Dominic Albano

There’s an intentionality to Dominic Albano’s approach – one that values restraint over excess, storytelling over spectacle. A model turned creative director, designer, and photographer, Albano is the force behind DOMINIC ALBANO COLLECTION, a luxury essentials label in-the-making that favors precision and mood over seasonal churn. Launched in 2023 as an elevated underwear brand, the label now expands into swimwear, the first steps toward a broader yet deliberately paced evolution.

“I originally set out to create an underwear line,” Albano says. “That was the concept, and as the brand evolved, so did the desire to expand. The underwear collection is versatile – sexy, fashionable, and athletic – and the addition of swimwear will follow the same trajectory.” Albano adds, “Each release will follow a deliberate, curated rollout – allowing each piece to make an impression before new edits are introduced.”

Imagery is at the heart of DOMINIC ALBANO COLLECTION, shot on film with a retro aesthetic that evokes nostalgia while capturing queer sensibility. The visuals are steeped in storytelling, reminiscent of queer iconography, where lounging in underwear and swimwear becomes both a statement of confidence and a reflection of desire. This visual language seamlessly carries into the designs themselves, with muted earth tones, classic colors, refined silhouettes and an undeniable sex appeal that defines the collection.

At the heart of the collection lies an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, design, and sustainability. Albano uses Tencel fabric for his underwear, valuing its exceptional softness, durability, and breathability. Similarly, the swim line is fashion-forward and performance-driven, made from recycled materials and designed for a sleek, sculpted fit. The material is chlorine resistant for long lasting durability, with excellent stretch and shape retention to enhance comfort..

In January 2023, underwear and cover model Dominic Albano launched his eponymous underwear line, which consists of three styles and three colors.

After a successful launch, Albano has released two new styles, a more traditional black trunk and thongs in blue and black. This is the collection’s debut for a blue color.

Dominic’s first campaign, shot by photographer Andrew Gleason, dropped in December of 2022 and featured colorful imagery inside of a retro home used as the backdrop.

For the collection’s second campaign, Albano seems to have gone with a vintage look again, rocking pink hair, but this time using more of a simple background to shoot with. Dominic’s social media features Polaroids to coincide with the campaign pictures and has reshot the original pieces to match the new aesthetic.

Dominic has been notoriously private and has kept his page strategically curated, not offering much of his private life to his fans. Despite his mysterious persona, Dominic has never been shy when it comes to showing off, whether it be for PlayGirl, Yummyzine or his own line.

Although he’s the face of his brand, Dominic has seemingly taken a step back from self promotion and has been posting selfie photos taken by his customers, showcasing his brand’s inclusivity.

We are excited about his new collection releasing for summer 2023 and for what else comes next. Check out the images from the shoot here. Photographed by Christopher Garcia.
