My third pair of BodyAware (who furnished this pair) for review was the Dreamsickle Jock.  I told Tim at UNB he could pick a pair for me and he said I had to try a pair with lace.  I liked the pairing of a jock with the lacy fabric – something new to my collection.  The coral and black was a nice combination and the unusual straps intrigued me.

It took a minute to figure out how to put these on because when they’re loose, the straps are all over the place.  Once I pulled them up and got everything adjusted, I was ready to go.  Lots going on here: lace pouch, unusual legs straps that start in the front rather than the side/back like a typical jock.  A large cutout beneath the waistband and the pouch to show off some more skin…or in my case – hair.

I wore these around the house on a Saturday. Because I wasn’t sure how they’d hold up to a workday when I wouldn’t be IMG_1497able to change them if they weren’t a good fit.  The pouch was surprisingly comfortable as I was expecting the lace to itch.  No problems there and the contour holds and shows your package really well.  The material says 96% rayon and 4% spandex. That’s probably why everything actually felt pretty soft.  My two complaints are the leg straps were too loose and needed adjustments regularly.  I’m not sure if they’re cut large.  My butt just didn’t fill them out or the fact that they attach in the front gave them too much wiggle room but it was a bit annoying.  Problem number two was quite possibly the worst tag placement I could imagine.  It’s sewn into the pouch, which is pretty see-through, so behind the lace fabric is an ugly white tag.  Obviously you can cut it out but I thought it was a poor choice of placement.  The tag is not shown on their site, which feels a bit misleading.

These come in 4 colors – coral, navy, fuchsia and aqua and retail for $14.25 on the BodyAware website.  Sizing follows BodyAware’s usual chart with a medium fitting 31-33.  Which was true to size except for the semi-loose leg straps.

These are definitely a fun pair that I would wear for someone into lace/jocks. But not an everyday pair and certainly not for use as an actual jockstrap.  I don’t think that’s their intention, but I figured it should be said.  Even though I wasn’t in love, I do have to say that BodyAware has been great to try and these won’t be my last pair from them.  They’re a company that actually thinks outside the box and while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, that’s what I love about them.  There are enough run of the mill brands out there and those of us who are more adventurous need a place like BA!

IMG_1492I love the chance to try new things when it comes to underwear and this pair was unlike any of the briefs I own.  Taking them out of the package, the first thing I noticed was that they are VERY light and thin.  The color (Mint) was great, as well.  After my first (and positive) experience with BA last week, I was ready for round two. BodyAware furnished this pair for review.

I wore these under my jeans to work and they disappeared the moment I put them on!  The material (90% polyamide, 10% elastane) weighed almost nothing. The fact that there are very thin seams around the waist and legs made them, as the name would suggest, invisible.  I happen to think brieflines are sexy but if you want a pair that won’t show under your clothes, these are definitely for you.  I thought the cut was a bit “granny” and would have preferred a smaller, sexier bikini cut.  I’m deficient in the butt department so someone a bit bigger might fill these out better.  They were comfortable, stayed in place all day and I really forgot I was wearing anything at all.  They would’t be my pick for a really active day. Because of the paper-thin fabric not being as supportive as a cotton blend or spandex/lycra type material.  Great for lounging around the house or wearing to bed.IMG_1496

Sizing seems right but since the cut is a bit large, you should definitely size down if you on the lower end of the scale.  These were a medium (31-33) and I could have probably fit into a small being a 31-32.

Great color selection is something I love about BodyAware.  Everything from white to navy to orange and purple – there’s something for everyone!

I liked this pair well enough and will wear them again.  Sspecially when it’s hot out and I don’t want a thick layer of cotton under my clothes.  The style is a bit feminine, but that’s a lot of BA’s underwear so if it isn’t your thing.  You probably wouldn’t be trying these anyway.  They retail for $18.80 on the BodyAware website.

PROS

– soft, lightweight fabric

– comfortable for everyday wear

– cut is a bit frumpy, in my opinion

– not super supportive for an active day

IMG_1547My first pair of BodyAware underwear (furnished by BodyAware). I wore the Greek God Brief.  I am a fan of sexy underwear, especially bikini briefs, but had never tried a style quite so feminine.  BodyAware has plenty of undies that are basically lingerie for men.  For guys who like feminine underwear, BA is great because you get that styling but the cut is meant for a man.  So the fit is much better.  These definitely piqued my interest and I could’t wait to give them a shot!

The stretch satin material is what you would expect – very shiny and super smooth.  The bikini cut was just right, although I generally prefer a bit studier waistband to prevent rolling.  The front has just the right amount of extra room for comfort while maintaining a smooth look and supportive feel.

I wore these to work and felt like I had a fun, little secret all day.  Maybe the way a guy feels wearing his wife’s underwear?  The fabric felt great against my skin. They’re so light you forget you’re wearing anything at all….expect for the seam up the back that gives more butt definition.  It could feel a bit thong-like but once you accepted that this is where this pair is going to stay, it was fine.  These briefs stayed in place and worked as well as any other bikinis I own – but with a twist.

These were a medium (31-33) and they fit true to size.  Given that these are a small cut, I would stick to your typical size.  They stretch quite a bit but I think the elastic around the legs and waist would dig in and be uncomfortable if you were in a size too small.IMG_1548

Color selection is not a problem and I appreciate that they have less common choices : black, chocolate, periwinkle, turquoise, honeyed biscuit (almost nude), aqua and jade.  Red shows up in the photos but isn’t an option on their site.  Maybe it was the first to sell out?

Overall, the Greek God brief was definitely a pair I will wear over and over and might just make me try some more lingerie type underwear again.  They were definitely sexier than I anticipated.

PROS

– soft, silky material

– lots of color choices

– comfortable throughout the day while still being a sexy pair

CONS

– lingerie style is definitely not for everyone

– seam up the back might annoy some guys

– waistband could be a bit studier to help them stay in place

We have many readers who need and love a bigger pouch. WildmanT, who is no stranger to creating sexy and fun undies. Has created the Big Boy Pouch underwear! The name pretty much sums up the big part of the collection (no pun intended). Here is their description:

The WildmanT Big Boy Pouch line is perfect for the men with Big Junk! This Big Pouch was designed to hold a lot. The roomy pouch slips around and holds your boys with easy and comfort. No more smashing your balls or sticking to your legs. The pouch surrounds your manhood and allows it to swing freely with the easy your low hangers were meant to! Plus the great comfort mesh allows your boys to get some fresh air!

One thing you will notice is the line is made in all black. Which can be quite sexy and hot. There is something to be said for a black pair of underwear. It never goes out of style! Speaking of styles, the styles available are a Pouch Brief, Pouch Bikini, Boxer Brief, Micro Thong and the Pouch thong. They range from classic to skimpy!

One reason I Love this line is because its taking a classic pair, the basic black brief. Then turned it into something super sexy. This is true if you are one of those guys who need a bigger pouch. Speaking from experience there is nothing worse than a pouch that confines and restricts your anatomy.

Find the line at the WildmanT site! See the entire line below

This pair was furnished for review by Andrew Christian.

I will start by saying that boxer briefs and trunks are not my first choice of underwear.  So when I pulled out this pair I did;t expect them to be on regular rotation.  I first noticed that the fabric was very soft. The anatomically correct pouch was going to leave very little to the imagination. Lastly, the waistband only said BLACK with no Andrew Christian in sight.

These were my choice for a typical Monday at the office, under jeans.  When first pulling them on I was pleased by how they felt so broken in already. Its like they had been washed over and over.  I’m definitely a fan of fabrics like that.  The pouch was supportive and comfortable even though it leaves a less than attractive silhouette in my opinion.  I was nicely surprised by the fact that the legs really didn’t ride up too much under my pants. The pouch wasn’t as obvious under my IMG_1494clothes as I had anticipated.  I did have to make occasional adjustments to the pouch throughout the day but not enough to be a problem.  A nice, light pair of underwear for a workday – or even lounging since they’re so soft.

These were a medium (30-32) and they fit true to size.  The fabric has a LOT of stretch. If you like things a bit tight, you could size down if you’re on the lower end of the size range.  I’m a 31-32 and these were fine.  If you’re a true 30, you should get the small.

This collection also comes in a brief which I will try next and the colors available are black, blue and red.

Overall, the Black Collection Boxer was a great pair and will be in my rotation every so often – especially when I want to show off a bit.

PROS

– very soft material

– showy pouch for guys that are into that

CONS

– limited color selection

– some pouch adjustments needed throughout the day

– silhouette of anatomically correct pouch isn’t very attractive (IMO)
