Today is the last Swimwear Sunday of 2017. We have profiled some awesome pairs over this swimwear journey. From basics to dare as you bare. And I think everything in between. The last one I wanted something spectacular and scoured the net for something amazing. And I think I found it. I choose something I LOVE and would wear!
A company we will interview soon is The MerTailor. One of their pairs really jumped out at me. It’s the Octopus Rock Gold Bomber Trunk. It’s a print of different color octopus on a solid background. This print is super fun to me and amazing. It is a MUST have for me! I like to have swimwear that is fun and different from the regular solids. If you look through the site you will see, yes they have solids, but the prints are amazing.
The trunk is a style I will wear now. I need to get in better shape for swimwear in 2018. the Mertailor Bomber Boxer is a classic cut from the brand. They make a point to say there is plenty of room up front for your sailor. Meaning it has ample room up front for any guy to rock on the beach.
The swimwear is made out of a polyamide and spandex blend. Meaning it will fit great and hold its shape. Also, made for salt or chlorinated water. The white should not be see through. Unlike some brands, I feel this one will have everything lined and now show off. Which is important to me. I don’t want to be arrested on the beach.
If you love this print as much as I do. I have good and bad news. First the bad news, it’s not available in a brief. The good news is it’s available in runners! We bring you a fun look back at the UNB Archives. This is one of my favorite posts we do because it allows me to see things we did a few years ago. This was a picture we ran featuring the new JOR for 2014. We hope you enjoy this look back.
One company that I keep seeing on Instagram is JJ Malibu. They caught my attention first by their fabric. It’s different patterns/prints that are pretty fun and eye catching. The second was the cut. Each pair is a brief/bikini cut. Lastly, was the pouch. The JJ Malibu has what looks to be an awesome pouch.
The prints are just four designs. The camo, F-U, Fruity, and Pineapple. My favorite is the F-U design. If you haven’t figured it out it’s “Fuck you.” The print is of being shot the bird. To me, it wasn’t noticeable at first. It wasn’t till I looked a little harder. I mean, if you have a bad day how cool would it be to wear a pair that says fuck you! It’s amazing! As we say share your personality in your underwear.
The cut and pouch go hand in hand. I personally haven’t tried the brand yet but they look pretty awesome. I have seen pics of the pairs on guys with big bulges and junk in the trunk. They have given pairs to some Instagram guy. The fit looks amazing. The fabric stretches and conforms to many different body types. The pouch looks like a well-designed pouch that will give you ample support and do a bit of showing off your junk.

It’s great to see a company going all in on bikinis! It’s about time we get a full come back on the bikini brief. It has long been a favorite of mine. JJ Malibu is one brand I want to try very soon.

When We were in Vegas covering Project/Magic, we asked you guys if you shopped at Amazon. We got some really interesting results. More of you guys shopped Amazon than I thought you did! It appears that Amazon may be the new UnderGear. Meaning it will be the place where guys start discovering underwear.
21% of guys who responded said they shop Amazon regularly. While another 21% said they shop but not often. The most interesting one was the 36% of guys who have browsed but not bought. Only 4% said they didn’t think of Amazon for undies. So this is really interesting.
The readers don’t shop big brand undies online. Most of the guys answering go for smaller brands. There are some great smaller brands on there but some not so good ones. it’s still buyer beware. If you get a pair that is similar to a big name, don’t expect it to be the same quality. But don’t get me started on counterfeit undies. We love to get a deal but on the real undies.

There are downsides to Amazon. I worked for an underwear retailer who was on Amazon. The first is the images. You don’t see the underwear on guys. That means there is no nudity or anything with mesh. It has to be on mannequins. Unlike other UnderGear, you won’t find a favorite model or see the underwear in real life.

Another brand we met with in Vegas was Hashtag Hooker. It was a coincidence they were there. They weren’t attending Project. But this is their Mick Swim Trunk. We hope you will check it out!
We are winding our way down in the Swimwear Sunday segment. Only one more left before we retire the segment till next year! We have had a variety of pairs over this summer. They range from beginners to show off level. We have guys along every part of that spectrum. Today we thought we would go to the show off side of the spectrum. We have profiled a few but not a lot of barely there, wear if you dare pairs.

Swimwear Sunday is about getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things. Not letting others tell you that you should wear board shorts or shorts to the beach. It’s about starting a swimwear revolution in the US and let guys regardless of sexual orientation where what ever they want on what ever beach they want.
If you don’t want to rock these Gian Gianni has some amazing prints in larger cuts as well but give this one a look over. Oh one more thing. Look at the size chart! They run smaller than other brands.

If you were a fan of the Maverick swimwear line from N2N Bodywear, the line is back! If you aren’t familiar with the line, it’s a smaller line with a very enhancing pouch. You will show it off to everyone when you wear this pair. We wouldn’t recommend wearing it to a family friendly beach.
The Maverick is back in a bikini and thong. The Maverick bikini is definitely a bikini cut. It has a built in c-ring (double snap adjustable cock ring). The c-ring will take what you have and enhance it. It also has a Xtreme N-Hance pouch. The pouch along with the c-ring will put everything front and center. Lastly, the pair has a draw string and is unlined. Some guys this is important while other guys shy away from this because it leaves little to the imagination.
The Maverick Thong is back as well. We have had many questions to whether N2N Bodywear would release a swim thong. Well, wait no further here it is. It has the same features as the bikini. The built in c-ring, Xtreme N-Hance pouch, unliked but no draw string waistband. Thongs really don’t need one, especially swim thongs.
Both the lines are made out of an 83% nylon / 17% spandex fabric blend. The colors for the pairs are pretty awesome. The colors are green, mango, fuschia, and Pacific blue. Each one of the colors are bold and bright. But let’s face it the bold colors are just icing on the cake. The other features will draw attention to you more than the color.
