It’s Jockstrap Wednesday! One of the newest companies that is becoming synonymous with jocks is JockUp. This picture features the Performance Jock! Find it and more at the JockUp site.

Let me state up front. My underwear drawer is full of two requirements that until recently have been non-negotiable: 1.) Briefs (bikinis count) and 2.) Anatomical Pouches. That’s right—If you want to get me a gift, align with those two categories and it’s a sure success. This combination is the staple of my collection.
One of the exciting things about being on the team at UNB centers on the exploration of new styles. Admittedly, it’s hard to get me to see past my bias. Occasionally a review pair will show up in the mail. That is neither of the two aforementioned categories. They BLOW ME OUT OF THE WATER. That happened recently and I want to share my experience with you.
Not long ago, I made contact with the guys at Big Boys Pants. A UK based men’s underwear company that a couple of brothers got together to start a few years back. The reason they started the company will make an awesome post in the future. The bottom line—they were tired of buying designer underwear that left them in a bind. The result—the manliest, most comfortable, anatomically correct men’s underwear on the market. That’s a lot coming from an anatomical snob like myself and I don’t say it lightly.
That’s not even the kicker. The fellows at Big Boys sent me a brief, a thong, and trunk to try out. I knew I’d love the brief, was leery about the thong, and certain I’d hate the trunk. Trunks just don’t do anything for me but right up my legs and bunch up in the most uncomfortable way. Boy was I wrong.
I’m wearing the Big Boys trunk as I type and want a dozen more for the collection. What’s so fabulous about this trunk?

I cannot overstate how much I despise trunks. However, this Big Boys will go down in history as the COMPANY THAT SOLD ME ON TRUNKS!

More and more brands are producing men’s underwear ads with female models in them. Thanks, Clever Moda for leading the way. I’d buy this brief just because SHE’S in it with HIM. By the way, it’s on sale: Burning Cold Classic Brief.
N2N Bodywear furnished the DC5 SLIK Bikini in the color mocha for review.
Rating: 9.8/10
Daily Fit: 10/10
Sizing: 10/10
Construction: 10/10

Daily Performance: 10/10
Pros: Nice soft fabric
Cons: No real cons, but only available in 4 colors
The Bottom Drawer Recommendation: Overall this is a solid bikini brief that would be great for everyday wear and probably be fine for active activities like sports.
This is the sister or maybe brother of the DC5 Slik G I reviewed a little bit back. I’m going to start with the slight modifications I’d make to the DC6 Slik Bikini, which are only personal preference. I’d like the front pouch to be a little narrower and a little less back coverage. With that being said these are super comfortable and a great bikini.
As I said with the G review, I was concerned about the pouch of these after my first experience with a pair of N2N. I am pleased with the fit of the pouch and the amount of support they give. N2N calls the pouch seamless, which is the look that it gives you of a smooth pouch with no seams. The pouch does have some stitching at the base of the pouch to give it some contouring. This contouring helps cradle the boys.
The fabric of the bikini brief I received actually feels softer to me than the thong version and feels great on. Both are made out of a blend of 92% polyester and 8% spandex fabric. I’m not a fan of the elastic waistbands that carry the brand name on them, so these are right up my alley there. They do have a small N2N logo tag on the right hip, which is subtle and how I think it should be. Another criteria that this pair of underwear met of mine are narrow sides. These come in at around one inch.
The two modifications I mentioned early do not detract from this being an excellent bikini brief. I would considering adding another pair of these to the collection. They are a little bit more than I would like to pay for a pair of underwear, but they are made in the USA. I do really like the mocha color (called brown on their website) I received. It is actually a color I don’t have in my underwear drawer, so it is a nice addition.

UNB T recommendation: A good pair to add to your basics collection, but maybe not for special occasions.

More N2N is never a problem for me. I should probably invest in their stock, I’m such a believer. I love their extra special stuff, and I have a lot of their “basics” styles as well. The cut and pouch size on this pair are really nice. Especially the pouch which is huggy without being too squishy. My favorite part of this pair is the fancy greek inspired pattern on the waistband (I am into creative waistbands).
I love the cut of N2N’s underwear. They give very flattering pouches PAIRED with actual butt coverage (for the styles that want to cover the butt, that is). This pair has contrast bands around the leg holes and a stripe down the pouch front. This creates a nice assist to show off the curvy aspects of your anatomy.
The fabric of the underwear is 90% Cotton and 10% Spandex. It is a really good dense cotton. I shouldn’t have a problem with it. But because I was sent this pair alongside the 80% Cotton Neon brief. I feel like this is more of a “sturdy” cotton, so the feel isn’t as silky. It’s still a very nice cotton, but I would wear this in a cooler situation.
I would say I liked wearing this pair with a looser pair of pants/shorts, because it has a little more hold to it. So you’re not flopping around everywhere. I tend to like wearing slightly more “secure” pouch undies for when I’m wearing looser bottoms. Because I don’t want EVERYTHING swinging around.

It comes in 2 colors: White with blue contrast, or blue with white contrast. For $23, it’s definitely a good pair of underwear. Check it out at N2N Bodywear, and look at the other cuts in the Santorini collection.
Sizing: I got a Large, and I’m usually a large. Fits great. N2N is to my knowledge pretty dang accurate with their sizing.
Likes and Dislikes: I love the simple contrast details, and the nautical vibe of this pair. I

N2N Bodywear furnished the Neon Classic Cotton Brief (NC12) for review
Rating: 10/10
PROS:
CONS:
UNB T recommendation: I wouldn’t work out in this. But that’s mostly because I want to keep its longevity. I wore this to many functions, hanging around, an Underwear Bear Dance Cruise.
.

If you don’t already know, I have had a very long love affair with the products of N2N Bodywear. I love it when we do reviews for them because it usually means I’ll be very happy with what I get to review. This pair is exceptionally good. It is called the Neon Classic Cotton Brief. Most people think of “classic” and associate boring, this is nothing like that. The pouch is super great at letting your package hang while still keeping it supported. And out of the way of your legs. The pair is 80% cotton and 20% spandex, but it’s such an elegant blend, it feels like there’s silk in it. The pair is either all pink or all yellow, both neon, and features a black waistband.
The Freedom Stretch N-hance pouch on this pair is so great. Due to the combination of amazing pouch shape and fabric used. I felt so sexy wearing this all day on a cruise ship where underwear was the featured element for the dance party. It lets your package jiggle and bounce. While also not making you have to adjust your package ever from sitting or standing or anything. It also gives good butt coverage even for big muscle-butts. The waistband didn’t ride down in back if I had to bend over or anything. It does have a tag in the back. But it’s not that big of a bother (I am not an “all tags suck” kind of guy, just the irritating ones.)

N2N sizing is across the board very accurate with their size chart. I would stick with the size you are. Like I said above, I wish it came in more neon colors. I do appreciate the neon pink and highlighter yellow that it comes in already.

We know you guys love spandex gear. One company that you need to check out is a new one on the scene. 4 Hunks out of Germany has some really fun and interesting singlets. We have profiled their Spider Jock for Jockstrap Wednesday. If you loved the jock, you will love the singlets.
4 Hunks puts their own unique spin on the singlet. This one is not made for working out or wrestling. Although you could wrestle in them but, it wouldn’t be Greco-Roman wrestling. They have 5 different singlets. They are the Catcher Lad B Free, Catcher Hunk, Catcher Lad, Catcher Stud and Catcher Hunk Bottomless. The first three are a mesh fabric and the last two are spandex.
Catcher Lad B Free
The Catcher Lad B free is a very unique design. It’s more of a cross between a harness and singlet. The black mesh fabric is trimmed with red piping. It leaves very little to the imagination. The front is completely open as is the back. The 4 Hunks description said all eyes will be on you. We couldn’t agree more. The Catcher Lad B Free retails for € 75.
Catcher Hunk
Maybe you’re not as bold as to wear the Catcher Lad B Free. The Catcher hunk has a bit more coverage. The front looks like a low cut singlet but the back is open. It has a cut out for the back. All their styles are super sexy. This singlet is made from the same mesh fabric, so it will show skin. But unlike the Lad B Free, the back is solid. The Catcher Hunk is available for € 70.
Catcher Lad
If love the Catcher Lad B Free but want more coverage in the back. Try the Catcher Lad. It is the same cut as that singlet but has a solid back. Which to me is one sexy singlet. The way they designed the back and harness front is just sexy as hell to me. It’s still the same mesh as the other two singlets, even though it has more coverage. The fabric will show off more skin! The Catcher Lad is available for € 70
Catcher Stud
Let’s say you don’t want to show off as much skin as the previous pairs. You want something not made of mesh. The Catcher Stud could be for you. It is a solid material so you could wear this to a bar night. It has the same design as the Catcher Hunk. The crisscross design gives it the harness look and like the hunk is backless. The Catcher Stud is available for €70
Catcher Hunk Bottomless
The last singlet in the bunch is the same design as the Catcher Stud but is backless. This is one where your assets will show to everyone! I love the eye that 4 Hunks has for their designs. These really impress me big time! You can bare as you bare in the singlets. The Catcher Hunk Bottomless is available for € 75.
I really love the gear that 4 Hunks makes. They are about bringing out the sexy side of a guy. So, where could you wear these? Well, that’s a good question. The obvious example is the bedroom! However, depending on the bar or party you could sport them out. But, be in company that won’t mind you showing off!

Fill in the blank: As ________ as silk.
Answer:
smooth
soft
luxurious
all of the above.
In the case of Magic Silk’s updated all-silk jockstraps, the correct answer is 4. all of the above. This 100% silk jockstrap will make your boys happy with the brushed silk caressing them.
The blue, yellow and red all have silver waistbands but the black version is all blinged out with a gold waistband. It’s like the Versace of jockstraps (without the ridiculous price tag).
Don’t kid yourself, these are not support jocks but where they lack in support they make up for it with their feel good factor. The generous contoured pouch means you will hang naturally, it’s unconfining while the silk cradles your bulge.
With a super soft 1.5 inch comfort waistband in gold with high quality thread count embossed logo woven waistband that does it’s job of keeping the jock in place while preventing love handles caused by many a sport jock. With extra stretchy .5 inch leg straps.
Now we’ve got jocks for every occasion: sports jocks, fashion jocks, hot date jocks and now we’ve got the “lounge jock”, be sure to add one to your collection.

Review N2N Bodywear Studio Groove Brief from UNB Blog on Vimeo.
It’s Thong Thursday! Today I wanted to showcase a thong for those who like the g-string side of the thong world. We have quite a few readers who love this style. Oddly enough, I rarely see g-strings from brands. Sure, we have all kinds of thongs but g-strings? Not so much. I don’t know if this is the seedier side of underwear. But, regardless we think all guys should wear what they love!
Andrew Christian has released the Air Thong. You maybe saying “It looks just like a regular g-string.” Oh, not so fast my thong loving friend. This one features the fabric from the Air line. It’s very similar to a sports mesh and allows some breathability. It also makes it just a bit see through. Let’s face it, if you’re daring to bare as much as this pair shows off, the semi-mesh fabric wouldn’t be a deal breaker. I actually find it a bonus.
The Air Thong comes in three colors. Black, White, and Yellow. Each of the pairs has a black elastic with matching black trim around the pouch. I personally am a fan of the Yellow version. The white and black are classic in the world of underwear. I think you should always spice up your undies, especially a thong!
For you pouch guys the pouch of the Air Thong is anatomically designed. It will fit you pretty well. From the picture ,It looks like its well designed. I think many times the pouches on g-strings are an after thought. It can be one of those pairs that is meant to be on for an hour before the fun begins.
If you are interested in this pair you can find it at the Andrew Christian website.

For our TBT this week, we needed a classic shot from Cocksox. When I think of them, this picture comes to mind. A guy in white dress shirt and white Cocksox Briefs. Nothing better under a suit than a pair of CX01!
We posted last week about the demise of the classic jock. There is one company that is not going to let that happen. That company is JockUp. They make a very old school classic jock. We had to inquire about the jock!

So many of the old school brands, Bike and others, are doing away with the “classic style jocks” with wide waistbands. They are creating new “branded” waistbands over the classics. What made you design such an awesome classic jock?
The classic-styled jock is the epitome of form-follows-function that I love. It was never a question whether JockUp would have a classic jock of its own – it’s actually the first thing I designed when creating the brand. I remember my dad purchasing my first jock for sports and the feeling I had when wearing that 3-inch waistband with the label front and center, the feeling that I was now a man and could take on the world. From that moment I associated the classic-styled jock with masculinity.
How does your classic jock differ from the old school jocks?
While I kept the old-school look, it was important to address some of the issues that vintage-style jocks have with comfort and durability. I personally tested countless variations to figure out what design would provide the best support yet be comfortable and durable enough to wear for extended periods. The result is a jock that has a classic feel with modern features like moisture-wicking fabric and top quality elastic that maintains strength/form allowing you to go hard with confidence.
It’s just in classic white, did you think of making other colors or just keeping it white?
More colors in the works!
What has been the customer feedback to the jock?
Customers really love JockUp’s Classic Jock making it a best seller. Guys have told me that it’s the favorite jockstrap in their collection, which is awesome! I set out to make a jock that I wanted to wear and it seems to have resonated with men.

King Style Side Stripe Piping Type C Brief was Furnished by King Style
Rating: 9/10
Pros: Perfect mesh panel for a hot day. Interesting cut and design
Cons:. If you don’t like dressing up this isn’t for you. If you’re conservative you may not like the style.
UNB Tim recommendation: This pair is perfect for a hot humid day. It felt great and there isn’t any discomfort wearing it all day. It’s something different outside of my comfort zone.
King Style sent us 4 pairs to reviews. I posted one earlier and this is the second. UNB John will be doing the rest. It’s been a while since we had a review from him and we’re glad he’s back. The last pair was a boxer brief with a sleeve for you business. This pair was a brief and had, for a lack of better word, for your boys.
As I said in the previous review, King Style makes interesting undies. However, they have found a great place that makes their underwear different yet comfortable. I have tried so many types of underwear. Usually, when I find a brand like King Style. They have so much elastic to keep things in place, it cuts off circulation and makes me wish I had never tried them.
This is not the case with King Style. The Brief for this review was really interesting. It’s another pair where you dress up. Again if you’re not a fan you may not like that. Your boys, for a lack of better word, sit in a pouch. Not like an ergonomic pouch but one designed for the boys. They fit snug and feels really comfy. The pouch is also made out of mesh. This feature made my day. Being in Atlanta with 80%+ humidity, 90+ degree days and 72 Degree dew point. It’s miserable. This pouch made things breath and I felt awesome throughout the day. I don’t know who came up with this idea at King Style but my hat is off to you!
I wore these all day. To my part time job that is active and in the humidity. They fit pretty well. Again the mesh pouch for the boys kept me very cool. I think at one point I felt a breeze. I was almost like I wasn’t wearing any underwear.
Just like the sizing in the previous pair. Their sizing is not standard US sizing. It’s going to run smaller on the sizing chart. You may have to go up a size. So if you normally wear a medium you may need a large.
It was a pair that I will wear again. This pair is great for summer and really breathes with you throughout the day. Great job on these King Style.

The University line from N2N Bodywear could be considered a classic line. It has been in the N2N Bodywear line up for as long as I can remember. When the 2016 line came out and it was missing, I thought. NOOOO! Not the University. How could they do away with such a classic design!
Little did I know they would be releasing it later. Andrew told me that they would be releasing more through out the year. I never thought that the University would be one of those collections. When it was announced a few weeks back I did a happy dance.
The University collection has had the same styles. They are a brief, Jammer, singlet and runner. There isn’t one piece in this collection that I don’t love. I talked to Andrew and he told me the inspiration for the line. It was inspired by the Collegiate collection N2N Created. That collection was inspired by collegiate gear. The masculine cuts, colors and stripes. It was an inspiration on an inspiration. I can’t recall the Collegiate collection.
The cuts to me are ones you would see in collegiate athletics. The swim brief could be worn back in the day when they wore swim briefs to compete in them. The singlet reminds me of some singlets I remember seeing in catalogs years ago. I won’t go into the discussion of a singlet. I have done that many times. The University singlet is a low cut singlet. The jammer is something you could see on swimmers today. The Olympics has shown swimmers compete in jammers but train in speedos. Lastly are the runners, I say it’s a sexier cut than regular runners. But, that’s just my opinion.
As, I stated above, the styles haven’t changed just the colors. This year the colors are amazing. They include Charcoal, Royal and white. The Royal really pops. It’s my favorite color since they had green! But, any of the colors in this new collection I would be happy with owning.
See the entire collection at the N2N Bodywear site University Collection page!

We love RSH Photography. This is a picture he did featuring model Tony. He’s got a fun eye and we hope to work with him more this year!

King Style Stripe Type C Boxer was furnished by Kings Style
Rating: 8/10
Pros: Interesting design, was comfortable for a days wear. Not hard to put on
Cons:.Guys who don’t like to dress up may not like it. Others may not like the sleeve design
UNB Tim recommendation: I was surprised how much I liked this. If you want something different that doesn’t constrain or
This is a review I swear I wrote a while back. I had King Style follow up with me and realized I didn’t post it. So my apologies to King Style for the delay. This was my first time wearing anything by King Style. They are for a lack of better word, interesting. They have some designs that are not the norm with pockets, sleeves.
Normally I wouldn’t like these types of pairs. I say this because the pairs are overly complicated in the way you put them on and how they fit during the day. But I gave it the UNB try. The Style Stripe boxer is a little interesting. They look like regular boxer briefs but have a sleep that your member goes through. When I put them on they were pretty easy to get into. One thing I noticed is that the sleeve is open at the top. So it has a bit of a peekaboo effect.
I didn’t wear these on a day where I was going to be gone for too long out of the house. If things go wrong I didn’t want to be in these for an entire day. During my wear running some errands I forgot what pair I was wearing. I was really surprised on how they fit. Unlike other pairs they didn’t constrict or bind. There isn’t any elastic involved in the pouch design. It felt like I was dressing up. So those guys who are the kind who dress up you need this pair. It will keep everything pointing up.

The sizing was pretty good. Note that their sizing doesn’t match standard US sizing. I am usually and XL and wore and XXL. This means you may have to move a size up from your usual size. If you buy from any site they will have the size chart. We also have posted it above.
If you’re like me you have been glued to the TV this past week. We are down a full week of the Games. (I won’t use the O word due to the crack down by the brand not wanting people to use it). As of last night, my favorites are over. I love swimming, diving, gymnastics and a few more. These all typically take place in the first week.
We saw Michael Phelps earn a total of 28 medals. I think this makes him the most decorated athlete of all times. His swimming is amazing. I was jumping up and down during one of the relay races.
Before I reveal who you guys voted, I wanted to share another poll we conducted. This made me post a poll on Twitter if we should bring swim briefs back to the world of competitive swimming. Over the traditional jammers they have now.
92% of those who responded answered our “Hell yes” we should bring them back. Only 8% said “hell no” we don’t need to bring them back. So I say bring back the swim briefs. Any pictures you see of Team USA training they are all in swim briefs.
Now on to the poll. We have some amazing swimmers from around the world who would make amazing underwear spokespeople. We know they are comfortable in skimpy swim briefs and being in front of people. So we divided it up between Divers and Swimmers. You guys voted and here is who you think should be an underwear spokes person:
The number one was Adam Peaty. The UK Swimmer won gold in the breast stroke. He is one of the up and coming stars of the swimming world.
A photo posted by Ryanlochte (@ryanlochte) on
A close number two is Ryan Lotche. He is part of the self-proclaimed “Old guys” group at the games. One of the few over 30 at the games. He took home gold in the 4×200 Freestyle Relay.
Here are the divers you guys choose:
I guess it’s no surprise that Tom Daley is the favorite.
My personal favorites would be Michael Phelps. He would make an amazing Calvin Klein Ad. I personally think he could bring back the brief. But something tells me they would put him in a trunk or something like that. As for diver I 100% agree with Tom Daly. I’m really surprised that no brand has gotten him to be their spokesperson. His YouTube videos shows a lot of personality and he would be an asset for any brand. He and his partner, Daniel Goodfellow, won bronze in the Men’s Synchronized Diving.
Should we do track and field athletes? Let us know!

Who ever said long boxer briefs weren’t sexy haven’t seen Marshall Arkley in the new Sukrew boxer briefs. They have the full ones and the U design that will let it all hangout!
