Do you remember the Let’s get Physical line? This was a line Modus Vivendi released a few years ago! It’s images were shot in a gym!
So what is Merino? Merino is some of the softest and finest wool on the market. It is commonly used in high performance athletic wear for it’s properties over synthetic fabrics. Those properties are regulating body temperature, draws moisture from the body, has antimicrobial abilities and an amazing warmth to weight ratio. (Info gathered from Wikipedia for Merino Sheep). Now that we know what Merino is let’s talk about the line!
This range is made for performance and comfort. aussieBum is one of those companies that loves to experiment with new fabrics. Until this range I was not aware of Merino wool. Although, after reading out the wool, it seems like this is a perfect fabric for underwear. It not only can keep you warm but keep moisture away from the body! I think this is pretty awesome!
So how does aussieBum describe the range:
Merino is world first in men’s underwear design incorporating a merino wool waistband. Innovation and functionality is what makes this a style leader in the field of thermal comfort. Absolute luxury in quality, fit and most importantly comfort. No expense has been spared in developing the world’s first Merino wool waistband that provides additional comfort in extreme heat and cold weather. Merino delivers where other brands have failed to deliver when using merino wool as its core fibre. If there is one style to have always in your underwear draw, we highly recommend ‘Merino’. The best of the best is comfort, quality and performance.
The range has the typical styles we know from aussieBum, the brief and hipster. The colors of the range are black and grey with a red aussieBum waistband. The fabric content is 94% Merino Wool, 6% Elastane. The brief retails for $28.34 and hipster is $29.34 at the aussieBum site
So I recently decided that it was time to scale back my underwear collection. Gasp, yes I actually said that out loud. Not to say I have a problem getting rid of them, but I do have a few pairs that I graduated from college with me a couple of decades ago. The thing is, my tastes in underwear have evolved over the years. I used to wear strictly briefs. That was my thing. I gradually added a few jocks here or there but only wore them for “special occasions”. That worked for me for years and years.
Then I started to branch out and tried some skimpier bikinis. What had I been missing all that time? I was hooked. So all those briefs went into hiding in my dresser and storage box in the closet. In the last two years I have really started to enjoy wearing thongs as well. So my beloved briefs began to gather dust. About a year ago I decided it was time to purge the collection of the ones that I never wear anymore. Some just didn’t float my boat anymore, others don’t fit as well (damn this aging thing).
I had a moment of silence as I began to sort through them, the pile of unwanted undies growing ever larger. Was I really about to throw out so many pairs that had stood the test of time? I had a hamper full of underwear to go through. In the end they all went right back where they came from in the dresser and storage boxes. The best laid plans and all that jazz went right out the window.
Fast forward a year. I’m moving into a new home soon and have been purging all sorts of things from my current home. Things that have been in closets since I moved here 4 years ago. So it only seems natural that I revisit the idea of slimming down my underwear collection. Realistically, I probably wear about a fourth of them regularly.
Again I find myself in a dilemma. What do I do? I’ve gotten as far as separating the ones I know I want to keep and the ones that no longer fit. There’s an entire drawer full of underwear that I should part with but am still on the fence about. Every day I pull a pair or two out and either put it in the keep pile or throw it in the to-go box. Every time I put another pair in that box I feel a little sad. It’s like I’m saying goodbye to long time friends. But hey, I’ve made lots of new “friends” lately and, since I clearly have an obsession, will be making plenty more in the future. Out with the old and in with the new. There’s got to be a therapy group for this somewhere.
ES Collection has released a new collection called INK. This pair from the collection is for those who love a longer boxer brief. A few brands are going longer, are you a fan of them?
In Vegas this year I had the honor to finally meet up with the guys from Nasty Pig. I got a quick preview at what was coming and hope to bring you a lot more from them. Nasty Pig will be doing some great things! One of those great things is the Maverick line. The line has briefs, jocks and matching socks.
This is Nasty Pig’s first Sports Mesh line. Meaning it could be great gym wear! But we see more wearing them for every day wear! The bright colors and matching branded waistband. This collection looks really great and fun. Its a little more mainstream but that’s not a bad thing. As you can see from the pic above you can also still use in different situations.
Nasty Pig is no stranger to the world of jockstraps. I think some of their jocks have become synonymous to the fetish jock. These however are not fetish but more every day wear (I guess you could wear for fetish as well). The new jocks come in three colors. They are black, blue and green.
The briefs has a traditional design. They are a pouch brief with out a fly. Each of the colors has a solid color with an accenting pouch. The Blue and Green have a black pouch where as the black has a white pouch. All pairs are trimmed in white. Its a great design that I like.
The last thing are the socks. Each color has matching socks. Socks are gaining in popularity with underwear. A few brands are doing it but I think Nasty Pig was one of the first to do it. I can picture many of our readers lounging around on a weekend in one of these pairs and the socks.
You can find these pairs at the Nasty Pig website. The brief and jock each retail for $32. The socks retail for $16 each.
We LOVE Andrew Morrill. This year he has a calendar where the proceeds go to charity! What better way to celebrate a new year, by helping out a great cause as well! You can get the calendar from Flash Avenue Studio Shop
We love John Sievers underwear! International Jock just released a new line of the brand! We had to include this pic that shows off the amazing pouch. Go see the entire collection!
Initial impression of these briefs was that the print looked cool. Also, there appeared to be very little room in the crotch area. This was the second item I have tried on by BodyAware, with the leggings being the first. There is only one color/style to this and that is the b&w comic strip
I have only worn these around the condo. I lounged and wondered around while wearing them to see how they fit on a normal day.
I got a large pair, they were able to fully cover my butt and fit nicely around my waist. The sizing on the website for the briefs states that a large is 34-36”. Which seems to be the standard American Large size.
Some of the things I liked about this pair is the print, it is a very fun and it has some cute comic style phrases around it. Another thing that I enjoyed was how well It fits my butt and my waste. it fully covers it, and the last thing I enjoyed about it was the fabric itself. The one and only thing I didn’t like about it was how little room there was in the front for my package. I would like to have seen more room in the front pouch area.
Pros:
· Fun pattern
· Good Sizing
· Well made
Cons:
· Cut around the crotch
Rating:
· Daily Fit – 7
· Sizing – 9
· Construction – 9
· Styling – 9.5
· Daily Performance – 8.5
· Overall – 8.6

My initial impression of these tights was that they are very bright and it was a soft material. This is the first item I have tried on by BodyAware. It comes in neon pink and neon yellow, I went with the neon yellow, which looks like a very bright neon green color to me.
I have worn these around the condo mainly; I believe they can be used for lounging attire and wearing at a bar. The fabric and stitching held up very well while walking around the condo, sitting/lounging and even doing some lunges (to see how the fabric would move).
The size I got was a large, and it fit my waist, thighs, calves & butt very well. I am a huge fan of leg day at the gym, so my thighs are not skinny, and the material hugged them very well. The sizing I believe is very accurate. So if you normally wear a large, then get a large; if you sometimes wear a large and sometimes a medium. I would recommend go with the large.
Some of the things that I liked about these are that the material is extremely comfortable. They are very form fitting; and that the color is a very fun bright color. The main thing I did not like about it was how they had done the crotch pouch. If you are standing your package fits in it, but once you start to move or sit then it doesn’t and becomes very unflattering. With how the fabric is, if I wanted to wear them to the gym then I would have to have a jockstrap on under it. Which is kind of a pro & a con. I would like to have seen was a better cut in the crotch area.
Pros:
- Fun bright color
- Good Sizing
- Amazing Material
Cons:
- Cut around the crotch
Rating:
- Daily Fit – 9
- Sizing – 9
- Construction – 9
- Styling – 9
- Daily Performance – 8
- Overall – 8.8

Teamm8 is known for making really really great pairs of underwear. The Medal and Touchdown are two lines that come to my mind. Now they have released the Stadium range. Stadium is is a mix of solid and stripes. Which may sound odd but Teamm8 really makes a fun and sexy pair!
The range has two different styles. Those styles are a brief and a a Trunk. The brief has four colors, where as the trunk only has two. The brief colors are Blue, Green, Navy and Pink. The trunk comes in blue and white. I have to admit I love the green and pink pairs in the brief. My favorite in the trunk is Blue.
This is the description of the Brief:
The stadium brief is sure to get you feeling in fine form with its comfortable blend of high quality cotton and elastane. Its wide metallic waistband feature complements the four solid colours that are available: navy, green, pink or blue. The distinct navy and white stripe print featured on the side panels of the blue and green briefs runs throughout the back in the pink and navy. The stadium collection gives you the confidence you need to separate yourself from the ordinary, without having to stray from stylish simplicity.
Thi sis the description of the Trunk:
The stadium trunk is created for optimum support with its comfortable blend of high quality cotton and elastane and euro-trunk square shape. Its wide metallic waistband feature complements the 2 solid colours that are available: navy or blue. The distinct navy and white stripe print is featured on both side panels, and runs all the way throughout the back. The stadium collection gives you the confidence you need to separate yourself from the ordinary, without having to stray from stylish simplicity
Both are out now! The brief retails for $35 AUD and the Trunk is $37 AUD. Shop the Teamm8 site for this and other pairs.

These shorts are unlined so you can pull them on over underwear or as a cover up for swimwear. If you are feeling daring and love the feel of the silky ripstop material then we recommend you try these as underwear.
One of my favorite brands has some new underwear out. The John Sievers line from International Jock. There have been a few of us here who sing the praises of the brand. It’s well made and perfect for the guy who needs a good solid pouch. Its been a favorite of mine for over a year.
If a comfy, natural fit is what you look for in men’s underwear, give John Sievers a try! The all-new John Sievers Highlite brief is named after the thin stripe of color on top of the waistband – not to mention the way it ‘highlights’
your package!
Each pair of John Sievers underwear is made of super-soft modal fabric and features a unique, deeply-contoured shape that conforms perfectly to your body. The pouch softly hugs the area behind your scrotum with just enough tension to
lift your genitals up and forward, creating a natural bulge-enhancing effect.
Pull on a pair of John Sievers underwear and feel the difference! Now available at International Jock in brief and boxer brief cuts in a variety of colors.
Its slowly becoming calendar time! Flash Avenue Studios told us about two of the calendars they have out. They are the “Hunks of London” and Andrew Morrill. Both are great calendars to use through out 2016

I just love getting underwear from Ergowear to review. The pouch is one of my favorite. While I’m still making up my mind with the Feel line (read the past review). Its been one of my favorites in underwear for many years. The new pair I get to review is the Trio Brief. It was just released back when the new swimwear was released!
My first thing I love is the color. I’m a big fan of green underwear. Let’s face it we all have our favorite colors in underwear. This pair is a mix of green and blue! Its made as a bikini (but some may not call it a bikini, you know who you are out there). Meaning it’s a waistband about 1.5 inches thick with only a pouch and the back.
I wore this on a lazy day. I amdit it, I did absouletly nothing the day I wore these. I had high hopes that they would be an amazing lounge pair. You know we all need underwear that does well when active. Its equally important to have a great pair when you are having a day to veg and binge watch your favorite TV show or play video games.
When I slid them on I really loved the pouch. It felt great on and contained everything. The colors were also fun on! Let’s talk about this pouch. The front is just the pouch and the waist band. There is nothing on the sides. This can sometimes cause issues with the pouch loosing its shape. This pair never had any issues with that. It held everything together!
The materials felt good too. It’s not as amazing as the Sauve collection but still very good. The back could have been a bit bigger, it didn’t ride up but did ride up a little. So if you have a butt you may not like this pair.
We must talk sizing! As always if you go see their sizing chart you will have no problem finding the right size for you. Over the years they have been pretty consistent on the sizes they offer. I can’t remember anytime I have received something that wasn’t the size it was offered as (in inches that is).
Pros:
- Its my favorite color green
- Skimpy brief Cut
- Great sizing
Cons:
- Back may not fit all
- The cut may be too skimpy to others
Ratings:
- Daily Fit – 8
- Sizing – 9
- Construction – 9
- Styling – 9
- Daily Performance – 8
- Overall – 8.6

Thongs are now coming in may different hybrids. One of the most recent that comes to mind is the Jock Thong. Which I believe Andrew Christian made as well. Now he’s making the Blow Web Thong. What is that? It’s just as it says, the back is a web thong back!
Andrew Christian is no stranger to sexy thongs. Over the last few years thongs have been growing in popularity among guys. More and more companies are coming out with them. Andrew Christian has always done super sexy thongs. One of the most popular thongs has been the Spider Jock that has come out in a few collection. This pain has a full pouch, with the Blow waistband and straps in the back in the form the Web!
Here is what AC says about the pair:
With its unique and innovating thong style back and the addition of extra web strapping, our brand new BLOW! Web Thong Extra will flatter that ass like nothing you’ve ever seen. It features a slimming BLOW! Waistband for extra support and comfort for all day wear. Or all night. But, let’s be honest. You won’t be able to keep ’em on that long. When you pull them on, your package will fall naturally into the super soft snuggle pocket to create a truly enjoyable unique wearing experience. Like all of your favorite Andrew Christian underwear, they virtually eliminate sticking, squashing, re-adjusting, sweating and chafing and feature an anatomically correct pouch with fun snuggle fit. There’s almost too much to love in this limited edition new pair. Almost.
The pair comes in Black and Neon Yellow. It retails for $31.90 on the Andrew Christian Website.
