Is camo just for underwear? Nope, not according to Boys Get Wet. One of their new pairs is a printed camo! I love this camo design. It’s super fun and the regular cut is the perfect size! There haven’t been many camo prints in swimwear that come to mind. I know we have had some but off the top of my head I can’t recall many. Boys Get Wet swimwear have always been about fun and this pair continues that tradition.

Based in Spain, Boys Get Wet has been on the market for a few years. Their swimwear has always been super fun. Coming in bright colors that consist of prints and stripes. Each year they release a lot more fun pairs. This has to be my favorite of the current collection by far.

Here are a few things about the pair.

  • entirely lined – you won’t show off too much
  • Soft seams – perfect for swimwear
  • 80% polyamide – 20% elastane (fabric/liner)
  • Xtralife Lycra®
  • elastic legs & waistband – it won’t loose shape in the waves
  • internal drawstrings – will make sure it stays in place.
  • 100% Made in Spain

If you want a different cut you’re in luck. Boys Get Wet come in three different styles. They are the low cut, regular and sunga. The low cut is smalller and the sunga is a bit bigger on the sides. More brands are starting to create different styles of the same swim. Depending on your body type, one may look better than another. It’s something I am applauding in the world of swimwear

If you want a pair of swimwear with a great print. Look no farther than Boys Get Wet. Made with some amazing fabric and designs. You can’t go wrong. This pair retails for 80 Euros. You can find this and more at the Boys Get Wet site.

Rating: 9/10

  • Daily Fit: 9/10
  • Sizing: 9/10
  • Construction: 9/10
  • Styling:9 /10
  • Daily Performance: 9/10

Pros:

  • Bigger cut of a swim brief
  • Compliments more body types
  • Great for a day in the pool

Cons:

  • Some guys may not like the pouch since it’s not enhancing
  • The back is bigger cut, if you have a butt you may not like that

UNB Tim recommendation:

I have had a few pairs of WildmanT underwear over the years. One of my favorites is the Big Boy brief. It’s made out of mesh and has an amazing pouch. Tim over there really knows how to design great underwear. I wanted to finally get my hands on some of his awesome swimwear and I finally got my chance. I got the Sportivo Bikini.

The first thing I love about this bikini is the size. Some may argue that it’s a brief not a bikini. I”ll let you figure that out for yourself. Being a bigger guy the skimpy bikinis I wore in my youth just don’t look the same on me. This bigger cut is made for more guys. If you’re a bigger guy (such as a bear) this will fit you well and complement your body.

I wore this to a pool day. The suit really felt great all day. It was amazing how great this felt. The back is a full back so you don’t have to worry about falling out the back when you’re active in the pool. Plus not having junk in the trunk, its good to have full coverage. The pouch wasn’t as pronounced as the undies but it gave great support. I prefer my undies with not as a pronounced pouch. There fit me better, I think!

I really loved this brief and am taking it on a trip with me. I may get in a pool but not sure yet. But I figure why the hell not. It’s amazing brief that you guys should check out!

Sportivo Bikini Black with Red Stripe

It’s time to stand out in swimwear. We have brought you a series of swimwear. This includes the starter swim brief, a thong and more. If you have ventured out into the world in a swim brief earlier in the year, now is the time to wear something fun and awesome. The Bruno Mens Wear Attitude collection is that pair. This line is just as the name says.

The Bikini Swimwear has a “psychedelic” print. Well, that’s what Bruno Mens Wear calls it. I call it a bright fun print. It’s not my definition of psychedelic but everyone has their own definition. The print is one of the best I have seen this year. It’s  one I definitely would wear on the beach.

It’s not a skimpy bikini. It’s definitely a brief cut. The sides look to be about 2 inches on each side. So, if you’re worried about it being too small I don’t think you will have that issue. The pair also has a draw string waist. This size is what I think most guys would be comfortable wearing out in public.

One thing I am not sure about is the price. Their site didn’t change prices after converting to English. Bruno Mens Wear is in Mexico, so I don’t think the price is $400. Their gear is always fun and well thought out. They have one of the most innovative design styles on the market today.

If you want something a little more subdued, there are plenty more swimwear in the Attitude collection. Just note that this line is a limited edition line. Once they are gone, they are GONE. If you want a pair get it now and don’t wait. You don’t want to come back in a few weeks and go “I should have gotten that pair!”

It’s Swimwear Sunday! These are winding down the closer we get to Labor Day. But till then we will profile some of the best swim on the market. The pair this Sunday is the Timoteo Lakeshore Geometric Brief.  The reason we chose this is the amazing print. Prints are huge in men’s underwear and swimwear. They bring something extra to the world of swimwear! Why do just solids when you can rock a print.

Timoteo is known for making amazing swimwear! This is the first pair we have profiled this season from Timoteo. Some of the features of Lakeshore brief:

  • Cool and refreshing new prints
  • Bikini cut, low rise
  • Drawstring waistband for adjustment and fit
  • Interior is fully lined with super soft and comfy material.
  • Seams on the sides and on the pouch for fit and comfort.
  • Timoteo flaglet logo on the left hip.

This pair is for the guy who wants to wear a bikini cut swim suit! Swim briefs come in many different sizes. While this is not super skimpy it’s def a smaller low rise cut. You will get some great exposure and tan lines with this pair. Also, you may get people come up asking you where you got this suit. It’s always a compliment to have someone ask where you got your gear!

Why should you wear the Lakeshore line? Well, it’s a lot of fun. The line has all prints and stripes. If you are a fan of solids this line isn’t for you. They are all the same cut but other super fun prints. Note too that you will need to review the size chart before you order. Timoteo sizes go to 36-inch waist.

Find this pair at the Timoteo website for $38.00. WHichi s not bad for a pair of swim. This would be great for a late summer pair or for a winter get away!

Andrew Christian provided the Massive Slant Bikini for review. All opinions are the reviewers.

  • Sizing- 8/10
  • Construction- 8/10
  • Styling- 9/10
  • Daily Performance- 10/10
Overall average- 9/10
Pros
  • Cut
  • Print
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable fit all around
Cons
  • Placement of the string (External)
  • Somewhat clingy when wet/ thin material/ unlined
Hey Y’all, today I’m reviewing the Andrew Christian Massive Slant Bikini. Having acquired my first Andrew Christian swimsuit in 2008, my experiences with this brand have been numerous. I have noticed a change in their products and marketing in the last 5 years which has led me to somewhat shy away when making my own purchases, but I have always been a fan of the more conservative swim bikinis and briefs, so when I saw these I had a good feeling I would like them. Being a guy who doesn’t wear shorts for water activities, I did not hesitate at all to give these a go.
I initially wore these as underwear to see how they would react to everyday activities and movements. I noticed immediately that the material was light and flexible and imagined it would be comfortable wear, which was confirmed during the gym and other activities. Very flexible and comfortable for any thing you could be doing. I didn’t have any binding issues nor did they feel like they were digging into any part of my skin.
The material was nice and light which made them a good choice for using as undergarments. I did have some reservations about the durability or longevity of the garment, based on how thin the fabric felt. Would this suit be able to last for years under normal wear and tear? Maybe, but I’m not betting on it lasting more than 3 years or so. The cut was a little more on the conservative side in terms of AC, which was rather nice. Still brief and cute, but not anywhere near string sides hahaha. I did notice that when wet, the suit gets clingy which could lead to issues with the front for those who don’t necessarily like having their assets of full display, but a quick flick and that issue was resolved. There is no dedicated pouch so the suit still fits on their more conservative side. The draw string was on the outside, which can be nice if tied right but I personally am not the biggest fan of external drawstrings.
Sizing has always been an issue with me with AC. The suit I reviewed was a size large which is about what I wear in most other brands but I have had to go with XL in some of their suits in the past. I can comfortable wear 36s in shorts and jeans so even when I lose weight and size I still believe this suit will wear just as well, and can always use the drawstring to really cinch down if needed.
Overall I really enjoyed this pair. Solid cut and the print design is fun and interesting, ensuring catching some eyes and comments. Very comfortable both wet and dry, and solid during both, so no unexpected peek a boo. I would recommend this suit to anybody who wants a more interesting look over solid colors or even some of the other prints I see out there.

Marcuse has a few new pairs, we profiled the Jewel on Sunday for our Swimwear Sunday!
This is what they told us this about the new shoot and collection:
We invited photographer Pavel Lepikhin @pavel_lepikhin to shoot the amazing Dmitry Averyanov @dmitry_averyanov_ for our new Collection17.
In the new collection, we introduced 7 new swimwear – Aloha, Aviator, Cruise, Janeiro, Jewel, Jungle and Paradise. As well as our new towel shorts – Sweat.

Swimwear Sunday is about showing off and having fun, well sometimes. That is the pair today, the Marcuse Jewel Swim brief. The print is one that really caught my eye. It’s not a print that I have seen or seen often in the world of men’s swimwear. I love to see companies step outside of the box and try new things.

The Marcuse Jewel Swim Brief’s print is one that is tattoo like, so the Marcuse site says. It’s either black on white or red on beige. To me, the black print is more of a classic print. The red just says tropical, I could see guys on some tropical island with drinks in their hands just hanging out. Either way, you go, you can’t go wrong with this pair.

The search for the perfect swimsuit is one that many of us have. They want what this suit says “it hugs the body and but has enough room to hold your jewels and at the same time creates a figure perfect butt!” We want to show off a bit and have fun. Marcuse is a company that can deliver on each of those promises! They have amazing design and construction.

The fabric is an 80% Nylon 20% Spandex Italian fabric. Which they says is “sexy, soft and comfortable.” We have tried a few of the pairs and they are pretty much spot on! Here are a few more features of this suit:

  • Damask prints on front and back
  • Elastic waistband and internal drawstring
  • Front lined interior
  • MARCUSE embroidery logo and side tag

One thing to note is the size chart. LOOK at this before you order

  • XS : 27 – 29 inch lower waist (69 – 74cm)
  • S : 30 – 32 inch lower waist (75 – 81 cm)
  • M : 32 – 34 inch lower waist (81 – 86 cm)
  • L : 34 – 36 inch lower waist (86 – 91cm)

aussieBum Lowrider Swim Brief

aussieBum has added some new prints to their Lowrider swim brief line. When you think of lowrider, do you think of motorcycles? The three new prints in this line remind me of emblems that you might see related to motorcycles in one way or another. The Lowrider new prints are called Anger, Tango, and Viper.

The Anger brief actually has the word anger on it along with a skull and flames. It’s mostly in grays with some red for outlining some of the flames and word anger. Tango is a bit more colorful than Anger and not as motorcycle of a print as the other two. It’s a black based color suit with red and white making up the design. It has aussieBum in white and outlined in red on it. Then there is a floral/tropical pattern in white along with swirls of red and white. Last up is Viper, which is a purple base swimsuit. This pattern features a cross with the aussieBum name on it. Also has angel wings, vipers, and some flames. All those are in colors of grays and white. Viper and Anger are the darker side or they mention gothic looking.

The Lowrider swim brief is made of 90% polyamide and 10% elastane. The care instructions say to cold rinse after use. They can be machine wash cold, but they mention hand washing. So might be better to hand wash them. They do recommend air drying and not putting them in the dryer. They are proudly made in Australia. You can get them in sizes extra small to double extra large. Looking for some that look extra masculine then check out the new prints in the Lowrider swim line. The new prints also resemble tattoos you might see. These are some unique patterns, so grab them before it is too late.

aussieBum Ultra Swim Brief

Have you seen the latest swim brief from aussieBum? They have introduced what they call the ultimate swimwear for performance in and out of the water. Their new line is called ULTRA. It’s available in five colors. It’s made out of an Italian Lycra composition that is a blend of 80% nylon and 20% elastane. aussieBum refers to the fabric as super stretch, quick drying, chlorine resistant, and a colorfast fabric.

What gives this swim brief some character is the contrasting rear splice. Here’s the colors you get to choose from. First up is Osiri, which is red and has a white splice. Zeus is black and also has a white splice. Then there is Atlas, which is blue with a lime splice. The color Apollo is black with a red splice. The last option is Adonis, which is gray with an orange splice. They do not give sheerness ratings on these briefs, so don’t know if the white splices will reveal some rear when wet or not. Of course, that is always a possibility with light colors.

The Ultra swim brief features a dual paneled front pouch for added comfort. The aussieBum name is on the left hip on the splice color in black print. The brief is to be machine washed cold and not tumbled dried. Like with any suit you should cold rinse after use and line dry. They say out of the sun.

I’m drawn to aussieBum suits that have other colors integrated into them. It’s nice to have some non-solid colors for a swim suit choice without them being too flashy. For me a little accent goes long ways. That is what I like about the Ultra swim brief. Do you like a little extra color in your swimwear or do you stick with solid colors?
