First, before starting this post, I’m sorry for the delays this past week. I have a family member in the hospital, and it’s been stressful and draining for the last week. However, we have rounded a corner, and things are significantly improving!! This is a good thing, and I hope to have more podcasts back in production and write more on the blog. I plan to write, but this past week has all gotten in the way. But here, let’s talk about lingerie for men. If you aren’t a fan, you can skip the post.
I was having a conversation with a friend who loves lingerie this week. We talked about it, and he’s a massive fan of it. He looks incredible in it. I’m jealous of how he looks in it. Take the masculine, muscular guy and put him in full lingerie, and that is this guy. He’s a guy you would never know who is into lingerie at all.
As we talked, we shared what we liked about it. I shared that no matter your role in bed (take it as you will, whether gay, bi, or straight), lingerie is for everyone. It doesn’t diminish your role or make you less masculine. It’s about wearing something that makes you feel incredibly sexy. I have partaken in lingerie from time to time and enjoyed it. It’s a mix of taboo; I shouldn’t be wearing this, and an immense feeling of sexual energy. Connecting with someone who sees things the same way is always great.
He mentioned that lingerie is lacking for men and prefers lingerie for women. Due to the amount out there, he has way more to choose from. This got me thinking, and I said, “You know you are right; there are no collections you can buy in the same line that feature options for a thong, g-string, or bikini. Not all guys have the same taste in lingerie, and we must put a set together and choose what we like best. Several brands are doing a great job at it, but we haven’t hit a critical mass that companies are willing to invest in more men’s lines with options like women’s.
Here’s what I want to see:
- There should be more color options for men. I think there is black, red, pink, and occasionally white. Let’s see the entire rainbow of colors and pastels.
- More options for sets that match. I know many guys who want to get the garter, stockings, panties, and more but want to have options in the same color that you can mix and match.
- Acceptance in the larger community to let guys wear sexy lingerie and not be judged for their masculinity, sexuality, or any issue. More guys need to be able to be their authentic selves.
I know many guys who want to explore lingerie but are scared to do so. I say do it and enjoy it. Live your best life, and don’t let anyone tell you what you should wear for underwear or lingerie. We need to support our other underwear guys, even if it’s not our thing.
