needs a bigger pouch, its great to see a company pay attention to the fact not all guys are made the same.

It’s not often we get to cover a pair of underwear that has a patent. This pair has U.S. Patent 7,895,676, which covers the pouch selection. The pouches sizes are:

  • X Pouch – For Regular guys
  • Y Pouch – For larger guys
  • Z Pouch – For the largest pouch available

Reasons this pair is our Underwear of the Week

  • Patent pouch design
  • Soft cotton Spandex fabric to better fit your shape
  • Soft padded logo waistband with metallic stripe
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Available in Black or White
  • Retails for $18.00

Find this pair at the Skiviz Site

Junk-underjeans-ombre-trunkThe Underwear of the Week this week is the Junk UnderJeans Ombre Trunk. Junk UnderJeans is one of those companies we think you should know. Our previous reviews have always been stellar but they are a brand you don’t always know. They have been around for a few years and we will give them some coverage at Vegas in two weeks.

The one thing I love about Junk UnderJeans is they make really fun underwear. They started with zippers and fun prints and has evolved into a refined brand that is made out of great colors and prints.

Reasons this pair is our underwear of the week:

  • Contoured pouch provides a noticeable profile boost
  • Made with wrinkle-resistant stretch polyester fabric – 92% Polyester, 8% Spandex
  • Elastic waistband with a Junk Underjeans logo and contrast stitching
  • Available in Lime (pictured) and Marine

Find these at the Men’s Underwear Store site for $24.00

c-in2-dip-dye-street-jockThe Underwear of the week this week is the C-IN2 Dip Dye Jockstrap. There is something about this line that is fun. It was just released yesterday and you will be able to find it at some of your favorite retailers. One of my favorite things about this are the Waistbands. They are made to match the colors in the underwear. Note the Green and white, very cool to see a company pay this much attention. C-IN2 refreshes this line seasonally. So these won’t be around long.

Other reasons why this is our underwear of the week

  • Available in Techno Purple, Raging Teal, Blaze Red and Lazurite Blue
  • There’s truly a limited supply.
  • Always on trend, a secret splash of color that you choose to show

Reasons this pair is our underwear of the week:

  • Brought back by popular demand
  • Made in conjunction with Germany’s #1 condom brand, Billy Boy
  • Available in blue, red and green

Today’s Underwear of the Week is the Big Boys Pants Thong. We continue our trend on finding underwear not either widely known or available in the U.S. Big Boys Pants is the brand we choose this week and they are based in the UK. Known for their really great underwear made out of a super soft modal blend.

Big Boys Pants is a brand I reviewed a few months ago. They are made with a great pouch that is perfect for those who need some extra room in the front. All their styles have the signature Big Boys pouch. Even former staff member Brandon would approve of these!

Reasons this pair is our underwear of the week:

  • Amazing pouch made for all guys. Ergonomically designed

Dietz believes “Our designs are for contemporary men who are self-confident, think out of the box, and take care of themselves.” Dietz has brought their European styling to South America. This is something that definitely shows in their underwear. The fits are more body conscious and form fitting. This styling also extends to bright and fun colors.

  • Non-elastic waistband that reduces appearance of love handles
  • 85% Nylon 15% Elastane material
  • Bright red color

Today’s Underwear of the Week is the 2EROS Black Label Trunk. The Black Label line is very classic in it’s styling. As mentioned above you won’t find bright colors. But don’t let that fool you the fit on these are amazing. As they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This has come to be one of my favorite ranges from 2EROS. The 2EROS site sums it up best “You will love the clean lines and metallic waistband plus featuring the Black Label woven emblem.”

The Black Label line from 2EROS is made form the same material (87% Tactel (Nylon) /13% Elastane) as the Jock Series. However, unlike the Jock Series this one is just available in Black, White and Navy, depending on the pair. This pair will breathe with you and feel amazing all day.

However, they have some great swimwear and underwear.

The Alliance brief comes also features Canada, Brazil and the U.S. We could have easily profiled the US Brief, but the look of the Australian brief is very cool. The whole brief just POPS. Here is why this pair is our Underwear of the Week:

It’s been an amazingly busy week here at UNB. We just finished up our Reader Survey, Shot/published our swimwear guide and are redoing our content. But the blog never stops! We had to move Underwear of the Week to Saturday because of the Swimwear Guide release. This week our Underwear of the Week is the Pistol Pete Power Mesh Brief. It’s a really fun pair to end the week on!

Pistol Pete has always made colorful fun underwear. This pair is no different. It has a color block pattern that Pistol Pete is known for over the past few years. They also have been making super fun undies out of mesh. The prime example of that is anything in the Xpose collection. However, this pair won’t show off everything, like the Xpose, but will tease what you are hiding!

Reasons this pair is our underwear of the week:

  • Great color block pattern
  • Made of a “sports mesh” Poly Cotton Spandex material
  • Material is mesh but won’t show off everything
  • Has three great colors, White, Red and Blue
  • Available for $28.50 at the Pistol Pete website

We hope you enjoy this pair and will check it out. See the additional color combinations below. And be back next Friday when we bring you another underwear of the week. Find Pistol Pete at

Underwear of the week is always a hard decision around UNB. There are so many awesome pairs released that there is no way we can profile each of them.  So when we start out the list can be really long and we go through which would make the best pair. This week we decided on the Gregg Homme Target Trunks.

These are part of the new Target line we profiled a few weeks back. What made this one make the cut well here are a few reasons why!

  • The boxer has a green waistband with a red target scope in the middle. Hence giving it the name Target!
  • Gregg Homme is known for their amazing fabric. The 76% Polyamide and 24% spandex has a liquid touch.
  • The fabric will conform to the curves of your body
  • Available in three colors: Black, Red and Khaki
  • Retails for $37.95 at the Gregg Homme Site

We hope you enjoy the Target Trunk from Gregg Homme. Target is also available in a jock, brief and boxer brief.  Find these and more lines of at the Gregg Homme website. .

When you think of underwear companies, 2(X)ist is one of those that come to mind. They were founded in 1991 and have had continued to make great undies over the years. Each year they create underwear that fans of the brand will find different and fun. Which could mean using great colors, stripes or even an occasional print! This time they have released the Sail Collection. It has a nautical theme in both the styling and color selection. We chose the Sail Sculpted Brief is the Underwear of the Week.

Back in August 2012 I got to meet with Jason Scarlotti about what is new for 2(X)ist. This was one of the pairs he showed me at the time. One of the biggest things that really caught me was the tapered leg openings. The trim on it is smaller at the bottom and goes wider towards the top. It gives it a tapered look that really look good on a guys body.  2(X)ist just didn’t produce a pair they have done before, but paying attention to details that sets them apart. They could just produce their classic briefs in different colors and call it a day. However they know that in this industry you have to keep innovating to stay on top of mind of the underwear buying public.

Color is another area that 2(X)ist really has fun with in their designs. Over the last few years more and more companies are paying attention to what guys want. We don’t want the plain boring undies the three main colors (black, white and grey). 2(X)ist has seen this and is making undies to meet the needs of a color hungry consumer. How are they doing this? With color of course. The Sail line is available in Sour Apple (Green stripe), Pewter Grey (Grey/White stripe), Estate Blue (Blue/White stripe), Lake Blue (Blue stripe) and Brick Red (red striped). The brief has a contour pouch and the stripes going in a diagonal V pattern to show off and accent the pouch. Materials the brief is made out of is a 95% cotton/5% Spandex blend. This allows the pair to breathe and hug the body with out loosing the shape or become constricting throughout the day. Lastly each pair is topped with a matching 2(X)ist logo waistband.

Reasons this pair is our underwear of the week:

  • The tapered leg trim to give a great profile
  • Color stripes that accent a man’s body
  • Logo Waistband
  • Ultra Contour pouch
  • 95% Cotton/5% Spandex blend

Find this pair in all the colors on the 2(X)ist website for $24

X36575-03022 X36575-10001 X36575-42501 X36575-43702 X36575-61602

0001-c-in2_ss13_5026_code_red_f_filthy_mens_underwear_street_jock_strapI have been sick this week so finding the perfect pair for underwear of the week was a task I wasn’t looking forward too. Then out of the blue, well not really but it seems that way, C-IN2 just released their new Filthy collection. Last year we told you about this collection and now it’s back for the second iteration of the line.

The main reason this pair is our underwear of the week is each pair it totally different. You may say, but the filthy pattern is printed on the fabric so they are mass produced. You would be wrong, when in Vegas talking to C-IN2 they told me each piece was hand “filthified”, meaning the black dye on each pair is applied to each pair by hand. So no two are a like. Its really great see an underwear company take a risk and not cut corner.

Second reason is C-IN2 makes great fitting underwear. They have had some of my favorites over the years and have constantly had great fitting underwear. Their sizing is pretty consistent and you can be sure you won’t have too many issues finding the right fit.

Lastly is it’s just fun! Jocks have really come into style in the last few years and while a traditional jock has its place. Sometimes you want something different and creative. Just imagine the looks and questions you would get wearing this pair to the gym. It’s not a pair you would think of as gym wear! But as more and more guys realize that undies are an extension of their personality, we will see different undies in the locker room.

The Filthy Jock is made out of a 97 Cotton; 3 Spandex/Elastane/Lycra blend. It is also available in three colors: Code Red, Moon Indigo and Filthy White. I really love the names C-IN2 uses! This pair is available at the C-IN2 Website for $24.

UN54-13-AThis week’s Underwear of the Week is the N2N Bodywear‘s Signature Jock. It’s been a while since we featured a jockstrap. This one may look familar to you, the Signature line has been around for a few years and has been refreshed with the new color combinations. The new colors are white or navy with red accents. Previous line was white and black.

The Signature line is a very comfortable line. I have owned previous versions of this line and it’s always been one of my favorites they have done. The new colors make it a little more sexy and accent some of your best features. If you get a chance go check out the entire new like and you will see what I am talking about.

N2N really makes underwear for men. They know how to make a great construction and materials. This pair is made out of 90% cotton and 10% spandex blend. This means it will conform to your body and fit great. The waistband is 1 1/4 and inch and made with the signature N2N contour pouch.

This pair is available at the N2N Website for $2o and is available in Navy and white!

This week’s Underwear of the Week is the JOR Paris Boxer. We haven’t run a Boxer Brief in a while, so I thought we needed to find one that’s super fun. The JOR Paris brief has a retro print that is eye catching. The colors are slight off set to give it a fun and funky look, especially with the light blue waistband with the JOR Logo in the center. Cut of the pair is a short trunk so it won’t go too far down you let

The boxer brief is made out of 84% Nylon, 16% Spandex which will hug your body as you mover through out the day. It is constructed with a contour pouch  and seam down the back. It’s just a lot of fun!

jsc-akio-papi-stretch-jock-1It’s been a while since we selected a jock for our Underwear of the Week. This week we selected the Papi Stretch Jock to be our underwear of the week. Jocks should be fun and functional. The Stretch Jock comes in two different color packs. That’s right we said packs because they are sold in 2 packs! So you will get to double your value. The colors available are Blue/Black or Blue/Red. The waist band has the corresponding color as an accent.

Papi makes great jocks. I have some of the three pack jocks they have on the market and they are some of my favorites. These live up to the Papi tradition and if you are a jock fan you will definitely put these in your collection.

  • Super comfortable jocks design

BGPhLTZCYAAOko_If you are following us on Twitter you may have known we were talking about this pair. The pair we chose for underwear of the wee is the Quater Homme Bodywear Hipster. This is a very “back to basic” pair they have just released in a two pack.

Underwear of the week is a celebration of underwear. We think at times simplicity is a good thing. This pair is very simple in design, and available in white, grey and black. The waist and leg bands are in either red, grey or black which contrasts the body color nicely.

Reasons this pair is our Underwear of the week

  • Has a Back to Basics design
  • Simplify of the pair makes it super comfy
  • Made out of staple colors white, black and grey
  • Available in a 2 pack, so you get tow pairs rather then one.

You can find this at the Quater Homme site for around $26.50. You have a choice of two different color combinations; white/grey & Grey/red, and white/black and black/red.

It’s officially spring here and we needed a fun pair that will put you in the mood for summer. So the pair we chose to be the underwear of the week is the Geovanny Mesh Briefs. Geovanny started his underwear career after being a go-go dancer, he wore plenty of underwear in his day and decided put his knowledge of what makes good undies to work and started his own line. He’s now in his second collection and the Mesh Brief is part of that collection.

I had the chance to meet him a few years back  at Magic and he’s always impressed me. He has a great eye for design and his styles are always fun and flattering. Over the last few years he has developed his signature style that is shown in his underwear and swimwear.

The Mesh Brief has the signature Geovanny styling. The material of the pair is a slightly see through mesh. Meaning you can’t see all the business but after you look hard enough you can def tell it’s mesh. The material is more like a sports mesh then sheer nylon mesh. The pair also has the signature Geovanny waistband with the Geovanny brand name on it. The pouch is one he’s known for, he created his own pouch design that sets it apart from other underwear brands. This pair is available in white and Black.

Reasons why this pair is our underwear of the week:

  •   Really fun design
  •   Mesh material that isn’t totally see through
  •   Stylish waistband
  •   Has contrasting piping (white or red)
  •   Pouch design is exclusively from Geovanny

This pair is available at the Geovanny Underwear Website. The brief retails for $24.99 for either color

IS_UND_Billy_Galaxy_1_121207141224Underwear of the week should be very fun. This week the search didn’t take very long to find a great pair. That lucky pair is the aussieBum Billy Galaxy Brief. It is very retro in the print, deigns and colors used. aussieBum has always taken pride in making underwear fun. A prime example of this is on the podcast we did a few years ago with Sean Ashby said they created the Fisherman series because the model had a nice butt. aussieBum is a company that like fun and doesn’t always have to take itself seriously. IS_UND_Billy_Galaxy_2_121207141224

The new Billy line has 9 retro style in each of the pairs. However, the pair we chose is the Billy Galaxy brief. The pair is very retro 80’s! That means the print of 8 bit video characters and the colors used will transport you back to the 70’s! You can see this in the picture to the right. It looks very Space Invaderish.

Reasons this pair is our underwear of the week:

  • Made out of 100% Australian cotton.
  • Material is super light weight
  • Great colorful 70’s inspired print
  • A bikni cut that is a throw back to the 70’s
  • Available for around $17

Find this and all of the 9 different Billy retro inspired underwear at the aussieBum

prldOver the last few years jock straps have come into fashion not just with the guy into sports or fetish wear. Guys from all walks of life are buying them. The proof of this is that in the last two year jocks have exploded onto the scene of men’s underwear. We proclaimed the year of the jock back in 2011 and it’s been going strong ever since.

I love it when there is a company that takes a staple and puts their own spin on it. This is what C-IN2 has done with the new Grip Jock. I saw this one at Magic when I met with them and LOVED it. It’s got a pouch like a regular jock but the sides are cut out (as you see) and the leg straps attach back on the front. It also has the GRIP logo waistband that sets it off perfectly. It’s very eye catching and extremely fun. It makes you wonder who will be bold enough to wear this to the gym. This may not be for everyone but its one that is taking risks and trying something new and we applaud that!

Here is what the C-IN2 website says about the collection: Finally a true high performance moisture transport product that’s made with the comfort of cotton. In past years, high performance textiles (those that you might wear at the gym or during athletic workouts) were made only of polyester fibers. But 100% polyester garments feel 0% nice against the skin. C-IN2 utilizes a special treatment on an inner layer of cotton that, when against the skin, transfers perspiration from the inside to the outside of the garment.

The Grip Jock is only available in grey and is $24.00 at the C-IN2 website.

UnderneathOne important factor for underwear is the week is originality. Meaning, we all want underwear that no one else will have. In this day and age its getting harder and harder to unique. However, with the new Pop Gradient collection each pair is different. This is done through the dying process, which we think is amazing.

I got a chance to meet with C-IN2 at Magic and found out a little about this and some up coming processes. They are really paying attention to detail. They feel its important to do this process and others. It definitely will set them apart from a lot of companies. C-IN2 is stepping up their game and it will be noticeable this year.

Why did we choose this as Underwear of the Week? Well the reason above is a big one. Also, C-IN2 is known for making great quality underwear. The fit and the colors are some of the best I have ever had or tried. They are also creative and always willing to do something new and fun. The prime example of this was the release of the Filthy line. Lastly is the colors available, the line is made in Blue, Red and Yellow gradients. While not a great deal of colors but for the process it’s a good number to produce.

You can find this and several other pairs of the line at the C-IN2 website. The N0-Sho Brief is made out of 100% cotton and is $20. So check these out if you want some unique and fun underwear!

EDITORS NOTE: We should be back up the main computer has been replaced and we should be back full force this week, sorry for the delay in getting the Underwear of the Week up. Next week Underwear of the Month Voting will take place
