Hi UNB fans, you might not have seen me around these parts. I’m a newly recruited straight guy and I go by Undies Rock simply because they do!  I currently reside in LA, and I enjoy playing music and spending time with my girlfriend and beast-cat.  We often refer to her (soft, domestic, house-cat).  As a new writer, it is my goal to provide you with the most accurate reviews. Keep you up to date on coolest undies on the market, and maybe make you laugh (ok, grin) on the way.  I am looking forward to joining the UNB team and please follow me on Instagram @undies_rock where I’ll also post briefs (pun intended) about my reviews as well as all the cool undies I dig.  Here is a stab at my first review:

As an underwear fanatic it is always the hardest to choose a favorite pair of underwear because your taste is constantly evolving. You know somewhere out there, there is another pair that is going to steal the hot seat as your favorite. I say this because most recently I have fallen in love with JM Skinz thongs.  Never did I imagine I would be raving about how awesome a thong is, but that was before I tried a JM Skinz thong.

I have known about the JM Skinz thong for at least a couple of years, but I never pulled the trigger on them because there weren’t enough reviews to mitigate the risk of buying another dud pair.  As fate would have it, my girlfriend bought me two pairs of JM Natura thongs for our August monthly underwear exchange.  Which blew my mind, and I must admit that I was a little bummed that I hadn’t given them a chance earlier.  Since the Natura line was such a success, I thought I would try the Skinz line. Which is currently my favorite pair.  I love the simple classic thong design as well as the thin encased elastic waistband design (as I am not huge fan of thick branded waistbands).  But what really struck me about this thong is how incredibly comfortable they are.  I can easily go all day with these thongs.  For the most part I don’t even notice I am wearing them. They transition seamlessly from lounge, to work, to fitness.

I currently own a majority of the solid colored Skinz thongs, as well as a few plaid patterns.  The color options aren’t the most flattering or creative. I have come to appreciate the standard color pallet they offer which meshes well with everyday use.  JM is also one of the few brands I prefer to buy directly from their website (which they opened last year) because of the occasional deals they have (free shipping, discounts, 3-packs, etc.). You can also find them on mensunderwearstore.com.  The 86% polyester and 14% spandex microfiber fabric is incredibly smooth and soft. It doesn’t irritate, and has the right amount of give and support.  I have also washed my pair numerous times, and they have great shape retention.  The sizing is fairly accurate; I have a 34 inch waist, so I ordered a medium (32-34”) which fits perfectly.  I own 10 pairs and the quality control is spot on, so you can expect continuity in sizing.  One thing I will mention is that their Natura line tends to stretch out a little more than the Skinz, so I order a small.  The thong strap is 7/8” thick at its thinnest point, which literally disappears from your radar.

As I mentioned previously, I am not particularly blown away by the current color options, but I am content.  I am also not a huge fan of the center seam in the crotch.  Though this falls under the “nice to have category”, seamless fronts look the best to me which is a requirement for perfection.  Other than these two nit-picky cosmetic draw backs, this pair is a standout in my collection. If you are curious, I say go ahead and take the plunge because I assure you these JM thongs will not disappoint.

For those thong dudes out there, this pair is a definite must.

Pros:

If you know me, you know that I love trying new brands and styles of underwear. I am pretty open minded and will always try something at least once. When I found out that I was getting a pair of Nukleus briefs to review (furnished by Underwear Concept) I was ecstatic. Nukleus is one of the companies that are not out to make a quick buck or get famous from producing undies. They pride themselves on one simple though. “To create everyday solutions for amazing people – our customers.” When I read this on their website, I though, WOW here is a company that really gets their customers. On top of having a great branding strategy (sorry the marketing major got the best of me their) they also create undies “Using innovative and sustainable production methods. we make underwear and basics from eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, Lenzing Tencel and organic bamboo.” Which I find very awesome! Undies for the betterment of the planet, sign me up!

I had the opportunity to review the Nukleus Nicobar Minis R brief, in a size medium. These undies look amazing and are super comfortable. The green color scheme is very earthy and I think is a great representation of their brand. These undies are made from 95% organic bamboo and 5% spandex. If you have never worn anything made with bamboo fiber you are missing out. This fabric is amazing. It is very light weight but durable and the spandex makes it very stretchy so these undies move with you all day. The construction is very traditional when it comes to a brief. The legs are not cut to high and the pouch is very roomy with and they have plenty of coverage around the back. I wear a 32 inch waist and the mediums fit perfect.

I really like the waistband as well.  It is a two-tone elastic logo waistband with a very soft feel to the inside. I love wearing these for just about any occasion. I have worn them to work as well as to the gym and have never had any issue with them. The bamboo offers a nice organic anti-microbial element which makes these a great pair of gym undies.

PROS:

·       Great Company with great values

·       The fabric is amazing and encourage everyone to research and try organic bamboo

·       Comfortable waistband and construction that moves with you all day.

CONS:

·       I love the color but wish their was a little more excitement to it. They are pretty plain.

This pair was furnished for review by Nukleus. These come in an assortment of green colors and can be found through the Underwear Concept store  for $6.99.

londonbr_grandeKen Wroy is a very interesting company. The last pair I reviewed was a trunk that I actually liked. The fit of the brand was pretty good. Now they have furnished us the London Brief to review. It’s part of their new Great Skyline collection. The Great Skyline collection is a take on the NYC print they had but now used the skylines of other cities. It’s a really cool line. I was really looking forward to trying it.

The first thing I noticed was the fabric. Most of the other pairs I have seen from Ken Wroy have been cotton. This is a 89% Polyester/11% Spandex. It felt great when I took it out of the box. Oh, before I forget the box is pretty awesome. It comes in this travel box and is super fun. Its not for those who want to be discreet! Everyone will know you are getting underwear! (see the picture). Back to the pair! The gold waistband really works with this pair. It sets off the print nicely and tops the pair just perfect. The red city print in the London pair is my favorite. But all the prints are pretty awesome.

I wore the pair to a party. I felt this pair deserved some fun night. I really didn’t dress up the theme was funky t-shirts. The pair felt just as great on as it did when I took it out of the box. The spandex in the blend made it stretch and fit great. This pair really surprised me how well I thought I would like. The design was amazing but the fit was very good as well. I have no real complaints with this pair in wearing. Other than I want the entire collection of cities now!

The sizing was pretty spot on. The XL I received said it was for 37-39. I thought when I took them out they maybe a bit tight as I am a bit bigger than the size. However, this was not the case it fit amazing and the fabric still held it’s form and shape. The sizing should match their guide pretty well.

PROS:

  • Amazing fun design of City Scapes
  • Great fabric that moves with you
  • Gold waistband is a great touch

CONS:

  • If you’re not a fan of bright prints you may not like this
  • The waistband maybe over the top for some of you

MEBR_Side__36426.1448286736.1280.1280There is a new pouch on the block and it’s made by WildmanT. It’s called the Big Boy Pouch! The name is quite appropriate for the collection. I received the Big Boy Pouch Brief to review. It was on the top of my list this year to get and try. I am a huge lover of great pouches. When WIldmanT agreed to send me one I was super psyched!

The pair is made out of a sports mesh type material. Right now it’s only available in black. This makes it slightly see through but not over the top. When I went to put on the pair is like my brain slammed on the brakes. The pouch sort of looked like one of those where you stick your junk through it and it enhances. So my excitement went to “oh man.” But being the trooper I put them on. And WOW. The elastic around the pouch wasn’t there to super enhance your pouch. It was made to give some great support.

The pouch just felt amazing. It holds everything in one place and while yeah it probably has some enhancing qualities its made for comfort. I don’t know how Tim at WildmanT made this but WOW. My initial impression in no way lived up to the reality. He designed a truly unique and new pouch. Which is quickly moving up my favorite pouches in underwear. I am in love with this pair.

I wore this pair on an active day. It held up so great. The fabric moved with me through out the day. And the pouch gave great support and enough enhancing without making it seem over the top. One thing about the fabric, I wore it on a cold day and there were a few times when the wind picked up and I was like “Hello.” You could feel the breeze. I would suggest to wear it on a warmer day or wear it and be damned!

WildmanT has some great sizing. I received an XL and it fit amazing. The waistband wasn’t too tight and the fabric and cut fit great. I don’t think I have ever had an issue with the underwear from them. As always double check the size guide to get the correct size.

Pros:

  • The super amazing pouch design
  • Great fabrics that fit well through out the day
  • Mesh is slightly see through and fun

Cons:

  • May not wear on a cold day! You could get a breeze
  • Some may not like the mesh fabric
  • Only available in black, I want it in more colors!

JOR (2)

Candyman Fashion furnished us with some great pairs of the JOR Workout collection to review.

JOR – Logo Black T-shirt

I received a black long-sleeve style shirt from JOR, my first impression of it was comfy and light. This was the first thing I have ever tried or worn from this company. This particle shirt does have a white version as well; its cut is the same.

I wore it around the condo and around town, it was quite comfy. It was a regular, non-active day, and with how well it felt by the end of the day I have no doubt that this shirt could take a beating and be fine.

I received a size large from them which fit me like a glove.

In terms of likes and dislikes for this shirt, I loved the fit and fabric for this shirt. I wasn’t a huge fan of how the neck opening was, but after a while I got used to it.

Pros:

  • Good Sizing
  • Amazing Material
  • Nice fit

  • Neck opening is cut off

I wore it around the condo and went to the gym to workout. It was a regular workout so I put the pants through their paces, and at the end of the workout,

I received a size large from them which fit me very well and was extremely comfortable.

ass_7When you think of underwear, for most our readers Fort Troff doesn’t come to top of mind. Those familiar with it know its got some great gear and fetish materials. They have had underwear for a few years but most has been very much fetish driven. They have just released the new Fort Grunt Boxer Briefs. Fort Troff furnished a few pairs to review. It was definitely interesting to receive underwear that I had no clue what it looked like.

When I opened the package I saw a camo print underwear line. Camo has been big but this is Fort Troff’s own print. Its not green but grey and I really liked it. The first thing I noticed was the quality. Some times when you get underwear from a company that specializes in fetish, its made to take off than keep on. This was not the case with this pair. The feel really impressed me and you could tell that a lot of effort was put into this new line. Fort Troff said they used the same factory that produces UnderArmour. After they told me this, it does have a feel of UA but with a bit more fetish side!

I wore the pair to work one day in a busy week. These undies are not make for fun, they are really great undies that you can wear during the day. The pouch has a sort of mesh material made for breathability and it gave some good support too. “This moisture-wicking performance fabric has incredible stretch…and our mesh pouches BREATHE…for all damn day comfort” This is what they say about the line. It was very true. An amazing fabric on a print just made this pair a winner for me!

The big question for most is what is the sizing?  Being a new brand for me I don’t have anything to draw from other than the size chart. Small is for waist sizes 28-30 inches. Medium is for waist sizes 30-32 inches. Large is for waist sizes 32-34 inches. X-Large is for waist sizes 35-37 inches. I received an XL and I think I’m bigger than 37 and it fit pretty well. I was surprised. I was fully expecting to try them on and go “OH NO, too small”

I was super skeptical when I was sent the undies. I am not the biggest boxer brief fan so this already had me going, ehhh. After wearing them, this is an amazing pair of underwear. This is an every day pair. This line is made to feel sexy yet comfortable every day.

Pros:

  • Amazing Fabric
  • Cool Camo Print
  • Made for comfort

Cons:

  • The Fort Troff Name may turn guys off (don’t let it!)
  • Some guys may not like camo.

R10-13-A

My initial impression of the Sheer Skin singlets was that they looked hot, N2N Bodywear furnished these for review! I received the orange version and blue version of this singlet, they also come in a black version and a white version; the white version is the only one where the mesh isn’t black, it is white on it instead.

I have worn these around the condo, out to a bar and a houseparty. I didn’t do anything active while wearing them, besides walking around, sitting and standing in them. They held up fine and I am under the impression with the quality of craftsmanship that they would last very well.

For sizing, the website says a Large is 34-38” in the waist and 41-44” in the chest , so I got a large, and it fit my body very well. It showed off my chest, waist, ass, and crotch extremely well with the sizing and cut of it. The downside was that the two singlets I have didn’t seem to be the same exact size, with the orange being a bit roomier than the blue.

What I really love about this is the mesh parts of it; I like how it shows off just a little bit more skin in a tasteful way. I also liked the fit and material; it really hugs my backside and thighs nicely, and cups my crotch very well too, and with the mesh on the chest it shows off my pecs very well. My only dislike is I don’t think N2N is 100% consistent with their sizes, but when mesh is part of the fabric used I can see why.

Pros:

  • Sexy styling
  • Good Sizing
  • Good cut
  • Amazing Material
  • Nice fit

Cons:

  • Not consistent sizing

  • Daily Fit – 9
  • Sizing – 8.5

R8-11-1

N2N furnished us some great gear to review. This is the first of a few reviews we will be doing of the erotic collection. This review features the Sheer Skin Runners.

My initial impression of these tights was that they were quite sexy looking, once I tried them on and was able to see how the fabric and mesh worked around my body I became an even bigger fan of them. This style is available in both all black and all white, I happen to have one of each.

I have worn these around the condo, out to a bar and around town under some jeans. I didn’t do anything active while wearing them, besides walking around, sitting and standing in them. They held up fine and I am under the impression with the quality of craftsmanship that they would last very well.

The size I got was a large, and it fit my waist, thighs, calves & butt very well, my butt is of good enough size that that it can definitely change how something sits on me compared to someone else of a similar waist size. The website states that Large is in the 34-38” range. The two tights I received say the same size, but they do not fit identical to each other, which is a bit disappointing to me.

What I really love about this is the mesh parts of it; I like how it shows off just a little bit more skin in a tasteful way. I also liked the fit and material; it really hugs my backside and thighs nicely, and cups my crotch very well too. My only dislike is I don’t think N2N is 100% consistent with their sizes, but when mesh is part of the fabric used I can see why.

Supawear Fruitopia

I LOVE watermelon in the summertime since I was a kid. I would always get it and eat till I couldn’t eat any more. I also, love underwear! So what could be better? Watermelon Underwear! Some of you out there may think it maybe crazy to create underwear based on fruit. I think it’s pretty fun and awesome. Underwear is about fun and expressing yourself! SupaWear furnished a pair of Fruitopia for this review!

The Fruitopia pair I was super excited to review. I thought I requested a jock but got a brief instead. I’m not complaining though! The brief is a lot of fun. The first thing that you notice is it definitely looks like watermelon. The Green waistband is the peel, which I love. It makes it so much fun. The other thing is on the brief, the back has seeds printed on the back. It’s just an added touch that is super nice

When I put the pair on the first thing I noticed was it was a little tight. Being the holidays I added a little weight on. Their sizing chart says it’s 36-37. I will say I’m bigger than that and it didn’t fit too tight. After I had them on I didn’t notice the tight fit. It was mainly in the waistband.

As for daily wear it fit pretty well. I wore this pair on a really busy and stressful day. I was on the go for a few hours. It really held up well. It was a little more of a manual labor day than I had expected. The tight fit was perfect for the day, it gave me extra support when I needed it.

The design. As I mentioned above is awesome. Its playful and fun. SupaWear and 2EROS isn’t afraid of trying something new. They have a really great design aesthetic in everything they design. Lines such as AKTIV and X-Series brings out the fashion of the brand. The Fruitopia just brings out the fun. I want more pairs in the series! They would be great to wear during the summer time! (Which it is summer in Australia)

Pros:

  • I love the fun whimsical design
  • Great pouch in the pair
  • Waistband is awesome

Cons:

  • Some may not like the literal interpretation of the pair
  • Color may turn some off

  • Daily fit – 8

I love when a pair of undies can be used for multiple purposes. Like wearing a jockstrap for the fun and sexiness but yet have it be functional at the gym. I had the opportunity to review a pair of undies that I would not only wear everyday under a pair of jeans.  But wouldn’t mind laying out by the pool in these guys either.

I had the opportunity to review the 2(x)ist Black Light SLIQ micro truck in a size medium. I have to admit, I was a little confused when I first opened these up. They looks like a sexy pair of square cut trunks and heading into winter. I was a little concerned that I wasn’t going to be able to give these a fair review. But as soon as I took them out of the package and tried them on, I was SOLD. The fit is amazing, the fabric is amazing, the overall construction is amazing. These are just an all-around great pair of undies.

The fabric on these is a 88% polyester 12% spandex blend. The polyester gives them a little bit of a sheer look to them.  Which is what made me think they were swimwear when I first got them.  The spandex adds for a great amount of stretch and movement. This fabric is lightweight but yet seems very tough and would hold up to even the craziest gym workout. They design of this trunk is very minimalist with a screen printed logo on the left hip and pattern on the fabric extends all the way up through the waistband. The inside of the waistband has a great logo design and also is very soft. The pouch is great as well. It roomy and I had no issues with feeling cramped at all during the day. The low-rise cut is awesome and fit perfectly below the hip, right where a good pair of trunks should!

The color/pattern is kind of hard to describe, but it wouldn’t be my first chose. It is a very random almost “tie-dye” look to it. I wasn’t a huge fan of it, at first but it is growing on me for sure.

PROS:

  • Great fit and true to size
  • Great construction and attention to detail
  • Great fabric for everyday wear, stayed in place all day!

CONS:

  • Not a big fan of the color. These look great but would love to see more pattern options.

My third pair of BodyAware (who furnished this pair) for review was the Dreamsickle Jock.  I told Tim at UNB he could pick a pair for me and he said I had to try a pair with lace.  I liked the pairing of a jock with the lacy fabric – something new to my collection.  The coral and black was a nice combination and the unusual straps intrigued me.

It took a minute to figure out how to put these on because when they’re loose, the straps are all over the place.  Once I pulled them up and got everything adjusted, I was ready to go.  Lots going on here: lace pouch, unusual legs straps that start in the front rather than the side/back like a typical jock.  A large cutout beneath the waistband and the pouch to show off some more skin…or in my case – hair.

I wore these around the house on a Saturday. Because I wasn’t sure how they’d hold up to a workday when I wouldn’t be IMG_1497able to change them if they weren’t a good fit.  The pouch was surprisingly comfortable as I was expecting the lace to itch.  No problems there and the contour holds and shows your package really well.  The material says 96% rayon and 4% spandex. That’s probably why everything actually felt pretty soft.  My two complaints are the leg straps were too loose and needed adjustments regularly.  I’m not sure if they’re cut large.  My butt just didn’t fill them out or the fact that they attach in the front gave them too much wiggle room but it was a bit annoying.  Problem number two was quite possibly the worst tag placement I could imagine.  It’s sewn into the pouch, which is pretty see-through, so behind the lace fabric is an ugly white tag.  Obviously you can cut it out but I thought it was a poor choice of placement.  The tag is not shown on their site, which feels a bit misleading.

These come in 4 colors – coral, navy, fuchsia and aqua and retail for $14.25 on the BodyAware website.  Sizing follows BodyAware’s usual chart with a medium fitting 31-33.  Which was true to size except for the semi-loose leg straps.

These are definitely a fun pair that I would wear for someone into lace/jocks. But not an everyday pair and certainly not for use as an actual jockstrap.  I don’t think that’s their intention, but I figured it should be said.  Even though I wasn’t in love, I do have to say that BodyAware has been great to try and these won’t be my last pair from them.  They’re a company that actually thinks outside the box and while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, that’s what I love about them.  There are enough run of the mill brands out there and those of us who are more adventurous need a place like BA!

PROS

  • unique, sexy design

CONS

  • bad tag placement
  • leg straps were too loose

IMG_1492I love the chance to try new things when it comes to underwear and this pair was unlike any of the briefs I own.  Taking them out of the package, the first thing I noticed was that they are VERY light and thin.  The color (Mint) was great, as well.  After my first (and positive) experience with BA last week, I was ready for round two. BodyAware furnished this pair for review.

I wore these under my jeans to work and they disappeared the moment I put them on!  The material (90% polyamide, 10% elastane) weighed almost nothing. The fact that there are very thin seams around the waist and legs made them, as the name would suggest, invisible.  I happen to think brieflines are sexy but if you want a pair that won’t show under your clothes, these are definitely for you.  I thought the cut was a bit “granny” and would have preferred a smaller, sexier bikini cut.  I’m deficient in the butt department so someone a bit bigger might fill these out better.  They were comfortable, stayed in place all day and I really forgot I was wearing anything at all.  They would’t be my pick for a really active day. Because of the paper-thin fabric not being as supportive as a cotton blend or spandex/lycra type material.  Great for lounging around the house or wearing to bed.IMG_1496

Sizing seems right but since the cut is a bit large, you should definitely size down if you on the lower end of the scale.  These were a medium (31-33) and I could have probably fit into a small being a 31-32.

Great color selection is something I love about BodyAware.  Everything from white to navy to orange and purple – there’s something for everyone!

I liked this pair well enough and will wear them again.  Sspecially when it’s hot out and I don’t want a thick layer of cotton under my clothes.  The style is a bit feminine, but that’s a lot of BA’s underwear so if it isn’t your thing.  You probably wouldn’t be trying these anyway.  They retail for $18.80 on the BodyAware website.

PROS

– soft, lightweight fabric

– lots of color choices

– comfortable for everyday wear

– cut is a bit frumpy, in my opinion

– not super supportive for an active day

I wore the Greek God Brief.  I am a fan of sexy underwear, especially bikini briefs, but had never tried a style quite so feminine.  BodyAware has plenty of undies that are basically lingerie for men.  For guys who like feminine underwear, BA is great because you get that styling but the cut is meant for a man.  So the fit is much better.  These definitely piqued my interest and I could’t wait to give them a shot!

The stretch satin material is what you would expect – very shiny and super smooth.  The bikini cut was just right, although I generally prefer a bit studier waistband to prevent rolling.  The front has just the right amount of extra room for comfort while maintaining a smooth look and supportive feel.

I wore these to work and felt like I had a fun, little secret all day.  Maybe the way a guy feels wearing his wife’s underwear?  The fabric felt great against my skin. They’re so light you forget you’re wearing anything at all….expect for the seam up the back that gives more butt definition.  It could feel a bit thong-like but once you accepted that this is where this pair is going to stay, it was fine.  These briefs stayed in place and worked as well as any other bikinis I own – but with a twist.

These were a medium (31-33) and they fit true to size.  Given that these are a small cut, I would stick to your typical size.  They stretch quite a bit but I think the elastic around the legs and waist would dig in and be uncomfortable if you were in a size too small.IMG_1548

Color selection is not a problem and I appreciate that they have less common choices : black, chocolate, periwinkle, turquoise, honeyed biscuit (almost nude), aqua and jade.  Red shows up in the photos but isn’t an option on their site.  Maybe it was the first to sell out?

Overall, the Greek God brief was definitely a pair I will wear over and over and might just make me try some more lingerie type underwear again.  They were definitely sexier than I anticipated.

PROS

– soft, silky material

– lots of color choices

– comfortable throughout the day while still being a sexy pair

CONS

– lingerie style is definitely not for everyone

– seam up the back might annoy some guys

– waistband could be a bit studier to help them stay in place

This pair was furnished for review by Andrew Christian.

I will start by saying that boxer briefs and trunks are not my first choice of underwear.  So when I pulled out this pair I did;t expect them to be on regular rotation.  I first noticed that the fabric was very soft. The anatomically correct pouch was going to leave very little to the imagination. Lastly, the waistband only said BLACK with no Andrew Christian in sight.

These were my choice for a typical Monday at the office, under jeans.  When first pulling them on I was pleased by how they felt so broken in already. Its like they had been washed over and over.  I’m definitely a fan of fabrics like that.  The pouch was supportive and comfortable even though it leaves a less than attractive silhouette in my opinion.  I was nicely surprised by the fact that the legs really didn’t ride up too much under my pants. The pouch wasn’t as obvious under my IMG_1494clothes as I had anticipated.  I did have to make occasional adjustments to the pouch throughout the day but not enough to be a problem.  A nice, light pair of underwear for a workday – or even lounging since they’re so soft.

These were a medium (30-32) and they fit true to size.  The fabric has a LOT of stretch. If you like things a bit tight, you could size down if you’re on the lower end of the size range.  I’m a 31-32 and these were fine.  If you’re a true 30, you should get the small.

This collection also comes in a brief which I will try next and the colors available are black, blue and red.

Overall, the Black Collection Boxer was a great pair and will be in my rotation every so often – especially when I want to show off a bit.

PROS

– very soft material

– showy pouch for guys that are into that

CONS

– limited color selection

– some pouch adjustments needed throughout the day

– silhouette of anatomically correct pouch isn’t very attractive (IMO)

BodyAware furnished us several pairs to review. This is one of those pairs. The Screen Door Booty Short is one when I opened I was very skeptical of wearing. It is a nylon mesh with not much stretch. This could go really bad really fast! Being the trooper I am I put it on and hoped for the best.

BodyAware describes this pair as “our newest high-visibility design allows plenty of show-through and a bit of a breeze. Perfect for light-weight under coverage, this virtually weightless mesh booty short is contoured to fit and feel the best. With the very soft mesh and a satin dyed-to-match waistband for unconstricting comfort and a shaped full back”

Since I was a little apprehensive about the pair I decided to wear this around the house one day. I didn’t want to be out Unknown-51and it not fit well. It has the contoured pouch that I really liked but wasn’t sure how it would do all day. After a few hours I was really surprised the how these held up. The support and fabric felt great, the nylon has 8% spandex that gives it stretch. The nylon fabric could feel scratchy and uncomfortable.

The mesh in this pair is 100% see through. I received the white and you definitely could see everything. Like I have said many times before, 100% mesh has it’s time and place. It was quite fun to wear around the house. If you are a mesh fan you will love this pair.

The sizing of this is pretty good. BodyAware has pretty traditional sizing charts. I received and XL and it fit me very well. Sizing in general with them is pretty spot on. Most have been traditional sizes. As always double check the sizing charts if in doubt.

Pros:

  • Contoured Pouch
  • Felt great throughout the day
  • Super sexy pair

Cons:

  • Some guys may not like the 100% mesh
  • Some guys may not like the nylon fabric.

You maybe going, didn’t you just review this furnished by Saxx? I did review the Grey boxer but this one is the Red boxer in the Vibe collection. I LOVE the print of this one. It’s def has the ugly Christmas sweater vibe! That is one reason I loved it so much. It’s a pair you can wear to any holiday occasion or party!

I really hoped I liked this pair because the print is one I really like. The grey one I reviewed was good but It didn’t remind me of the pairs I have reviewed in the past. This pair lived up to that and more. The fit took me back to one of the first pairs I ever reviewed. The innovative pouch held everything great and no discomfort!

I wore this on a busy day. This was to see how well it would hold up. It was an active day on the go from 9 am till 8 pm! The pair rarely got in my way or was noticeable in a negative way. Unlike the other pair this one held up much better. The pair moved with me and during an active day it was a perfect pair to wear.

Again, the print! I love what some would consider tacky and over the top. Its my thing and I just embrace it. So when I opened and saw the grey pair I was like, Awe! Then I saw this pair and said “YES!” or as is popular “YAAAASSSSS.” The pair has a holiday print so this may limit when you wear it or you can rock it in July. I wouldn’t suggest wearing to the gym because in July you may get some strange looks wearing  Christmas underwear

The sizing was great. I had no issues. I got an XL and it fit me pretty well. I hope to go back down to a 36 but I have to work on it. They have had consistent sizing over the years and I don’t think you will have any issues.

Pros:

  • I love the print, did I say I love it!
  • Great for an active day
  • Fabric to be active in

Cons:

  • Print maybe too much for some
  • Its an interesting pouch design

Beau Briefs recommendation: A perfectly pleasant pair of trunks with a classic N2N look. These were furnished by N2N Bodywear for review

Rating: 8.5/10

Daily Fit: 8.5/10

Sizing: 9/10

Construction: 8/10

Styling: 8/10

Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros: Light weight fabric, good movability, comfortable wear, cute!

Cons: Nothing in particular, not an absolute stand out

It is nice to have a perfectly pleasant pair of trunks to turn to. This pair of N2N trunks is seamlessly swell. One can put them on in the morning and wear all day without issue or discomfort. The color has a nice red pop to it and is playful with the yellow accent. Not generally two colors I like to have go together but I have no issues with the combo here.

Being a pair of N2N underwear you can expect that your business will be out and about for display. The way that N2N bulge bump is a true phenomenon and I have no issue with it. Some other brands do too much to try and emphasize everything.  They make it all awkward and uncomfortable but not N2N. It will be out there and it will be shown off. But it isn’t uncomfortable and there is no second thought about it.  No fumbling to put things where they are supposed to be or anything.

The fabric is lovely and soft against the skin. It’ll wear nicely through the day with no chaffing or odd rub. If you don’t want to have to think about the pair that you are wearing and just go about your day, this is that kind of pair. No second thought, no mid-day discomfort, just undies.

Also, it’s cute! It really is an effortlessly cute pair of underwear. It’s cute to see, it’s cute to show, it’s cute. If you’re me, cute is one of the highest compliments to give to a pair of great day to day underwear. so I’m sorry if I’ve used the word too much.

Anyway, in the end. Get this pair, grab it in the morning, have a great day with a cute pair of undies. It’s just that simple.

Beau Briefs recommendation: You’re gonna want to have this one. This pair furnished By N2N Bodywear for review

Rating: 9/10

Daily Fit: 8.5/10

Sizing: 9/10

Construction: 9/10

Styling: 9.5/10

Daily Performance: …less used for daily more used for momentarily.

Pros: Sexy as hell, accentuates certain areas, pretty comfortable for a time, did I mention sexy?

Cons: Not sure on full day use for fabric, you better be ready to have that bulge bulging…

Okay, I had been wanting to try the N2N Liquid line ever since I first say a photo of it. And I was not disappointed. The label itself will identify as an erotic pair. The moment that it is on it is not hard to see why…even if not hard…get it? 😉

The Liquid Silver pair will easily slide up your legs and hug your hips, in the best possible way. Even just putting the pair on itself is a fairly sensual experience. Seeing the snug fit of the crotch and silver licking of the cheeks. It would be very difficult (avoided using the word hard again) to not feel much sexier just after slipping into it.

Now, as I mentioned, I do not know if this pair would be the best all day pair. Because the lining and the outside fabrics act very differently. The inside lining is comfortable and smooth. The outside is meant to have that shiny, sultry look and can be a bit stiff with how it interacts with the lining and movement. However, the two both do their jobs exactly as they are supposed to. The outside fabric without the inner would be super uncomfortable. The inside without the outside would just be a very basic black brief. Together…wow.

GTAHunmt.jpg-large

The visual of the pair when being worn is 100% what N2N was going for. I don’t care if you’re a shower. if you’re a grower, or if there just isn’t much up front, this pair will make everything WOW worthy.

The fit is great, it’ll hug you because that’s exactly what it should do. When it comes to a pair like this you don’t want it to be loose or baggy in anyway. If you’ve got a bit of a booty it might reign it in a bit but the look of lining caressing your cheek is well worth a bit of flattening.

Well, after trying this pair on and writing this review I am just a bit hot and bothered. In other words, the N2N Liquid Silver is a fully effective, sexy as HELL, line of undies and a must have.

body_7f8e8704-e919-4aa4-819f-03ef3b7ec468_1024x1024I am loving Kiniki underwear. The next pair we have furnished by them to review is the Bandicoot Hipster. It has a funny name but it’s actually a jock boxer. This is my first time ever wearing this style. It may seem odd that I run an underwear blog and never wore a jock boxer before. It took me a while before I finally tried my first jock brief. It’s not that I have an aversion to the pairs but just didn’t have the opportunity to give them a try.

This being a new style for me I wasn’t sure what to expect. I slid it on and noticed you had to use some extra help in the back to pull up the legs. If this is going to be the way I have to deal with this pair all day, it won’t be fun. At least those were my thoughts. But, I had to give it a try! At first I felt kinda of naughty and sexy. Here you are in this trunk but with an open back. I kind of liked this feeling.

I wore this around running errands and working as well. My initial thoughts of the pair didn’t come to pass. It held up quite well. Even being not a huge fan of boxer briefs, the support and fit of these were pretty nice. They fit pretty well and moved with me through out the day. The front gave great support and things didn’t move around through out the day. I was very pleasantly surprised at this. Add in the sexy feel and I really liked them.

If you read the Bandicoot Tanga review from last week, this pair has the same fabric as the that pair. It’s a very comfortable Cotton Lycra blend fabric. It really fits great. Kiniki says this pair has “comfortable and enhancing with an integrated front pouch adding to form and function.” I would totally agree. It’s one of the better pouches on trunk/hipster I have tried. I will say they definitely succeeded on the pouch!

Sizing for me was good. Like the Tanga this pair has a waist band that was almost at the too tight level when putting on. During the day there was no issue. It was only when I was putting on or taking off. Outside of that the XL I was given fit pretty well. As always double check your sizing charts for what size you should get.

Pros:

  • I loved the sexy feel this pair gave me
  • Great supportive pouch
  • Amazing fabric

Cons:

  • Some may not like the open back
  • I wish it came in more colors, it just comes in black and white

Ratings:

  • Daily fit – 8
  • Sizing – 8
  • Construction – 9
  • Styling – 8
  • Daily Performance – 8
  • Overall – 8.2

You can find the Bandicoot Hipster on the Kiniki website for £21.90. It is available in black or white.

After interviewing Adam Russell the designer and founder of Edge Apparel I could not wait to try out one of the pairs of underwear.  Edge Apparel supplied us with some underwear to review. I selected, as I always try to, a classic brief to start off. Since I’m a big fan of briefs I like to get my first look at a new brand with their briefs. I went for the darker, grey and red option.

The fabric blend of 7% spandex and 93% cotton was very comfortable. It was supportive and soft while still having just the edge of flexibility. It was very smooth to the touch which is always a bonus for the bum and it felt good all throughout the day.

The waist band is a great fit, it both stretches and holds, the ideal balance. It is a very cute, generally solid color band with the trendy logo on the front. The piping on the legs is just as balanced, stretchy, and comfortable and holds up well.

There is no “pouch” or anything in the crotch area. Personally, I’m not a fan of most pouches so I found this excellent. It much reminds me of the bulge area of Calvin Kleins, in a way, roomy, supportive but not overly defined.

When I went to the gym I didn’t have another pair to change into, as I often do, so I did my cardio day in the briefs. They felt fine, held up to the run, climb, and all. As mentioned in the cons section, I did have to tug the back out of my butt a time or two but nothing serious.

Overall I greatly enjoyed this pair of underwear. I am excited to try the other pairs out and give the boxer brief cut a go as well.

Pros: Cute, very comfortable fabric blend, supportive, and durable.

Beau Briefs recommendation: An awesome new start for a brand, very solid product!

When Saxx asked me if I wanted to review the new Holiday collection I immediately said YES! They sent me two pairs to review! I was told the new collection was based on the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” and I said SOLD! I had to get these! They send some really great ones. The first pair I am reviewing is the Grey with Reindeer print.

I have tried a few pairs of Saxx over the years. They have an innovative pouch design that is designed to give some great support and cause less issues that would make you adjust. The first time you put on a pouch you kinda go “What the heck?” But there are no tricks or such to get it on. You can wear them for every day or to work out in.

We all know I’m not a big fan of trunks/boxer briefs. I never like the lack of support I get from many pairs. This is not something I had to worry about with Saxx. The innovative pouch design would guarantee me good support. There were a few times that it required some adjustment but it wasn’t bad.

I wore this pair on a day full of errands. I was pleasantly surprised that the legs stayed in place. These were a bit longer than previous pairs I have reviewed. They never rode up or caused issues. The pouch like I said gave me some issues but it Unknown-40wasn’t a constant ongoing issue. The fabric is great with Saxx. It’s a 95% Viscose / 5% Spandex blend.

Let’s talk about the print. I am a big fan of prints and this one is amazing. It definitely was ugly sweater inspired. But to me it wasn’t ugly enough! It’s a lot of fun though. This would be a great pair to wear to a Holiday Party or home for the Holidays. It’s definitely something I haven’t seen in underwear before. Few companies have ever done pairs like this, my hat is off to Saxx!

The sizing is good with Saxx. The best thing to do is look at the sizing chart. The XL they sent fit me pretty well. I had no issues with it. It should be pretty standard with US sizing. They are based out of Canada and most Canadian companies match the US sizing standards pretty well.

Pros:

  • OMG The Print
  • Great fabric
  • Available to wear at work or play (working out and etc)

Cons:

  • Some may not like the print
  • The pouch is different and not everyone may like the fit

Ratings:

  • Daily fit – 7
  • Sizing – 9
  • Construction – 9
  • Styling – 10

Kikini furnished several items from the new Allure collection. One of those pairs is the Bandicoot Jockstrap. This pair is the Kiniki take on the jock strap. The first thing you can count on is that the jock will be very sexy! This definitely is the case and one reason I really liked it!

They say this about the pair: Butt hugging Jock strap style rear with exposed back panel makes this tanga one to remember. They call this jock a tanga. What is a tanga? According to Google it’s “a pair of briefs consisting of small panels connected by strings at the sides” Meaning it’s more like a string bikini. This pair has a solid waist band with a  pouch in front ad the exposed back panel.

This pair was a lot of fun to wear. Its made out of a great fabric and the back has a design I really liked. Unlike a traditional jock with elastic straps this pair has straps made out of material. It may sound odd but look at the picture below. Its as they described, a cut out panel. Its basically like they made a Tanga and cut the middle of the back out. The straps held their place and felt great on. Unlike a traditional jock, this pair didn’t bind or feel too tight in the leg straps.

The Bandicoot line has the same waistband as the Peek-A-Boo line. It’s a silver band with Kiniki written in the band. It’s a really great contrast against the black. To me this make the pair just pop. Its sexy without going too cliché.

I wore this to work and running errands. I really loved the support this pair gave me. The straps as I have mentioned stayed in place. It’s a great pair for being active. There was no binding or issues moving or lifting with this pair on. It can be worn by guys who have an active job or a desk job.

The one issue I had with the pair is the sizing. It did fit me in the size they sent. The issue was the waistband was a bit tight at times. In normal wear it didn’t bother me. When I put it on or took it off I could tell that the waistband was at the limit. So if you’re on the upper end of the chart pay attention.
