I have been an underwear aficionado for many, many years. I have been lucky to try many brands that you normally don’t find in the United States. I feel these unknown brands should be brought to the attention of the underwear connoisseur and let them wear and judge for themselves.

I was introduced to a brand called DIM about 12 years ago when I was in Paris. I found them in a nice store near the hotel I was staying in when I was in Paris. The bikini briefs were so comfortable and stylish. They were great to wear for long periods of time, like a flight form Paris to Los Angeles. Dim also made a great underwear in the trunk style.

I know there are lots of great, smaller regional brands  out there that most people don’t know about.

If you have a favorite, not so well known brand, please let us know about it and we can search for it and give a try for ourselves.

I have never been a big fan of being cold.  So when winter rolls around I look forward to wearing my long compression leggings and tops and of coarse, the good old fashioned but sexy union suit.

I was fortunate enough to get a pair of 2(x)IST Tartan Cotton Union Suit. I have had several different union suits and onezees. Normally I prefer a nice synthetic material to cotton, so when I was given the 2(x)ist Tartan Cotton Union suit I was a bit hesitant. But I am always willing to try something new.

When I first put on the 2(x)IST union suit, I was surprised that the cotton did not stretch as I have found lots of other cotton underwear has in the past.  The 100% cotton construction did not stretch out and sag. The fact that is stayed firm and supported me pleased me. It was as if I was wearing a synthetic blend union suit.

Now I never wear the union suit out of my home. I prefer wearing them as lounge/ play wear. These did not disappoint. The color has not faded after several washes and wearing’s. They keep me warm and make me feel sexy and as an added bonus I have been told they look really sexy on me.

If I had that “someone” special I would get him a pair so we could cuddle together on the next cold night, watch a movie and see what happens.

I know you can find these and the 2(x)IST website and I recommend them on your next quiet, romantic night in at home with your special someone.

So with the New Year come New Years resolutions. One of mine, like millions of other people is to get into better shape. For me, part of the fun of exercising is getting workout clothing. There is such a huge selection now a days that the shopping has been fun.

Now one brand I have always liked has been Under Armour. Their Boxerjock has always proven to be great underwear but also they are great for working out in. They are supportive and they wick the moisture away. Their colors and patterns selections have really grown and I am loving all the choices they offer.

Another brand that I have just added to my workout collection is Nike. I never really noticed their workout underwear but when I was shopping and saw the Nike Compression underwear and ¾ length running pants. I have purchased some of the compression trunks and find them to be very comfy and supportive. Of course the sex appeal is important to me even though no one sees me in them, as my gym is in my home. Their color selection is nice. The waistband is wide with contrasting Nike on it.

As I keep working out I will continue to go shop for workout gear. Anytime you can have a hobby or resolution that gives the opportunity to go underwear shopping you know it’s a good thing. When I find great new workout gear I will post about it here on UNB.

Well, we have celebrated Halloween; Next up is Thanksgiving and then the biggest holiday of them all, Christmas…

I have always loved giving gifts, and I prefer to give gifts that I think is the best to give, and yes I am talking about underwear. My friends know how much I love underwear and study them. New materials, cuts and styles, and brands always catch my attention.

Anytime I can introduce something new to my friends I take great pleasure in doing so. I have been told I am great at selecting underwear that fits perfectly and provide ideal support and are also sexy.

I have always believed when you are passionate about something, you should share your knowledge and teach all who will listen. Over the years my friends have come to call on me for suggestions on all that’s new and exciting in the world of underwear.

I always enjoy watching my friends when I give them underwear. They always are excited and happy with what I gift to them. They know that the gifts are not a sexual advance but a kind gesture from one friend to another.

Later when my friends tell me how much they love their gifts, how great they look and feel on and how comfortable they are it truly makes me smile.

I think its great that we are at a point in time where giving underwear as a kind and thoughtful gift is acceptable. The stigma associated with underwear is going the way of the dinosaur.

So this Christmas, when you’re shopping for your friends, don’t hold back on that great pair of briefs, or trunks or boxers for all your friends. Think of how great it would be to unwrap a great pair from them.

Hello UNB readers. I hope everyone is wearing comfy undies that they love. I am excited that fall is just around the corner. For me, fall is great because the cool nights are on their way.

I am a lover of running pants, leggings, long johns or what ever name you prefer to call them. I find that wearing them on a chilly evening while watching the tv is cozy and in an odd way, very sexy. The compression of the material and the feel is relaxing and almost hypnotic. I am hoping this fall I will have that someone special I can introduce them to and cuddle with.

Another of my favorite fall activities is to go out for a hot chocolate and hit some of my favorite book stores and enjoy the crisp night air. Of course nder my jeans I am wearing a pair of long johns. The warmth of them along with me knowing what sexy surprise im wearing under my jeans makes for a fun outing.

I often wonder if any of the other guys are also wearing long johns and if so do they love them as much as I do. I have noticed this year more companies are coming out with great long johns that are sexy and stylish.

So if you have noticed I have not been writing as much as usual, its because I have been ill and been having to go to the Doctor and the hospital a lot.

As usual with medical visits you have to take your clothes off. Even when sick you should always wear nice underwear. Every time I went in I needed to drop my pants, and the nurses and the doctor noticed my underwear was always different. There was one nurse who I dealt with each visit and early on she mentioned how my underwear choices are very interesting. I thanked her and told her I collect underwear and like to wear fun, colorful and interesting underwear.

She said she has notice more guys are breaking away from the standard choices in underwear but I have been the only guy who would actually talk about it. As my visits continued she told me she always looked forward to seeing y choice of underwear. One day the surgeon said that my different underwear was like a rainbow of colors.

It felt great to get validation in my underwear choice, bust I had wished it wasn’t due to illness. The nurses said they will miss my humor and my chats about underwear. I told them that I hope more men will start spicing up their underwear.

So always remember to wear not only clean underwear but wear fun underwear cause you really never know who will see and it might cheer them up. On a side note I got an all clear (finally) from the Doctors.

Well it’s that time of year, Gay Pride in almost every major city in the U.S.A. And also a great chance to see new underwear vendors and suppliers and the opportunity to get some great deals on underwear.

My first Pride of the year was the Long Beach Gay pride festival in Long Beach, California. The highlight of my day was going to the N2N booth and getting some great underwear, loungewear, singlets and running pants for amazing deals. As I was shopping I turned and there was Andrew, the owner, smiling and talking to people and being just an awesome guy.

I always enjoy meeting underwear designers and Andrew (N2N Bodywear) is one of the sweetest. He gives great hugs, (I’m a hugger) and will always make time to visit with people.

Also at Long Beach pride was Go Softwear. The people working the booth were super friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. They hade a huge selection at great prices. I stocked up on some of my favorite briefs while I was there.

Next was West Hollywood’s gay pride. I always love to learn about new companies and a new one to me was Interview. They have fun and sexy briefs and trunks and the prices were great. I of course chatted with them about underwear and found them to be informative and very friendly.

I am not sure what other prides I will attend but you can bet I will be looking for the underwear.

P.S. Gay pride isn’t just for gay people, a lot of straight people go for the fun that is Pride.

People who know I collect underwear ask me if I keep it a secret, and the answer is no, I don’t. I don’t keep things from people and any time I can talk to someone about underwear I do.

I have often talked to strangers at the store while they are shopping and often look confused and I offer my opinion. Most of the time the guy is thankful for my opinion and only a few have ever walked away freaked out lol.

I have never understood why it’s such a silly taboo to talk about underwear. I mean, if I have a pair of shoes or jeans I like I will tell people how comfortable they are or how long wearing they are. So why not underwear?

I have even been teaching a couple of my straight friends about good underwear. I will be reporting on that in more detail later. It’s nice that they will listen to my suggestions for comfort and style.

Even my mother knows of my collection. She laughs at my collection because her thing is socks. She has almost as many pair of socks as I have underwear. She gets the idea of feeling special when wearing a special pair.
