The Aurora SportLab™ Athletic Cup is a first-of-its-kind protective system designed to finally solve a problem athletes have lived with for decades: choosing between comfort and protection. With SportLab™ technology at its core, this innovative cup delivers both—without compromise.
Developed over two years of real-world testing with youth, college, and professional athletes, the SportLab™ cup absorbs impact while remaining flexible, lightweight, and comfortable. Unlike traditional rigid cups that restrict movement and cause discomfort, this system moves with your body—so you stay protected without losing performance.
For too long, athletes have ditched cups altogether because they were bulky, uncomfortable, or distracting. Aurora refused to accept that trade-off. The result is a completely re-engineered athletic cup that reduces discomfort, minimizes pressure, and allows natural movement during play.
Paired with Aurora’s tailor-made compression shorts, the system features an integrated cup pocket architecture that prevents shifting, eliminates constant readjustment, and enhances breathability. The shorts are designed with athletic performance in mind—keeping everything secure, comfortable, and exactly where it belongs.
The Aurora SportLab™ Athletic Cup isn’t just protection—it’s confidence, comfort, and freedom to perform at your best.

A brand for those who have been around the blog is Score underwear. This brand went out of business in the early 2010’s but did some great pics featurein Phillip Fusco. While they didn’t last their pictures occasionally turn up on Tumblr or other sites.
Did you catch our last episode of the podcast? We featured the amazing brand of swimwear Called Bear Threads, swim briefs for guys of all sizes. Also if you use this link you can get 10% off your order.
ES collection is a brand that doesn’t mind showing off, well pretty much everything. They make underwear sexy and fun. Could this be the next ‘gay’ brand?
If you are a spandex fan and love to bulge, the N2N Bodywear Pouch Biker is just for you. It’s low cut in the front and has their incedible Nhance pouch, which is one of the best pouches on the market. You can wear these around the house or if you are bold enough and have the right gym, to work out in as well. Check out the N2N Site for the pairs.
I should have added an editor’s note to the podcast, and I may still do it, but in 2026 I have set a goal to get to know more guys into underwear, Speedos, spandex, and more! Note, I didn’t say resolution, I hate resolutions, but this is something I am very passionate about. When I find guys who love any of those things I listed, it usually kicks off a great friendship. I am thankful I have met so many guys through the blog and podcast, but I want to meet more and build a group of friends that I can travel with, and get to know on and offline.
How am I making that happen?
First, feel free to send me messages on any of the socials. I try to respond to guys in a timely fashion; however, with my work and school, I may be a little slower. Also, there is that pesky other in box on socials that I don’t always notice. If you don’t hear back after sending me a message, post a comment on my most recent post and say HEY I SENT YOU A DM.
Who am I looking for to chat with?
EVERYONE, I’m not concered on sexual orientation, size, race, or location. I want to find guys with whom I can connect on gear and take it further, and make it a real and deep friendship that I can have for the rest of my life. I have met some amazing straight guys who are bigger underwear fans than I am. Once we both open up with the most personal thing we wear, we then find other areas where we are compatible.
What if i don’t like the same things as you?
That’s fine, we all have our own preferences, and I love to find out how guys got into the gear they love, what their favorite gear is, and how they celebrate their gear side. Plus, I love learning about gear I might not have considered or understood. An example is pup play I didn’t know but I have done some in the space and its something I enjoy.
I am hoping i can do a lot of short content here and bring out what I am planning to do this year, I don’t have a lot of time to do the posts I used to do, and am focusing on the podcast, but I need to do more than brief distractions. I love you guys and hope to hear from you.
We all need to walk on the wild side, and one brand letting you make your fantasies become reality is Cellblock 13. You can get underwear, spandex gear, harneses and hoods. I say embrace your kink side and enjoy what come
Brief Talk Podcast – Featuring JD from BearThreads
This week on the Brief Talk Podcast, Tim sits down with JD, founder of BearThreads, a swimwear brand designed to celebrate bigger bodies, confidence, and self-expression—without compromise.
JD shares the personal journey that led him to launch BearThreads, born out of frustration with how traditional swimwear is graded for larger waists but not real bodies. What started as a mission to create better-fitting shorts evolved into bold, body-positive swim briefs that center comfort, fit, and—yes—the pouch.
The conversation dives deep into why pouch design matters, how BearThreads balances showcasing without exaggeration, and why men of all sizes deserve swimwear that makes them feel confident and seen. JD and Tim also talk openly about masculinity, body image, American swimwear culture, and the freedom that comes from wearing what you actually want—not what society says you should.
They explore:
Why most swimwear flattens instead of celebrates
The difference between Speedos made for competition and fashion swim briefs
Why confidence—not body type—is the key to pulling off bold swimwear
Mini briefs vs. classic cuts and how different styles change proportions
How swim briefs can spark connection, conversation, and community
Giving yourself permission to wear what you love, at any size
JD also shares advice for guys who are curious about swim briefs but hesitant to try them, encouraging listeners to stop negotiating with themselves and start choosing what truly makes them feel good.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in swimwear, confidence, masculinity, or redefining how men show up—at the beach, the pool, and in their own bodies.

Every once in a while, a guest comes on Brief Talk and the conversation just flows. No walls. No posturing. Just two people talking honestly about how gear, kink, and confidence show up in real life.
That’s exactly what happened when I sat down with Pup Hermes.
What starts as a conversation about thongs quickly becomes something much bigger. We talk about discovering underwear and fetish gear at a young age, growing up in a conservative environment, and what it means to lean into the things that make you feel confident—especially when the world around you tells you to tone it down.
Pup Hermes shares what it was like wearing thongs in high school (yes, really), how underwear became a private source of confidence before it ever became public, and how that confidence grew once he found spaces where being different wasn’t just accepted—it was celebrated.
We also talk about San Francisco, working at Mr. S Leather, winning Mr. San Francisco Rubber 2017, and how being surrounded by like-minded people can completely change how you see yourself. When you’re no longer the “only one,” everything shifts.
But one of my favorite parts of this episode is that it doesn’t stay focused only on sex or gear.
We get into the idea that fetish spaces don’t have to be just about hooking up. That there’s room for friendship, chosen family, movie nights, gym buddies, and community—without losing the sexual energy that brought everyone together in the first place.
We talk about keeping the gear on.
We talk about creativity in play.
We talk about knowing your audience, reading the room, and owning your confidence without apology.
And honestly, it’s refreshing.
This episode isn’t just for thong guys. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt like their interests were “too much,” or who struggled to find people that really get them. It’s a reminder that when you own who you are, you don’t just change your own experience—you give other people permission to do the same.
If you love gear, kink, spandex, or just real conversations that go deeper than the surface, this is one you don’t want to miss.
Give it a listen.
Get to know Pup Hermes.
And maybe take a little inspiration into your own life.

Real Men Apparel has burst onto the underwear scene, making quite a splash. They sent me their new jock, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I love the bikinis they make, and to get their take on the jock, well, I hoped they would make an incredible jock. And yes, Real Men did furnish this jock for review, but all opinions are my own.
Rating: 9.6/10 (Average of the ratings below

The Pros: A great modern take on the jock with incredible pouch options. Fun colors to wear that aren’t just black or white. The pouch itself gives more ample support.
The Cons: If you are a classic jock guy, this one is more fashion in appearance, but it definitely can be a sports jock. I was told that some guys are having issues with it rubbing their taint, but I never experienced it. Make sure you pay attention to the pouch size guide.
Summary: Real Men Apparel’s new jock offers a modern twist on the classic design, featuring a supportive, size-customizable pouch and vibrant color options. The reviewer praises its comfort, fit, and suitability for active use, though notes it may not appeal to those seeking a traditional jock look. Some users have reported minor fit issues, but overall, the product is highly recommended for its quality and thoughtful design.
First off, if you aren’t familiar with Real Men, they offer different pouch sizes for each style. They range from A to D, with A being the smallest and D the largest. This pouch design would be great in a jock. And let me tell you, these didn’t disappoint.
I wore these to work one day to give them the workout they deserved. I am very active at both my jobs, and if they could hold up to my day, it would be amazing. When I slid the pair on, I was immediately taken by the pouch. I received the C pouch, and it fits and cradles your goods in a way that feels amazing. This immediately propelled it to the top of my jock list. I like a jock that gives support, without crushing everything or flattening the pouch. These, I think, maybe enhanced the bulge just a bit.
The design is much of a classic jock, minus the wide waistband. The pouch is made for those who don’t like a center seam. A strip of fabric is placed in the center to prevent rubbing or chafing from the seam. Speaking of the fabric, it’s a Breathable Nylon Mesh. Perfect for working out or for everyday wear. The leg straps are a great size and really hold in place well, without rolling or slipping out of place much. Plus, there are some fun colors for those of you who love more than just white and black.
I love this jacket and would recommend it. They are $29.99 at the Real Men site, but use our affiliate link to get a discount. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Brief Talk Podcast — Brief Tale with Jason (“Plays Both Sides”)
In this episode of Brief Talk, Tim sits down with Jason—known online as Plays Both Sides—for an open, honest, and refreshingly candid conversation about underwear, masculinity, sexuality, and self-expression.
Jason is a straight guy who discovered thongs, jockstraps, and cheeky underwear later in life—and never looked back. What began as curiosity turned into confidence, community, and a full-on underwear lifestyle. Together, Tim and Jason unpack what it really means to feel sexy, why underwear doesn’t define sexuality, and how exploring personal style can unlock self-acceptance, better health, and deeper connections with others.
Episode Highlights
• Jason’s late-in-life discovery of thongs and jocks after years of wearing boxer briefs
• The moment he realized underwear could make him feel sexy, not just be functional
• How curiosity turned into collecting, researching brands, and engaging with the underwear community
• Why underwear choice has nothing to do with sexual orientation
• Navigating underwear exploration while in a long-term straight relationship
• Support, openness, and humor from Jason’s girlfriend—and where she draws the line
• Finding confidence, motivation, and improved health through feeling good in what you wear
• The surprising role of Jason’s gay brother and the Houston leather and kink community in his journey
• From Reddit friendships to in-person meetups—and even being gifted a bag of underwear
• Favorite brands, styles, colors, and the move from thongs into classic jockstraps
• Curiosity about lingerie, lace, corsets, and pushing past traditional ideas of masculinity
• Why more straight men are openly embracing underwear, jocks, and swimwear today
• Advice for guys who are curious but hesitant: try it—your underwear doesn’t define you
Why This Episode Matters
This conversation breaks down outdated ideas around masculinity and underwear. Jason’s story shows that exploring what makes you feel good—whether that’s thongs, jocks, or lingerie—is about confidence, not labels. It’s about doing something for yourself and finding community along the way.
