It’s the last Underwear of the Week! That mean’s its Boxer Brief week. For this week, we decided to do something classic, but with a twist. This pair looks like your everyday ordinary boxer brief, but it’s made out of Modal. Modal is a great fabric that has great qualities when made into underwear. The first is it keeps moisture away from the body. The next is it feels super soft. No one likes rough underwear. It may looks simple but it is perfect for anytime of athletic activity you may do.

Calvin Klein is one of the very first designer underwear companies. They haven’t slowed down since they first hit the scene in the 80’s. They keep making great pairs like this boxer brief. Some of the reasons its our underwear of the month:

  • Made out soft micro modal
  • Has a soft microfiber logo waistband
  • Designed contrast color piping
  • Constructed with a contoured pouch
  • Available in Black, Blue and Red
  • 90% modal 10% lycra

You can find this at underwear retailers online and in retail stores across the country. It is listed on the Calvin Klein Website site for $26.

Baskit is famous for their comfort first underwear, their superb use of hi-tech fabrics and their heightened sense of style. Baskit Energy Jocks and JockBriefs include all those qualities and more and they’re now at Jockstrap Central.

Starting with the fabric, Baskit has used a stunningly soft 4 way stretch fabric (for fit and expansion where needed) designed to wick moisture while under the hottest of circumstances.

Energy Jock:

A traditional jock, both front and back with a contoured pouch with contrasting high-density overlock stitching mostly as a design element. The one inch wide leg straps are made of Baskit’s signature plushed elastic for support and comfort.

Energy JockBrief:

A perfect melding of a brief and jockstrap. While the front is like a typical brief, Contrasting high density overlock stitching not only creating a nice design element but also defining the actual contoured pouch of the garment. The back is essentially a brief fabric back with the ass cut out of it giving it the same great view you’d expect from a jockstrap.

Finally, the waistband of both the jock and jockbrief features a heavy duty soft and plushed 1 3/4 inch elastic with large repeating Baskit logo throughout.

Jockstrap Central has the jocks in black, riviera blue, super white and gold and the jockbriefs in black, super white and gold. Be sure to check out their stunningly hot model Santos at Jockstrap Central putting all seven styles through their paces

Sizing is the one thing we hear most about here at UNB. Nothing worse then finding the perfect pair of underwear getting it home and find out it doesn’t fit. This is a big problem. Its’, I would say, the biggest complaint in underwear today. In order to remedy this we want to give you some advice, that is generally true, in picking out the best pair.

Here are a few tips to make sure you get the best fit.

  • Geography – pay attention to where the underwear is made. Depending on that you can usually gauge if the pairs will run small.
    • Runs Smaller: South American (Columbia and Brazil), Central America, Asia (Japan and Indonesia)
    • Similar to US: Australia, European (but be careful), Canada
  • Online Reviews – Not all of the brands in the areas above run small. If you check our reviews on the major sites, including FreshPair and UnderGear. You can see how well they fit.
  • Sizing Guides – Even us brands run small. The best example is Rufskin. They only have small, medium and large and not in the typical sizes. Other brands do that as well. So you can have Mediums that range form 30 to 34 inches.
  • Ask – A friend, the company or us! We regularly field questions from readers and are glad to do so. You can also ask on Twitter, Facebook or anywhere. We may have to get back to you but we’ll answer your question!

This is a really quick and dirty guide on sizing. We will cover this a lot more in the next few weeks. We will be doing a massive update on our sizing chart as well. It’s one of the most visited pages here at UNB.
