Men’s Underwear

JOR has always been a company we here at UNB have loved over the years. They create some of the brightest colors and best prints in underwear. We got a chance to ask them some new questions about the new line.

Can you tell us what was the inspiration for the first collection of 2017?

MADE IN COLOMBIA, is based on my Country Colombia. I want the people knows Colombia, its main touristic places, its industry, its people… COLOMBIA, a paradise of people, colors, and tastes, come and discover it! Additionally to the main theme “MADE IN COLOMBIA”, JOR proposes for this summer it’s OLD NAVY, colors such as Navy and Red, or a new interpretation of the concept, with Pastel Colors like Mint or Light blue.

In what ways did Columbia inspire the new line? Did it go beyond the prints to the actual styling?

We used pictures of the Historic city (Cartagena), beautiful beaches (San Andres), wild deserts (Tatacoa Desert), tropical jungles (Amazonia and Choco), coffee area (Salento) and innovative and industrial city (Medellin), which are part of the diversity of my country.

You are known for doing some amazing prints (geometric and photos), where do you find/create the great prints?

Every collection, my design team and me, propose a topic, and we developed the prints, or we customize prints that are made, giving them the identity of the collection and our brand.

Tanks are a big part of the prints you do, why are they important to your collection?

Tanks are the complement for underwear or our Activewear line. They allow us to show the prints in a broader way.

Are prints more popular in underwear or Swimwear? or are they equal?

In JOR, usually we developed the theme of the collection for both lines, Underwear, and Swimwear, but the sale of Swimwear is more limited in the Fall-Winter season, so, you will find a little more of printed references on our Underwear.

There are quite a few swim thongs in the new collection. Do you think that the swim thong is on the rise in Columbia and the USA?

Swim thong is a new style proposed in JOR for the international market, USA and Europe mainly. Colombia is more conservative country. We felt that international market needed a brand that offers this kind of swimwear for the summer season. We love the different!

The new collection also has more bikinis (both in swimwear and underwear), why did you include a smaller brief cut in this collection?

Smaller cuts are well received by our customers. A sexy and comfortable touch!

For those who want more shorts, you make Arrecife Beachwear. Can you tell us why you created the line and what it consists of?

Arrecife is the beginning of our beach line. At the moment we offer shorts, tanks & t-shirts, and caps, but, we hope to offer other products like towels, bags, and why not, sandals.

Color plays a big part in Underwear, JOR has always produced some great colors (from pastels to primary colors). How do you choose what colors you will use each season?

Our proposal is always the match of colors, that vibrate with each other, for to transmit its energy to those who wear our garments. JOR proposes a new interpretation of traditional concepts, playing with colors and taking risks with that… JOR, THE POP BRAND FOR COLOR LOVERS!

JOR has entered workout wear with the leggings, shorts and more, What has been the JOR’s fan reaction to the line?

Proper matching is part of creating differentiating looks. JOR gives to our fans, several options to create fun and comfortable outfits for their workout moments! The fashion and Color are now present in the gym!

What makes JOR different from other brands on the market?

Definitely, the Color and the Prints are our labels as a brand. JOR has Fun and Colorful Designs for our customers.

When someone who’s never bought JOR, what advice would you give them?

I advise them to take risks and get out of the traditional. They can start by wearing garments that have small touches of color. In JOR, the color is not only present in the prints, we have a big range of references with small color touches like waistbands or strips. The Fun, Color and Comfort, await you at JOR

aussieBum Seamless.Tech 2.4 Brief and Boxer BriefAre you an athlete, workout fan, or active guy? Do you like performance underwear? Take a look at aussieBum’s Seamless.Tech 2.4 brief and boxer brief (hipster). These should be a good choice for those rigorous activities. This is how aussieBum describes their Seamless.Tech 2.4 line.

“aussieBum uses advanced seam-free technology to create a garment of unsurpassed comfort, with no waistband for a truly lightweight fit. With four way stretch and support just where you need it, this could be the most comfortable pair of performance undies you ever own.”

With seamfree there is no seams to dig into your skin or rubbing points while doing your activity. The underwear is a blend of 87% nylon, 10% elastane, and 3% polyester. Both the brief and boxer brief are available in three color options. The waistband is represented with a top accent stripe and two lower stripes. Then between the stripes is the aussieBum name. You can choose from navy or black that has gray stripes and aussieBum name on it. Then there is the white pair that has red stripes and aussieBum name.

Both the brief and boxer brief are available in size small to extra large. They noted the following about the sizing. “Some minor size variances may occur between garments due to the knitting technique used to create a seamless product. This does not constitute a manufacturing defect.” These are to be gentle machine washed cold and hung to dry. These briefs and boxer briefs are not made in Australia like most of ausieBum’s products. They were designed and developed in Australia, but made in China.

Are your current briefs or boxer briefs not cutting it? Then maybe it is time to try something new. Step up your game with a pair of Seamless.Tech 2.4 underwear from aussieBum.

What would a line of N2N Bodywear be without spandex gear? I say it would not be a complete line. Spandex gear is one thing we have come to expect in the form of existing lines and new ones. One of the “classic” lines that have become synonymous with spandex is the Galaxy line. The Galaxy line is one focusing on athletic endeavors. Meaning it’s one that you can wear to the gym or working out. Not to be confused with some of their more erotic lines.

The main pair I love best in this collection is the Galaxy 2.0 singlet. Looking through my drawers a few months back and I have about 7-8 singlets from N2N. They create some of the most comfortable singlets on the market. No matter which style you can’t go wrong. Are you maybe asking where can you wear it? Well, you can wear it running, to the gym and play tennis. It can be worn as a bodysuit. However, if you’re bold enough you can wear them without anything over them. Available in Black, White, and Grey.

BRAND: N2N Bodywear
PAIR: Galaxy 2.0 Singlet
COLORS: Black, white or gray
FABRIC:  83% nylon 17% spandex
SIZES: X-small – X-Large
COST: $46.00
The other pair in the Galaxy 2.0 collection are the runners. Runners are becoming more and more popular. They are perfect to wear in colder weather. Some of you may be familiar with some of the more erotic pairs that N2N sells. They have lower cut and mesh inserts. These are like the singlet above. It’s very gym or running appropriate.

PAIR: Galaxy 2.0 Runners
COLORS: Black, white or gray
FABRIC: 83% nylon 17% spandex
SIZES: X-Small – X-Large
COST: $40.00
We will have a lot more of the new collection throughout the year. We can’t wait to see what N2N Bodywear releases this year.

We recently talked to Andrew Christian Model, Jacob Ford. Now we get the chance to talk to Austin Waite. Here are a few of the questions we got to ask Austin

Great to talk to you, Austin. So tell us how you came about modeling and specifically working with Andrew Christian?

I started modeling for the first time after I had met a photographer while out and about. We took some shots which led to me modeling for Grindr. I was also working as a gogo dancer at the time. The club I was at posted a photo of me to their Instagram. Andrew Christian stumbled upon it and contacted the club’s promoter to ask me to come in for a test shoot!

How long have you been working for Andrew Christian as a model? Which of the shoots have you done have been the most fun to shoot?

I’ve been signed with AC for just over a year now. My favorite shoot so far was for the “Massive” collection. They haven’t released the video yet, so definitely keep an eye out. The creative directing for the shoot was another level — it’s different than anything I’ve ever done before. It was challenging, but the final outcome was worth it.

We recently interviewed Jacob Ford, he told us about the picture of him naked standing in front of you, from Sex = Power = Freedom, was the first day you met. It appears you guys have great chemistry together. How did that day go? Can we expect to see you two together in a shoot soon?

Hahaha yeah that was the first day I met Jacob. He’s very easy to work with, so it wasn’t uncomfortable at all! He had a professional attitude that made the whole shoot a lot easier. I hope we shoot together again soon, but Andrew likes to keep people guessing, so I’m not sure!

Andrew Christian has some great models. Which of the AC models have you not worked with that you would love the chance to do a shoot with?

We have a lot of great guys, and I’ve gotten to work with almost all of them because of Sex=Power=Freedom. We just signed three new trophy boys, though, and I’m looking forward to shooting with them. Especially Nick Mascardo, who just won Andrew’s Trophy Boy Contest.

Are there any new shoots or videos coming up for you on the AC site?

The “Massive” shoot is coming soon and it’s dope. Watch for it. There are also photos of me and the guys on the Sex=Power=Freedom book tour. Definitely check out the AC blog for those, too.

Speaking of Sex = Power = Freedom, how did Andrew pitch the idea to you? Were there any hesitations in participating, or were you all for doing it? Especially the possibility of getting naked in front of other models.

I was on board as soon as Andrew approached me with the book idea. What really hooked me, though, was that he wanted to follow in Madonna’s footsteps with her book “Sex”. I was sold after that. I was hesitant about being completely naked – I had always thought about posing naked in the past, but it was never really my brand.

What does Sex = Power = Freedom mean to you?

To me, Sex=Power=Freedom means to love freely. Sex is a big insecurity for many people. Once I had the power to exploit myself, I figured it would help push others to accept the art and beauty of sex. I hope to empower people so they too can love freely.

Being an underwear model in print and video, you work out a good bit. What is your weekly workout routine and diet? What is your biggest challenge in your fitness routine?

My fitness routine is very personal. It changes from week to week, so I really don’t know what I’m doing until I get to the gym that day. I stretch and warm up for about 30 minutes, but I’m there every day. I eat an hour before a workout and then try to eat a meal or large snack every 2 hours. I’m skinny so I have to keep eating, which is my biggest challenge. My metabolism is through the roof which you would think means I can eat anything. I can, but I see bigger improvements when I eat what my body needs – not what it wants.

Since we are an underwear blog, we have to ask. Are you a fan of underwear before joining AC? Why or why not?

Its funny being an underwear model and not being a fan of underwear! I love the AC line because it’s always changing and adds personality. Growing up, though, I played a lot of sports like gymnastics, baseball, basketball, football. I would always have to wear tight uniforms all the time, so when I’m not doing anything special I like to free ball.

Now that you have worn virtually every style, what is the composition of your underwear drawer? (percentages of briefs, boxer briefs, thongs, jocks). Which of these styles is your everyday underwear?

I have an entire dresser dedicated to my underwear collection. It’s mostly boxer briefs or jocks for when I lift or walk around at home. I have a roommate so I shouldn’t be naked hahaha. Jocks are definitely my favorite to wear.

And we can’t let it go by without having to ask what is your favorite pair of AC underwear you own?

My favorite is actually the Black Collection Riviera Swim Shorts. I can wear them around the house or by the pool. They look like boxer shorts and they’re really versatile.

Our readers know you as Austin the AC Underwear model, but what do you do in your downtime? What are your passions outside of modeling?

I’m getting back into painting. I went to college for it and I don’t want to lose that talent. I will also lock myself down and watch movies or TV shows all day long. It’s bad, but they’re fun to study. I want to tackle acting next, so I’m focusing on that.

What is one thing that may surprise our readers about you?

I’ve had 8 piercings in my life so far. One for each sibling I have!. Not for that reason, but yes, 8 piercings and 8 siblings.

Xtremen is known for its amazing collection of boxer briefs. They have mesh, prints, colors, long, short boxer briefs. You name it they have it in boxer briefs. If you are a briefs fan you may not have given them a second look over the years. They only had a sparse selection of briefs. The new collection for Spring 2018 will make brief lovers take a look. They have some new designs, including a new bikini brief that may turn some of your heads.

The 91018 Brief gives you a brief to show off in. The brief is made of mesh, except the lower pouch, which is a solid material. It gives the person you are wearing it for a bit of a show! It’s super sexy for those big mesh fans out there.

PAIR: Xtremen 91018 Brief
COLORS: Red, Pink, Green, or black
FABRIC: 80% Nylon 10% Polyester 10% Spandex
SIZES: Small – X-Large

Maybe that much mesh isn’t your thing. You want to leave a little more to the imagination and have a bit smaller cut on the side. If that is you the 91017 Briefs has more of a bikinish cut with mesh around the top of the hip and leg openings. These I really like and think would be great for a date night our or in.

PAIR: Xtremen 91017 Briefs
COLORS: White, blue, or black
FABRIC: 80% Nylon 10% Polyester 10% Spandex
SIZES: Small – X-large

Ok, maybe the first was too much mesh and the second was too little mesh. You want to show off a bit more without giving all the goods away. The 91016 Briefs has mesh sides that attach to the front of the pouch and go about 1/4 around the back. It’s super fun.

Or perhaps you don’t want a mesh but more of a bikini cut? No problem, they have a pair just for you. It has a minimal waistband (which all bikinis should have), not too small sides and a full back. Made with black trim around the waistband, legs and pouch.

These briefs are pretty affordable at being under $20 for all of them. Some of them are in the low 10’s. I would say if you’re a briefs fan to give them a look over and try them out! Find all these at Candyman Fashion website.

Clever is out with a new collection. It’s just as you would expect, but with a few new wild pairs. One of the pairs that I wanted to profile is the Waves brief and boxer brief. Prints are something that Clever Moda has been known for doing. They have had some really amazing prints and continue to please print lovers with new collections.

Waves are blue and white print. It mimics just what the name implies, waves. preferer the brief print over the trunk. The brief has a wave that goes across the back. The boxer brief has a more plain print across the back. If you are one who loves prints but not over the top, the boxer briefs maybe for you.

Another nice touch is that the waistband is a simple Clever. The mix of the simple band with the print is a great touch. I think a printed or patterned waistband would be too much for the pair. It wouldn’t have the same pop with a blue waistband as it does with this one. Yes, this is one of the few times you’ll read me saying a plain waistband is better.

As mentioned above, Clever makes the same pairs in both boxer briefs and briefs. Some brands will make completely different lines in briefs and boxer briefs. Nothing worse than finding a pair you like only to learn that it’s not made in your preferred style. Both pairs are made out of Polyester 93% Spandex 7%. Making it fit great and still have some movement

We will bring you a lot more of the new Clever soon. It’s the season of new undies and we are going to cover them more in depth. So stay tuned to more undies soon.

Daniel Alexander Trip To Explore Slip Bikini DAI015Are you a string bikini or tanga lover? Then take a look at this two toned pouch bikini from Daniel Alexander. These bikinis are not full backs. They’re more around a half back. My experience with a majority of half backs I’ve tried is they do not stay in place. They’ll work their way into a wedgie. I wanted you to be aware of that in case you have not tried a half back yet.

The Trip To Explore Slip Bikini features a two toned pouch. The rear of the bikini is one solid color. The color of the waistband and piping matches the rear color. The bikini is available in 3 color choices. Your first option is Turquoise/Navy, which are the two colors of the pouch. The back, waistband, and piping are all turquoise. Next up is Red/White. Again those are the pouch colors with the back, waistband, and piping done in red. Your final option is Grey/Royal Blue. The back, waistband, and piping of these are all grey. These are some nice basic color combos to give your underwear a little variety and get you away from a plain solid color.

The bikini fabric is a blend of 85% nylon and 15% spandex. This blend is similar to a swimwear fabric. My experience with the brand is the fabric is thinner than what most swimwear is made out of, which is how it should be for underwear. It’s available in size small to extra large. The right panel of the pouch has the Daniel Alexander logo on it. This bikini is what I consider a true tanga. It has the string sides and less than a full back, which is a tanga to me. Show off that tushie a little with this half back Trip To Explore Slip Bikini from Daniel Alexander.

POP goes the… Underwear in this post. Jack Adams has released another new line called Pop. I haven’t heard from them what makes this POP but I would assume the color would be the main reason. There are some darker colors (cement and black) but the bright colors really POP. One thing I love about underwear is the ability to wear whatever color you want and no one is the wiser.

Another thing I love about Jack Adams is their waistbands. They are always using creative and fun waistbands. This pair has just that a great waistband. The two color band that either matches or compliments the color. Then there is a small accent band at the bottom. I really love this band. If you are a fan of waistbands, I’m sure you will too. If you’re not a fan…. in the words of Jeff Probts from Survivor “I got nothing for you”

In the last few years Jack Adams has really matured as a brand. They are doing a lot more with colors and prints. They have really entered the fashion underwear market. The last two collections have been pretty spectacular. I expect to keep seeing more from them each year. One of these days we are going to get to sit down and do a proper interview.

The fabric in these are 95% Cotton and 5% Elastane. Their description is “Ultra-soft cotton offers excellent comfort and fit.” This line has a brief and trunk. Each is available in the same colors as listed below. We will have more about Jack Adams soon. We will cover their swimwear as well!

BRAND: Jack Adams
PAIR:  Pop Brief and Trunk
COLORS: Cement, Orange, Yellow, Red, Black or Surf

For the last few years we have created the “Swim Brief Challenge.” The purpose of the challenge is to get more guys to wear swim briefs at the beach and pool. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight or bi. It matters you want to wear something amazing out and about. I have heard from many straight guys who really want to rock the swim brief. Due to family, society and more, they do shorts or even worse board shorts.

This year we will be bringing back “Swimwear Sunday.” Where we will profile a pair of swimwear each Sunday. The vast majority of them will be briefs. We occasionally will share shorts but never board shorts! This feature will start the first weekend in April and continue till the end of August.

We want to know if you take the challenge this year. Many of our readers, myself included, have worn them on the beach before. But this is for the guys who are man enough to put on the brief and say “I love swim briefs and damn it I don’t care who knows!” The more guys willing to do this the more guys will say “Fuck it, let’s rock the briefs.

If you take the challenge let us know! We want to hear where you wore them. Was it swim brief friendly? How you felt wearing them. Were there others wearing briefs or was it just you? After your experience why other guys would wear them. You can email us or reach out on social!

There is one other area we are going to include. Swim Thongs! We have a lot of you talking about swim thongs. Some of you already wear briefs and want to take swimwear to the next level. And there are some of you who love thongs so much you want to skip over the briefs all together and go with you style of choice. No matter which you wear, we want to hear from you!

Lastly, we will be sharing posts of guys wearing them over the summer. Those of us on the staff who have worn them and some of our readers. So stay tuned.
