Review – Petit-Q String Ohlala

Calling the Petit-Q String Ohlala underwear would be doing it a great disservice. This thong-like accouterment is delicate, fun, sexy, and so different from anything I’ve ever worn. Described as male lingerie, the Ohlala comes in black and is made of (as far as I can tell, there are no tags with the material makeup) cotton and spandex.

I was a little worried about whether the Ohlala would be comfortable to wear for a whole day, so I tried it out one night while going for dinner instead. While it was comfortable during the meal, by dessert I was already starting to get a little antsy to get it off. My recommendation is not to use this for everyday wear, but save it for a special occasion (or a few special occasions).

What’s great about this underwear is its versatility. One day you can wear it as a thong, one day just a pouch, and because of the snaps on it, there are a large variety of ways that the item may be worn. The downside to this however, is that it can be extremely confusing trying to figure out how to get it on. When none of the snaps are together, the underwear becomes a puzzle that can take a bit of effort to solve. It would have been nice if they came with an instruction manual of the various ways to put the snaps together. Before I did more research online, I didn’t even realize that there was more than one way to snap it together. If I hadn’t researched, I may have missed out on one of the biggest benefits to the Petit-Q Ohlala, and just thought that I’d received a thong in the mail.

Review – Bum-Chums Solar Pant Hip Brief

“But a deltoid, and a bicep. A hot groin and a tricep. Make me, ooh, shake” , wonderful quote from the Rocky Horror Picture Show and an even better beginning to this underwear review.  How else can I start a review on a piece of underwear that is made of golden lycra.  It has its positives and negatives that are very easy to point out.

First, it is incredibly comfortable. It has plenty of room for all the important goods, both front and back. Though it does not have a rear seam to show off certain assets, it still lifts and makes everything look perky. The front seam creates a great pouch which hugs everything perfectly.  To top all of that off it comes in all sizes, including extra-small and extra-large.

The main negatives: It only comes in one color… gold. It states on the website

“Please note: All the Celestial range products are ‘special occasion’ underwear and as such we recommend they be worn as ‘occasional’ wear. The regular wearing and washing of these products may result in abrasion and subsequent dulling of the foil surface. Bum-chums can accept no responsibility should this occur.”

I love this brief. It is all around great.

Review – Cover Male CM116: Jock Strap

It’s an itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow…banana hammock? That was my first reaction to the fluorescent yellow Cover Male jock strap.  Upon first look, it doesn’t even appear to be large enough to cover even the smallest of men. I am happy to say my first reactions were incorrect. As I stepped into the jock strap, I found it quite comfortable and extremely sexy. The wide, soft waist band and straps make it comfortable along the legs and hips while the 83% polyester and 17% Spandex pouch hold much more than you would think.

The pouch is shaped perfectly to hold even the largest package with its stretchy material and nicely places stitching. There is one negative though, you have to wear your package facing down. If you face it the wrong way, you will find nothing fits in this piece.

Available in nine colors from black to yellow and sizes small to x-large, you can find a pair of this underwear in your favorite shade. One downside is that the materials require that this underwear be machine washed and lay flat to dry. It is difficult to remember to take these out of the laundry to dry. That being said, I forgotten both times I have washed it. It still looks as great as when it came out of the package.

All in all a great brief, easy to wear, and  very sexy to the eye. It receives a definite positive review from me, especially when I am looking to be as skimpy as possible.

These performers have been featured in videos and tours with Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Kelly Rowland and Christina Aguilera. The video stars Haus of Gaga dancer, Michael Silas, and “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 5 first runner-up Brandon Bryant.

New PPU for 2012

PPU is a brand that has always had some classic to wild underwear. Meaning they have done solids in bigger cuts to thongs and jocks that are just barely there. This year is no different. They are making the collection a little more classic. Don’t worry if you are a fan of some of the wilder cuts, there are some new ones you would like.

Here is an overview of what you are seeing in the collection that is out now

  • They are introducing some basis back into the collection Basic Microfiber and mesh. It feels super SOFT
  • Those include styles: Boxer 1022, 1024, 1023, 1014, 1010
  • Peekaboo cut outs are part of the collection. These are cut outs on the side of the Boxer Brief. Style 1005
  • The jeweled, well you know (see pic below) on the pouch (Boxer 1070)
  • 1008 very cool cut. It’s almost a cross between a trunk and a brief. The curved tailoring makes it one of the more interesting in the collection.
  • Sheer is not gone from the collection. The front in 1006 is sheer and comes in black and white
  • 1020 circle marks the spot highlights the package in either grey, red or black
  • There are new jock briefs, jocks and thongs and Slingshot. My favorite is Style 1015. However 0962 is still an interesting take on a jock
  • Butt enhancer brief from PPU 0988. No one will be able to tell the padding is removable pads in front and back and one of the best from last season
  • 1016 is unofficially called squid. It is just a pouch for well, you have to see the picture below.
  • 0958 and 0987 are both c-ring enhancing pairs without a pouch.
