Early Junior high I think.
What style was your favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)?
Briefs have always been my favorite. I’ve tried boxers, boxer-briefs, trunks and thongs here and there, but I always come back to briefs.
When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?
Spalding lo-rise briefs were the first I bought with my own money. They were no fly lo-rise briefs with a white pipe down each side. They were comfortable and colorful
What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)
I started way back when the internet was just a gleam in BBS and AOL’s eyes, so catalogs and ad circulars in the paper are what influenced me. (Showing my age?)
Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying? Did you ever get a pair?
Brand’s really weren’t a thing then as they are now. It was more the style and colors I think people looked for. When someone said “underwear” back then, the first brands that came to mind were Hanes, Jockey, and FotL.
Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?
Definitely. At that time, the only options were briefs, lo-rise briefs and bikinis, or boxers. Boxers weren’t comfortable, regular briefs were boring, bikinis a bit too small… lo-rise were just right. Most of what I have today are lo-rise briefs of one brand or another, with or without a fly.
What is your favorite style today?
Still lo-rise briefs. The vast majority are lo-rise briefs. Though there are a few boxers, boxer briefs, and bikinis mixed in, but not many.
Who are you favorite brands now?
Aussiebum, Bunker, Calvin Klein, Go Software, Reebok are what I have the most of. Though the drawers also have a few Hanes, Hugo, 2xist, Tommy, and Jockey… among others mixed in.
Undies Monday is all about feeling sexy in your underwear. Finding that perfect style, fabric or brand you just fell amazing in. Fetish Friday is all about FUN. Its about embracing something outside your box and trying something new. It could be leather, satin, lace or more. There is no one definition of fetish wear! Much like our love of underwear it’s something different for everyone.
One of the most classic definitions for the general public for fetish wear involves the leather community. Specifically leather, latex and rubber materials. The pair we chose this week is the Modus Vivendi Latex Jock.
The Latex Jock, for those who maybe allergic, is a latex look rather than latex. If you are allergic before you order make sure you contact Modus Vivendi to make sure its not made out of any latex. Unlike traditional jocks this has a very wide waistband. It’s approximately 10 cm which translates to around 4 inches. The traditional classic jock has a 3 inch band. This means it is higher on the waist and they say it will give you a “new sensation”
Modus Vivendi is inspired by their Greek heritage. It shows through in this pair. It’s a different design from most western underwear companies. Also, Modus Vivendi is not afraid to try new things and experiment in their designs. Its just a lot of fun! Modus Vivendi to me, is one of the most innovative underwear/swimwear companies on the market today. I hope they never loose their sense of design and fun.

2EROS is going to be one of those companies in a few years that I look back on and go I knew them when. Jason at 2EROS makes awesome underwear and swimwear. Each time I don’t think he can out do him self he does. This is swimwear from 2013.
When the topic of thongs comes up I always think of the 2(X)ist Y-Back thongs. It is probably one of the most classic thongs on the market. When it was released men’s thongs were not big on the market as they are today. The Y-back thong was also some what of an innovation on the thong. I can’t remember any thongs that resembled it at that time. It is one of the classic thongs in the world of men’s underwear!
I was unaware that this was for sale. I thought that 2(X)ist had discontinued it. Which I wasn’t happy about. Then I was asking about them something else and threw out the I wish they had the thong. They responded its on the site! So I headed over and there it was, and it was hidden under Jocks!
So, why should you wear this pair for Thong Thursday? First, as I covered above it’s a classic. It is one thong I thing I have worn more than any others I have ever owned. I bough many pairs of this style over the years. Next, it’s a very good starter thong for those wanting to try thongs. The string isn’t bulky and its designed to fit just right. Lastly, its not too skimpy for a thong. That might sound counter intuitive for a thong. Not every guy likes to wear super small thongs.
The Essential Y-Back comes in just black and white. It’s the same colors they had when it first came out. You won’t hear me say this too often but I think it would look odd in other colors. The black and white kind of fit a classic pair of this sort.
I know this may not be for all of you out there. This thong has quite a following and many have said they missed it. If you want to get the pair, it’s now available in a two pack for $22 on the 2(X)ist website.
In February 2013 I got to meet the N2N Guys for the first time. It was awesome! They were in a suite in the Mandalay Bay and I got to see the new collection. They only go in February and I make it a point to get together with them! Each year we have more and more fun.
It’s Jockstrap Wendnesday! Are you loaded and strapped today? If not we have to ask why not? One of those reasons could be that you aren’t a fan of a lot of jock pouches. Sometimes they can be tight and restricting and makes you uncomfortable through the day. If this is your main issue with jocks we have one that may fit your needs!
That jock is the Activeman Lycra Contoured Pouch Jock. Activeman is a brand well known for making jocks. They have been around for many years. When Bike stopped making the #10 widely available. This pair interested me because it’s made out of lycra and has a specifically designed pouch. Let’s talk about the pouch first. The pouch is 3D designed. Meaning it’s more ergonomically designed to hold you in a natural positon. Many classic jocks don’t always do hold you well. They can bind and strict your natural position.
The Lycra fabric is one of my favorites. I love the way it conforms to your body. It fits you very well and gives you ample support. I think more jocks should have this fabric. I remember way back when I used to see jocks like this and always wondered where they were sold. It just adds to the sexy factor to me.
The jock itself has a has quarter inch waistband with the same matching straps. I personally love the white color. It reminds me of a classic jock but has a new spin on the classic. It is also available in black and red. You can find this on Jockstrap Central for $14.95.

Junk UnderJeans has been at the shows for a while. I love them so much. This year they had a big muscle guy as their model (Feb 2012). We have several pics of him in a thong, including the back! Each year their stuff gets better and better. They started with trunks with zippers and now have a variety of underwear!

When did you first discover your love of undies?In the 80’s as a teenager – loved the very skimpy styles that were fashionable then and probably like most guys used to like looking at the catalogues with guys in their underwear – no internet then!!

Loved very skimpy briefs from the outset – tanga style were very fashionable and readily available back then. Also bikini brief style Never really liked boxers, have always been a briefs man!
When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?
I honestly cant remember! But I do remember going on a first holiday and going to Selfridges in Oxford Street and buying the smallest pair of string bikini swimming trunks – they were really tiny and I loved them! In fact I think I bought two pairs, one black and one bright red and I still love red underwear now!
What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)
Hope this doesn’t sound too odd but my older brother wore very brief underwear – I used to like trying his underwear no when he wasn’t around. Catalogues too were an influence.
Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying? Did you ever get a pair?
Right from the outset I loved HOM – string bikinis and their Fredy g strings look so good I think when I first started buying gstrings, Fredy were the ones I bought first (red of course and from Selfridges!)
Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?
Yes – have always like the very skimpy styles and although older now I still like and have a number of gstrings, thongs and small pouch briefs that are reminiscent of HOM styles. Love the HOM Plume gstrings!
What is your favorite style today?
I like all different styles but probably tiny pouch brief. Over the past few years I’ve really got to like jocks, and have quite a few pairs of the backless brief/jock style
Who are you favorite brands now?
Still really like HOM, Andrew Christian, don’t have any Joe Snyder but I think they are hot. An annoyance is that a lot of the brands like Joe Snyder don’t make larger sizes for the larger guy – such a shame!

When did you first discover your love of undies?
I discovered my love for undies when I was around 13/ 14. A very interesting time in my life, I was making more art but in a more serious manner, Coming to terms that I was Bisexual (well back then I just knew I liked boys and girls), as well as exploring what I would later in life consider to be fun colourful and sexy undies.

At first I was in love with boxer briefs. The main reason I thought boxers or briefs were the only choices for men/ boys (how silly of me to learn in many years later how truly foolish the idea of gender roles truly are). When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?
I bought my first pair of underwear when I was 16 (roughly when I started working) It was a pair of Hanes Bikini. As I’m sure many have experienced…the butterflies in your stomach as you look aimlessly at countless packages with men so sculpted on them that they put statues to shame. As far as brand went, I had always trusted Hanes. This made it a more comfortable transition from traditional to….new!
What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)?
I was more influenced by catalogues ( I wasn’t lucky enough to have the internet when I was younger), just the way the male and female models looked was amazing. Then again…money did play a big part, most times I couldn’t afford the styles that I loved so more often then not, I had to buy what I could afford.
Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying? Did you ever get a pair?
There are a few (I don’t think those companies are still around) However I did happen to get a few pairs (maybe not the best way) some were on sale, others were given to me. Mind you, most of the super sexy undies I received were from women.

I would say so, My undies are tighter and sexier (I feel). With my first pair being boxer briefs…not very hard
to beat something like that. A true story, Don’t get me wrong I do love wearing both boxers and briefs but they are more my lazy day go too undies.
What is your favorite style today?
My top undies are thong, cheeky, and boy shorts. Mind you Cheeky and Boy Shorts are pretty much the same thing< just a bit of differance in the amount of fabric. Anywho, I like them because of the fact that you still cet the comfort and coverage in the front and…a little showing off of the bum (Cheeky more so than Boy Shorts). Thong, Who doesn’t love a sexy secret?
Who are you favorite brands now?
My favourite brands are a large range so rather than sit here and type out a long and wordy list of brands but…I’ll do my top favourites and hope all are happy with that. Hanes, CandyMan, ManPower, Boy Rio, Timmys Secret, Ergo Wear. Like I said I don’t want to give away all my hidden brand Gems.

What happens when Magic Mike meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Its the movie Vampire Strippers Must Die! Which looks like a lot of fun. We got the new trailer and press release this week. We hope to interview a few of the guys in the movie. Here is the press release ”
A new trailer has been released today for Vampire Strippers Must Die!, a hilarious and sexy horror-comedy set to star America’s Next Top Model’s Bryant Wood and underwear supermodel Pablo Hernandez, in their first feature film acting roles. The script for the film previously won the New York LGBT Film Fest’s Screenwriting competition in 2010.
Set to go into production in November 2015, the wacky comedy by award-winning filmmaker Keith Hartman follows a group of American male strippers on tour in Eastern Europe faced with having to battle the undead. With fantastic dance numbers, jaw-dropping epic fight scenes, fun plot twists, and funny, yet memorable character moments, Vampire Strippers Must Die! will feature more hot boys than you can shake a stick at, and then some. The film will also star famous fitness model John Suazo, and other exciting new talent.
While the men of Chippendales perform in London, Paris and Milan, the men of Overnight Male are stuck playing low rent dive bars in Bulgaria. After six weeks on tour, everyone is getting just a teeny bit cranky. The straight strippers and gay strippers are ready to kill each other, and the only thing holding the band of American male strippers together is their geeky and resourceful tour manager, Jake. No matter what Eastern Europe throws at them, Jake’s been able to handle it, whether it’s been aggressive fans, thieving bar owners, broken buses, or even the occasional need for bail money. Vampires, though, are a new one.
Vampire Strippers Must Die! will feature a lonely vampire hunter who has never gotten over his high school boyfriend. A female vampire who has been in a bad relationship for 300 years, before finally discovering the small screen wisdom of Dr. Phil. And a pair of twin brothers who strip together but compete over everything.
Hartman’s previous two films, You Should Meet My Son! and Real Heroes, have earned “Best Picture” awards at nine film festivals, as well as “Best Director,” “Best Screenplay,” and several “Best Actor” awards for members of the cast.
The trailer is being released as part of the film’s Indiegogo campaign, which is seeking to raise $125,000 in production funds in 30 days. A successful campaign will give Hartman the resources for an ideal 18-day shoot, which will allow them to shoot all of the stunts, fight scenes and dance numbers to make this film as fresh and as exciting as possible.

Another first this week. At Curve I was able to meet up with Good Boy Gone Bad. They had hit the market the year before and I wanted to talk to them. They had a model that I loved. Little did I know it was Marko Lebeau a porn star. He’s super nice and I haven’t seen them in Vegas in a few years.
Magic & Curve start tomorrow! This is a video from a few years ago. Our videos are less and less. Last year everyone at Magic couldn’t have models. Which bites! We will be coming up with more videos soon!
One of the biggest trends in the world of men’s gear is spandex. In the last few years singlets have been some of the most popular gear on the market. No longer a piece of clothing wrestlers wear on the mat. It is now worn for athletic and erotic purposes. This love has spurred even more gear.
The latest are runners. You maybe asking what the hell are runners? They go by many names including leggings, running tights and spandex pants. Usually are full length to the ankle but could also be just below the knee. This style has been around since the 80’s and were very popular. In the 90’s and early 2000’s they fell out of style with the public.
In the last few years many runners have taken these up for running in colder weather. Also UnderArmour and Skins have been produced many types of these for sports and working out. These performance pairs are expensive and are designed for serious working out. But that hasn’t stopped the popularity of them. Just check out Tumblr, they have tons of blogs for each brand!
Why is the popularity increasing for these? Guys I think are feeling more confident and want to show off their worked out bodies. This goes for gay and straight. Many of the runners are straight.

Have you ever wanted to hear about how other guys found their love of underwear? You sometimes hear it online when you meet someone but for the most part you never hear, for the lack of better words, their origin story. We reached out to some of our readers to share how they discovered the love of underwear.
Each guy got a series of 8 questions. They all answered them and sent them back. Some included self pics and others didn’t. Not all guys are up for putting themselves in undies all over the net! We respect that and wanted them to share their passion.
The guys are gay, bi and straight. Some of them are younger and others are older. They come from all walks of life. Its a good cross section of our readers. You will get some insight on others and see how your own story matches each guys.
One thing amazed me is that there were a lot of similarities in the answers to the questions. It was great to read. We hope you will enjoy this series this week! Each day a new guys post will go up.
I have been running UNB for almost 7 years. It started as a way for me to share my love of undies with the world. Did I think It would catch on and become what it is today? Never in my wildest dreams. Even to this day I will meet people who love underwear and mention I run UNB and they tell me how much they love the site. This is awesome because believe it or not I still have times when I feel like I’m putting all this out there for me. I forget that there are thousands who read it.
Over the journey I have met gay, bi and straight guys. The love of underwear is universal and we all share a bond regardless of our sexuality. There also is a bit of shame with a love of underwear. I think it’s because underwear is so personal to us. Its exposing our deep down likes and passion. Revealing that is never easy. But in the whole scheme of things in the world of likes and fetishes underwear is pretty tame!
This is the other universal of underwear. Guys of all sexual orientations aren’t open about their love. Yes, some of us are open on Twitter and other social networks. Where we can be behind a screen name and remain mainly anonymous. In real life with our friends, lovers and significant others sometimes we hide the love. Why do we do that?
Is there shame in wearing underwear to make us feel great? Women don’t seem to have this problem. They have tons of different underwear from every day pairs to sexy lingerie. It’s a given that they will wear different kinds of underwear. Whereas guys are stuck with boxers or tighty whities. Why shouldn’t guys have the same options to wear amazing and sexy underwear?
So Why do guys have this need to hide their love of underwear? I have a few reasons after years of experience with this.
Guys don’t want to be judged – As I stated above underwear is personal and we choose who we share it with. Everyone who reads UNB has something different they love in underwear. This could be mesh, spandex, bikinis, colors/prints or more. Nothing worse than taking off your pants and have a person go “what are you wearing?’ and then laughing. There should be no shame in what we like.
Not Societally Accepted – For the longest time guys were to be wearing boxers. Everyone wore them and if you wore something different then you were strange. You often hear, “A real man wouldn’t be caught dead in a bikini/thong.” Like these is something wrong with either pair. Also guys don’t talk to other guys about underwear. It’s a taboo topic
Our Partners don’t get it or like it – I have a friend who loves underwear and thongs. But when he has dated the people he dates never get his underwear. So he changes his underwear and keeps that part hidden. Hiding a major part of you is never good for a relationship. So many of us do what he’s done and keep the underwear for personal time. Rather than incorporation it with our partners.
These reasons are all guys regardless of sexual orientation. So what can we do about this? Well, we can’t cause a societal shift over night (as much as I would like). We can take small steps in that direction.
Find guys who share your love – This may sound like a DUH tip. But it really is empowering to have a friend who you can talk about underwear. It could be new stuff, favorites we have and trends happening. It also doesn’t have to be limited to the same sexual orientation. Some of the straight guys I have met through UNB are massive underwear fans. I really enjoy getting a different perspective from the guys.
If someones asks about your underwear be honest. If a friend or someone sees you have something different, maybe a pair of 2EROS or Andrew Christian. Just say I like comfortable underwear and prefer a style and cut. Don’t grab it and shove it in your pocket and hope they won’t ask. We have had a few readers this happened too and they got their friend to try better underwear!
Be honest with your partner – Tell them your love of underwear. How it makes you feel on a daily basis and how you can incorporate it into your sex life as well. Let’s face it we are wearing great undies and we want it seen at some point and to get busy. Get them involved with what you buy and take their opinion in to consideration. Relationships are give and take so introduce them slowly into undies!
Its time we bring undies out into the open. Some of you out there this doesn’t apply too. You are open post pics on Twitter with face and share your opinion. But those who are still keeping it hidden remember you are not alone and guys out there share this same thing.
