CX02_Shiraz_EditorialWe have to say Scott Cullens is one of the hottest models on the Underwear/Swimwear scene. In all our dealings with Scott he’s as nice as he is hot. He’s just one of those really nice guys out there. But now you can own a piece of Scott. It’s not exactly what you think. I know many out there would love to buy his underwear right off him. He’s auctioning off some of his shoes.

If you follow Scott on any social media you know he’s a big time shoe guy. He’s got a massive collection of everything you can imagine. I’m quite jealous of some of his shoes. Here is exactly what he’s doing:

100% of all proceeds go directly to Soles4Souls. 1.2 billion people live on less than $1.25 per day. 400 million are children. Many don’t have access to one of life’s most basic necessities: a good pair of shoes. Soles4Souls is a global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing.

All of the shoes are from my personal collection. Some are never worn, some barely worn, and some are collector’s editions. ALL are cared for and look new. These shoes are merely an incentive to open your hearts and donate to help another human being live better than they do at this moment. Help a child with basic life necessities we take for granted.

Go to Ebay and bid it’s only one for a few more hours!

maskulo-wrestling-singletsJust arrived and still exclusive in North America to Jockstrap Central it’s fetish gear designer Maskulo with their latest creation – a ridiculously hot wrestling singlet.

Available in three colors, these full featured singlets all have Maskulo’s signature removable codpiece and an easy access open back – perfect for that next kink fueled wrestling session. Whether you’re grappling, tackling, or getting ready to be pinned, Maskulo’s edgy design is the sure fire way to get your body slammed… Inside or outside of the ring. Here’s the details:

Made with a stretchy spandex that wears like a second skin with shoulder straps that swoop dangerously down to the top of Maskulo’s signature black padded detachable formed cod piece (pouch) giving you one massive bulge no matter what state you’re in. Contrasting vertical racing stripes enhance the contours. Unsnap just a bit of the pouch for a tease or all the way for a full frontal assault. Contrasting inner leg racing stripes and piping hit home the sports fetish look.

Spinning around, you’ll find an open concept design – whether it’s the exposed back created by the single narrow fabric running vertically down from the shoulders or the pièce de rèsistance: a convenient and welcome exposed ass.

Made with durable fabrics, double stitching and all come with a complete extra set of hardware (snaps), they’re quality all the way. They’re available in white and black, blue and black or red and black. Be sure to check out our model Mick taking these bad boys ringside for a workout over at the Jockstrap Central website. Needless to say, the view over there is often Not Safe For Work.

IMG_9886Fetish Friday is all about embracing the erotic side of underwear. This Friday is no different but it has a gay twist. I try to keep things very middle of the road for our readers (both gay and straight). However this week this is pretty much a “Slutty Gay Porn” site, self admitted, and some great underwear.

There are times when companies go specifically after one audience. This is a time that Underfetish is after the gay market. So straight boys you may skip them if you are easily offended or not into their type of underwear.

Many of you know the awesome underwear of McKillop. They have been at it since I think the inception of UNB. They have stepped out of their box and created a new site called UnderFetish.com. You maybe asking why? Well here is their explanation.

From our test collection KINK we learned you too have a kinky side. But for us to do a GREAT JOB at Kinky Undies we need to move away from our elegant parent company.

The new website IS NOT for everyone cause it is basically SLUTTY GAY PORN and Great Undies. YIPPIE : )

But for those who want to visit our new site we will only mention it ONCE : )

Please sign up for Underfetish News on their homepage cause they will not be integrated with Mckillop after today!

This site is not just for gay guys. If you are a fan of mesh and skimpy you will love the underwear they have. However, the pics are just what they say, well I wouldn’t go as far to say porn, but more soft core. It usually features two or more guys together. Now this might not be for all of you, so you have been warned.

Its a fun site for you guys to check out. Hats off to them for trying something fun and not taking themselves too serious. If you are interested in some skimpy, mesh and hot gear go to Underfetish to see the site

imageI wanted to introduce you guys to a relatively new blog on the scene  that blog is called The Bottom Drawer  you may ask what’s so different about that?  First his blog just covers bikinis and thongs.  Second is he’s a straight underwear lover   Which is awesome  we need more straight guys to get into the underwear world  here is his interview.

How did you discover your love of bikinis and thongs? Was your love like many other guys out there, you found bikinis then thongs?

I guess it all started when I received a catalog that listed various catalogs that you could subscribe to and I saw one for men’s underwear. If I remember right it was an Undergear/International Male catalog listed. I’ve always admired women in their variety of styles of underwear and swimwear. So when I saw that bikinis were available for guys my interest was piqued in giving them a try. Then probably a year or so later I saw bikinis for men listed in a Kmart sales flyer and of course I got to a store ASAP. As soon as I slipped on the first pair to give them a try I knew they were for me. Now here I am with quite a collection.

Yes, I found bikinis first. That was all that was available locally. It wasn’t until college when browsing the Undergear website that I came across thongs for men. Again my interest was piqued and eventually I placed an order. They took a few times wearing before I decided they were for me, but I liked how they looked from the start on me.

You love two specific styles of underwear, but what makes great underwear for you? Is it fit, fabric, design, color or etc?

Definitely the fit is what makes the underwear for me. I like snug fitting underwear with narrow sides. I also prefer the fabric covered waistbands over the exposed elastic ones. Always nice to have a selection of colors/patterns especially when you find a pair you really like.

In your underwear journey what are some of your favorite bikinis? What are some of your favorite thongs?

My top bikini choice is Prevail Sport’s string brief. They have narrow sides, about a 3/4 back, and a nice snug fit. I also like their rio and zealand brief. I’ve recently discover the brand Dietz and like the bikinis I’ve tried from them so far. Another recent discovery for me on the thong front is the Blueline t-back thong, which is more of a v-string. It’s on the skimpier side, but love how it molds to me and has become a go to thong. Then the Prevail Sport’s string thong brief is one I enjoy. I also have some nice thongs and bikinis from Kiniki and Bodyaware, which both make good quality underwear.

Are there brands you want to try that you haven’t tried yet? If so what brands?

Since starting blogging I have become more interested in trying out different brands instead of just sticking with my main go to ones. Dietz was one I tried recently. There are a few other that are on top of my list with some items I’d like to try. One is N2N and their vintage sports brief and g-string. Also have my eye on PPU’s Bali bikini, Male Power’s bong thong, and Intymen sport thong. Also heard good things about the JM SKINZ thong and wouldn’t mind trying it. Those are all from brands I haven’t tried yet. There are lots of other bikinis and thongs out there I’m interested in too.
Underwear blogging is getting bigger and bigger, what made you start a blog of your own?

I wanted a way to share my passion or maybe more of an obsession with others and I haven’t come across many blogs just focusing on bikinis and thongs that were still active. My hopes with expressing my thoughts and views on them is that I may encourage others that may be interested in trying them out to just do it. It gives me the opportunity to be a voice that it is fine for guys to wear sexy underwear and it isn’t just for the ladies. Another thing is I’d like to see swim briefs more popular at the beaches around the US, so wanted to share my experience as I try to become more of a regular wearer of them. Unfortunately that isn’t going as well as I’d like.

Being a straight guy in the world of blogging, what has the reception been?

So far it has been positive for me. Everyone that has commented or contacted me has been friendly, supportive, and/or complimentary. I haven’t come across the negativity that I heard others have come across.

From your perspective more straight guys are falling in love with underwear, why do you think that is?

One reason I think straight guys (really guys in general) may be getting more into underwear is there are more brands and styles available especially from when I started getting into them almost 20 years ago. With more brands there is more competition to get your name out there. Then the more you see something, the more likely it seems to stimulate one into trying things, so I would think that is a factor. I’d also guess that everyone that has been blogging about men’s underwear has given some guys the encouragement to go try some variety in the underwear department. Probably all of it comes down to the Internet in the end. Easy access to information.

St. Andrews Promo-01Profiling new companies is one thing I LOVE to do on UNB. Drake & Dutch reached out to us and they seem like a really interesting company. We wanted to share a bit more about them and give you an introduction to the brand. We will be working with them more but enjoy this brief look at them!

Drake & Hutch have created a new approach to men’s underwear by utilising the world-renowned principles of classic British tailoring to produce a fit and feel like no other. They offer simple everyday essentials consisting of outstanding quality and attention to detail.

St. Andrews Promo-01Drake & Hutch tailored underwear caters to the lifestyle of the modern man. As the first thing you put on and the last you take off, they believe underwear should be formed with the same attention to detail you would find on a bespoke suit. That is why they spent 2 years working with Jermyn St. tailors, testing and developing to perfect the block on which Drake & Hutch underwear is made. The fit this created is unique to the brand, providing support while preventing garment rise. Every piece of clothing has its own story which links to their tailoring heritage.

The brand are proud to work with some of the finest artisan mills and factories in the world. With over 100 years collective experience in clothing production they have a supply chain that shares their philosophy and belief in creating underwear of unrivalled character and quality.

On customer reactions to the brand, founder Pete McGuinness comments “there has been an incredible response to what we are creating, the positivity around comfort is particularly pleasing as we have invested heavily in perfecting this working with some of the finest tailors on Jermyn St. Attention to detail is key, we analyse every stitch to ensure our garments not only looks great but feel great. Competition in the menswear market is incredibly tough and to have a chance of succeeding you have to create something that really raises the bar, so that is what we have done.”

It should be noted I am not a big fan of boxer briefs When I have a piar to review I’m always a bit skittish. My go to pairs are briefs, bikinis and the like. My biggest issue with boxer briefs is the lack of pouch, riding up in the legs and bunching up. All of these things suck and are the reasons I hardly wear them.

Bülge Clothing has come on to the scene and I have been talking to the guys who started the brand. They are really some amazing guys and are doing something different. They send me a few pairs to try. Looking at their site they showed some promise but I was still skeptical. Think of the reasons up above. I was thinking “Sure if you’re a boxer brief fan, you will love these but I know I probably wont’ like them.”

I was going to wear them to Vegas for the week of Magic, but I decided to wait till I got back to try them. After I came home I gave them a spin, so to speak. When I slid them on the fabric was pretty great. It felt really wonderful against my skin. The next thing I noticed was the pouch. It actually had one! It gave me the support I really want in underwear! Lastly is the riding and bunching. The legs had elastic in them so this stopped the legs from ridding up and bunching.

It’s like the guys at Bülge designed a pair of boxer briefs for just me. All my issues with the style were pretty much non issues. These are designed for guys who are active. Their spokes people are MMA, IFBB and other fitness guys. So it’s definitely designed for guys who are active!

I seriously am impressed with this pair. I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. It’s rare I like a traditional boxer brief. They are doing something great. From the design to the amazing fabric, if you’re a boxer brief fan you will love them! And maybe if you’re not!

Pros:

  • Supportive pouch
  • Great fabric
  • Didn’t ride up

Cons;

  • Not in many colors
  • Some guys may not like the fit is a little loose if you are a briefs fan

natureAre you a fan of ManView Bodywear? If so, they just released a new collection in late August. The new collection is more of a basic line. CK_bb2rWIAAoIM-Sukrew makes amazing underwear. The pairs I have tried in the past have, to borrow a British term, brilliant. The pouch and fabric feel awesome to me. So, when the chance to try the new swimwear I jumped at it. I am definitely a swim brief kind of guy but I received the Swim Trunk in Navy! I wasn’t disappointed but couldn’t wait to try out this new suit.

Being in a land locked city the chances of wearing swimwear aren’t too often. I got an offer to spend the day with a friend by the pool. I know this would be the perfect chance to wear the suit. The pool was very swim brief and trunk friendly. Plus my friend I was with would be sporting a swim brief and definite loves swim briefs. So, I knew me wearing it wouldn’t be an issue at all.

Compared to their underwear, the swimwear is a little more conservative. Meaning the swimwear may look a bit plain. There aren’t currently any tartan or prints. This maybe a drawback to some. Unlike underwear swimwear is made to be seen. So you want to make a statement.  The bolder the better for some. However, that said this pair has some things I really love.

When I got to the pool I laid out in it for a bit. It was super comfortable and is very well made. If you are familiar with the underwear, it has an amazing pouch. The swimwear is built with the same pouch. It feels awesome for those who love a supportive pouch. Now the pouch can be a bit pouchy, meaning it will show off your goods. At the pool I was at that wasn’t an issue but other places may frown on this.

After a while I got in the pool and it felt amazing. After a bit of pool time I laid out again. I know the rough life I have! In and out of the water this pair just felt amazing. Sukrew really focused on the comfort factor of these. Unlike underwear if you get a bad pair of swimwear you can’t just take it off and freeball.

The Swim Trunk is made out of 80% Polyamide, 20% Elastane. The fabric is a nice choice for a pair of swim. This means it will conform to your body. The fabric was also pretty fast drying. A slow drying pair of swimwear is my biggest gripe. I hate it!

Overall they did a great job on the swim. I’m very glad they branched out into this world. This will be one of my favorite suits of this year. Also, one thing I forgot to mention, the swimwear comes with a matching pouch to put it in! If you pack you can put it in the pouch or if you’re at the beach/pool  your money or other items.

Pros:

  • Very fast drying
  • Great supportive pouch
  • Classic styling

Cons:

  • The pouch may show off too much for some and not be appropriate at all pools
  • Some may not like it’s just available in Solid colors right now and no prints

Ratings:

  • Daily Fit – 8
  • Sizing – 9
  • Materials – 9
  • Styling – 8
  • Daily Performance – 9
  • Overall – 8.6

QsVp8r3oA lot has happened since we last talked to Crochet Empire. They got funded on Kickstarter and has started making some amazing jocks. Andy the head Jock maker agreed to answer a few questions.

More brands are starting to use Kickstarter to get the funds to start their lines. How did the Kickstarter go for you guys?

Kickstarter went great. The campaign was funded within 24 hours and ended up being 208% funded.

After you launched the line has the jocks design changed any? If so what improvements did you make

One of the benefits of Kickstarter is I had a lot of opportunity to develop the shape of the pouch. I received feedback about some gaps in the fit and have made the pocket a little fuller. I think the shape is pretty right on now. I’ve tried a few different straps and have settled on to a comfortable waist band that’s not thick. I’m very happy with all the components.

The Crochet Empire jocks are so unique and different. How are you getting the word out about the jocks?

Right now most of the marketing is done through social media. There have been a couple blogs like Underwear News Briefs that have been very supportive and done some features.

The Jocks are handmade, which is rare in the world of men’s underwear. How do you keep up with demand?

I’ve recruited a very talented group of artisans who enthusiastically make pieces.

I have noticed a few designs such as Tardis from Doctor Who, Game of Thrones. Is there a geeky side we are seeing come out?

I’m a big fantasy nerd and one of the great things about this work is I can make one off designs. It seems like a lot of the people requesting custom orders are interested in the geekier side. So, it’s been a combination of things I like to make and what is being requested.

Jockstrap Wednesday has become a big thing on Twitter. Have you seen more of your jocks on guys because of this?

I haven’t been tagged in any posts if people are posting photos.

If you could get your jock on any celebrity or sports start who would be your dream guy to clothe?

I’m very excited that recently my jocks were worn by Jack Mackenroth and Seth Fornea. Jack’s picture in his jock is one of his most liked on Instagram.

If I had my dream, I’d love to have pictures of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp together in them. Woof. I wouldn’t be upset if one ended up on Chris Evans.

Many guys may see the jock and be hesitant about a crochet jock. They may think it maybe fragile or not comfortable to wear. what would you tell these guys to get them to try them?

I use a very thin, soft yarn called “sock yarn,” and only yarn that is machine washable. The pouches are very soft and breathe well. I think a lot of people think it’ll be like wrapping your winter scarf around your junk and it’ll be hot and and scratchy. The jocks are neither of those.

What are you planning of the future to take over the world of jocks?

I’m doing some reorganizing of lines and streamlining some things. I’m looking at events to attend and am hopefully attending MAL in DC in January. Everyone should keep an eye out for some really sexy stuff coming out in October.

We want to thank Andy for his time answering our questions. Find out more about them at the Crochet Empire website.

Garçon Model is doing something really interesting. They have model Peter Ward to video blogging about his life as a model in NYC. It’s an interesting look inside the world. This is the first video and we hope they have many more. In this video you get a brief intro on Peter and what it’s like to be a model. To see this go to the Garçon Model YouTube Channel.

This is the description: Meet Peter Ward, a Garçon Model in New York. Follow him on his journey to success in the modeling world & as he shares his daily life experience.

TOMMY JOHNTommy John is not a company we have done much with in the past. They approached me to give my thoughts on their new line. The new line is called “Second Skin Platinum” collection. Tommy John is founded on the principle of solving problems men have with clothing. They do this “By combining the latest in fabric technology with groundbreaking, innovative ideas on how to improve existing designs, Tommy John has become the brand the modern man depends on.”

I see all kinds of underwear brands all the time. They range from wild to mild and everything in between. Tommy John has a more classic feel about the new line. Meaning it’s more on the conservative side. This is not a bad thing. We have many readers who prefer this or have a time when this style of underwear is very much needed. So never discount a line for being on the conservative side.

They told me that in the past underwear was made for designed for sitting and standing. The new collection was “created a product that provides the highest level of functional comfort for every man in every situation.” Colors Tommy John used in this collection are blue, grey, and yellows.

Second Skin Platinum collection has a brief, trunk, boxer brief, square cut and boxer. The one thing I love is, yes they have conservative styles, but they use some great colors. The yellow print is my favorite. Of curse being a briefs guy, that is the one I gravitate towards. However, I would give the trunk or Square cut a try. The Boxer Brief looks interesting for the pouch and the tight legs.

The waist band is another feature I like. Being a big waistband person the classic black with simple yellow stripe. Tommy John on the left hip is very classic. I really like this waistband. It just pops and make the pair for me, a great waistband really makes a pair for me.

Overall this line is pretty cool to me. Its stylish, classic and has an amazing waistband. This collection just came out today! If you are interested in the line head over to the Tommy John website and see this and other collections out now!

26-08-15-1Have you ever wanted to see the magic that goes into an underwear shoot? If so the great people at Dead Good Undies live streamed their latest shoot. Don’t worry if you missed it, it’s now on YouTube! Granted it’s over 2 hours of footage, but it’s super fun to watch!

The part I like best is the first part when they didn’t realize they were live. Having done some live streaming things happen. It adds to the video for me to show they are real! Here is what they say about the live stream:

26-08-15-5

International underwear experts Deadgoodundies.com have clocked up another world first – their latest photoshoot has been streamed live on YouTube.

The footage at https://youtu.be/ih6m1lwAqs4 is attracting massive attention, not least because it stars former Mr Gay UK and Mr Gay World Stuart Hatton Jnr and Adonis Cabaret star Marshall Arkley.

DGU founder Adam Davies, who was behind (and sometimes in front of) the camera for the shoot, is delighted with the footage.

“It was great fun, very funny, and technically challenging!” he laughs. “The video has Stuart and Marshall wearing HOM and Bruno Banani spring 2016 designs, along with Ergowear’s best selling Suave enhancing underwear which is a very hot property at DGU. There are party hats, lots of joshing, a recipe for the perfect bacon sandwich, questions from the live audience and of course plenty of up close and personal examination of the guys’ briefs, trunks, boxer shorts, thongs and more.”

Adam promises to do another live stream in future ‘perhaps a little differently…’ and meantime the YouTube footage is clocking up views from all over the world.
