For my second review here at UNB, I received the hip brief from the British Puddings line from Bum-Chums. This line has several cuts (hip brief, trunk, jock and what they call a slingshot). They also have a few different color choices – mine were Berry Cumpote. I had never tried Bum-Chums . I have heard of them through a few different websites and always like to try something new. They retail for around $25 when you convert the price from British Pounds.

I wore these to work on a VERY hot Monday. Driving around town, sitting at my desk, taking a walk at lunch and then a haircut on my way home. This was before going to dinner gave these a real test drive! The briefs were very comfortable and stayed in place throughout the day. They would definitely be in my regular rotation – even for activewear since the material is suited for that. (92% Polyamide and 8% Elastane)

Sizing is a bit off for me because their website says a medium covers 32-34. I am a 31-32 waist these mediums fit just right. If I followed their guide, I would have ordered a small and I think they would have been too tight. So I recommend going a size up.

I loved the style of these briefs! The color was a bit louder than I usually choose but that made them more fun. They are a hip brief so they have small-ish sides without being tiny. The pouch gave a good amount of room up front and held things in place. Despite their name, I didn’t notice any change in how my bum looked in these briefs, but they felt great! One element that guys might not love is that the elastic around the legs. While very fun in contrasting color, is a bit too wide. This didn’t cause any discomfort during the day. It feels a little heavy – especially where the seams are. My last little complaint is the silly name. I’m not a huge fan of underwear brands with cheeky names, especially when it’s written all over the waistband. I realize I’m a bit of a dud for saying this, but there it is.

PROS

  • Fun colors
  • Great fit
  • Comfortable

CONS

  • Extra wide elastic on legs
  • Must order from the UK

modusvivendi_ABSTRACT_LACE_line(1)Modus Vivendi releases its Abstract Lace line of men’s underwear

Modus Vivendi continues the presentation of its Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection with this limited edition, ‘flash’ line. The newly released line is called Abstract Lace and it comprises two types of briefs (low cut and classic cut) and jockstraps in pure white or seductive black. These sexy, masculine pieces are made from a fine semi-transparent French lace and are contoured to perfectly fit the male form. Not every man has felt lace on his body and this is a perfect opportunity: Modus Vivendi certainly knows how to pull it off. The Abstract Lace line is definitely classy and perfectly represents the brand’s ideals: high fashion, creativity, supreme quality and comfort.

The model for this line is once again Alexandros Kaltsidis. This great looking man is photographed on location in Thessaloniki by Panos Misailidis in a shoot that represents effortless chic and modernity.

IMG_9587I am still recovering from three days of non-stop walking! This year I had four shows to go too. They are Magic, Curve, Liberty and MRket. The last two were at the Sands Convention Center, Curve moved to the Las Vegas Convention Center and Magic is as always at Mandalay Bay. It was several days of 16,000 steps or more! I have to get walking more before February.

There weren’t as many brands as years past. Many of them are just starting to go just to the February show. But this gives me a little more quality time with the brands that are there. Which is a good thing. The world of men’s underwear is like a small family. It’s a good thing too.

There is one show I may not go to much any more. Curve has had less and less men’s brands. This year no brands I meet with attended the show. It also moved to the Las Vegas Convention Center. This brings out some nostalgia in me. I went to my first curve in Aug 2010. They had about half the men’s brands and Magic the other half. I’ll continue to get in just in case another brand may go. But enough about reminiscing on the past!

This year there are some seriously awesome things coming out of the shows. I met with 2(X)its, 2EROS, Bwet, Gregg Homme, Jack Adams, Timoteo./Cellblock13, Nasty Pig, Wood Underwear, Papi, Pistol Pete, Rounderwear, Junk UnderJeans and Tribe. Not as big as last year but a good number.

So what can you expect:

  • Something amazing will be coming from 2(X)its at the first part of the year.
  • Gregg Homme blew me away with the new sexy collection
  • Jack Adams has a massive new collection that is different from other stuff and I wish I could tell you more
  • Junk UnderJeans has some amazing new workout wear and underwear coming
  • Nasty Pig is stepping out of it’s box some but still amazing.

These are just a few things I can tell you. Do you hate that I can’t go into more detail? This year is going to be awesome in the world of undies. The picture above is from Junk Underjeans. As the new lines come out we will cover each of them fully. So stay tuned to the blog.

One thing I didn’t like too much was the lack of models. Back in the day we would have tons of pics of the new underwear on the models. Now very few actually have one. So we have stopped many of our show videos. We will be making up for that in other areas! I hope this changes in the future.

I would love you guys to give me feed back on what you want to know about new brands and how we can connect you guys with great brands and undies! Let me know guys!

Cowboy 3We continue to bring you more about Vampire Strippers Must Die! This time we have an interview with Brant Wood, one of the stars of the film. We will have one more interview soon!

Vampire Strippers Must Die the preview looks like a super fun movie. What made you do this fun film?

I’ve always loved dancing, and I’ve been a fan of vampire shows and always thought it would be fun to play one. So I figured what better opportunity to put my dance skills to use while getting to be a vampire. It sounded like a fun experience that I couldn’t pass up.

It’s been said it’s a Mix of Magic Mike meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Can you tell us about the movie?

I would definitely say that is a great way to explain it. You get the sex appeal from the stripping and dancing of course, but you also get the sexy dark side from the strippers being vampires. It adds a little bit of mystery to the characters. The combination is very sexy and makes you want to get to know the characters as they develop from scene to scene, and there is a lot of comedy as well.

What can you tell us of the Overnight Male Dance Troupe, and what we can expect from them?

You can expect a lot of great dance moves, witty remarks, and a few surprises.

What was it that made you take the role in the movie?

I wanted to be able to say that I’ve been a stripper and a vampire of course. I don’t think very many people can say they have been either.

Did your previous modeling experience help you get this role?

I would probably say yes. I have been able to express my personality and confidence in my past experiences, which is something that is portrayed strongly in my character Joey.

Can you tell us about your character in the movie?

I play Cowboy Joey. He is Canadian and all the ladies love him. He’s the best dancer and leaves everyone wanting more.

Do you have any hesitation being in underwear on the big screen as opposed to pictures?

I’m a very confident person. I’ve never been one to be shy or hesitant in my underwear. I’ve gotten so used to it while modeling. I think everything looks better on the big screen. 😉

If you want to support the film go to their Indiegogo page and donate some money! We think this will be a super fun film.

ANCHORCOLLECTIONLast week we brought you the new Bloom and this week we have the awesome new Anchor collection from 2EROS. Let’s face it 2EROS is going non stop in creating awesome swimwear and underwear. While in Vegas I got a chance to see some of the up coming collection. The Anchor was one of them! The shirts I LOVED.

I said this this past week that 2EROS is one company to watch. They are going to get bigger and better every season. I say this not because of Magic but when I was in Atlanta at the Boy Next Door, a woman came in and got her boyfriend 2EROS underwear and said he loved the brand. See, great underwear is spanning across all identities!

Here is what they 2EROS says about the new line:

The Anchor collection celebrates the nautical culture, from yachts, to anchors to the clean lines and colours.  It features a customised 2EROS anchor charm with a polished finish.

The collection comes in both a swim brief and swim short.

2EROS Anchor Swim Brief

The Anchor swim brief features the V07 fit which is our mid-brief style swimwear, a cross between a short trunk and a brief style back.

2EROS_VL5946

The short continues from the huge success of the S50 fit, short length, fitted and lightweight.

To tie everything together we’ve introduced our Anchor T-shirts! These are form fitted and are made from premium “SUPIMA” Cotton.

whtstrpbrtbikiniWhen did you first discover your love of undies?

I discovered my love for underwear around the age of 13. I stole a pair of my older brothers red silk bikini underwear
and tried them on. They were a few sizes to big for me, but I loved them. I had some older teenage friends that all
wore bikini underwear and speedos. I really liked the look and had to get some for myself. It took a few months to
convince my mom, I even threw some of my whitie tighties away, so it appeared I needed more underwear for school.

What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear?

My favorite style of underwear when I started was the bikini cut. I also liked jocks, but only had one for school.

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

The first brand of underwear was a generic pair of bikini cut. And they shrunk real small and I had my mom buy me
some FTL polyester bikinis and cotton Brut brand. I told her I really liked the polyester FTL, so she bought me some
Spalding and Brut polyester bikinis too.

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion?

It was definately the material and the cut. With white briefs they felt like i had a diaper on and the leg openings always stretched out. My underbuddy classmate and I called the nut crushers.
What influenced me was my brothers silk bikinis and the bikinis my older teenage friends had (I believe they were Brut
and Spalding, ones that came in the tube).

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying? Did you ever get a pair?

The brands I had to have were FTL, Spalding and Brut. All polyester material. I loved the fun prints and the ones that
had the mesh sides. I told my mom that they were “cool” to wear in the summer and I wouldn’t get so hot down there.

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

My first pair definitely influences my styles today. I still love the silk feeling of polyester, Lycra, spandex and silk. And
they have to be a bikini cut.

What is your favorite style today?

The bikini cut is still my favorite style, but many of the brief cuts now are very skimpy and not as big and bulky as they
use to be.

Who are you favorite brands now?

My favorite brands today have to be Aussiebum, Andrew Christian and Cocksox.

Twins-Final Lo ResThis movie is one I want to see. I love movies that are just fun! We want you guys to hear from the director Keith Hartman. They are raising money through Indiegogo for the film. If you like what we have posted here head over to the Indiegogo site and support the movie!

We posted about the movie last week, can you tell us about the movie and how the idea came about?

I go to a lot of indie film screenings that are about really depressing people doing really depressing things. And my usual comments to my friends are, “Needs Vampires” or “Needs Strippers”. So I decided to take my own advice. And also, I’ve always wanted to make a movie with a gay action hero.

How does this compare to other films, “You Should Meet My Son! and “Real Heroes”, you have made?
Like my first two films, it’s a character driven comedy. Sure, there’s a lot of eye candy and action in the film, but we’re trying to make something a little surprising where people will care about the characters and enjoy the plot twists. There’s an interesting gay love triangle in the film, and the lead female vampire has a cool character arc.
The script won first place at the New York LGBT Film Fest’s screenwriting competition, so I think we’ve got a good story to tell.

What has been the initial reaction to the trailer that was released?

Through the roof! People seem to get the concept, and they’re digging it. And that was just something we shot in one day on a shoestring budget. Now I really want to show everyone what we could do with the whole film.

The movie looks like a lot of fun. What can we expect from the finished film?

I’m describing it as Magic Mike meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Tonally, I’m going for something similar to Elvira Mistress of the Dark, which is one of my favorite comedies. The idea is that you put the characters in this wild set up –”We’re male strippers on tour and we’re being attacked by vampires”– but then you play it straight. The humor comes out of how they all try to deal with this crazy situation. You want the audience to care about the characters and what happens to them.

What made you pick Pablo and Bryant in the film? Did it have anything to do with their modeling past?

In both cases, it was their modeling pics that got them in the door, but then it was their acting chops that got them the role.

Bryant came in and just nailed the Cowboy Joey role at his audition. He has great comic timing and this goofy charm that works perfectly for that character. And his martial arts background means that he can learn all the complicated fight sequences and make them look great on film. I’m really lucky that I got him for his first big film role. That guy’s gonna be an action star.

Pablo turned out to be a wonderful surprise. He always looked so serious to me in his photos, but he came in and just blew my whole team away with his ability to do comedy. We actually considered him for several different roles, until we realized that he had great chemistry with Sam Ortiz. So we paired them up as bickering brothers who strip together and fight over everything.

Once we were all on set, I found out that Pablo and Sam are actually good friends, who do constantly try to out do each other. It’s a lot of fun to watch the two of them go at it, and that playfulness comes across in their scenes together. And they both have crazy martial arts skills, so their fight scenes look amazing, too.

Also, while Bryant and Pablo are our big names, the rest of the cast is freakishly talented, too. For several of them, it’s going to be their first big movie role. I’m just lucky I got them before some other director snapped them up!

This film is letting people get involved through Indiegogo. What made you go this route and how can people support the film?

Necessity. This is the sort of weird little indie film that Hollywood never takes a chance on. My odds of getting a studio to back this are zilch. The only way this movie happens is if the fans get behind it and make it happen.

Folks can check out the indiegogo page at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/vampire-strippers-must-die. I’ve tried to make the campaign as much fun as the movie. –I think we have the only campaign video to ever feature backup dancers.
In addition to the usual stuff, like downloads of the film, our backer can get all sorts of fun rewards– like taking a strip class with the guys, being an extra in the film, or even learning to stake vampires with our fight choreographer.

If you could sum up the movie in one word what would it be?

Strip-o-Vamp-tastic.

Lastly, when will it be released and how can our readers see it?

We’ve got the cast and crew lined up, so if the Indiegogo campaign is successful we’ll be moving into pre-production immediately and shooting in Nov. Our Indiegogo backers will get to see the film when it hits the festival circuit in the summer of 2016, and it will go into general release in the fall of 2016.

GO support this effort!

When did you first discover your love of undies?

While I first truly discovered my love of underwear in early college, I can look back on several parts of my childhood that might hint as what was to come. That would probably be a whole post in itself, however. What really got me started was a simple question, that occurred to me in late high school with a not so simple answer: Why do women have a huge variety of choices when it comes to underwear, but not men? Little did I know that just beyond my knowledge, on the internet, was a whole world of men’s underwear, just waiting to be discovered.

What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)

My early pair choices were influenced by a couple of things. First, I was looking for something vastly different than the boxers I wore at the time. I had no interest in briefs, and earlier experimentation with boxer-briefs had found them lacking. With that, I gravitated towards the skimpier styles, like thongs and bikinis. The fact that they were a few dollars cheaper than styles with more coverage, like boxer-briefs or briefs, made it easier for me to agree to an impulse by with my meager college student funds. Ebay was a very important resource to me.

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

If I remember correctly, the first pair I purchased was a multipack of Hanes String Bikinis. I consider my true first purchase my Polo Ralph Lauren Thong. Both were purchased from, of course, Ebay.

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)

When I first started shopping for undies, things weren’t as easy as it was now. Social Media was nowhere as big, and online retailers collections were far smaller. Quite a few of my favorite brands I might not have heard of if not for a chance comparison or recommendation in a review. I’m the kind of guy to read all through the reviews before they make a purchase, and because of that my early dream thong purchases to get were the CK Body and 2xist. Also, the sex appeal was undeniable. Even as a straight guy I was captivated by the front profile offered by thongs and bikinis. As mentioned above, I relied heavily on ebay to be able to afford or discover undies. Without the internet the most adventurous i’d be capable underwear wise would be mass market bikini briefs.

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying? Did you ever get a pair?

There were always brands and pairs that I wanted, but due to my lack of funds either had to wait for lucky chance appearances of eBay, or never got them. The one I remember the most was from Papi. It was the Modern Stretch Bikini. By the time I had discovered it, it could only be found on eBay, for outrageous prices.
There were only a couple times where I truly thought to myself “I HAVE to have one of these!”. The first was my discovery of Ergowear. The second was the first time I laid eyes on N2N’s Tropic line.

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

While I have yet to utilize thongs and bikinis as daily wear, I still find it hard to not buy a nice looking one these days, even though I have about 40 pairs between the two styles. They are still certainly my favorites. My underwear journey has not been a straight road. There have been stops and starts. In the early going I wouldn’t wear my special pairs that often, going weeks or months in between wearings. Eventually, I didn’t wear them at all, and they languished in the back of my underwear drawers for years. In 2013 I came back to undies, partially due to twitter. I have rediscovered my love for undies, and it has increased. My collection has grown exponentially, and my wear habits have changed a lot since coming back into undies two years ago. I have ditched boxers completely for daily wear, and have started wearing briefs.

What is your favorite style today?

Today, I’d say my favorite style would be bikini briefs. They are just such a good compromise of form and function, sex appeal and comfort. They also are a good look on my slim frame. It would be trunks if they looked better on me, though.

Who are you favorite brands now?

My favorite brands, if based on by how many pairs by them I now own, would be N2N Bodywear, and Ergowear. I also like 2Xist for daily wear pairs. Cocksox is also a favorite, even though I distinctly remember thinking of them as too skimpy when I first came across the brand.

Underweardude details his underwear experiences on twitter @underweardude.

ENDOWED SERIESWhen you guys saw that the endowed series and Cocksox, I know some of you fully expected the CX01 Bikini. Granted it is one of my favorite pairs that I wear on a regular basis. I wanted to profile some of the other amazing pairs Cocksox has in their catalogue. I have tried every style they have to offer. Those range from the thong to the boxer brief and everything in between.

Why did I choose the CSX03 Waistband Brief? Not every guy wants to wear a bikini. Shocking it is for me to believe that! There are guys who like more classic styled underwear. The waistband brief has that classic look. The Waistband brief has elastic waistband with a fuller body than the bikini.

So why is this pair in the endowed series?  Its because of the amazing Cocksox pouch. It has been hands down one of my top 5 pouches ever. Its supportive and fits most guys really well. I also don’t think this pair shows off as much as the CX01. That’s just my personal experience, or I just haven’t noticed it as much.

Cocksox uses some great fabrics in their underwear. The suplex/lycra blend will really conform to your body. Especially the pouch, because there is nothing worse than having a brief and the pouch looses shape or stretches out. The fabric in Cocksox has never had these issues!

The colors in the Waistband brief range for classic to fun. There are four colors in the range, Black, Grey, Purple and Aqua. It is also part of the CSX collection. Meaning the waistband will have CSX instead of Cocksox. So you can be a little more discreet in your underwear and not flash it around.

Find all the colors at the Cocksox website for $29.00

The endowed series is about finding great underwear for guys who need more room in the pouch. I have tried many different pairs over the last few years and these are some of the best I can recommend. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us

BunkerWhen did you first discover your love of undies?

Early Junior high I think.

What style was your favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)?

Briefs have always been my favorite. I’ve tried boxers, boxer-briefs, trunks and thongs here and there, but I always come back to briefs.

When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?

Spalding lo-rise briefs were the first I bought with my own money. They were no fly lo-rise briefs with a white pipe down each side. They were comfortable and colorful

What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)

I started way back when the internet was just a gleam in BBS and AOL’s eyes, so catalogs and ad circulars in the paper are what influenced me. (Showing my age?)

Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?

Brand’s really weren’t a thing then as they are now. It was more the style and colors I think people looked for. When someone said “underwear” back then, the first brands that came to mind were Hanes, Jockey, and FotL.

Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?

Definitely. At that time, the only options were briefs, lo-rise briefs and bikinis, or boxers. Boxers weren’t comfortable, regular briefs were boring, bikinis a bit too small…  lo-rise were just right. Most of what I have today are lo-rise briefs of one brand or another, with or without a fly.

What is your favorite style today?

Still lo-rise briefs. The vast majority are lo-rise briefs. Though there are a few boxers, boxer briefs, and bikinis mixed in, but not many.

Who are you favorite brands now?

Aussiebum, Bunker, Calvin Klein, Go Software, Reebok are what I have the most of.  Though the drawers also have a few Hanes, Hugo, 2xist, Tommy, and Jockey… among others mixed in.

Undies Monday is all about feeling sexy in your underwear. Finding that perfect style, fabric or brand you just fell amazing in. Fetish Friday is all about FUN. Its about embracing something outside your box and trying something new. It could be leather, satin, lace or more. There is no one definition of fetish wear! Much like our love of underwear it’s something different for everyone.

One of the most classic definitions for the general public for fetish wear involves the leather community. Specifically leather, latex and rubber materials. The pair we chose this week is the Modus Vivendi Latex Jock.

The Latex Jock, for those who maybe allergic, is a latex look rather than latex. If you are allergic before you order make sure you contact Modus Vivendi to make sure its not made out of any latex. Unlike traditional jocks this has a very wide waistband. It’s approximately 10 cm which translates to around 4 inches. The traditional classic jock has a 3 inch band. This means it is higher on the waist and they say it will give you a “new sensation”

Modus Vivendi is inspired by their Greek heritage. It shows through in this pair. It’s a different design from most western underwear companies. Also, Modus Vivendi is not afraid to try new things  and experiment in their designs. Its just a lot of fun! Modus Vivendi to me, is one of the most innovative underwear/swimwear companies on the market today. I hope they never loose their sense of design and fun.

If you are interested in this pair you can check it out at the Modus Vivendi site. It retails for 27.80 Euros.

BlueMedalBrief1When did you first discover your love of undies?
I first discovered my love for underwear around the age of 20. I am very active and into fitness. This led me to favor compression style  underwear with materials other than 100% cotton that wicked away sweat, didn’t ride up and had other “technology and features.” Through searching for this perfect pair my love grew.
What style was you favorite when you started to love underwear (boxer brief, brief, jock, thong or etc)
Prior to my 20s I would wear boxers. Those days long behind me, I now favor trunks. After that my ranking probably looks like this: boxer briefs, briefs, and then jocks.
When you bought you first pair of underwear what brand and style was it?
Well I wore Hanes tighty-whites as a kid and American Eagle boxers as a teen. Once I began buying my own pairs I’d guess my first purchase would have been 2xist. I forgot the name of the specific style, but they were trunks and had an opaque style mesh on each of the sides and a kind of rubberized waistband. I bought three of two different colored pairs off of Gilt.com.
What influenced your underwear buying habits when you first started your passion (catalogues, internet or friends)
Definitely what I’d see others wearing in the gym; if I liked the fit I’d look it up. Store websites gave me ideas also and today Instagram is a big inspiration to try new (foreign) brands.
Are there any brands you had to have when you started buying?  Did you ever get a pair?
I really wanted and purchased C-IN2. I still really want Aussie Bum, but have yet to purchase.
Did your first pair still influence the styles you wear today?
Not really. I still like my first pair and I’ve bought more of that brand and similar brands, but that first purchase didn’t really influence me.
What is your favorite style today?
My favourite style is trunk.
Who are you favorite brands now?
My favorite brands are Teamm8, Pump and 2xist and CK.

When the topic of thongs comes up I always think of the 2(X)ist Y-Back thongs. It is probably one of the most classic thongs on the market. When it was released men’s thongs were not big on the market as they are today. The Y-back thong was also some what of an innovation on the thong. I can’t remember any thongs that resembled it at that time. It is one of the classic thongs in the world of men’s underwear!

I was unaware that this was for sale. I thought that 2(X)ist had discontinued it. Which I wasn’t happy about. Then I was asking about them something else and threw out the I wish they had the thong. They responded its on the site! So I headed over and there it was, and it was hidden under Jocks!

So, why should you wear this pair for Thong Thursday? First, as I covered above it’s a classic. It is one thong I thing I have worn more than any others I have ever owned. I bough many pairs of this style over the years. Next, it’s a very good starter thong for those wanting to try thongs. The string isn’t bulky and its designed to fit just right. Lastly, its not too skimpy for a thong. That might sound counter intuitive for a thong. Not every guy likes to wear super small thongs.

The Essential Y-Back comes in just black and white. It’s the same colors they had when it first came out. You won’t hear me say this too often but I think it would look odd in other colors. The black and white kind of fit a classic pair of this sort.

I know this may not be for all of you out there. This thong has quite a following and many have said they missed it. If you want to get the pair, it’s now available in a two pack for $22 on the 2(X)ist website.
