Neither of them had heard of the brand. One of them has way more underwear than I will ever have, so that surprised me he hadn’t heard of them. The other I directed him to the site. Both seem to like the brand.

I got to know the brand about a year ago. They contacted us about covering the brand (if I remember correctly!) and we have talked and promoted them a few times. They have a very unique style and make really fun underwear designs.

One pair I wanted to profile is the Athletic Cobra Trunk. You maybe surprised I chose a trunk but I love their designs. The ones I reviewed had a great pouch and fit awesome. This one looks very much the same as the other ones I reviewed.

At first look this may look like any ordinary run of the mill trunk. The front has a red panel with a white accent at the pouch. But, the panel is made out of Modal. Modal is so soft and feels amazing on the skin. More and more companies are using the material for its comfort. The back is made out of a black mesh (so not just your every day trunk!)

Speaking of the pouch, there is one in this pair. That’s one of my biggest gripes about trunks and boxer briefs, no pouch! Some of you out there like this but not me. The pouch has ample room for you and you won’t be out of place all day.

The last thing is the waistband. Its made with the “Blue Collar” branded waistband. On the back of the band there is a small Blue Collar logo on the back. It’s a nice touch I love. It just adds to the pair.

If you are interested in finding more go to the Blue Collar Underwear site for more pairs. The Athletic Cobra Trunk retails for $24.50

Ok guys, lets talk. We are still going through some of the data from the reader survey and we will be doing a lot more on that soon! (Sorry it’s taking a long time to tabulate and sort through the answers, there is a ton of info in it, and all good stuff!). In the model section you guys said you wanted a mix of real guys, up and coming models and professional models.

Many of our shoots we do, the swim guide and holiday guides, are using little known models. We love giving guys a break and showing some guys you may not have seen before! Plus many of them have been so much fun to work with! You guys have seen many of them more than once. Guys like Chandler, Michael and Nathan all are some of the amazing guys we have worked with over the years.

That being said we want to profile some of our readers and social media followers! There are a ton of you out there who love posting selfies in underwear on your Twitter and Instagram, but I think you should share it with a wider audience! We want to profile you guys on the site and share your love of underwear! If you are interested email us or hit us up on social media! Our email is info at underwearnewsbriefs.com

We will share on our blog, Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram and maybe Facebook (if it’s safe for facebook!). So share your undies with other underwear lovers!

Are you a big fan of  swimwear that shows off the body you have worked for? I’m not talking a skimpy. I’m talking about a pair that incorporates mesh and has an amazing pouch. As you can see by our picture featuring Michael, from our UNB Swim Guide this year. The new N2N Bodywear Nitro X is just such a suit!

N2N Bodywear has always been known for creating amazing pouches. Some of my favorite swimwear has been form them and the last pair that had, and the pouch was the main reason I loved it, was the Strata. The guys at N2N really know how to make amazing swimwear that shows off everything a guy has to offer.

The Nitro X is a pair of swimwear that has a solid pouch but a mostly solid back. Around the top and bottom of the back its mesh. The mesh extends always to the pouch in front. So the goods in the front are hidden but the back, well its mostly hidden. When I saw this in Vegas I knew it would be an instant hit with the boys. Its enough of a show off to be sexy without being too much.

A funny story about the pair was when we shot the guide. It was a pair that the guys kind of looked at strange. Granted most of our models, except for Nathan, in the shoot had never really worn a swim brief before, needless to say a pair as wild as this. I will say they were troopers and no one really complained about this or any pair.

The Nitro X comes in 5 colors. They are black, white, blue, orange and lime. The mesh on all the pairs is white. This makes it so that in day light it’s not too noticeable like a black mesh would be in sun light. But get it wet and that’s a different story. But, if you are wearing this pair on the beach you would have no problem showing off!

Its made of 83% nylon 17% spandex for the main body and the mesh is a 83% polyester 17% spandex blend. The pair has a draw string waist so no worries about it coming off in the water. As mentioned above it has the n-hance pouch N2N is known for in their designs. Lastly, N2N logo is on the back panel.

If you want a pair to show off this is the pair for you. You can find the Nitro X on the N2N Bodywear site for $36.00.

Its’ been a long time since we have reviewed Kiniki. So when they contacted us to do some new reviews I was like “cool.” Then when I checked out the site and saw all they had the “cool” turned into “Heck Yeah I do!” They have really come out with a lot more underwear and swimwear since I last was on their site. The prints and patterns are super fun and it was a hard to narrow what I wanted down to a few pairs.

The first pair I am reviewing is the Croft Micro Brief. There are several reasons I chose this pair. The first is it’s a bikini cut. It reminds me of some of the first pairs I got hooked on. Next was the print. Super fun and different from a lot I have seen. And lastly was the material. It reminded me of the nylon of the first bikinis I ever wore.

When I got the package and opened it. The first thing I noticed was the fabric. Its called a Poly Lycra. However, it def reminded me of nylon bikinis of days gone by. I slid them on and at first I was worried that they wouldn’t stretch and be too binding through out the day. After I pulled them on they were tight but not uncomfortable. The fabric and the design really made this pair feel amazing through out the day. As the day went on I forgot I was even wearing underwear. It was a pair I wanted to wear for two days! But I didn’t!

I wore this on a regular day. It wasn’t a super active day but some work and errands. My one issue that I thought I may have would be the pair is too hot. If you are familiar with nylon type fabric you know it may not breath and you can get uncomfortable fast. As the day went on I had no issues at all with breathability. The pair performed really well. I will say that this pair not only met my expectations but exceeded them.

The sizing of the brand is pretty good. This was an XL and fit me well, after my initial “I don’t think this will work” moment. Just double check the sizing chart before you order. Their sizing is pretty standard but always remember that if you’re on the upper end of a size go a size up to be safe!

The design of this pair I have to say I love. The bikini cut definitely reminds me of why I fell in love with underwear. It’s got the small sides of a bikini. The design is made with no seams in the front or back. This made for the lack of apouch, which was another concern but it didn’t factor in at all. The back is a ¾ design so you won’t get full coverage. So if you have a butt you may take that into account.

Pros:

  • A Bikini Cut
  • Super Fun print
  • Amazingly comfortable

Cons:

  • Not for guys who don’t like prints
  • ¾ back design may not fit some guys

EW0310 (4)I admit I love the pouch that ErgoWear underwear has developed. It was one of the first ergonomically designed pouches that I remember on the market. It is a pouch that is no short of awesome. Now, you can get that pouch in a pair of swimwear! The new line is called the Feel line!

The Feel is a swim brief cut made with a specially designed pouch. It’s similar to the underwear but will give you plenty of extra room up front. Perfect for the guy who needs it. It won’t bind to feel too tight on you! It’s actually a cool pouch design. One of the first I have seen in swimwear!

The line comes in five different colors. They are Blue, Turquoise, Red, Purple and Line. It is made out of 80% Polyamide and 20% Elastane  blend. Also features a draw string waist. It’s super fun and the colors are perfect for swimwear!

If you aren’t a fan of swim briefs they also have swimwear in a trunk and jammer. You can find this line at Candyman Fashion for $40.48

Blowpop Brief 1

Are you looking for a great new pair of underwear that is a little fun as well? If so then we have a pair for you. The new Pistol Pete Blow Pop Brief. The front has two racing stripes and the back, well you have to see the back! It has a small cut out just at the top!

The one thing I love about Pistol Pete is they have their own style of doing things! They always have and it shows in the underwear and swimwear they create. One of their signature features is the use of color. They have always used bright fun colors that just pop! The colors for the Blow Pop Brief are Lime, Royal, Aqua and Orange (pictured).

The back has a fun design. Its not just a cut out, its made to show off a bit of skin. Top that with the matching waistband. The waistband is in a color that matches the pair and has the Pistol Pete name on the front. It’s a great addition to the pair.

As you can see by the pics you can wear the pair anytime! You can wear it under a suit, jeans or casual day out. This would also be the perfect date night pair because you will want to show it off as much as you can.

XP8-15-FullI will admit I LOVE N2N swimwear. My last pair I had was the Stratum. It was a trunk cut with an amazing pouch. I loved it so much I have 2 pairs! So this year when I was in Vegas and saw the new collection, the one pair that caught my eye was the Camo Bold. I knew it was a pair I had to have!

The Camo Bold is a camo print with orange trim. It’s super sexy and just fun. The two color combinations go together very well. The pair is a swim brief cut but has a full back. I LOVE this pair. Unfortunately I wore it to a day when no one was at the pool. So I’ll have to wait to see the reaction later!

One of the best things about N2N swimwear is they pay attention to the pouch. I hate swimwear where the pouch is too small and you feel like you are being squeezed to death or feel like you are going to pop out. I think the entire collection has pouches guys of all sizes could wear.XP8-15-B

One reason I love their swimwear so much is its well made and feels great on. When I slid it on I knew I would love the fit as much as the look of the pair. I got to the pool and dropped my shorts and laid out for a bit. Although I got burnt (that’s another story) the pair felt great. I got in the pool some and swam and relaxed. Like all good swimwear it dries pretty fast and unlike board shorts or shorts. It is made out of 83% Nylon/ 17% Spandex Blend.

I only had one issue with the pair. That is the back. It was a bit big. I wasn’t sure if it was sizing or not enough junk in the trunk. I think it’s the latter. I didn’t have this issue with the Stratum. So if you have a butt you will fit in this pair prob better than I did! Outside of this issue, I love this pair so much.

Sizing is rarely an issue with N2N. They have been very consistent on their sizing over the years. I have yet to have any problems with a bad-sizing option. Whether it be swimwear or underwear. They have what we call traditional underwear sizing.

Pros:

  • Super fun design
  • Quick Drying
  • Great pouch

Cons:

  • Not enough junk in the trunk to fill out
  • Some guys may not print (not this one)

Ratings:

  • Daily Fit – 9
  • Sizing – 9
  • Styling – 10
  • Construction – 9
  • Daily Performance – 9
  • Overall – 9.2

N2N Bodywear furnished this pair for review. You can find the Camo Bold on the N2N Site for $34

Are you a fan of Big and Bold underwear? If you are the new Stadium range is perfect for you. aussieBum makes some of the most interesting and fun underwear on the market. I say this because they have diverse collections that are simple like the Stadium to the Billy Boy prints.

The one thing I really love about this pair is the thick waistband. So this isn’t for those who don’t like a thick and chunky band. IT also has the aussieBum name in the center. I know we have many readers who hate when the name isn’t centered!

Another thing the Stadium line has going for it is the fabric blend. It’s a 87% Micro Modal, 13% Elastane blend that makes it super soft! Modal is one of the softest fabrics you on the market today. It is also one of my favorites. The line comes in three colors Black, Navy and Red.

The Stadium range comes in the two styles they are known for, the brief and hipster. The brief retails for $17.55 and the hipster is $18.96 at the AussiBum site.
