Are you a fan of Brazilian styles swimwear? If so the newest pair of 2EROS coming out next week is for you! The pair is called the Cuban! It’s a black pair with a gold chain print! If you notice on the picture above the 2EROS logo is front and center in the print!

Here is what 2EROS told us about the pair:” The V32 Cuban is the first “Brazilian” styled fit for 2EROS.
Designed to hug all the right places to enhance and showcase your assets. The design features gold foiled Cuban Chains, a symbol of urban luxury.”

This pair has some really awesome features. It has the V32 Fit. The print is an original print just for 2EROS. It’s also a gold foil print. The pair has an internal drawstring, mesh front lining and the classic 2EROS faux leather back label.

So what is a Brazilian style? In Brazil the sunga is a popular cut. Its similar to a swim brief but almost a trunk. The fit is a bit looser as well. It’s also usually made out of a nylon fabric. This pair like a sunga has bigger sides than a brief. With the summer Olympics hitting Rio this summer I am sure this will be a super popular style.

2EROS took the classic style from Brazil and put their own spin on it. It always amazes me what they do! Jason does such an amazing job designing cutting edge styles. This pair will be out next week!

2EROS makes some of the most colorful and interesting swimwear pairs on the market. The new pair they are releasing is the Bombay. The Bombay is a pair that pops. While in Vegas I got a chance to see it n person. The bright colors on the black background are amazing.

Here is what 2EROS has to say about the new line: “The V14 Bombay is the newest fit for 2EROS. Designed with 2EROS’s signature low-rise and fitted cut. It features high leg openings for comfort and a more adventurous reveal. Bombay is inspired by the national bird of India, the peacock, known for its rich, colourful and iridescent tails which is used to attract and draw attention.”

The Peacock print on back is a lot of fun. The colorful print really doesn’t show up in pictures. If you have a chance to see it in person, I bet you will agree. Many of the pairs 2EROS have done take on a different look when you see them in person.

2EROS_VL5531-EDT

Where would you wear this pair? This is not a pair to be worn to a conservative beach/pool. The wearer will stand out big time! Which for some of you wouldn’t be a bad thing. It also can be a conversation piece as well. We guarantee that you will have people come up to you and ask where you go the pair from.

This pair will be released Tuesday, March 22nd. In just one week. If you are a fan you will be able to order it from the 2EROS site or your favorite retailer!

Have you ever gone swimming in your underwear? I think there are a few of us who can say we’ve done it. It’s not the most ideal situation. Swimming in underwear can be interesting, especially if it’s 100% cotton. Suppose you can have the best of swimwear and underwear? Rufskin has created the Hybrid. Rufskin says this about the collection, “between underwear and poolside leisure wear is born with this conceptual collection combining high-performance fabric and contemporary design”

The Hybrid line has three styles. The Nelson (a string bikini), Enzo (Brief) and Mahino (trunk). Each of the styles is only available in black. The fabric is 67% Rayon 28% Nylon 5% Spandex blend. “Contrasting fully enclosed elastic waistband constructed from a rubber-look poly-spandex blend with a matte finish.” Which is a great way to top off this line.

nelson-l8_1

The Nelson is an “ultra sexy, euro-cut bikini brief.” It’s more of a string bikini with a one inch waistband. The back looks not quite full but more of a 3/4 cut. It will cover your backside for the most part! This is definitely a super sexy cut that will be fun to wear as a pair of underwear or swimwear. The Nelson retails for $58

enzo-l1

The next pair is the Enzo. The Enzo is an “elegant euro-style brief.” To me its more retro and a throw back to classic cut from the 50’s or 60’s. Its not a bikini but it’s a full cut brief. It’s almost a trunk. It is for the guy who doesn’t want to go as bare as the Nelson but doesn’t quite want a trunk. The Enzo retails for $62

mahino-l-sexy

The last pair is the Mahino. The Mahino is a trunk cut. Meaning it’s tight and cut just below the crotch. This pair is perfect for the trunk lover in underwear or swimwear. This is the most conservative pair of the collection. If you are a little wary of wearing a brief on the beach this could be for you. The Mahino retails for $66.

This collection is one of the best hybrid collections I have seen on the market. It’s classic and fun. The black allows it to be used as both underwear and swimwear with out people really noticing. Find all three styles on the Rufskin site!

7418 _2_ copyIn the world of entertainment (film & TV), Leopard/Animal print bikinis are the comical pair someone would wear when their pants would get ripped off. Animal print wasn’t “cool.” but those days are gone. Now animal print can be fun and sexy. Andrew Christian has taken the animal print and made a pair of swimwear out of it!

The Cheetah Bikini is a limited edition pair. Meaning it won’t be around for long! Which is a shame to me. I would love to see more bolder pairs of swimwear on the market. It’s time we start embracing the swim brief in all its forms. Andrew Christian is just the brand to do this. They have never been afraid make interesting pairs of underwear and swimwear.

“Whether you’re on the prowl or looking to show-off, you’ll be getting all the attention with our sexy Andrew Christian Cheetah Bikini. Featuring our limited edition Cheetah print, sleek black lines on each side, the entire piece feels and looks like a second skin.” The fabric of this pair is 90% Polyamide 10% Spandex.

I will say it will take a bold person to wear this pair on the beach/pool. Swim briefs are starting to grow in popularity again, but sporting this pair maybe a bit much for some guys. I personally think this pair is amazing. Its has a super sexy bikini cut and amazing fabric.

Where would you wear this pair? I could see this at a pool party. You would def draw attention to yourself. Like I said above this pair is for the guy who wants to show it all off! Would I wear this pair? I think I would wear it. There is a pool here in Atlanta that is friendly to all kinds of swimwear.

The Cheetah Bikini is available at the Andrew Christian website. Sizes are XS- XL. This swimsuit retails for $43.

aussieBum brings back the fun, retro look for Summer with the new Vintage Stripes range in our classic swimwear style. We’ve searched far and wide for the classic looks our Aussie forefathers hit the surf in from the good old days. Relive the past and redefine your future with these sexy, lightweight and quick drying swimmers. They’re so durable they’re the choice of Aussie Surf Rowers. If you doubt yourself, wear something else!

n068L1754-2“This weather… am I right?” – the classic go-to conversation starter that never fails to break the ice in any awkward elevator ride.  Honestly, this weather definitely has me longing for warm summer days. Even though we may be in the heat of winter (bad pun). It doesn’t mean you can’t start considering what you’ll be strutting around in the warm days ahead.  Thankfully Teamm8 recently released their 2016 swim line. Which is sure to grab your attention. As a new UNB blogger, I want to make it crystal clear that I am huge supporter of swim briefs. (I am going to launch a campaign; stay tuned). So there are some pieces in this collection that are right up my alley.  The 16’ collection features swim briefs, swim shorts, and board shorts.  Available in three sophisticated collections: Podium, Pier, and Marine. Each inspired by a unique theme.

The Podium collection couples an Aztec-inspired pattern with a black and white print. Which makes for a more subtle mature look.  This collection is available in swim briefs and swim shorts. In this collection the swim shorts have a snap waist.  The combination of the intricate pattern and neutral color pallet makes the Podium collection perfect for the day where you want a little edge. But not to be too loud.

The Pier collection combines a clean nautical color pallet.  White and teal, with a modern chevron print.  This collection features swim briefs, swim shorts and board shorts. Which all have a tie waist.  When I look at this pair, I definitely envision myself cutting through waves on a sail boat in the Mediterranean… we can all dream.

Last but not least. The Marine collection blends aquarium-inspired colors into an arrowhead print, for an edgier look.  Unlike the Podium and Pier prints, the Marine print is characterized by a stream of blue hues accented with coral highlights throughout.  This collection features swim briefs, swim shorts, and board shorts. if you’re not into the Marine print, there is a solid board short option. I definitely recommend the Marine collection to those adventurous guys who want to give off great ocean vibes.

Regarding the deeds.  The briefs are cut with a 3″ hip width as well as a solid contrast waistband.  Which is a more classic/conservative fit and look.  The elastic tubular tie-cord is finished with metal tips and eyelets. Which are crucial for a good pair that will hold up for years of use; I love this feature on swim briefs.  The 80% nylon and 20% elastane material is bound to provide a comfortable for all day activates.  While the back of the brief is unlined, the front is lined for the extra support and coverage.  Currently you can find these directly from the Teamm8 website for around $74 AUD (~$52 USD).  The only beef I have with this brief is the center seamed front pouch.  Again, this is preferential, but it’s my #1 pet peeve with swim briefs. I will continue to fight for seamless briefs!  Are you with me?!

Besides the swim briefs, this collection also includes two cuts of shorts.  Standard short and board short, both of which are made of 100% polyester and have an inner lining for added comfort.  The board shorts have a longer inseam (knee length), while the swim short let’s your skin breathe a tad bit more (mid-thigh length).  The waist bands on both cuts are fully elastic.  The front has reinforced tabs for added durability.  Also like the swim briefs.  The elastic tubular tie-cord is finished with metal tips and eyelets.  Both cuts have two side pockets and one back pocket, all of which are finished with accented trims. but the swim shorts feature a zipper for the back pocket.  Like the swim briefs. You can catch these directly from the Teamm8 website (both cuts) for $79 AUD (~$56 USD).

While I can appreciate all of the cuts offered in this product line. I’m obviously biased towards the swim briefs, because they ROCK. My taste is more drawn to the Pier collection as I can be a sucker for simple chevron patterns, but to each their own. I definitely need to squeeze my derriere into a pair of these sweet Teamm8 swimmers, kick it at the beach with my girlfriend, and chain-drink pina coladas. Don’t hate, you guys can’t deny their deliciousness

DunyWe are excited to talk to BaNG! Clothes‘ Duny De La Cruez. The brand has some on strong in the world of swimwear! This year they also started a great line of tanks and more! We have profiled them several times as a brief distraction but now we give you more about the brand!

Thanks for taking the time to talk to us today Duny. First where did the idea of BaNG! Clothes come from?
My business partner and co-founder of BaNG!, Cristian Cravello, and me; we were having in mind to launch a line of activewear inspired by Miami. But when we think of Miami we don’t see the typical images of flamingos and palm trees. For us, and for a lot of people we connect with, Miami is more about the beaches, about its nightlife, and about taking care of yourself at the gym. And almost by playing with those words we realized we were wanting to put together Beach, Nightlife and Gym. What left us with its initials: B, N, and G, and there it was BaNG!, right in front of our faces.

How did you go from that spark of idea to BaNG!? What were some of our early challenges and successes?
Hardest challenge was getting made in Miami, the type of product we wanted. We had in mind a very specific type of quality, finishing, and stitching style, that could deliver a high-quality product. And the first attempts were really disappointing. Luckily, we found the right team of people, and after going through a tough learning curve together, we finally achieved the type of product we wanted to put out there.

Why did you choose Miami as your location for the business? You make all the swimwear in Miami as well?
Yes, we do. And from what I was commenting before, we made it our mission – and it is our pride – to have our stuff all manufactured in Miami. For many reasons. Because no one else was doing it something like this from here. Because we wanted to add something different to this city. But most of all, because we had a clear vision that the swimsuits were going to be the stars of our brand. And just like when you think of watches you think of Switzerland; or for pasta nobody does it like Italy; we felt certain that if there was one thing Miami can own and has all the authority in world to provide like no one else, it’s gear to use at the beach, under the sun, in the form of swimsuits, of course.

You guys are super creative, what spurs your creativity in the world of men’s swimwear and gear?
Wow! There’s so much stuff. I guess it’s the way our ideas collide and how the different backgrounds complement between my business partner and me. Cristian is more of a pop-culture freak. His influences can range from pop music, to 80s designers, to Italian directors from Cinecittà’s golden era. I am more the fashion retail and trends guru of the team. I have worked several years running my own clothing stores in Spain, and working first-hand with all the main European luxury brands, from Gucci, to Fendi, to D&G, Moncler, all of them. So I feel very comfortable when it comes to putting together all those influences from the fashion industry. And then I guess that the fact that I have traveled around most of the world, has really opened my mind in terms of creativity and influences that appeal more to a global type of segment.

You create some of the most amazing prints what has been the inspiration of them? They have a very comic book/graphic novel feel to me, was that what you were going for?
Many people strongly associate us with comic books. But the brand it’s not only about that. As I was just saying, there’s a lot of pop-culture influence in general in our collection. The comic-book approach, was I guess only our first step; because it is one on the myriad of themes pop-culture can address. But as we launch our new prints for 2016, it will become more clearer what is the overall scope of BaNG!’s style. Suspense-suspense…! Haha!

BaNG! makes some really great swim briefs, how did you determine the cuts you were going to produce?
On that end, may be that’s where my growing up in Europe mostly shows off. We went for cuts that are more up to the European standards, than American. Not in terms of sizing, which in Europe tend to run smaller. We kept more a universal fit on that end. But for all our styles we went with cuts that tend to show more skin, or fit tighter, in comparison to the average Speedo-like swimsuit you can find here and there.

Your site says you guys get to test out new swim suits on the beach and some killer pool parties. Do both of you wear the new pairs?
Absolutely. And there’s not one single model that we get to launch, until we wear it ourselves first, and even see how colors react after drowning them in salt water in the ocean, or with chloride water in a pool. And if all is fine and they pass our “test of fire” as we like to call it, then the swimsuit gets our seal of approval and is finally released publicly.

tumblr_o0x7f5Twr81tvi8e0o1_1280

Wearing a test pair to an event, did you guys ever produce a pair that people went crazy for and kept asking where to get it? If so which pair was it?
It happens actually all the time. And not to ourselves only. Lots of people approach us right on the beach or when we walk by on Lincoln Rd or on Ocean Drive, and ask us where did we get the stuff we wear. And our customers write to us all the time, telling us how thrilled they were that they wore our BaNG! gear in a cruise, vacation resort, or pool party, and they were asked all the time about their swimsuit.

Duny, I see you in a lot of the pics for BaNG! you look awesome in the pictures, what made you pose for pics rather than hiring a model?
Saving costs – it is my own business after all, and I have to by a wise executive as well – hahaha!!

Your bio on the site said you love to travel, have you spotted others wearing your swim wear on beaches around the world?
Not directly, but we keep receiving pictures from our customers wearing our stuff from the least expected remote corners of the world. Asia, Middle East, Australia, Europe, South and Central America, anywhere! The brand has grown and spread globally so fast we can hardly believe it.

BaNG! Also makes Convertible board shorts, can you tell us what they are and why you made them convertible?
Rather than convertible, we called them “Hybrid.” And the name comes from the fact they they are made to use with a double purpose. As swimwear, in the water, of course; as any other regular surf-style boardshort. But also as casual wear, like funky pants you can use for when you want to go out for a walk, or meet your friends for brunch, or wear something relaxed while hanging out anywhere but at a beach. For that purpose, we started with the classic style of surfing boardshorts, but then we switched the fabric to one that drapes more smoothly. It feels fresher, softer and comfier to the skin and touch. You can walk for ours with them on and you won’t get you rushes on your legs. And the cut is also tweaked a bit, so that it offers a more flexible fit that shapes and molds the body into a much sculpted look.

We think more US guys should wear swim briefs. Is there a celebrity you would love to see in your swim briefs?
Joe Manganiello could possibly be the ultimate BaNG! man on Earth.

IMG_4584 editorial bang brief 2.0

What advice can you give our guys on buying BaNG! Clothes?
Don’t be shy about them. Go for the prints, and once you have them on, own them and flaunt them. Make the sand your own runway with a BaNG!

2016

In 2014 we did the original swim brief challenge.  This year we are bringing it back but we are going to add in a swim thing challenge too!  It got some of the word out but we need more guys to wear them! Over this last we we heard from straight guys who wished it was more acceptable for them to wear them in public. It’s time to change that.

Regardless of our sexual orientation, we all want to wear what ever we want on the beach. We all need to band together and make it so guys can wear what ever they want to the beach or pool. So how is this going to work? We want everyone reading this blog to take the Challenge. That is buy, if you don’t already, a swim brief and then wear it in public.

If you want, wear it in a swim brief friendly place. Not everyone can just put one on and be the only guy on the beach in them. Places like Miami Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Provincetown, LA Area beaches and more would be great places to start. After a while you will gain more confidence and be able to wear them anywhere!

If you do take the Challenge, we want to know about it. You can Tweet us and let us know. if You’re bold  tweet is a pic or just let us know by using #unbswim. We will be sharing it with all our readers.

If you are new to swim briefs don’t worry we will be doing some posts on starter swim briefs to super hot swim thongs.  We will have recommendations for all guys.  In the mean time we need you guys to help spread the word out there.  Bring up conversations on social media, with friends and your significant others

Here’s to a great swim brief year.

Marcuse Retro yellow

Let’s face it, no matter if you are gay, straight or bi, you have to admit the photography that Marcuse does for their swimwear and underwear is HOT. They pick the best pairs of swimwear and underwear for each model. One of the newest pairs that looks amazing is the Retro suit in yellow. There are two other colors of the Retro, a solid white and black. However, we are profiling the print version in Yellow!

The first time I saw this suit was when Marcuse sent us the pictures featuring Anatoly Goncharov by photographer Tema Saturday. It was the pair that caught my eye. Prints are huge right now in the world of men’s swimwear and underwear. Marcuse says this about the new suit: “Inspired from the 80’s, Marcuse thinks it’s time for a modernized comeback of these ‘Retro’ swim briefs. Is it the low sitting hipster style with the monochrome buttons that make Retro so cool? Is Retro Yellow is the coolest colour of all? On top of the retro look, the high-quality Italian fabric also adds to your form.”

I definitely has a cool retro design in the print. I can see the inspiration from the 80’s. Back then swim briefs were a lot more common in the states. While slowly growing in popularity again. This will be one of the hottest pairs in 2016 here in the states. It’s different and fun!

The sizing of Marcuse ranges from 27-36 inches. So keep that in mind when ordering. See the size charts. The Retro suit retails for $59.95 AUD on the Marcuse site.
