This is Chandler getting pumped before the UNB Swim Guide wearing Cocksox. We hope you are getting pumped! We will be releasing it very soon, stay tuned. And have a great Memorial Day.
It’s the start of swimwear season. Memorial day is the “official” swimwear start of the summer. It’s time to make sure you have a few pairs of swimwear for the summer. Don’t rely just on one pair to last the entire summer. One pair that is for the more adventurous is the Cocksox Sheer Swim Brief in the Prism print.
I hear many of you going, wait a minute, you said sheer in swimwear? That’s right, this is a mesh pair of swimwear. It’s noted that Cocksox says the pair is more see through than the pictures show. We have shot this pair in our swimwear guide and I didn’t see anything I wasn’t supposed too.
This pair is a show off pair because of two things. The first we mentioned is the mesh fabric. Which you may show off quite a bit. The second is the pair has the original pouch. Over the last few years, Cocksox has made some more mainstream swim without the bulge. This one has the awesome pouch that will show off all you have!
Cocksox is becoming a brand that is really embracing prints in swimwear. They aren’t the typical tropical prints. They are geometric and fun prints. I really love them and think they are making statement pieces for the beach. It’s amazing to see what they come up with. Plus they are willing to take risks and do new and interesting things. They continually produce swim thongs and made swimwear out of neoprene.
If you are looking for something bright and fun, the Prism swim brief is definitely for you. I wouldn’t recommend this as your first pair unless you’re super confident in who you are and are willing to have everything on display. Also, we would recommend this for a private pool or nude beach. You could get into trouble on a public beach or lake. But, that’s up to you if you want to dare that. I hope you check this pair out.
The Prism swim brief is available for $42 at the Cocksox site. Made out of 75% Polyester 25% Elastane. Made in sizes small – X-Large
See brand Aronik in the wilderness! This features their swimwear and activewear! Make sure you go check them out.
You guys said in our Reader Survey you like leather. Since this weekend is IML in Chicago, I thought we should run a pic from Army of Men to celebrate. This picture features Bulldog Harness, Universal X Harness, Flight Cap and Combat Cap.
Where do you guys shop? I wanted to give a quick look at more of the UNB Reader Survey. The results are in line with previous years. More of you guys shop online than in person. There can be two reasons for that. The first is that you don’t have any good places to buy underwear. The second is you may not feel comfortable buying a thong in a regular store. But if you are the second, most people working the stores don’t care, they have seen it all.
Here are your favorite stores to shop!
- Online stores – 78% of you guys shop at online stores
- Official Brand sites – 66% shop brand sites
- Online Discount sites – 36%
- Department Stores – 35%
- Underwear Specialty Stores – 32%
- Closeout Stores – 23%
- Discount stores – 14%
One thing that will be interesting to see is how many of you guys shop Amazon. That will be added next year. The official sites seemed higher to me than I thought you guys would shop, but it shows most of you guys prefer to shop online!
We will have more very soon from our survey. But these are like a sneak peek into your fellow readers underwear drawers!
We have to say Happy Fourth Anniversary to Curb Wear! It’s hard to believe that they are four! Congrats and we can’t wait to see four more years.
Pretty much everyone knows that thongs are available for women. They’re known for their sex appeal and elimination of those visible panty lines (VPL). You could argue that the thong is probably even more beneficial to men. You get the sex appeal factor and no underwear lines if that is a concern along with good support for the package.
If you think about it, there are several examples of articles of clothing that men have worn for years and still do that resemble thongs. First one that comes to mind is the loincloth. Most definitions of loincloth say it is a piece of cloth that hangs down from the waist and covers the loins. You can find places that talk about pulling the fabric piece between the legs and tucking it into the back of the belt/waistband. Another one that I’ve come across is called fundoshi, which is referred to as Japanese underwear. This is a strip of fabric that is wound around the hips and then between the legs. Then it is twisted around the fabric belt in the back. Similar to the fundoshi is the mawashi that sumo wrestlers wear. There are other similar types of garments out there and all refer back to the loincloth. You have probably seen tribal people wearing loincloths on different shows especially National Geographical type ones.
As you can see men have been wearing a garment similar to a thong for centuries. Doesn’t it make sense in this modern day and time for men to move on to a modern version of these with the thong. Don’t let society dictate that men don’t wear thongs. History shows they do. We at Underwear News Briefs want to help you venture out and try a thong. We’re starting the Thongs 101 Series to help guide you into the world of men’s thongs.
If you’ve ever been interested in wearing a thong, or don’t know where to start, the Thongs 101 series is for you. First thing we’ll cover is the styles of thongs you have to choose from. We’ll look at tips for buying your first thong and ideas on fabric selections. Point you to places you can buy that first thong. Then we’ll check out some thongs we think would be a good choice. Finally we’ll take a look at where to head next with thongs.
With yet another line, Greek label Modus Vivendi continues to present its very exciting and fresh Spring-Summer 2017 collection. The line you are about to see is called New Mondrian and is a new take on a best selling line Modus Vivendi released last year. With references to Piet Mondrian, the new underwear feature colour blocking with red, blue, yellow and black colours in geometric patterns. This line takes this pattern to the waistband to create a new and luxurious approach to classic underwear styles. The elegant, full black or white body is elevated with the multicolour waistband and a metal tag bearing the Modus Vivendi name on the side.
The conceptual campaign takes this line to the tennis field! The team of P2Photography and model Efthimis Chatziapostolou present the new line in a sporty and playful setting that will put a smile on your face! It’s a highly artistic, sexy and comfortable line and the way it is presented with this campaign is, we think, absolutely perfect!

It was one year ago we brought you the Neon line from Modus Vivendi. Today we have a new and updated line from this Greek Brand! But do you remember this line?
Clever has released a new line. Well more like mini line called Vintage. I would assume the line is due to some of the prints being a retro design.
Today is Jockstrap Wednesday. They day we celebrate jocks of all kinds and varieties. You can wear them to work, the gym or just around the house. For some time, I have been hearing fewer guys wearing jocks. In 2009 was the Year of the Jock on UNB. It was the first really big year of fashion jocks. That year EVERYONE had jocks. We were leaving behind the classic and entering a new phase.
Since 2009 more guys have turned to thongs. A few straight guys said their wives/girlfriends preferred them in a thong over a jock. This struck me as odd but not everything that some women won’t make sense to me. Other guys didn’t want the flashback to the middle school gym.
I think jocks are an acquired taste. Meaning they take some time to get used too. The first few pairs I had, drove me crazy. They would bind and there was no way I could wear them all day. The few times I did chance to wear them all day, I regretted it by noon. But over the years I became used to the design and fit. Now I don’t even pay attention to jocks when I wear them.
Now in 2017, I have been hearing guys wearing jocks. It’s not a large number of guys talking. However, it is in areas of guys who haven’t worn them before. Some of the younger guys and in the straight market. These two groups aren’t in the target market of most jocks. The younger guys are wearing them to work out. It’s like discovering something old is new again. While the straight guys are finding the fashion jocks. It’s another way to express themselves.
Will this be the next big thing in underwear? I’m not too sure it’s going to take off but I think there will be a new group that discovers jocks. It could grow or still remain a small number. Only time will tell.
It’s Jockstrap Wednesday. We thought we would run this pic of Jacob Ford in an Andrew Christian Jock. We hope you are wearing your jock today!
It’s Tuesday, that means it’s Baskit $12 Tuesday. I know not a lot of you guys wear boxers on a daily basis but some of you wear them around the house. This week the Active boxer is just $12, the perfect pair for a lazy and rainy Sunday when you don’t want to put on pants.
I am in the process of sorting through the responses and getting the results finalized. Some interesting things in this year’s survey. One that I think is fun to ask is “How many pairs of underwear are in your collection?” We are all curious if we have the right amount of underwear or not enough. I think I fall on the “NOT ENOUGH” end, even though I have more pairs than just about anyone I know.
The one number that surprised me was the 151+ category. I wasn’t expecting 21% of you guys to have big collections! Which is awesome, because I should know by now never to underestimate our readers. You guys are amazing. However, 50% of you guys have 21-70 pairs. Which I think is about average for underwear lovers.
I will say I love these results! Glad to see so many guys growing their collection. I hope UNB had something to do with it, exposing more guys to great undies. That includes thongs, bikinis and more! Underwear is for all guys and you guys sure are proving it!
I”m working on getting the rest of the results. I came down with bronchitis and now a cold! UGH but I have the easy results tabulated and going through the rest of them. Stay tuned, I wanted to get these first results out!
The 2EROS Pro Aktive line was released earlier this month. It’s a super fun new line and you guys should check out the entire line!
Many readers have asked me to go more in-depth about what the best pairs of underwear to wear when working out are. I think there are a lot of great pairs that could benefit UNB readers, so I wanted to share a few more specific exercise scenarios and my recommendations for what underwear they require.
Yoga: Jack Adams MUV Sports Brief
I like yoga because it helps eliminate stress and improves my flexibility. For that reason, a pair that gives you a full range of motion is crucial. Jack Adams is another brand that specifically designs their pairs for athletes. Any brief from them is good for the purpose of motion, but I love the MUV line because of the support and the mesh panel over the pubic area that help keep you feeling fresh. It’s made with 95% cotton and 5% elastane, which I think is good for yoga because it’s especially comfortable. The roomy pouch and the aforementioned mesh panel are absolutely perfect. The Jack Adams MUV Sports Brief retails for $33.00
Running: Pump! Touchdown Boxer Panther
This is one of my all time favorite pairs of underwear, and definitely, my go to for when I go running. For that reason, I doubly recommend it because you can wear it as everyday underwear and as a workout pair. It’s somewhere between a boxer brief and a trunk, which I personally think you can’t go wrong with. The construction and material are simply perfect, with legs that don’t ride up, a sporty mesh and cotton blend, and a double-lined pouch. I especially like how the pair is stretchy, yet has that form-fitting compression feel. Plus, importantly for running, it moisture wicks. The Pump! Touchdown Boxer Panter retails for $33.00
Swimming: N2N Bodywear Condor Sport Swim Brief
I can’t get enough of N2N underwear, and when I decided to try their swimwear, I was just as enamored. Some of their skimpier bikini pairs wouldn’t be great for swimming laps, but this pair hits the sweet spot in terms of sleekness. I like how there is no drawcord, liner, or seams in the pouch on this pair. The fabric is quick-drying, lightweight, and true to fit, so pretty much the gold standard of swim briefs. The signature pouch offers great lift, support, and enhancement, which I personally like because it avoids any cold water package embarrassment. The N2N Bodywear Condor Sport Swim Brief retails for $30.00
Have you taken our Swim Brief Challenge? If you have its something to celebrate! More of you guys seem to be taking the Challenge every year. We have created some graphics to share on social media when you take it. We did this because not everyone wants to post a swim brief pic on the web!
Download any or all of these graphics and share them as you take the challenge. Now go have fun in the sun!
Bikinis are one style you guys love. Who makes them better than Cocksox? We love their bikinis. We will have a more in depth on the UNB Reader survey this week. But check out all the styles of the CX01.
Ergowear is one of my favorite brands. Not only is the underwear great, but they usually have some pretty nice colors as well. Ergo wear doesn’t constantly come out with new shades, or have a laundry list of choices, but what they do have is usually nice. They just announced two new colors that’ll really put a spring in your step. Aka, they are tailor made for spring time. Ok, enough with the jokes. I know many brands out there release new springtime colors, but how many of those brand’s new colors are on awesome ergonomic underwear? I thought so.
The two new Ergowear springtime shades are named Menta and Coral. As you might have guessed from the names, Menta is a nice light green. Not lime green, but not too light either. Coral is, well, coral, an uncommon color in men’s underwear but one that has popped up now and then. Between the two, I’m partial to Menta myself, because green is one of my favorite colors.
Ergowear has released these colors in their Max Suave and Feel Suave lines, currently two of the most popular lines they have. That means you can get great trunks, bikinis, and thongs in some fun and fresh springtime shades. I’ve got a few pairs with the Suave material myself, and it’s quite nice. Ergowear states that “The new Menta and Coral tones display freshness and softness, reinforcing our pursuit of connection and respect to nature.” So what do you think of the new shades from Ergowear? Should they add them to some more lines? Which new color is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below.

I wanted to do something special for a brand that has been around 20 years. I asked the real guys who love the brand to tell us why they love N2N Bodywear. We had a few answer and a few of our staff members.
“I love my N2N gear. Over the years I have bought many items. Not one or two, not ten or more, but dozens! My collection includes swimbriefs, jammers and running tights. What appeals to me about N2N gear is the styling, the fabrics and the colors. The styling is bold. The stretchy fabrics are really comfortable. The colors are loud. Not for the shy, but at the beach, gym or at home wearing N2N gear works for my lifestyle.” – @speedostudtx
“I’ve bought a range of different underwear from N2N. From briefs to tanga to jockstraps to g-stings. They’re all well made and fit well. I also enjoy that the brand also covers everything from the basics to the unusual. I always feel a bit sexier and naughtier when I’m wearing their stuff “ – @check_two
“N2NBodywear was the gateway to my Lycra and bulge fetish. I don’t remember how it started. Maybe with a catalog. But in 2006 I ordered a few swimsuits and a singlet. Pulling on that shiny smooth Lycra the first time was like finding a second skin . I’ve been a loyal customer for years, most of my swimsuits are N2N and I look forward to it every season.I just need them to make more of the Titan line!” – @sixfootfiveguy“
“The first thong I ever bought was a black mesh g-string from N2N. The person who sold it to me said it N2N underwear was both comfortable and affordable. Since that first g-string I have owned dozens of pairs of g-strings, thongs, bikinis and swimwear. I have owned every pair in their cotton line and the cotton thongs are daily wears for me.
Their gear’s fabric is usually thin, which not only makes it comfortable, but also shows off really well. I have a few N2N thongs that I love wearing to the beach and to the pool. I also have a pair of lounge pants that are very comfortable and leave little the imagination. So thank you N2N for making great fitting and fun underwear.” @bithongguy
“N2N has been one of my favorite brands since I first discovered it. I always thought of their products as something a jet-set millionaire playboy would wear. Additionally, N2N helped me get into thongs. I found, as a straight guy, the thongs from the Tropic Line so sexy that I just had to have one. It wasn’t my first thong, but it helped me to see the sex appeal that can only come from a thong. That alone makes the Tropic line my favorite N2N line over the years. You never forget your first pair you fall in love with.” @underweardude

Hunk2 furnished the Apollo Roux2 II for review.
Rating: 8/10
- Daily Fit: 6/10
- Sizing: 8/10
- Construction: 9/10
- Styling: 9/10
- Daily Performance: 8/10
Pros: Makes behind look great, excellent material, pockets
Cons: Pouch was too small
UNB Marco recommendation: This is a great pair all around, with the material and unique cut being particular pluses. I would recommend it for the confident and classy man who is looking to spice things up.
I am thrilled to be reviewing this pair of trunks from Hunk2. This is a brand I’ve always been interested but have never actually tried. When I put this pair on, I knew that I had been missing out this whole time. Although it’s different from the types of underwear I normally wear, the Apollo line from Hunk2 is made of the best materials and is undeniably sexy.
To get the whole experience, I wore it for an entire day, during which I went to the gym, sat in class, and went on a date with my girlfriend. It was excellent for the gym due to the polyester material and it worked fine for errands and other general daily tasks. The pair really shined when it came time for date night. It really showed off all of my assets and the skimpiness was great in a way that increased my confidence. It’s constructed in a way that anyone who sees you in it can’t help but look at your package. Notably, this pair has two pockets, which I thought was helpful for storing a condom.
I can’t say enough about the fabric and the construction of this pair. The seams are unobtrusive and the material is clearly high quality. I liked that there was no obtrusive logo and the elastic waistband was narrower, which is a nice change of pace from pairs I usually wear. One thing I wasn’t thrilled about was that there’s not much of a pouch and the material isn’t particularly stretchy. By the end of the day wearing it, my sack grew sort of uncomfortable. It could just be since it’s a new pair with a different cut that I’m not used to, and the pros still outweigh that one con by leaps and bounds.
I got this in a medium, and I’m relatively thin with a 31” waist. It’s definitely true to size, though based on this pair if you’re on the border between one size or another, it could be good to go a size up to get a slightly larger pouch.
Hunk2 hit this one out of the ballpark. With all of the different vibrant patterns for the Apollo line, the pockets, and the premium material, among other things, you can’t go wrong with this pair.
