Swimwear is one of those things that is different for every person. Some like board shorts, other like shorter turnks, while others like to show a little more skin. Vuthy has all those styles and a lot more this summer. This collection has really come into it’s own and is one of the strongest they have done to date. When I first saw the line I knew they had some great pairs that you guys will love for summr. No matter what style you like, Vuthy will have it and they have reintroduced the swim thong. They haven’t been too prevalent in men’s swimwear for a while and now. Vuthy has released a new line for this year. When I first saw this line, I really liked it. The new line has a very summer feel to it.
Summer is right around the corner and here are a few pairs you may like. We are going to profile all the styles in each color here!
The Turquoise/Black stripes show that they are doing a the same fabric in several styles. This one is in a longer board short, medium board short and a square cut. If you want to have a cover up and then wear the square cut, this line is perfect for that! The styles are 324 Medium Shorts, 321 Longer Board Short and 342 is the square cut
Board shorts are big with the Vuthy Collection This one has a very much Hawaiian inspired print. This is remnant of the older surf shorts to me. If there is a par that says summer these are them! This is style 320
Floral and tropical prints really set this line apart. The Hawaiian influence is felt in these two suits as well. They have a floral print but not too loud or crazy. The styles are 323 and 319-longer.
Speaking of Bright floral print! These definitely say summer in either Hawaii, South Beach or any tropical island you can find. They are available in a few styles including the above mentioned swim thong. To me this is one of the best pairs in the collection, the colors just pop and will look great on the beach. Styles are 331 thong, 318 bikini, 329 swim brief and 342 trunk.
In previous collections the square cut’s have played a big role in previous collections. This year they have even more geographic patterns. This one has the solid color the waist band that goes down the leg on the right side (your right if wearing). This style comes in way more colors and you can find the one that fits your mood. You can do the black/grey or maybe you want to wear something brighter such as the yellow/navy. They are simple in design but make a great statement on the beach. Styles include 332, 333, 339, 337, 338 and 336. Make sure you check all colors!
Swimwear should be just as fun as underwear. At times I think this should be even more so, because the world is going to see your swimwear, whereas only a select few seen your undies. Vuthy has released the dots line, the turquoise dots on a black background will be fun to wear on the beach this year! Style 330 is the thong and 325 is the swim brief.
As I have said the Hawaiian influence is strong in this line. If you want a floral print but not one like the orange/yellow print above, but you may like one more subdued. This one is light blue flowers on a darker background. The swim brief and trunk have different color backgrounds. Styles are 326 for swim brief and 335 for the square cut
Leopard can scare many guys off. Many don’t want to bring that attention on themselves or appear that they are a throw back to the ’70’s. Vuthy updates the leopard into a fun print that will get you really noticed on the beach. This is one pair that is not for the shy, but more for the bold who wants to get the attention at the beach or pool. Styles are 344 bikini, 355 swim thong and 350 for swim brief.
The last pair we are going to cover is the Camo line. Camo has been very big in the world of underwear and not many designers have carried it over to Swimwear. Vuthy is taking a risk with the camo. The square cut has the same design as the previous design we profiled but the main color is camo. The Bikini is one with same print but no extra colors. Both of these are really fun. Styles are 366 Square Cut and 356 for the Bikini.
These are only a few of the lines. The line was completely relaunched this season with new pairs. There are plenty of more bikinis, thongs and colors to see! Make sure you check them out at your favorite retailer.

Today’s Brief Distraction is another one from the Stablehand line from Modus Vivendi. This one features their new bodysuit. If you are a fan of really fun and creative undies definitely check this brand out!
Pikante is one of those companies that always likes to have fun with their undies. In years past have done camo prints, bright colors and metallic. They enjoy creating sexy and fun undies. This year is no different. The new line has something for the guy who likes to make a statement with his underwear!
Here is a highlight of what I saw in Vegas last month. These should be out now at retail stores online and brick & mortar stores. If it’s not out it should be released shortly!
Intimo Anatomic Brief PIK-8641 – Purple has been a big trend in men’s underwear this past year. Pikante keeps this trend going with this great brief with a matching purple waistband! It also has a matching boxer the Intimo Boxer PIK-8379. Description: Brief with elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand in contrasting color, this garment features a soft stretch fabric with stripes texture that gives elegance and modernism, comes in three colors. Composition: 93% Polyester, 7% Spandex.
V-Mesh Brief PIK-8642 – Mesh is another trend in the men’s underwear market. Pikante is using mesh to create fun undies. The V-Mesh brief is solid in the front but mesh in the back, as you can see in the pics. Available in Red, White and Black. Description: Brief with elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand, this garment is made of a soft stretch cotton that fits perfectly, the back has a sexy design with transparency. Sporty Jockstrap PIK-9227 – Sports mesh is one of the fabrics underwear designers are using more and more. Pikante is using this in a jockbrief. It’s available in Black, Grape, Blue and Yellow. The colors are the waistbands! Description: Jockstrap brief style, made in a soft stretch micro-mesh that allows body perspiration providing the necessary support, features contrasting color bias and elastic waistband embroidered with the brand. Biologic Boxer and Piping Brief PIK-8368 and PIK-8369 – This is a cut, in both styles, they have had in previous collection. However, the print is new. When you see it in person it’s an almost snake skin print . It’s a geographic print that almost mimics snake print. It’s very cool. Description: Briefs with anatomical cup, features a soft material with elegant texture and glossy finish that fits snugly to the body, with contrasting color bias around the entire garment, elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand. Composition: 100% Polyester.
Purpurata Brief and Boxer PIK-8640 and PIK-8369. The one thing you can’t see in this pair is they are see through. While its not blatantly so but if you are a fan of mesh you will love these. The two pairs will show off more then you see here! Description: Brief with anatomical cup, this garment is made of a soft elastic material with sheer stripes texture that adds a sensual and elegant twist, with elastic band at the waist for a perfect fit. Composition: Polyetser 91%, 9% Spandex.
Fluorescent Jumbo Brief PIK-8638 – We have said that Day Glow colors are going to be everywhere this year. Pikante does the Jumbo brief in the day glow colors. They updated this line to the new colors! Available in Orange, Coral and Green. Description: Brief with cup and back made ??of a soft elastic material in neon color that fits perfectly to the body with elastic bias in contrasting color, elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand. Composition: 83% Polyester, 17% Spandex.
Double Effect Jockstrap PIK-9226 – Jocks continue to be strong. So when Pikante puts out a new taken on a classic it’s welcome to see. This jock has the leg straps a little different. They are lower on the hips with a strap on the side to hole it in place. Available in Yellow, Red and Blue. Description: Jockstrap, cup made of an elastic material with glossy color, this piece features comfortable thin elastic bands around waist and legs that provide the necessary support. Composition: 92% Nylon, 8% Spandex.
Whip Thong PIK-8103 – The Whip thong is more of a cross between a bikini and thong. Made out of a metallic fabric. The design also has a ring on the sides. Available in Silver, Black and Red. Description: Thong, features a delicate elastic material with metallic finish that comes in three different colors, with metal rings on the sides that give a sensual touch to the garment. Composition: 93% Polyester, 7% Spandex.
Fluorescent G-string PIK-8207 – What would a collection be without some day glow thongs! This thong has the full pouch with the two straps going to a ring in the back. It’s available in Green, Coral and Orange. Description: Thong, frontal area made ??of a soft elastic material that comes in three bold colors, sides and back have multiple elastic straps that come together in the middle with a metal ring. Today’s Brief Distraction is one you may not have seen. It features Australian brand 2Wink. We have profiled them a few times and are a fun brand. This must be Australian week here on UNB
Underwear of the week should be very fun. This week the search didn’t take very long to find a great pair. That lucky pair is the aussieBum Billy Galaxy Brief. It is very retro in the print, deigns and colors used. aussieBum has always taken pride in making underwear fun. A prime example of this is on the podcast we did a few years ago with Sean Ashby said they created the Fisherman series because the model had a nice butt. aussieBum is a company that like fun and doesn’t always have to take itself seriously. 
The new Billy line has 9 retro style in each of the pairs. However, the pair we chose is the Billy Galaxy brief. The pair is very retro 80’s! That means the print of 8 bit video characters and the colors used will transport you back to the 70’s! You can see this in the picture to the right. It looks very Space Invaderish.

We continue our Magic coverage this time with PPU. This time PPU is using some new colors and a few new styles. PPU is a brand known for having fun and taking risks. This year they do that by using colors, cuts and interesting designs. The colors this year are ones from almost pastel tones to some really bright primary colors. It’s a fun range of colors and we bet there is a pair you’ll love! The cuts range form thongs to boxer briefs and everything in between. Where the interesting designs coming are the peekaboo cut outs and new waistbands!

Here are some of the highlights of the collection:
PPU 1303 Thong – This thong has some great new colors, design and new waistband. The colors on this are the lilac/coral, black/coral and white/sliver. The lilac is a new color to the PPU line and is set off nicely with the coral waistband. The cut out in the top shows off just a bit more skin then a regular thong and will make someone look twice. Lastly is the new branded waistband. It’s in two new colors Coral and Silver with PPU written across the side. Description: Brazilian thong, has a sensual design on the cup with a slit at the top, this area and back are made of a soft material with texture and elastic edges, for a good fit counts with a wide elastic at the waist embroidered with the brand. Composition: 83% Nylon, 17% Spandex.
PPU 1311 Brief. This brief has the same waistbands and colors as the thong above. However the fabric has a plaid design built in, you can barely see it in the picture. When you see it in person it will be look more detailed and will really stand out. Its subtle but a very nice detail! Description: Brief with wide elastic band around the waist for a good fit, made of a soft elastic material with checkered texture, has a modern design with full cup with elastic trim in contrasting color around the legs and under the cup area for support. Composition: 83% Nylon, 17% Spandex.
PPU 1313 Bust Buster Brief – Enhancing underwear is back at PPU. The Butt Buster brief has padding in the back. The padding isn’t too big so it will add just a bit more without being too noticeable. Available in Black/White, Red/Grey and Turquoise/Blue. Description: Brief with elastic band around the waist, this piece is designed to enhance the buttocks area and cup, because of its soft and elastic cotton material that generates a support in these areas, with elastic trims around the slits to create a sexy silhouette. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1307 Boxer with Pockets – When you think PPU you don’t initially thing Boxer Briefs. But, this collection has some with pockets. You maybe asking what do you do with underwear with pockets. This time we will say that is for you to determine! You can put many things in the pockets ranging from money to well… that is for you to imagine! Available in Grey/Turquoise, Blue/Black, White/Red and Black/White. Description: Boxer with wide elastic band at the waist for a good fit, garment made of a soft stretch cotton for comfort of the body, with cup and has pockets design in contrasting color color at the front sides. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1308 Jockstrap – PPU has always had really fun and interesting jocks. This one is one of the more conservative designs. It’s a more traditional jock with a smaller waistband, that looks more like a swimmer jock. It’s great under jeans or something casual. This jock is available in Blue/White and Grey/red. Description: Jockstrap with cup made in a stretch cotton with zigzag stitching that gives comfort to this area of the body, with soft elastic around the buttocks to provide support, and elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1317 Boxer – The colors come into play with this pair. The boxer is with a bright blue and red. It’s a traditional design with a waistband with PPU written in the same white. Its one of the more “conservative” pairs for PPU. Description: Boxer made of a soft stretch cotton with side cuts in two different colors, the cup and the bottom features a white cotton, with elastic band at the waist for a good fit to the body. Composition: 94% Cotton, 6% Spandex.
PPU 1310 Brief – No collection would be complete without a great brief. PPU does a take on the classic brief but puts their spin on it. They do this by the colors and waistbands. The pair has a solid waistband with the PPU brand in the same color. The pouch is framed by piping on each side of the pouch. The colors are Blue/White, Coral/Grey and Mint/Blue. Description: Low rise brief, made of a soft elastic material with texture that gives a modern twist, has wide elastic around the waist for a good fit and elastic trim in contrasting color around the legs and cup. Composition: 92.5% Nylon, 17.5% Spandex.
PPU Boxer 1322 – No PPU line would be complete without some mesh! The Boxer 1322 has an pouch with a peekaboo mesh panel in the pouch. It shows off some but not all. Its def not for the shy. The colors are White, Black and Mint. These colors are big in the collection this year. The fabric has a pattern of circles that gives it a texture. PPU Jokcstrap 1305 – Jocks have always been big in the PPU Line up. The jock mentioned above is the most conservative of the line, this is def not conservative. It’s a design with two cut outs at the top of the pouch where the waistband starts. In the back it has to wrings and a cross between a jock and thong back. If you see the middle pictures you can see how it shows off your assets. This is available in Blue, White and Black. PPU Underall 1315 – PPU is one known for doing creative and fun undies. This is called the Underall which is a cross between a boxer brief and overalls. It reminds me of a very European cute. Just available in red or black with the contrasting silver branded waistband. If you are a fan of something fun and out of the ordinary then check this pair out. PPU 1319 Side Mesh Boxer – Don’t let the name fool you, this has a lot more mesh then just on the side. The front has a solid Pouch and mesh on the sides and down the inner thighs. Then on the back the is almost solid mesh! It’s one that has maximum exposure but doesn’t expose too much. Available in black and white. Description; Boxer with elastic band at the waist, has a sensual design with mesh on the sides and back that reveals to these areas of the body, cup and legs features a soft elastic material with zigzag stitching in contrasting color. Composition: 93% Nylon, 7% Spandex.
This is just a highlight of the brand. There are plenty of more pairs released! Those include more thongs and mesh and some really X rated pairs. Modus Vivendi is not known for being plain or conservative. This Brief Distraction is proof of that, its part of the new Stablehand line. They always do something interesting and fun. While not for the everyday wear we could def see this at a fetish night or just to wear something new and fun!
Zylas has just relesed the new collection for Spring/Summer 2013. They have been on the underwear scene about a year now and started with some great and colorful boxer briefs. They have added more briefs and some really great colors. You won’t find pastels or any bright neon’s like other brands, but they focus mainly on more primary colors and traditional cuts. The cuts range from a brief to boxers that go below the knees.

Today’s Brief Distraction is from Underwear Nation. This is the pair they are featuring this month the Jor Paris Brief. You chould check them out and if you want a new pair of undies a month they are a great choice. They alternate brands and you can pick briefs or boxer briefs or maybe you want both!
The new undies are coming out as we speak. I again apologize for the delay but with the theft of the computer it threw me back a week. But we should have our coverage start up now. Candyman is the first line we will cover. If you aren’t familiar with the brand, they are a sexy and fun brand not afraid to put in zippers, sheer or bright colors. The past years saw underwear costumes, interesting designs and metallic fabrics.
With the exception of the costumes, there brand continues on with tradition. It is a brand not afraid to take risks and make underwear sexy and fun. If you’re shy you may not like but you should always step outside your underwear comfort box and try something new! If you do wear Candyman, boring is not one adjective you would use to describe them!
Here is the current line up for the Spring 2013 collection
Neon colors are one of the big trends in mens’ underwear, the 1980’s are back and in a big way. This is the Neon Thong (9679) and available in the three colors you see; Neon Pink, Orange and Green. Description: Brazilian Thong with wide elastic band at the waist for better fit, has a thin elastic band at the back, the cup has a sensual design with slit at the top, made of a soft elastic neon material with elastic trim up to the back.
Candyman is not afraid to do something different in undies. The Black/Red (9681) thongs is a prime example of that concept. Description: Brazilian thong with a modern and sensual design with braided straps on each side attached to the front and back which are made of a material with bright dots textured, has wide elastic band at the waist for a perfect fit.
Thongs have always been big with Candyman. They are always bright and have a very fun design. This is the Red Thong (9682). Description: Brazilian thong with cup made of a soft elastic material, design with a sensual and cute multiple elastics that goes around the sides, back and waist with small details of hearts around the entire garment.
As I stated earlier, if you’re a thong fan you will love the different types of thongs Canyman creates each year. This one is the 9683 Thong in Black/Blue and Black /Green. The Jock Suspenders 9686 is another of the Candyman line that is using Neon Colors. You will be seeing a lot more neon this season! Description: Jockstrap, cup and back made of a soft elastic material that comes in different colors, these pieces are joined with multiple thin comfortable elastic bands that pass through the shoulders giving the necessary support.
The Braid Thong 9687 is one that adds a mix of metallic and color. The waistband has silver, gold and the main color Black and/or Turquoise in it. Description: Thong, with a sensual, modern design, back and cup are made in a wide mesh with contrasting color elastic trims for a good fit, waist straps are braided in three different colors.
Jocks continue to be strong in the world of men’s underwear. Companies like Candyman are always innovating on the jock. The Jock Thong 9688 is one of those innovations. It has a pouch with the top open as you see and a jock back and thong strap down the middle. Available in Blue and Black. Description: Jockstrap thong with an ingenious design that is open at the top of the cup in line with elastics that goes around the buttocks, elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand, cup and back made of a soft elastic material.
Candyman is no stranger to having underwear boarder on fetishwear. This is the Jock with Suspenders 9689. The pair is made out ofa metallic fabric and can be worn with our without the straps. The colors are gold, turquoise and black. Description: Jockstrap with straps who graduate and can be removed for use without these, cup and back made of a soft elastic material that bind with thin elastics that go around the sides and buttocks, the whole garment has a metallic finish.
Jockbriefs were and are still big int he world of men’s underwear. The newest in the line is the Jock Boxer. The Jock Boxer 9690 however had the thong back as well. Available in white and black. Description: Jockstrap boxer with elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand with a modern metal buckle in the middle front, the cup has a sensual hole in the top, this garment is made of a soft elastic material that fits perfectly to the body.
Candyman also gives their take on Jocks. They put the really cool Candyman design and styling on all they put out. This is the Colors Jockstrap 9691. Description : Jockstrap with wide elastic band embroidered with a brand in different colors, comfortable cup made of a soft elastic material with contrasting color elastic bands that goes on the sides and around the buttocks.
Zippers have always been in the Candyman collections. This years pair not only has a zipper in the back and front but made out of a mesh material. It doesn’t leave much to the imagination. Available in white and black. Description: Brief, features a modern mesh with wide holes that fits the body, has a double zipper that goes hand from front to back with a metallic finish, has wide elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand.
You may remember this pair from a previous collection. The Zipper Brief 9693 has been updated with the Black and Neon Green and white. Description; Brief with elastic band at the waist, features a soft elastic material with glossy finish and zigzag stitching at the edges, has a double-sided zipper that goes from front to back in contrasting color for a fun look.
In the Candyman collection snaps are a relatively new addition. The Peekaboo Brief 9692 is one where the pouch snaps off! Available in gold and black. Description: Brief with elastic band at the waist, this piece has a modern design that reveals the front of the body, has snaps on the front to adjust this piece, this garment features a soft material with a glossy finish.
Candyman always does something really interesting every year. This year its the Brief With Interlocking Back 9695. The brief has a traditional front and an almost lace up back. Available in white and black. Description:Brief made of a soft elastic material, with contrasting color bias in metallic finish, this piece has an open back design with interlocking straps that adjust the garment, has elastic band at the waist embroidered with the brand.
Side Zipper Brief 9696 is an almost bikini cut with a working zipper on the side. The zipper has no function but to order but to expose more skin! Which is a good thing. Available in accenting blue and gold colors. Description: Low rise brief, has a modern design with lineal cuts in three different colors with metallic finish, with a side zipper that gives a modern twist, has elastic edges around the waist and legs for a good fit.
Candyman must always include some new mesh. This is the Mesh and Straps brief 9697. The straps kind of obscure the front view but everything is still visible. Available in Red, Black and White. Description: Brief with elastic band embroidered with the brand, this garment is made of a soft elastic mesh that fits snugly to the body, the cup has a modern design with cross strips.
We told you the 80’s were back and the Torn Brief 9698 is proof of that! This pair reminds me of something you would see in a male version of Flash Dance. The brief has cuts with the neon colors showing through. The colors available are orange and green. Description:
Mesh can be super sexy and doesn’t have to show everything off. The Studded Brief 9699 shows that concept. There is mesh around the sides and the top of the rear. The font has studs on the pouch. Sexy but you don’t show off everything! Mesh isn’t for briefs and thongs. Candyman believes you should have sexy undies not matter what style. The Mesh Boxer 99001 has a solid pouch and everything else is mesh. This would be an interesting pair to wear on a date! Available in Gold and Silver. For those who prefer trunks and still want a zipper the Side Zipper Boxer 99002 is a bright Metallic fabric with a zipper on the side that you can show off as much or as little as you want. Available in Black and Silver. Description: Low rise boxer, features a soft elastic material that conforms to the body with a glossy finish for a modern twist, the area of the cup has a mesh overlay, zipper on one side that reveals some areas of the body, with elastic edge around the waist and legs.
What about the guy who wants full coverage in the front but some fun in the back? Then you should check out the Back Mesh Boxer 99006. When y ou first look at it you think it’s a traditional boxer brief but when you turn around you leave nothing to the imagination. Available in three colors Blue, red and grey. Description: Boxer with elastic band at the waist for a good fit, with different textures design, the front is made ??of a soft elastic material in two colors on the cup and sides, the back is made of a mesh with medium holes that give a sexy touch the garment.
We aren’t done with mesh just yet. The Circular Mesh Boxer 99005. The red or Black boxer has a mesh section that comes down around the pouch and then wraps around the back. It’s sexy but doesn’t show off everything. It’s great for the guy who wants to have mesh but not give it all away. The last thing in the Candyman collection are singlets. They have been huge this past year and will continue to be so this week. The first one is the Neon 99007 Singlet. It’s a low cut singlet with neon on the legs! The second is the Zebra Singlet 99008, it has a very big Tarzan boy of the jungle vibe.
