Unknown-19The pair for today’s UndiesMonday is one many of you great up on. It’s a classic that had been hard to find in the last few years. That pair is the Jockey Elance Bikinis. Right now I can see many faces of our readers light up. Elance was the first bikini many out there bought. It brings back very good memories growing up and discovering undies. If you don’t know about the pair, well we think you need to check it out.

The Elance brand has been around since the 70’s. Many of you out there may remember MLB Pitcher Jim Palmer wearing these in the pages of People magazine in the 80’s. When you talk to any guy who grew up in that time period and mention Jim Palmer, most say he was the reason they had to buy them. You maybe asking why? Because here was this all American guy in skimpy undies. It just wasn’t done in the day. And we all had to have a pair!

This maybe a lot of set up for a pair but what makes you feel more amazing then revisiting a pair you used to have years ago. It’s very rare to be able to relive your past in underwear. Things change so fast, when you get  favorite pair it can be gone in the matter of months. I don’t even think I have any more of these.

So what makes them so special? Are they revolutionary? Have an amazing design? I would say no to all them. They are actually quite basic. A true bikini cut with no defined pouch and made out of 100% cotton. The relaunched line is amiable in a series of solid colors including one of all white. Gone are the stripes they had in the 80’s.

If you want to relive a pair from you past then this is it. They are available 3 for $19.99 at the Jockey site. Something tells me they aren’t in the tubes they used to come in!

BARCODE_FW2015-a

2(X)ist has launched a new line called Barcode. What makes the Barcode line so awesome? To me its the modal fabric used in the new collection. Modal has become one of my favorite fabrics in the world of men’s underwear. Its super soft to your skin and breathes well during the day. It’s AMAZING to me. I don’t know why more brands didn’t use modal in more pairs.

The new BarCode comes in three different styles. They are No-Show Brief, Bikini Brief, No-Show Trunk and Knit Boxer. This marks one of the few times 2(X)its has released a boxer. When I saw it I had to do a double take in Vegas! You maybe asking where does the Barcode come from? The tag on the pairs says 2(X)its and has a bar code.

Each of the new pairs comes in four different colors. The colors are Formula One (red), Directore Blue, Black and Black Stripe. The No-Show pairs have a waistband with an accenting color. The Boxer and Bikini have a small band of accenting color at the top of the band.

The pairs retail for; No-Show Brief & Bikini Brief $26 , No-Show Trunk and Knit Boxer $30. Find these pairs at the 2(X)its website.

ERGOWEAR-0331-MAX-Suave-Bikini-Vermouth

ErgoWear makes some incredible underwear! They are keeping up this trend with the new Vermouth Suave collection. ErgoWear calls this men’s lingerie. This may scare a few of you off but don’t let it. I think that term gets a bad wrap in the world of men’s underwear. Its a term used to make underwear to feel sexy. This is not a bad thing in underwear! We all want to feel sexy!

The new Vermouth collection is offered in three different styles in the Ergowear line up. Its featured in the Feel, X3D and Max Collections. The Feel has a revolutionary seamless 3-D designed pouch. The Max is a sporty look with the signature waistband and ergonomically designed pouch. The X3D is ErgoWears original take on underwear and features the amazing ergonomically designed pouch.

Vermouth comes in an amazingly soft fabric made out of  polyester-spandex microfiber blend. Ergowear sys it is “most advanced microfiber technology up to date, being ultra soft on the skin, with high elasticity, moisture expeling and faster frying, and is surprisingly resistant to abrasion”

The pairs that are offered in this collection are the Feel Suave Bikini, Feel Suave Mini Boxer and Feel Suave Thong, Max Suave Bikini, Max Suave Boxer, Max Suave Thong, X3D Suave Bikini, X3D Suave Mini Boxer and X3D Suave Thong. The line is only available in one color, which is pinkish/purple. The Max collection has a white waistband and the Feel and X3D have covered waistbands.

If you like this line check it out! Its super sexy and fun. Right now it’s on sale at Candyman Fashion site for 20% off with code vermouth. The sale ends tomorrow 8/10/15.

IMG_20150713_190630We have been talking to a new company called Bülge. They reached out to us and they are an underwear company founded by some great guys. I got a chance to ask them some questions about Bülge to introduce them to you guys. They are doing some great things and they are a brand I want you guys to get to know!

Many of our readers may not know about you guys. Tell our readers about your brand Bülge? Where did the name Bülge come from? What made you passionate about the underwear industry to start your own brand?

BÜLGE Clothing began in early 2014 with a vision of a company whose products weren’t manufactured by cutting corners on quality and comfort.  We were tired of shirts that fit like a generic brand sold in thrift stores, but still paying top dollar for a name. Jason decided to shop around a bit for the material, but as soon as he felt the bamboo, he was convinced. That’s why we urge the public to try just one of our products because the rest is self-explanatory. We were also tired of uncomfortable boxer briefs that fit like cloth-like grocery bags, also paying for just a name. We had a friend assist us with the cut we were interested in designing. Though the products had the look we aimed for, they were not up to par with our standards. It was an unbelievable pain to find another company with the craftsmanship we sought, but we eventually we did and have been impressed to this day with their work.

What styles do you currently offer in the Bülge collection? What sets your underwear from other companies on the market?

Currently we offer just boxer briefs for our underwear, two differently styled Curve-Kissed Tees. What sets us apart from the rest is our commitment to quality and high standards, our cut that’s made to accentuate a man’s natural physique and curves, and our name, of course.

You guys currently make boxer briefs, are you guys going to expand to more styles?

The company is looking into Underwear and a shorter cut of our standard boxer briefs. We’ve also been working on our women’s sports bras and yoga pants, as well as men’s compression shorts.

Who currently are you focusing on as a customer?

Our focus is men ages 18-45. However, we want all men to wear our products. Men have trouble sometimes actively replacing their underwear. When they do, there’s no mainstream company centrally focused on men’s underwear that combines the high quality and comfort at a very reasonable rate.

You have some awesome guys representing your brand. Who are they and what made you get them to be a brand ambassador?

We were proud to work with the gentlemen chosen to represent the brand. IFBB Pro, Stan De Longeaux, was a contact of a good friend of ours at TRAIN Magazine. We reached out to him because his body is nearly perfect and we knew our products would look amazing on him. He fell in love with the name and the actual products once he wore them. We recently closed a deal with NBC’s World Series of Fighting Light- Heavyweight Champion, Justin Gaethje. Justin loved our products when he was introduced to the brand in Denver a few months back. His marketing company reached out to Andrew and one thing led to another, so now Bülge is his official sponsor for his fight shorts, as well as his boxer briefs and compression shorts. On Sept. 18th, he’ll be rocking them live for his title defense fight. We’re actually having a viewing party so if you have any contacts here in FL that would like to come, or if you’re around at the time, please feel free to join us once the details of the location are ironed out.

Bülge has a big passion for charity, specifically the Autism Society, why are you so passionate to give back?

We’re working with a sales rep who’s family member is a person with Autism. She instilled in us a want to help. We made history partnering up with them and are proud to say we are helping in the fight. Not to take away from any other cause or foundation or any thing in the likeness, but this is who believed in our brand and we couldn’t be happier to work together.

To date what has been you guys biggest accomplishment? What has been the biggest challenge in launching the brand?

We’ve excelled quickly in a few short months and have done so much that it’s difficult to pinpoint a top accomplishment. If we had to select one, it’d definitely be having partnered up with the Autism society of America. Justin Gathje will be wearing our fight shorts with the puzzle piece ribbon on the back of his fight shorts. in support of the foundation. The biggest challenge, as most would say, is gaining the exposure needed to highlight our brand. We know the name is great and the quality is better. We want to put it in everyone’s hands so they see for themselves how awesome Bülge Clothing really is.

What can we expect from you guys in the future?

We will have some interesting brand expansions in unexpected markets. We have so many avenues we can take our brand through, but don’t want to burn out quickly so we’re pacing our releases. But trust me, it’s going to be awesome!!

We thank the guys at Bülge for answering our questions! Go check out the Bülge Underwear site!

Why isn't men's underwear mainstream-I have been running UNB for 7 years. Over the years I have seen more mass market acceptance of men’s underwear. The rise of the Metrosexual made it more acceptable for straight guys to start paying attention to what they wore. However, we still have a very long way to go to make it a non issue in public.

Women’s underwear has always been a non issue in the general public. Victoria’s Secret every year around Thanksgiving has a show on network TV in prime time. Rarely is anything said about this in the media or in general. What if 2(X)ist did the same thing. Would they be on a network TV or a cable channel? Would we see guys walking the runway in anything but trunks and briefs? Doubtful.

Underwear is about feeling great. I know on the people reading this I am preaching to the choir. Is it sexy? Yes it is. Its is fun? Sure is. But why is it that we can have thonged Victoria Secret models but when David Beckham is in a Super Bowl commercial we talk about hiding his bulge? Its definitely a double standard in the US.

Recently we posted about musician Steve Grand and wearing swim briefs. He’s tired of the press, pardon the pun, covering him more for wearing a swim brief than this professional career. He’s a very talented artist and would we have the same coverage of a female star in the same situation. Sure they may post a paparazzi picture but they wouldn’t dwell on it and only cover her if she wore a bikini. It would be a bonus for her and more people would discover her music. There is definitely a double standard in our country.

Outside of the gay community guys, for the most part, don’t talk underwear. It’s still something that is giggled at and thought of as pornographic. I have first hand knowledge of this thought process. When people find out I run a blog about men’s underwear. I get one of two responses. The first is “WOW that’s so cool” or “You do what?” The second is always a bit weird like they just met Larry Flint. They think it’s a totally sexual thing with no redeeming factors. Like I just post pictures of guys and go “he’s hot”, “Look at that bulge”, “I want to tap that ass” and other stuff.

For me and the purpose of UNB is to spread the word about how underwear can make you feel better and sexy throughout the day. It’s about empowerment in what you wear without judgment. In 2008 when I launched UNB I figured the blog would be for my friends who loved underwear and it wouldn’t go much farther. After 7 years we have gathered quite a following. Our straight guys have grown as well. All guys want amazing underwear regardless of sexual orientation.

How are we going to accomplish breaking out of this double standard? Regardless of sexual orientation we need to talk about underwear. What brands we love and why we love them. If we wear underwear to the gym don’t be afraid to wear something that isn’t a white brief and if someone comments (good or bad) address it and say you wear what’s comfortable and makes you feel great. These are baby steps but sometimes that just how things get done, slowly but surely. So go out, wear what you like, and don’t be afraid to talk about it, to defend it. Underwear is about you but with continued dialogue we can help make it acceptable for us.

madridIt’s Fetish FRIDAY! How many of you out there are excited? How many are participating? If you aren’t think about doing it next week or on a date! Most Fetish Friday’s we cover something skimpy and small. Let’s face it there are a lot of us out there who love this type of underwear. Bare as you dare as they say. And there is nothing wrong with that at all!

There are other pairs that are considered fetish that aren’t skimpy. When anything larger comes to mind I think of leather shorts or chaps. We aren’t going that far this week but we do have a super fun pair. It’s the Pikante Drako Boxer. What makes this pair so much fun is the sides. Each side has three straps that join the front and back. Which will show off a little skin on the sides!

The Drako boxer is made out of a shiny 95% polyester 5% spandex fabric. It gives it a sort of rubber/latex look. The front does have a contoured pouch that will give you some great support. The back is a full back (well where the straps end) as well. The waistband is a shiny almost metallic Pikante waistband that really off sets the pair.

The color of the pair is something that may throw you. Each side of the boxer is a different color. The gold is gold in the front but red in the back. Where as the black is black in front and white in the back. This design feature really gets the pair off well. It’s creative and super fun.

If you are looking for something different and fun we suggest you check out the Pikante Drako Boxer. Get either the Gold, Black or both! Find this pair at Candyman Fashion for $34.48

SodaEarlier this week we brought you the new Ibiza from Marcuse. They have also released a new range called Peep! The new Peep line reminds me of Lucky Jeans. If you are familiar with the brand when you unzip the zipper it says “Lucky You.” I love that about them. Now Marcuse has brought this fun feature to the world of men’s underwear.

The line is a hipster design that comes in 4 colors. Each one of the colors has a different saying. It again like the Ibiza is fun without being over the top. Unlike novelty underwear this is only seen if you show it to someone. If you don’t want them to see, they may not know there is any sayings written on the pair.

Here is what Marcuse tells us about the range:

Peep – Peep if you’re cheeky! Designed in a hipster style to sit low on the hips, Peep is simply decorated with a printed metallic 3D logo waistband with a cheeky ‘greeting’ under the horizontal fly front. Made with cotton/elastane fabric that breathes, this fun pair of underwear will comfortably showcase your masculinity.
Price – AUD$19.95
Size. XS – L
Colour and greeting
Red – Welcome back!
White – G’day Stranger!
Sky – Hello!!!
Yellow – Enjoy!

Find all the colors and sayings on the Marcuse site!

THE HARDEST (1)UnderGear’s time is numbered, from what I gather from my sources. Their social media accounts haven’t  been updated since June. As I said in my UnderGear post, it’s sad to see this icon go. There is one thing I know many of you out there will miss. The UnderGear models. They were the first company that I remember people going “Who is that model?”

When they found a great model they usually stuck with them for a few shoots. So there are plenty of pictures on the net of your favorite. I wanted to do a “Where are they now?” post but I was having trouble track down the models. If anyone out there knows one of these guys, let us know we would love to interview one or two!

216549_10150150976559375_1114674_nChristopher Fawcett  – Christopher was one model they used a lot in UnderGear. He did both underwear and clothing shoots. On top of that he was in one of their runway shows at a bar in NYC. He has the boy next door looks that made him popular. He was one of my favorites I will admit.

465887_10150919300739375_2040298342_oWill Grant – Will is a BMX biker and bodybuilder/fitness competitor. He posed for UnderGear for a swim and underwear campaign. I wish they would have used him more than that shoot! He has gone on to do some more modeling right after UnderGear but lately he’s not modeled any underwear.

1475825_10152073193754375_1108210826_nThierry Pepin – Thierry is no stranger to the world of underwear modeling. You probably have seen him do a few of the Gregg Homme campaigns. His tattoos make him pretty memorable. At the end of UnderGear he was often used for all the UnderGear brands.

456983_10150919300984375_440140269_oRadoslav Vanko – Radoslav is one model I found that had no social presence. I don’t know much about him other than some of the swimwear campaigns they featured him in. I also didn’t find where he modeled for other brands after UnderGear.

10600469_10152881564734375_7157887020816326101_nAdam Ayash – Adam was another model they used quite a bit. He graced the pages of the catalog in both swimwear and underwear. He’s still modeling and embraces his UnderGear past. His Instagram feed has a few #tbt featuring past UnderGear pictures.

1016287_10152159053264375_1968883349_n

James Guardino – James is another one of those guys, you know his face but may not have known his name. James appeared the most when I searched for UnderGear pictures. He’s still modeling in the world of underwear and you will see him with other brands.

AG768_M_J12Devon Spence – Devon wasn’t one that was too big on the site. He was one of the non-white models they used. UnderGear was never shy to use models from all races. We are glad they included him as a model.

1269961_10151834737114375_1968465097_oPaul Marron – Is another one like James. He was a staple for a time in the UnderGear catalogue. He appeared regularly in swimwear and underwear. Paul is one that really sticks out when I think of UnderGear.

10430481_10152868998364375_8694925939902991357_n Joe LoCicero – Joe is one who was at the end of the UnderGear run. He’s been seen by other brands on the market. He’s still working and looks amazing in underwear. I hope we get to see a lot more from him.

They also had two celebrity models.

52490_464729404374_3925219_oPhilip Fusco – Philip worked with them for a shoot on a roof top. It was one of the editorial campaigns they shot back in the day. Philip continues to work in the world of underwear and has his own line called #philcity.

10399043_100234134374_7435836_nScott Herman – This reality start of Real World Brooklyn turned to the world of Fitness. Back in 2008 he did a few pictures for UnderGear. He did some other underwear back in the day including Baskit. In the recent years I haven’t seen him do much for specific brands. He’s now focusing on the fitness industry.

These are only a handful of the models they used over the last few years. Over the history they had tons of great guys who modeled for them. We need to find a new catalogue to have amazing guys model underwear!

This is part two of our Model Profiles! This past Monday we ran the post on Morné’s husband Eric Turner. This is his interview. Both are truly amazing guys! I hope we see a lot more of Morné soon. He recently shot for Eric’s underwear line, Oryx!

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

A: a runway show for Ralph Lauren golf gear. Got it through a small sports modelling agency

What made you want to pursue modeling?

A: I would not say modelling is something that I pursued as such, it was more of a hobby and something I did for fun when I could fit it in around my day job.

Do you have a  shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

A: the very first shoot I ever did, was with Joseph Sinclair. Up to that point I really didn’t believe that I could take good pictures, but after seeing the images from the shoot it changed my mindset and gave me belief in myself. If it wasn’t for that first shoot I probably never would have started modeling.

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

A: very difficult to say as they are all fun, but if I had to pick, probably shooting on location in Ibiza with Dylan Rosser. We were basically on an amazing holiday in an amazing place, and shot in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the world. It was also our first experience shooting together, which even tho we were nervous about it at first, it turned out to be a lot of fun and we really enjoyed working together!

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

A: I did a shoot in a derelict building outside of London. It was a huge factory building that had stood in ruin for many years. We were in some places high up in the structure of the building shooting some of the raw backgrounds, but with holes in the floor with a clear drop of several story’s, stair cases would just end in mid air and we would have to climb up to get the next floor, even had to walk over a beam with sheer drops on either side of several story’s. It was a health and safety nightmare and in retrospect could have gone horribly wrong, but that added to the theme of the shoot and the pictures turned out great

IMG_5877Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?
Rick Day, Pat Lee and Luis Rafael

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

A: i have three passions in life. Animals, playing piano and food. My parents live on a wild life reserve in South Africa which is amazing. The reserve runs a lion conservation program. When I visit them I can spend hours just sitting there watching the lions and there are few things I find more fascinating than that. I also absolutely adore dogs. Even more than people I’d say lol. I taught myself how to play the piano and that is my favourite form of self expression and creative outlet. I just lose myself in the music and can sit there playing until my fingers cramp! Lastly I have a long standing love affair with food. I love being in the kitchen, trying new recipes and cooking for friends and family. Eating to me is an experience that brings people together and not just something you do to survive

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

A: Generally I try and eat as sensibly as I can. I avoid fats and simple carbs and eat a lot of lean meats, although I do have cheat meals. When I’m preparing for a shoot, I just stop the cheat meals and start increasing the cardio I do in the morning before breakfast.

Favorite cheat meal?

A: I have a massive sweet tooth and love cake, especially the ones I bake myself. I have a couple of kick ass recipes!

IMG_3084

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

A: Yes. Especially in photography. I find it incredibly sexy if done well

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of?  % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

A: 50% briefs, 50% trunks

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

A: a cock sock. They are hideous but funny at the same time

What are your goals for your career?

A: I would like to be in senior management of my company in 5 years, be able to retire when I’m around 50 and start my own charity

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

A: modelling has a shelf life. Don’t rely on it and have a career you can fall back on

honeyWere you a big fan of SUPADUPA? if you were the collection is back! They have done a bit of tweaking of the design. That includes a modern update and a more enhanced pouch! SupaWear is known for their fun take on underwear. The SUPADUPA line is the “basics” of the line! We say that because it’s the very clean lines and solid colors. The term basics sometimes scares guys off. They want a well designed pair not one that barely meets the basic needs. But don’t let term basic that fool you, it’s made very well and will fit amazing!

This is what SupaWear says about the new line:

“Introducing SUPADUPA MK2! Everything you loved about the original SUPADUPA is back. Expect a form fitted design, and a low rise waist as well as a lined pouch for extra support and comfort. This collection has been revamped with an enhanced pouch as well as a clean modern update.

Also introducing the jock-brief, a revolutionary jockstrap that gives you the same support and lift as a brief while maintaining everything you love about a jockstrap.”

The colors in the collection are blue, green, red and white.  Each style is topped with a SUPAWEAR branded wiasitband. SUPADUPA MK2 is available in three styles. The classic brief and trunk, but this new collection is joined by a jock brief. This is a new cut of the SUPADUPA line!

We hope you will check out the collection. The Brief and Jock Brief retail for $22 AUD and the Trunk retails for $24.20 AUD at the SUPAWEAR site

New (2)I am always happy to seen new lines from Marcuse. The brand has a very unique and sexy style. In their underwear lines they haven’t created many prints. The Ibiza is a really fun and colorful print that I really love. Prints are my new favorite in underwear. More brands are bringing out their creative side and trying different prints. They range from prints like the Ibiza line to geometric and everything in between.

They have tried something new and I think it’s paid off well!  The prints are tropical but not to kitchy. I have to say these are my favorite prints of this year! Marcuse is no stranger to making a guy look amazing. Previous collections have always been super sexy but over the top!

Here is what Marcuse told us about the new line:

Marcuse taps into Ibiza, providing the perfect themed look for our brand’s printed underwear. We reckon you’ll soak up the vibe in these classic ocean-inspired silhouette prints, fitted with elastic waistband to hug your masculine waist. Where ever you seek the sun and the pulsating rhythm of life, throw in your pair of Marcuse Ibiza briefs!

Fabric. 95% Cotton 5% Elastane. Price. AUD$21.95 (US $16.05). Size. XS – L. Colour. Orange, yellow, white and sky. Ibiza also comes in a gift box of 4, (one of each colour) and the price is AU$69.95 (US $51.14)

Find the entire Ibiza line at the Marcuse site!

july25-32CA-RIO-CA Wear is on fire this year. They did a runway show for LA Fashion Week and now have followed it up with a show in Miami. Their colorful swimwear is prefect for a runway show. Its making me wish I could get a chance to see a show! We will have more on them very soon! But in the mean time enjoy the pics!

We have along history with Eric Turner here at UNB. He has always supported us and been a good friend to the blog. He is one of the first models I ever met. He’s never had attitude, but he’s always been a pleasure to work with. He is also one of the funniest people I know! He’s now branched out and started his own line of underwear called Oryx

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

When I was 16 I knew a woman who was doing a runway show that involved hair modeling. She asked me to do it, so I did.

What made you want to pursue modeling?

I don’t know if I’d say modeling is something I’ve ever truly ‘pursued.’ It’s something I’ve always as a fun, side thing to everything else I have going on. It just so happens that it’s lead to other opportunities in my life, but I’ve never actually pursued the modeling.

Do you have a shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

The first time I met with an agent, she looked at several photos I’d had taken, and then looked across her desk at me and said, “There’s nothing I can do to help you.” So I determined that I needed to be realistic about my modeling ‘expectations’ and get a real job. I moved to Phoenix a couple years later, and Carlos Arias tried to convince me to shoot. It took him a year to convince me to finally shoot, and after we did it opened up all sorts of other opportunities for me.

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

Morne’ and I shot with Dylan Rosser in Ibiza. Aside from Dylan being a really great and fun guy, the shoot was an excuse for a vacation in paradise. When we weren’t shooting with Dylan, we were experiencing everything the Mediterranean had to offer: incredible food, amazing scenery and sunsets, and some of the most incredible beaches in the world. They say that everything in life is better when you have someone to share it with, and it just ended up being an incredible experience, being able to experience it with Morne’.

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

The first time I shot with Pat Lee in Chicago, it was the day before a bodybuilding show. As such, I was very depleted, with low energy, and little water. We ended up getting incredible shots, but I’ve never cramped so bad in all my life, as when I was trying to flex and hold poses for Pat.

Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?

Now having started my own brand of underwear, Oryx, it’s been my main focus for shoots. I’ve been really lucky to have worked with some world-class photographers. Of anyone I can think I’d want to shoot with, it’s Simon Le, in Australia. But the distance has posed a problem. And if he was still living, I’d JUMP at the opportunity to shoot with Herb Ritts. He was an incredible photographer, and every one of his images has become iconic when thinking about the male figure. Two I would also like to work with are Serge Lee and Tibo Norman

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

I’m actually really shy and get really bad social anxiety around people I don’t know. If I’m at a house party, I’ll always be up against the wall, minding my own business- and never the guy who is the life of the party, unless I feel really comfortable with the people who are there.

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

When I’m prepping for a shoot I increase my cardio slowly over the weeks preceding the shoot, and I start cycling my carbs. It’s unhealthy to go completely low carb. So I’ll have days where I do low carb to draw the fat out, but then days with medium and high carbs to re-energize myself.

Favorite cheat meal?

Cake, cookies, and ice cream. I LOVE baked goods.

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

Absolutely. I had several drawers full of underwear, most of them I’d never even wear.

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of? % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

I’d say 60% briefs, 30% trunks, and 10% boxer briefs. No thongs and no jock straps.

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

As a gag one year for Halloween I wore a thong that had an elephant trunk in the front.

What are your goals for your career?

To build Oryx to be a lifestyle brand that comes to people’s minds when they think of quality and great fitting underwear.

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

Be realistic. Honestly, the best thing that ever happened to me was the agent who told me that I’d never be a model. It made me realize how fickle this industry is. A model can be the most perfect model one person has ever seen, and to the person next to them they can be hideous looking. That experience helped me to realize that if I was ever going to do any modeling, that it needed to be something I did on the side, because I’d never make a living out of it- at least not a long-term career. Most models have such unrealistic expectations. At any given time, there are 5 or 6 supermodels in the world, and none of them are male. So having realistic expectations of what to expect out of a ‘modeling career’ is critical to not only not be disappointed, but having a real job that’s going to provide for you.

9002 (6)UndiesMonday is all about wearing what you love! Its not that you have to wear a fetish pair, a thong or mesh. It’s about wearing underwear you feel great in wearing. Embracing your personal style and loves. Then making sure you wear a very good part on a Monday. Why not make Monday a better day by wearing something that makes you feel amazing!

This week’s pair we are profiling is the Clever X-Long Boxer. Like we said above not everyone is going to want to wear something skimpy. Other guys love boxer briefs and longer underwear. Long boxer briefs definitely offer some advantages over other pairs. They can give you extra support in our legs. I tend to wear them when I”m going to be very active. The tight material makes me feel better while doing more strenuous activities.

Long Boxer briefs are very sexy too. This may sound like a contradiction for me. However, I love how they make the legs look. A guy with great legs will look amazing in these. Especially if you have bigger thighs. It shows off the development without giving the whole package away. Not all guys like showing if all off, they like to leave some to the imagination.

The Clever X-Long Boxer come just above the knee. They are made out of a 94% cotton/6% spandex blend. The pair will definitely give you some support and conform to your body. Available in 4 colors; Black, blue, green and white. You can find this pair at the Candyman Fashion site for $28.48. Check out all the pairs!
