Lucas Murnaghan – New Book Breaking the Surface

Photographer Lucas Murnaghan has a new exhibition and book coming out. I hope many of you out there are familiar with Lucas’ work, and we have interviewed him on UNB. If you aren’t, he’s a photographer best known for his underwater photography.

The book is:

Beneath the Surface is Lucas Murnaghan’s photo book debut and is the culmination of two years of underwater exploration.  With nearly 100 pages, the book includes a foreword by Alan Cumming, preface by the author, personal responses by collaborators and 70 curated images.  Each limited edition 11″ x 9″ hardcover Smyth sewn bound book is series marked and signed by the artist.  This special pre-sale offer is limited to the first 100 books of the first edition.

When I bought mine on Sunday there were 19 of the first 100 left. If you want a book, you better get one ASAP. The book is $75 Canadian and is only available at Surf The Greats. Head over before it’s way too late.

What’s Hot in Dallas – Valentine’s Day Edition

The temperature here is cold by Dallas standards.  However, that hasn’t prevented Texans from shopping at the area’s top underwear retailer, Skivvies, in preparation for Valentine’s Day. Below are three of the locals’ top choices in anticipation of love’s favorite holiday.

PrimeMan Hipster Brief

Australian manufacturer Obviously’s newest collection finally incorporates stripes!  Locals are snapping up pairs faster than Godiva chocolate truffles disappear at a Weight Watchers meeting.

Valentine’s Day – Go Classic or Sexy?

It’s becoming one of the biggest underwear holidays of the year. Valentine’s Day is when it’s ok for the world to wear super sexy undies and get away with it. For the majority of people out there its a one-day thing, but for all of us at UNB and reading it’s a 365 Day occurrence. We wear sexy undies whenever the mood strikes us.

What is sexy to you?

Sexy is in the eye of the beholder. One guy may love a Joe Snyder Lace thong, whereas, another may think a classic black brief from CK is super sexy. Which one is right? They both are! I think you should wear whatever you feel sexy in without judgment. UNB is an open place for every guy to express their love of underwear.

What is sexy to your partner?

Valentine’s Day is one day that you take your partner into account as well. Most days, I think readers of UNB, just wear what they want to wear. We have a few readers who let their partners pick out their undies. But those seem to be rare. Most have partners who aren’t into it as much as they are, but no matter how uninterested partners are, there is something they love seeing you in. It’s time to give them what they want. And make a great night of it!

Be who you are, with out shame!

We profile everything here on UNB. It’s about all underwear, well until we get a boxer brief guy (why are they so hard to find). One person that always makes me smile on Instagram is Joe Spaceman (@sixfootfiveguy). He’s big on pink and wearing thongs and gear that is pink. He’s living his best gear life. We all need to find what makes us happy and rock it. To hell with what others say. One more thing about Joe is he looks great in his pink thongs too!

Be who you are on Valentine’s Day! Rock what you want to rock and then rock your partners world! If you’re like me and single, still wear what you want and enjoy the day.

Why N2N Bodywear Makes awesome Singlets

I Love N2N Bodywear gear! Andrew really knows how to make something that is super sexy but is also very comfortable. All the designs they create show off a guys body. Sometimes it can do it a little too well, but for most readers of UNB that’s not a problem.

The Superstar singlet was one I was going to review on UNB but before I really got to wear it for a review it was sold out! So instead of reviewing a singlet that you guys can’t get (which sucks cause this one is amazing). I’d write up why N2N Singlets are great!!

This pair really is super hot. The colors and the way they are made really are sexy to me. It’s something new and different in the market. I think he designs these so you will look great and feel sexy. You can wear them to wrestle in but you can wear them for any occasion including private wrestling.

To me, singlets are all about fun. When I wear them I fell super sexy with the tight spandex clinging to me all over. Some guys like the singlet pictured above and others love the ones with amazing pouches that are more for fetishwear. N2N Bodywear makes both.

Plus, when you put on an N2N Bodywear singlet, they are very well made. I have too many to count, and as long as you take care of them, they will last a long time.

The one thing about the last year with N2N Bodywear is there isn’t a 2019 line it’s smaller collections put out through the year. If you don’t order close to release you maybe out of luck like with the Super Star singlet.

N2N Bodywear makes a great starter singlet. They aren’t too expensive and fit great. Go check them out if you are in the market for a singlet.

Beefy Boy Makes Jocks for everyone

Our philosophy here at UNB is that underwear is for every guy. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight, beefy, or thin. A company that came across my radar is Beefy Boy. Our friend Scruffy Gear Blog posted about them on Instagram. Looking into them and I Love what they are doing.

They are a brand that is founded in Chicago. Their philosophy is they are “committed to authentic body images, rooted in diversity and inclusion.” More brands are starting to include and design for guys on the larger end of the spectrum.

Their images are not the typical male models. They are real guys without six packs and of all sizes and colors. From what I see of their images I really love. I think their customers feel the same!

Currently, they just sell jocks. I hope we get to see them expand their line up eventually to more including briefs, thongs and more. I am going to reach out to them and hopefully do an interview with them. I think brands like this need to get more press and exposure in the market.

It’s Fetish Friday!!! One of my favorite days of the week. I love to share good gear. One thing that has taken off the last year or so are harnesses. They are no longer made of leather, but come in many different forms. One that I love is the Maskulo Armored Harness.

A Brand that reached out to us is Pothos. They have a very unique philosophy for men’s underwear. It is:

Our brand was founded on January 2018, with the aim to bring the sensuality and boldness of women’s lingerie to men’s underwear. As we looked further on the industry of mens underwear we could not find a product that had the luxury and design of it without being just a copy of women’s undergarments. Every brand that approached this type of product, did just my adjusting the fitting, not the designs itself, so most of the times the pieces are just women’s lingeire not having in consideration that men have specific needs when it comes to underwear.

Who is Pothos?

POTHOS, son of Aphrodite and God of Sexual Longing: Pothos is the greek god of sexual sexual longing, yearning and desire. Most of the times he is portrayed as playing a lyre, enchanting humans to long for a sexual partner and for someone to fall inlove with. He is part of the Erotes with Anteros (“Love Returned”), Himeros (“Impetuous Love” or “Pressing Desire”), Hedylogos (“Sweet-talk”), Hymenaios (“Bridal-Hymn”), Hermaphroditus (“Hermaphrodite” or “Effeminate”).

They shared with us their collection for this year:

Our collection took 6 months to develop: we needed to have embroideries that would be comfortable, and which could look manly. Also the fitting was a big issue: we wanted to make sure that our boxers would fit every body’s type: from big musuclar men to skinny young men and that regardless the size of their genitalia, every man could have the support and enhancing effect as well as humidity control on this specific area.

We have started with 7 base designs: one for each day of the week. Our collection had only two types of pieces: trunks and briefs.

After this was available to the market, we thought that we needed to expand our collection to other types of undergarments: bikinis, jockstraps and boxerbriefs.

New Skin Fit Bikini Dual

One company that I am totally obsessed with right now is Skin Fit. They are an amazing gear company out of Mexico. They are a mix of off the rack and custom. In each style, you get to pick the colors of the pair. With them, you don’t have to be limited in just a few colors.

One thing from Skin fit I haven’t profiled is their underwear. This is the Bikini Dual. A brief that has one color in the front and a different on the sides. It reminds me of a very 80’s design that I used to love. It’s retro but super HOT.

I first saw this in a story on Instagram. It was paired with the Leg Fit. Which aren’t quite tights but more spandex leggings. It makes the perfect pairing. It was also shown to pair these with a thong too. You can match either color in the Leg Fit.

One of my favorite jocks they have right now is the Grizzly Jock. There are several reasons. Frist is the design. the front looks almost like a brief. It looks very contemporary.
