You maybe doing a double take during this post, but yes Ginch Gonch is back on the market. They have been going through a lot of legal battles but those are now settled and they are aiming to get Ginch Gonch Back in your underwear drawer.

While in Vegas for Magic I had the opportunity to meet with Neil, the new owner of Ginch Gonch. We went briefly over the history and how they are moving forward. The first thing I liked is they aren’t loosing the whimsy and charm of the original Ginch Gonch Brand. The really fun and youthful prints are part of the collection.

I have a long history whit Ginch Gonch. They were one of the first companies i worked with on UNB and met at Magic. So I’m really glad they are back. To share one of my favorites I reviewed back in the day was the Motorcycle and Truck series. And yes I got a few strange looks when I wore them, but I didn’t care at all. They were comfy and just fun. So to me it’s great they are not loosing this part of their brand. I have a few pairs of them still in my drawer. And yes I still wear them.

The new Ginch Gonch has the philosophy ‘Live like a Child”. While they are holding on to the past they are moving into the future. They are doing this by creating new designs that compliment the “classic” patterns. I know not everyone wants to walk around in undies with sports balls on them, but you may like sports themed underwear. The new collections are:

ginch-gonch-collections

  • Athlete – The sports ball theme. The print has different balls whereas the non print has balls on the pouch and referee stripes
  • Super Hero – The print has flying super heroes that remind you of being a kid the non print has the the Ginch Gonch super hero logo in blue.
  • Patrol – Is the police pair. The print has police cars. The non print is blue with a badge on the pouch!
  • Jawbreakers – This doesn’t have a print but are inspired by the colors of Jawbreakers in several flavors.

If you were a fan of Ginch Gonch we urge you to check them out again, they are still the fun company you knew before. I think the new owner is going to embrace the heritage but yet move forward with great new designs. He’s taking a very active role in everything form designing, marketing and product packaging! I expect to see great things from them over the next few years. Find them at http://www.ginchgonch.com. We will be covering them and bring you more in depth posts on the different collections soon!
