Each year we grow our straight readers a bit more. This was something I never thought we would accomplish when I launched UNB. It was always a goal but wasn’t sure it was attainable. Now, 7 years latter we have quite a few straight underwear lovers out there. All guys wan too have amazing underwear! Its like I have always said give a guy a great pair of underwear and he’s hooked!
We want to find more straight guys to write for the site. Straight guys face issues in wearing great underwear and speedos that we gay guys get a pass for with the public. If someone sees someone in a speedo automatically, the general public, thinks he’s gay. Also, sometimes their girlfriends or wives don’t get the underwear or like it. Or worse what they think is sexy doesn’t match their partner.
How do you deal with that? We are looking for some great guys who want to join the site that can share this and develop conversations with guys. We are a friendly bunch here at UNB and miss our resident straight guy Jon. Jon had to focus on work and we aren’t sure when he will be back. In the mean time we want to find more guys to join us and address the needs of this audience!
Lastly, many straight guys out there are HUGE underwear fans. I mean even more so than a lot of gay guys out there. If you’re one of those guys we want to talk to you!
If you are interested in joining us, email us at info at underwearnewsbriefs dot com! Let’s talk guys!

You saw Drew in our Holiday Guide! Now he’s running for Model of the Year at All American Guys! So go vote for this amazing guy and we hope to see him be the winner! Vote at http://allamericanguys.com/vote2015

How many of us resolved that this year we would get in better shape? I know many of our readers to every January, including myself. Now that we have resolved to do better, there is no better reason than to buy underwear to help with that goal. C-IN2 released the new Grip Pro line this week! The Grip line has become one of the hottest and best selling for C-IN2!
The new line focuses on fitness and compression. Made out of a 85% Polyester, 15% Spandex/Elastane/Lycra blend. The stitching on the pairs is made for fitness. They will stretch and move with you no matter what you are doing. It could be weight lifting, spin, running or cross fit. I haven’t tried them but the look makes me know this is going to be an amazing line.
Sports underwear can sometimes be super expensive. Sometimes $40 and up, not this line from C-IN2 the pairs range from $24-28. Which is a great price point in the world of underwear. Especially for a specialty line like this one. Plus you can tell the people in your life who say you have too much underwear, “this is to help motivate me to workout!”
The new line comes in a Low Rise Profile Brief ($24), Sport Boxer Brief ($26) and the Sport Cycle ($28). The line only comes in Black and Smoke Stack. Smoke Stack is a very light grey color. Each color also has a matching Grip waistband. This band sets the pair off nicely.
I really like this line. It’s basic but its supposed to be that way. A lot of guys don’t want flashy underwear for the gym. The bigger market is after the black/white only. If lines are successful we will see more colors added hopefully. The last fitness pair I tried was the Yoga line. Those were amazing so I hope they keep up the tradition of making amazing fitness underwear!
You can find all these pairs at the C-IN2 website right now! Go shop and get underwear that will help you accomplish your new years resolution of working out and getting in better shape!

We have many readers who love a great pouch. I am in the same camp. Pouch is one of the most important things to me. I like a natural pouch. Meaning I hate a c-ring or similar enhancing features. Over the years I have been in search of the best pouches on the market. I am telling you guys what they are!

If you’re just getting into underwear and don’t have a lot of money to buy underwear. This post is for you! Or even if you are a long time lover but want to get some great deals. Great underwear doesn’t come cheap. Prices can range from $15-40 depending on the brand and even go higher. So what’s a guy to do who’s just getting into underwear? We couldn’t have you go without! Here are a few suggestions to grow your collection and try a new brands.
Cheapundies.com – The guys at Cheaupundies.com get some amazing deals. They have had a lot of brands we cover on there for sometimes 1/4 of the price. I have seen underwear for $5 on the site before. These are close outs and last seasons collections. But for a deal does it really matter? We definitely think not. Also on the site is their own brand of underwear. The CheapUndies brand is a great brand. It has been my experience that they are great quality at amazing prices. I would suggest any pair they sell! Its best to sign up for their email and shop them daily. The deals can go fast, especially on popular brands. This is one time you snooze you loose comes into play. (the picture above is the new Fresh line from Cheapundies.com)
Baskit $12 Tuesday – Baskit runs one pair on Tuesdays for $12. This is a big discount from the regular prices. Each week the pair changes. They range from jock briefs to boxer briefs and everything in between. Baskit has always made quality underwear and has some really great pairs right now. They also occasionally have other pairs on sale along with the $12 Tuesday. The best thing to do is follow us on social media or Baskit. We share the pair every week on our blog. Plus if you love the pair you can pick up a few at the great price.
N2N Bodywear Year end Sale – N2N Bodywear makes some amazing underwear, swimwear and gear. Their new collection comes out about every March/April. Around Christmas they start running some great sales. Prices range from $10-25. I have picked up a few things in their sales before. Also throughout the year, if you live in the LA area, they have warehouse sales. Where you can go pick out gear for even less. UNB TMG on our site has gone and gotten things for as low as $5. Yes this makes me very jealous!
Discount Stores – Stores such as Marshall’s & TJ Maxx can have great underwear. They aren’t as good as they used to be its more hit or miss right now. But great deals can be had in the stores. One Store that I think has a massive selection is Century21 in NYC. I haven’t been there in 10 years but readers have told me over the years they still have a great selection. The last time I went I think I spent 45 minutes in the underwear section alone. This option you have to go in person. Some of you guys hate to go shop in person, so keep that in mind.
These are a few suggestions on how to get great underwear at an even better price. If you have any other suggestions where to get great undies cheap, let us know! We will share them with you guys!

We love the work Timoteo does for his own brand! This is Stephen wearing best selling Atletico Jockstrap. We hope to bring you a lot more new pics from them soon!

PUMP! Underwear doesn’t make just underwear they also have great socks! Socks are one thing that’s really taking off this past year. If you’re a fan of socks make sure you go to the PUMP! Sock page!

Happy New Year guys. We hope you had a great night lsat night and this year is full of gear for you. This is a shot by RSH Photography featuring Antonio in N2N Bodywear!
When you think of underwear, for most our readers Fort Troff doesn’t come to top of mind. Those familiar with it know its got some great gear and fetish materials. They have had underwear for a few years but most has been very much fetish driven. They have just released the new Fort Grunt Boxer Briefs. Fort Troff furnished a few pairs to review. It was definitely interesting to receive underwear that I had no clue what it looked like.
When I opened the package I saw a camo print underwear line. Camo has been big but this is Fort Troff’s own print. Its not green but grey and I really liked it. The first thing I noticed was the quality. Some times when you get underwear from a company that specializes in fetish, its made to take off than keep on. This was not the case with this pair. The feel really impressed me and you could tell that a lot of effort was put into this new line. Fort Troff said they used the same factory that produces UnderArmour. After they told me this, it does have a feel of UA but with a bit more fetish side!
I wore the pair to work one day in a busy week. These undies are not make for fun, they are really great undies that you can wear during the day. The pouch has a sort of mesh material made for breathability and it gave some good support too. “This moisture-wicking performance fabric has incredible stretch…and our mesh pouches BREATHE…for all damn day comfort” This is what they say about the line. It was very true. An amazing fabric on a print just made this pair a winner for me!
The big question for most is what is the sizing? Being a new brand for me I don’t have anything to draw from other than the size chart. Small is for waist sizes 28-30 inches. Medium is for waist sizes 30-32 inches. Large is for waist sizes 32-34 inches. X-Large is for waist sizes 35-37 inches. I received an XL and I think I’m bigger than 37 and it fit pretty well. I was surprised. I was fully expecting to try them on and go “OH NO, too small”
I was super skeptical when I was sent the undies. I am not the biggest boxer brief fan so this already had me going, ehhh. After wearing them, this is an amazing pair of underwear. This is an every day pair. This line is made to feel sexy yet comfortable every day.

It’s been quite a year at UNB. Like most things there were ups and downs through out the year. 2015 also marked the 7th year of doing UNB. Which is in sane to me! On one hand it doesn’t seem I have been doing it that long and on the other I can’t picture my life without doing it! I think this past year has made me look at where we have come and where we are going. Which may sound ominous, but we always have something up our sleeve!
Here is my Look Back of what happened this year!

Magic Feb 2015 – February is the BIG show of the year. Its the one more brands go too. It was great seeing brands that I only get to see once a year. It was the last time that Curve was a separate show. There were always one or two men’s brands at Curve, now they have moved on to other shows. While I still go to Curve its not like the old days where you could spend a full day covering brands. One of my highlights of the trip was going out to eat the the N2N guys. Whom I love each of them. They are amazing! This was also the trip I came down with Bronchitis on the last day of the show. Let me tell you there is nothing worse than traveling sick!

DrawerFull.com March Show – In Vegas I got the chance to meet the guys behind Drawerfull.com. They were doing a show on March 6th. The weekend before the winter storm hit Lexington, KY and it was iffy up until that morning. I kept checking the weather and road conditions and chanced it. I drove up and until I really got to the Kentucky state line there wasn’t much snow. The drive up wasn’t too bad. I went to the show took pics and had a great time. It was a really great show.

Swim Guide – Our guides have constantly improved. Our Swimwear was shot in May with four great models. It also marked the last time, for a while, that Matt helped with the shoots. At the time I didn’t know he would be taking a great job and be unable to help. He’s been a mainstay in UNB Guide shoots for the last few years. SHH don’t tell him I miss him greatly. He secured a great location and we had some amazing brands. the whole guide turned out amazing! We had Chandler, Michael and Nathan returns and the addition of Bobby. The brands sent great suits, Clever, WildmanT, JOR, aussieBum, N2N Bodywear, Modus Vivendi and Junk UnderJeans. It was shot by Taylor Campbell.

Clever Shoot w/ Damien – We branched out a little and did a shoot with Damien (from our Holiday Guide) with photographer Ignacio Rivera Jr. We found a great loft in Downtown Atlanta to shoot. The shoot turned out great! We had four pairs and after doing guide shoots, having just 4 pairs was easy and we could take our time! The pictures turned out great and we hope to do more!

Fox Style videos – We launched the Fox Style videos. This was something I was super proud of helping create. We picked the right person to do fashion and design a look around a pair of underwear. The first one was done on the site but it really didn’t take off until we did the videos. It was amazing. We had a slight set back at the end of the year and hope to relaunch them in 2016. We have been talking to Fox Michaels and hope to be back on track in the New Year. His schedule went crazy with work, travel and such.

Magic Aug 2015 – Vegas in summer is always HOT. Luckily this time I didn’t come down with Bronchitis! This show was one of the smallest shows ever. Which for me was a good thing. I expanded the shows I attended from 2 to 4. In addition from just Magic and Curve. I attended Liberty and Mrkt. This made my first day really long. I went to the Venetian and got both passes to each show. Luckily Liberty and Mrkt registration areas were side by side. I spent the morning meeting Wood underwear, Nasty Pig. After that I went to check out Curve at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Previously it was held at the Sands Expo space aka Venetian as I call it. If you have never been to the Las Vegas Convention center, consider yourself lucky. Its is the most monstrous building. I had to walk all the way to the back. Little did I know it was so big they have a shuttle service that takes you around the building. It was very different than years past. The following days I spent at Magic. It was great having less brands from the stand point I got to hang out and talk with a few brands. We got the amazing video from Junk UnderJeans of their model stripping.

Holiday Guide – Its always odd to me that we shoot the holiday guide at the end of October/beginning of November. As I mentioned above this was the first shoot without Matt. I had to recruit all the models and find a place. Matt has a knack of finding amazing places. Over October I secured the models. Chandler and Damien we have worked with before and new guys Drew, Wes and Pat. Plus we had all the brands secured. Clever, Pikante, Ergowear, N2N Bodywear, Jack Adams, Junk UnderJeans, YOCISCO, BearSkn and BüLGE Clothing. The one thing missing was a location. At first I thought a hotel room again, but the ones with suites were way out of our price range. On top of that there were only so many options for a hotel room. Then it hit me a studio. I found MAPS Studio and we went basic. The pictures turned out great! The classic white back ground was amazing. The new guys worked out well. We hopefully will do some new projects with them in 2016. This also was the fastest shoot we have ever done. Most holiday shoots last 3-4 hours due to the number of pieces we have to shoot. This lasted just over 2 hours!
These are just the highlights of what happened this year! Many more things happened this year but I wanted to focus on the highlights and good things of the year! We look forward to 2016. We def need your help going forward! More on that in the new year!

Earlier this year Cocksox did a series with Scott Cullens. It was one of the most popular pics of the year! This pic was in our top 5 in Instagram! We hope we will see more of both in the new year!

The title may sound odd but Timoteo has a new line called Bare. Why is it called Bare? Well glad you asked! I know we have many readers who hate waistbands. I mean they really hate waistbands and prefer a waistband the smaller the better. Timoteo, has been known for their awesome waistbands over the years, the Bare is for Waistband dislikers!
Timoteo says this is a “minimalist style.” I would have to agree. You will notice it definitely sits lower on the waist. Timoteo says its ultra clean and sexy. You maybe asking why the change in designs? Timoteo is a company that is always designing the next best pair of underwear. I think Timoteo is one of the great underwear designers of our generation. I don’t say that lightly. He likes to experiment and have fun with underwear!
The Bare comes in a brief and jock brief. I will say I would love to see their take on a boxer brief in this line. The brief and jock brief are perfect pairs for the line. Each pair comes in white, black and blue. Each pair has a contrasting waistband color. The Brief retails for $20 and Jock Brief is $21 on the Timoteo site.

Fan of the Baskit Just /b/ Briefs? This is a picture featuring model Nelson Marin as shot by Rich Mackey. We hope you enjoy it and will go see more at the Baskit site.
Men’s underwear is in the process of going mainstream. More and more guys are really paying attention to what they are wearing on a daily basis. This is proven by the growth in our straight readers every year. Yes, believe it or not we have quite a few amazing straight readers. They are just as passionate as gay guys!
So what do we want to see next year? We want to see more runway shows. This year we saw two shows from 2(X)ist and CA-RIO-CA Sungas. Both were amazing and the 2(X)ist was during NY Fashion Week and CA-RIO-CA did two shows, one in LA and one in Miami. Both shows were amazing. I believe we posted the videos of each and if you missed them they are on each company’s YouTube Channels
Every year Victoria’s Secret has a big show on network TV. Women’s underwear/lingerie is ok to show but men’s underwear still has a major stigma. It’s time to change that stigma! The shows by both companies were really great shows. CA-RIO-CA put some showmanship in the show featuring Carnival Dancers and a back flip on the runway.
Who would we love to see do a full on Fashion show? That is a long list, we’d love every brand to do one but here are my top picks for brands that would rock a runway!
These are only a few. There are way more brands to see on the runway. Let’s hope more brands try this out. I know we will see a new show from 2(X)ist and CA-RIO-CA this year.

Who doesn’t love a pair of Pink undies? Most of you out there really do love pink. But if pink isn’t your color there are a few more to choose from. This week the pair of the week that is only $12 is the Just /b/ Brief.
Be first. Be ready. Be amazing. You have to be a lot of things in this world if you want to get anywhere and let’s be honest, “amazing” takes a lot of effort. Sometimes you just want to… be. You want to sit back, relax and take the world without having to worry about anything. So start your day right with a good pair of underwear and let the effort of “being” just happen around you. Go on… Just /b/ and you’ll /b/ one step closer to amazing.

Up next week is the Ribbed Jockbrief

Over the Christmas Holiday I had a lot of down time to recharge. Working two jobs before the holidays takes it out of you! While sitting around I started to think about classic underwear. Such as traditional white briefs. Knowing our readers the way I do, few of you out there would actually wear them on a regular basis. Granted, I think every guy should have a pair of them in his undies drawer.
What classifies a pair as a classic. I think the majority of the public classifies the conservative as a classic. It’s time to change that mentality. Real underwear lovers like styles outside of basic briefs. They include thongs, bikinis, and boxer briefs. They can be made out of any fabric from cotton to mesh.
Thinking of pairs over the last 10 years got me thinking which pairs are a classic. One of them immediately came to mind was the Cocksox CX01 Bikini. It has been a mainstay at Cocksox since their beginning. The pair has changed very little over the years, outside the colors. The fit and pouch is one of the best on the market. The fabric is 92% Supplex® 8% Lycra® that fits awesome and holds up very well. I actually have the first pair of CX01 from 2007 that I still wear!
The colors have been amazing in the CX01 over the years. I think it’s a true statement that it can be made in prints and solids and still maintain its design. That is a sign of a classic. The colors have been every color of the rainbow over the years. The prints include camo, stripes and more!
If you haven’t tried the CX01, you need at least one pair in your underwear drawer. If not a few of them! I have about 4-5 of them in various colors. My favorite has been the pink/magenta! The CX01 retails for $25 at the Cocksox site.

This picture just says Modus Vivendi. Its one of their most recognizable pairs, the Sumo Brief. The photography featuring their Greek heritage is some of my favorite in the world of underwear. The Sumo Brief for just a few days only at 20% off! Use code SUMO20 at checkout. See their full range and choose your favorite:
