Recently I have had the privilege to try new brands that I have never worn before, only expanding my underwear knowledge. What I have enjoyed even more is that many of these new brands I am getting to try are offering more than one pair to review which lets me accurately decide how the brand is versus just getting lucky with one good pair. So here I am on my second pair of JOR. This time I reviewed the Rally Brief. This black beauty appears to be a simple basic brief but is made of a nylon and spandex combination and completely mesh. The see thru mesh definitely adds a sexual appeal to the brief, letting it stand apart from others in your drawer.
My usual test run of this pair consisted of another business work day with all of the usual movements to really test out a pair. When I first slipped the pair on, they felt good. The material was soft even with it being mesh. After some of these recent reviews I have done, I have to admit that I underestimated mesh underwear. They really do feel great and offer some amazing breath ability that you don’t always get in other styles of underwear. The one thing I will say about mesh that makes me laugh a little is when you are adjusting yourself your finger can quickly and briefly get stuck in the mesh hole. It reminds me of when you had to climb those nets in gym class back in the day and always got a foot stuck haha! The see thru mesh was sexy yet tasteful. I did notice that the brief is a little more full than what I am used to. I enjoy the skimpier briefs and bikinis, while this one I feel is fuller on the sides and thigh. This is great for guys looking to transition from boxer briefs to briefs or who enjoy longer briefs. With that being said, the pair offers great coverage in the front and the back. You may feel exposed in mesh but this pair holds everything where it needs to be and does not ride up or skimp anywhere on the fabric needed to make you feel secure in your underwear. The waistband is thicker than many pairs of underwear as well, just showing how this is made for guys who appreciate more fabric on their underwear. The waistband shows off the JOR logo, complete with the signature star.
I wear a medium and feel that JOR truly lives up to its sizing requirements. The pair fit excellent all around. I had enough room and coverage in the front and back, the waistband was not tight or uncomfortable, and the pair stayed in place all through the day. This is big! How many times can you say a pair does that?
Overall I feel like JOR does not get as much exposure as they deserve. This is a great brand with great designs and great underwear. If you have not had an experience in JOR Underwear, what are you waiting for?
Pros:
- Sexy mesh see through
- Excellent coverage
- Comfortable
Cons:
- Fuller brief (if you prefer skimpier underwear)
- Color selection
Ratings:
- Daily Fit = 8.5
- Sizing = 9
- Construction Materials = 8.5
- Styling = 7.5
- Daily Performance = 8
- Overall = 8.5

Next up on my 15 new brands in 2015 was to review Jor. Up until joining UNB I had never heard of Jor. Over the past year I had seen many pictures and write ups for Jor and decided it was time to try this brand. I was given the Fractal brief in orange to review. The first thing I noticed about this pair was the color scheme and design. There are some great geometric shapes covering this pair while they use an amazing color palette that is unlike anything I already own. The orange and purple combinations are so eye popping this pair will definitely stand out. A great way to add color to your underwear drawer. The waistband features a bold JOR logo with a star on it. Simple, yet fun and classy look to it.
As I felt the pair I could tell the material was a little different than I had felt on other pairs I owned as well. It’s a mesh pair and a nylon/spandex combination. I was curious how that would feel all day as it wasn’t much cotton like as my other pairs typically are. As I am discovering, Jor thrives on being different. When I slipped them on, I was surprised at how nice the material felt against the body. Impressed actually. I wear a medium and the fit was great. I have seen other reviews mention that the pair seems to fit large. I can see where people may think this so I would suggest going lower if you are on the cusp of sizes. I am a 32″ waist and the medium fit me great. I would not go down to a small. That being said, the pair held up great during my basic busy work day. One of the things I always look for in a great pair of underwear is how often I have to adjust myself, whether in the front or in the back. With this pair, I maybe only had to adjust myself twice. It never rode up and I never felt like my packages was smashed. So this pair had enough room in the front pouch to allow everything to be comfortable and sit where it needs to sit without any fancy gimmicks of enhanced pouches. The back covers the butt nicely and the material keeps great coverage throughout the day. Anytime you can wear a pair of underwear and not spend your day adjusting it is a winner in my book!
For my first Jor, I was quite pleased and impressed. I think the pair holds up great to everyday wear, offers a comfortable feel, and does a unique design to offer some variety to the classic underwear drawer.
Pros:
- Comfortable material
- Unique design
- Great color scheme
Cons:
- Possible sizing
Ratings:
- Daily Fit = 9
- Sizing = 8
- Construction Materials = 9
- Styling = 9
- Daily Performance = 9
- Overall = 9

Are you a fan of JOR? If so you will love the new collection that they just released. They have always been known for fun colors and fabrics. This collection is no different! They have everything form the sports mesh they are known for to some fun colors for Spring to awesome prints!
The prints this year have been amazing. Over the last few years prints have grown on me. I used to rarely wear them, but now its one of my favorite things. I love the ones that they have that are not prints you would normally see in underwear. They are colorful, fun and super hot. My two favorites are Sahara and Graffiti.
They have a set of pastels this collection. There are two that stick out the Jupiter (green below) and Mediterraneo (blue below) collections. The Jupiter is either a green or pink stripe fabric in all the styles including a tank. The Mediterraneo is a microfiber collection in a green and blue. It’s sleek, hot and fun. Both of these styles will help you celebrate spring!
What would a JOR collection be without some swimwear? Two great pairs are the Marine and Ocean. The Marine is a striped swimsuit with image on the left hip.The Marine is available in a trunk/square cut. One cool thing about the Marine is there is a matching underwear and tank. The Ocean is a water print with Wild Summer written on the back. It is available in a brief and trunk/square cut.
This is only a quick overview of the collection. There are many more pairs in this collection. To see more go to GDD World site and go under Brands!
Much like Clever, JOR has a new line that that just got released. This is a behind the scenes video of the new collection. We hope you enjoy it and will check out the new JOR

The video was released yesterday, which gave you a preview to the shoot. The photographer is Ignacio Rivera Jr. who has shot our last years Holiday Guide and the 2014 Swimwear Guide. Our models are Derek Yates, Chandler, Michael and Nathan. All had a lot of fun during and after the shoot when we did dinner!

Today’s Brief Distraction is from JOR. This is one suit I really love! Its the Pool Swim suit from JOR. I would say its inspired by the tiles in a pool, but that would be just a guess
Jor is back with a really fun video. This video is call “In the Shower” and it’s just that! But its not what you think! Check out the video and enjoy!
JOR has released a new range of swimwear for Fall/Winter 2014. This is perfect for a Winter trip such as a cruise or to Mexico! Check out the video.
This is a video that show cases the behind the scenes of the JOR Spring 2014 collection shoot. The new collection. I haven’t seen it yet but really excited to see it!
Jor is not a company we cover that often but they are a super fun company out of Columbia. Their new collection is bright and fun! This is part of the new collection and it features a mesh brief. Not a super see through brief more of a sports mesh !
We are gearing up for a lot of new collections coming out. One of the first new collections I have gotten a quick look at is JOR. They sent me the catalogue and a few pictures over this past week. I’m really looking forward to a lot of the collections. We will do a more in-depth report for you guys!
JOR is designed and made in Columbia and always has a bright colorful line. This year is no different, they aren’t afraid to use bright and bold colors. One of my favorites in this collection is the Soccer ball briefs. They are super fun. Lets Face it we all want great and fun undies to wear daily.
Big in this collection outside of the colors is mesh (both sports and regular mesh), prints and stripes. This is just a quick preview we will have more for you very soon!
What Makes Great Date night pair of Underwear? One that will be remembered for future dates? We have a few suggestions on that. But the underwear depends on which date it is (first, thrid, or fifth) and the connection you have to the other person on the date with you.
Over the course of the blog fewer things have brought controversy like bringing up date night underwear. That is because to each guy “Date night underwear” means something different. Underwear is personal and date night underwear is even more so!
We decided to break down a few categories of date night underwear and have you guys tell us which pair you wear and why?
Classic Underwear – We don’t mean the tighy whities that come in a six pack. Rather a brief/boxer brief that is no frills. It’s styling is simple but very comfortable. One pair that would be good is the 2(X)ist Essential No-Show Brief or Trunk. Another pair is the Calvin Klein Bold Cotton Boxer simple with an off setting waistband.
Colorful/Patterned – Colors are an expression of our personalities. On a date night there is a greater chance the underwear will be seen. I know in the past I have worn really fun/bright underwear when there is a chance things get busy. A great pair of colorful underwear is JOR Paris Brief. If you’re a boxer brief fan then you should look into the Papi Eye Candy Brazilian trunk.
Jockstraps/Jockbrief – Many of our readers wear jocks every day. They are no longer just for the locker room. Over the last few years companies have been putting their own spin on the jock. The C-IN2 Grip jock is the perfect example of a company taking the jock to the next level. If you’re not up to wearing a jock but want the coverage of a jock, the orignator of the jock brief Baskit has the Pure Jockbrief.
Erotic/Mesh – If you’re past the first date or out with your significant other maybe you want to show a bit more of your wild side. This could be either Mesh or something considered wild. If you want to show off everything with mesh then we suggest the Gregg Homme NoDoubt Thong Maximizer, It shows and enhances. If you don’t want to share it all but want to wear something you won’t find in your local department store, then we suggest Modus Vivendi 11011 Leather Look Brief with Zipper.
These are some examples of different types of underwear you can wear on a date night. You can go from mild to wild depending on the date! Let us know what pair you like to wear on your date.

This week’s Underwear of the Week is the JOR Paris Boxer. We haven’t run a Boxer Brief in a while, so I thought we needed to find one that’s super fun. The JOR Paris brief has a retro print that is eye catching. The colors are slight off set to give it a fun and funky look, especially with the light blue waistband with the JOR Logo in the center. Cut of the pair is a short trunk so it won’t go too far down you let
The boxer brief is made out of 84% Nylon, 16% Spandex which will hug your body as you mover through out the day. It is constructed with a contour pouch and seam down the back. It’s just a lot of fun!
Reasons this is our underwear of the week:
- A fun retro print
- Shorter Trunk cut
- Made out of 84% Nylon, 16% Spandex blend
- Contour pouch design
Find this at the JOR website or at one of your favorite retailers.
