This week’s Underwear of the Week is the N2N Bodywear‘s Signature Jock. It’s been a while since we featured a jockstrap. This one may look familar to you, the Signature line has been around for a few years and has been refreshed with the new color combinations. The new colors are white or navy with red accents. Previous line was white and black.
The Signature line is a very comfortable line. I have owned previous versions of this line and it’s always been one of my favorites they have done. The new colors make it a little more sexy and accent some of your best features. If you get a chance go check out the entire new like and you will see what I am talking about.
N2N really makes underwear for men. They know how to make a great construction and materials. This pair is made out of 90% cotton and 10% spandex blend. This means it will conform to your body and fit great. The waistband is 1 1/4 and inch and made with the signature N2N contour pouch.
This pair is available at the N2N Website for $2o and is available in Navy and white!
We got our first picture for the Haul! I didn’t think of doing pics but we can do pictures or video! This is from reader Dustin, he said”I love the American Eagle “Performance Trunks” and I think I might have enough to wear one different pair for two months!! ” Send us your pics and videos. If you don’t want to post on YouTube contact us and we can post on our channel!
What a way to introduce Timoteo to Jockstrap Central, it’s the Club House jock collection featuring a traditional jockstrap, a jock brief and a jock trunk. A range designed with quality and comfort in mind and styled so they’re perfect for either the gym, the club or on a hot date. Here’s the details:
TRAINER JOCK:
The Timoteo Trainer Jock is the most traditional of the three designs, with it’s contour pouch, comfort leg straps and waistband. We use the word traditional loosely as the bold contrasting colors and sporty styling are anything but dull.
SOCCER AND ATHLETE JOCK:
It’s your choice, either a brief (Athlete Jock) or a trunk (Soccer Jock). Both have a soft comfort contoured pouch for the perfect bulge with contrasting edging and framed with solid color panels that wrap around to the back. Even more awesome is the way the panels split at the rear to form a stunning jockstrap back that perfectly frames your ass and provides the support you’d expect from a jock.
All three designs come in combinations of grey, white, black and red and are nothing short of stunning. But words can only paint a partial picture, head over to Jockstrap Central and check out their models Trent, Akio and Amon in the new Timoteo gear and all will be revealed.”
Today’s Brief Distraction is from Go Softwear American Jock. This is the action mesh brief. It is available in a few colors and if you’re a fan of mesh underwear check it out
Gregg Homme is one of my favorite companies to meet with in Vegas. Each year they always come up with really fun and super sexy underwear. So far they have yet to disappoint in either department. Each year they do really great pairs that fit amazingly.
One of the new lines for this year is the Target line. It gets its name from the Target icons on the waistband. Made from the same 76% POLYAMIDE and 24% SPANDEX blend as the Voyeur line. Speaking form experience this has been my favorite fabric Gregg Homme has used. This is because it’s super light and fits like a second skin. Their ability to pick fabric is one of their strengths. They want a guy to feel as sexy and the underwear makes him look.
The Target line is available in four different styles; the Brief, Jock, Trunk and Boxer. Each of these styles is available in green, red or black. Prices range from $36.99 to $37.99 on the Gregg Homme site. The model is Phillip Fusco and shot by photographer Simon Normand.
Today’s Brief Distraction is a UNB Original! I’m just beginning photography and this is from our N2N Bodywear meeting I had with Andrew. This is the Power Mesh we wrote up on Tuesday! We hope you enjoy.
I was listening to a podcast this past week and heard of something many women/girls are doing on YouTube. It’s called posting a “haul” video. The concept is simple, you go shopping at the mall and come home and record what you bought. It sounds silly right? I mean when I heard about it I thought it was a little out there, but then noticed these videos are getting massive views. Which frankly surprised me. But I guess we are all sort of voyeurs and want to see what others do.
I searched for Underwear and Haul on YouTube. I didn’t find any men’s underwear videos. I saw plenty of women sharing their lingerie but only saw one for H&M David Beckham’s line.
I think we need to start a men’s Underwear haul and start posting them. You know from our guys, men’s underwear online in the main stream is way under represented. So let’s change that! Maybe we need to do hauls to show all the new review pairs we have that come in ?
To do the videos you can do them either you out shopping or when your online order comes in. The videos I have seen have been both pulling items out of shopping bags or opening a box or boxes. Then after you record your video post it on YouTube and tag us with #UNBBLOG and email us at info@underwearnewsbriefs.com and put “Underwear Haul” in the title. We will start posting them on the blog and showing off our readers and their underwear purchases!
Till today you can save 15% off all Clearance items at Undergear. This offer expires today! So don’t miss out. Just make sure you use the code U3CL at check out to get the extra 15% off.
Today’s Brief Distraction is a model, singer and actor! His name is Derek Yates. I found him through the Underwear Nation Model Search Contest. He was one of the two models with the most votes. He didn’t win but what he posted after the contest ended was a class act. He said not to bash the winner, that he won fair and square and to congratulate him! That really impressed me and I thought he definitely deserved some publicity.
The new N2N Bodywear collection has been released and it is MASSIVE! I think this is the largest collection they have ever released. Everything from underwear to loungewear has new lines, styles or both. Some of your favorites have been refreshed, while others like the Power Mesh have been added to the N2N lineup.
N2N is known for making sexy underwear that fits great. Andrew really knows how to design underwear that fits a man perfectly. So when you look at the Power Mesh line you may think that they have gone conservative. If you did make that assumption, then that assumption would be wrong. Yes, the waistband and colors are on the conservative side but the mesh material is anything but…N2N always puts their sexy spin on everything they create.
The Power mesh line has a really bold waistband that is red and black with the N2N logo woven into it. Like I mentioned above the colors are white and black but the material is a mesh. It’s not one that is 100% see through but if you look close you will see just how see through the material can be. The material is a 76% micro polyester 24% spandex blend. Which means it will conform to your body and fit great.
The styles of the Power Mesh collection are: Jock, G, Bikini, Brief and Trunk. Prices range from $24-$30 depending on the style. You can find this on the N2N Website or at your favorite online retailer. We will bring you a few lines over the next two weeks, so keep checking back for them!
Andrew Christian Inc. in conjunction with Island House-Key West released their “Overboard” video last week to rave reviews. Just in time for Spring, this video brings the sunshine and lights up your screen. The water sparkles, the boys’ tans are aglow, and the song “We are the Young Ones” (Hit Feeling Productions) transports you to The Keys.
The video starts on a gorgeous sail boat that is arriving at the Marvin Key Island in Key West Florida. Jon Varak spots the island first and lets the boys know it is time to strip off their jade colored (CoolFlex) underwear, which seems fitting because they are the same color of his eyes! Of course these boys are not shy to drop their briefs and put on their Andrew Christian Anchor Bikinis.
On the island things get a little out of hand, which is to be expected any time you put this group together. Murray and Jon have a hot make out session, right before Murray gives Cory Lee a shot out of his mouth. Luke buries Johna in the sand and Vlad gives him a booty bump to the face. After more shenanigans you have to see to believe, the boys head back to the sail boat.
In a twist that no one saw coming, Cory Lee decides to knock the other models “Overboard.” Without giving too much away, the next thing you see are the gorgeous Island House workers (Antonio Biaggi, Alex Sanchez, and Pablo Hernandez) rescuing the boys from the shore. Antonio’s free balling Baywatch run and Murray faking being dead, now if that doesn’t get your attention…nothing will!
The story does not end there though, as the models are carried away, you realize there is going to be an “Overboard Part 2: The Rescue.” Stay tuned to watch the workers bring the boys back to the Island House-Key West and “nurse” them back to health.

ES Collection has released a new underwear collection. This is the first of the pics from that collection. We hope you enjoy it and we will bring more pictures of the collection soon!
Yesterday we posted about fetish inspired lines. This week the new Gregg Homme lines are released. The Bondage line is as fetish as you can get! When I met with Gregg Homme in Vegas I was told this is the most expensive item they have ever sold. Don’t let the price scare you, the set is really cool
The Bondage line comes in two different pieces, the Bondage Trunks and Muscle Shirt.
Bondage Trunks – The trunks are the Gregg Homme take on crotchless strappy shorts. Which they want you to face your own sexual fears. The straps are made out of 17% Lycra, 79% Polyester and 4% Silicon. The Gregg Homme logo is stitched or embossed on to the straps. The shorts have a waistband with vertical straps that lead down to three horizontal straps on your thighs. A thong that is included completes the look. Retails for $110.95
Bondage Muscle Shirt – The shirt is made out of the same material as the trunks. It has a V design in the front that goes over the shoulders and attaches just below the chest. Four Straps around the torso hold the vertical straps in place. You can wear this with the trunks or with jeans and boot to your favorite bar’s fetish night. Retails for $166.96
The bondage line is not for everyday wear but we know you can find the perfect place to wear them, whether it be the bar or bedroom! See a few more pictures below the break:
Have you ever put on a pair of your briefs and thought, “I don’t think I could live without this pair”? I know I have, and hopefully what follows is a whole new phenomenon in the men’s underwear community, which we will be calling “Underwear Essentials”.
Inspired by various websites I’ve come across, like Hype Beast’s essentials page along with several other “pocket dump” and “everyday carry” blogs around the internet, I wanted to create a place for UNB bloggers (and hopefully some of our willing fans) to share which pairs they can’t live without, and explain why that’s the case. These posts are not just about the photo and a lame description of each pair, no. The true purpose of creating something new with “Underwear Essentials” is for our readers to gain an understanding of how each collection has developed over time. How certain brands, fabrics, designs, and/or their designers have shaped the preferences of the wearer. In other words, while the photo above is incredibly simplistic, containing all of the underwear I couldn’t live without-it is really a representation of what I have come to know and love about men’s underwear.
Brandon’s Essentials
My underwear represents a way for me to express myself even if it’s only on an interpersonal level. Due to the size of my collection, everyday’s choice is something I look forward to from the time I turn the shower on. Any one of several factors can impact my decision each morning. The first question I always force myself to answer is, “what is my mood like?” From there, some of the usual questions come into play. Like, “what’s today’s weather going to do? Is it going to be sunny, hot or cold, overcast, rainy?” Primarily for me, the style I choose is guided by the day of the week and my mood, and lastly, the clothes I’ll be wearing.
Ever since I got my first couple of pairs in the mail about a year and a half ago, Andrew Christian has been my favorite underwear designer. I am in love with the Almost Naked and Nano Fit lines, his use of rayon fabric (made from bamboo fibers) provides an overall fit that compliments my long, 6-foot-4 athletically built frame. The Almost Naked Sport Brief (bottom two pairs in Column 1) is by far my favorite A.C. design and I love the Navy and Turquoise colors the best (I own just about every color option). The Almost Naked Infinity Brief (bottom pair, column 1) and Air Sculpt Brief (Top Row, Far Left) also feature rayon which helps to create Andrew Christian’s patented “anatomically correct pouch” which is ideal for guys like me with bigger bulges. I also thought I’d include Andrew Christian’s Ace Air Jock Pro Brief w/Show It Technology (Top, Column 2) which is a hybrid cross of a brief and a jockstrap. It’s actually made of 90% cotton and features the “Show It Technology” pouch. I tend to wear them on Fridays a lot, maybe because I like showing off at the end of the week, who knows?
#JockstrapWednesday anyone? I almost always go with a jock on Hump Day, and I always wear them when working out. I love all of the Andrew Christian Jocks that feature rayon fabric and my current favorites are the lavender Slim Focus Jock, the Cool Flex Jock w/Show It and finally the Trophy Boy Jock (All In Column 3). As I mentioned briefly before I am somewhat generously endowed and I find the pouch on Andrew Christian jocks to be much more forgiving during workouts, and I love wearing them during the weekdays from time to time. It’s for those exact same reasons that I included the Obviously For Men Chromatic Low Rise Jock (Bottom, Column 4) which I have in red and navy. It’s a great jock that really performs well, especially during workouts.
You can never go wrong with a pair of Calvin Klein briefs. While my love for Andrew Christian underwear is unwavering I must say that the ultimate essentials in my collection are the three CK Briefs pictured (CK Body Hip Brief, Micro X Hip Brief, and the Steel Collection Hip Brief). I have multiple colors in the Micro X and especially the Steel collection and I always default to one of those two briefs when I can’t make up my mind or am in a rush. I also threw in my favorite pair of Trunks, which was the design that led to my obsession, but tapered off quickly when I rediscovered briefs. It’s from a Limited Edition run CK put out a couple of years ago that I’ve made sure to take good care of. Nobody beats CK Underwear in terms of design, quality and overall comfort. If you don’t own any of these three briefs, (or a pair of their trunks) open a new tab to your favorite online underwear retailer right now and buy as many pairs in these collections as you can afford. The reasons you must is simple-unparalleled fit and construction, and they look great on everyone.
At the start of my underwear journey, I had a love-hate relationship with C-IN2. That is, I loved the majority of what they were offering with their “Pop Color” briefs but hated that a major American label’s brief had a design that just couldn’t contain my boys while remaining comfortable everywhere else. Enter the C-IN2 Sport Brief design about a year or so ago. Problem solved. The higher cut leg openings compliment my athletic shape and naturally provide a much bigger pouch which is so comfortable for my goods.
How do a thong, let alone several thongs make any man’s Underwear Essentials? As I found out over a year ago, you can’t answer that question without getting the courage to try one (or several). To me there really isn’t a better feeling than feeling like you’re wearing nothing while getting the best support any style of underwear can provide. Aesthetically speaking I’ve steered clear of the athletic styles since I graduated from the ranks of “novice wearer,” but I love the new Nano Fit Thong from Andrew Christian (Top Right). My go-to thong is the Cover Male Thong (Yellow Thong) simply because it has the most traditional thong design available. Overall, my favorite thong brand is Gregg Homme and my favorite thong is the Pump Up Thong (White and Red Thong). Gregg Homme uses a synthetic fabric called “Polyamide” which is almost like a very structured silk material. They use it in the Boytoy G-String which I could honestly wear every day, if I didn’t have so many other designs and pairs of underwear I love. If you are questioning what you’d wear one under, look no further than a suit or suit pants which fitted in the seat, or the increasingly popular, skinny and straight leg styles of men’s jeans. Yes, you can see pantylines on men and they are just as unattractive as they are on women.
These are the 19 pairs out of a collection that is nearly 10 times as big that I just don’t think I could live without. I can honestly say that my experiences with trial and error in the ever-expanding world of men’s designer underwear shaped this Essentials portion of my collection- a fact that is so true, it took me less than a minute to pick out the pairs you see here. The underwear you see in these pictures are the pairs I could live with for the rest of my life. In one way or another they give me everything I need out of a pair of underwear in any situation I’d find myself in.
Now think about your collection. What styles and designs can you not wait to wear again after the laundry is folded? Do your essentials match the utility your body requires in all the situations you find yourself in? Let us know by submitting a hi-res picture of your Underwear Essentials along with a description of your favorite pairs and how they have shaped you as an individual as well as your own personal understanding of men’s underwear.
Today’s Brief Distraction is the new Pistol Pete swimwear! Also features model Eric Turner wearing the Vizion Swim Brief. Find it at the Pistol Pete website.
We all believe that underwear should be fun. If you read this blog have discovered the joys of underwear and will never go back to buying it at Wal-Mart in packages of six. The underwear you wear now is a brand name, one pair costs more then those six packs and you believe in quality over quantity. With that said, have you noticed a trend in the world of men’s underwear of more “fetish” underwear?
I’m not talking thongs or jock briefs. I’m talking underwear that is made to look like rubber, wilder cuts and barely there undies. It’s a trend we are seeing more and more. This is not limited to just the gay guys even straight guys are venturing into the fetish world. I think this is because guys want to feel sexy and don’t want the women to have all the fun in underwear. Guys want to show the wilder side of their personality. We have heard from guys in the past telling us what they wear under suits. Underwear is the one area you don’t have to be conservative; you can be as wild as you want.
We are going to start a series of profiles on companies in the fetish wear that we think you should check out. However, in this one we are going to profile a few pairs we think you should check out.
K’mando pouch – We had a review on this a few years ago and it’s been one of our more popular post of all time. As you can see by the picture it’s just a pouch that covers your goods. Would you even classify this as underwear? Since it covers the goods we do! The pouch comes in a few colors and is supposed to fit any size guy. It’s not widely available but check the K’mando site for retail locations.
Modus Videndi Latex Bottmless Boxer – Modus Vivendi is one of those companies where what do you pick for a fetish post? They do have fun designing underwear and have a lot of fetish inspired pairs. However, this boxer is part of the new Fisherman line that is all latex inspirited line. The boxer has the back cut out, jock boxers are a whole new trend, and made in the Modus Vivendi silhouette with a drawstring waist. Modus Vivendi has so many fetish inspired styles that you should go check out the site for all of them.
Gregg Homme Haze Single Brief – Gregg Homme, like Modus Vivendi, is one of those that does a lot of fetish inspired pairs. I have always said that Gregg Homme does fetish/sexy undies where you get the best of both worlds, a sexy pair of undies and an amazing fit. Every pair of Gregg Homme I have owned has fit amazingly. The new line is out tomorrow there are some fun things coming but the Haze Single Brief is one that has the look of Latex/leather but easier to care for, because if you get a pair made out of either you know it’s not easy to wash. This pair has a buckle and key hole above the pouch. It’ sexy and fun, but check out the entire Haze line, they even had a matching tank.
Slick It Up Cobra – If you aren’t familiar with Slick It Up, they are a fetish gear company. They make underwear, swim, spandex gear. The pair that has been getting attention lately is the Cobra. As you see in the picture it’s a pouch and a strap on the right side, not much more to it. This pair leaves little to the imagination. The Cobra is made out of black latex snake skin spandex print. Oh and we know what you are asking and here is what their site say “”Perfectly well!”- Thats the answer to the question you just asked of “But how does it stay on?!” It actually stays there perfectly fine hugging your junk comfortably,”
These are only a few pairs we have seen. Do you have a favorite fetish pair or company? Let us know we are going to profile some of these companies in this latest trend in men’s underwear!
Are you a fan of the Brief Distractions we do here? Then you should check out the UNB Photography site. We have created a site to let you guys get to know the people behind the pics. Those people include the models, photographers and brands that make the amazing pictures you see. We profile more pics then we do here and some a little wilder we don’t or can’t publish here! We will have some model and photog interviews soon! The pic above is the Timoteo Rugby line as shot by Tom Cullis. The site address is http://www.unb-photography.com
Today’s Brief Distraction is one from Quarter Homme. This is their latest release, the Tease Hipster. Available in Blue, Red (as shown) and Yellow. We named them underwear of the week last month for their Homme Hipster.
Today, I am happily reviewing my first Candyman brand undies; the “Boxer 99004”. I’ve been hoping to review Candyman for a while cause I’ve wanted to know if their quality matches their creativity. I received the sexy fire engine red pair in the mail last week, and definitely had a fun first impression. When I opened the bag at first, I didn’t actually know whether my manly bits were going to actually be visible or not, there was so much mesh netting. Not that I’m against wearing translucent front pouch underwear, but I truly didn’t get it at first. Once completely unfolded though, a pair of quite sassy underwear came into my view. The pair I got to review is a new pair by Candyman, with a front pouch in opaque black, that is set into a fire engine red panel of fabric (you can also get this boxer in a Royal Blue, and a Gunmetal Grey). However, the panel of red ends not soon after as black netting swoops in front of your hips and continues onto the entire back of the underwear, leaving your rear very visible. The boxer is a 93% polyester 7% spandex blend fabric, with a separate pouch cut and a back center seam to contour for the butt. The boxer is a longer cut than you might be used to, I would probably use the term “sport boxer” for the leg length. The black pouch looks to be a fairly standard boxer brief pouch. My worry was about the netting, cause being a seamster myself, I know that some netting just doesn’t have a good amount of stretch to it, so putting the pair on could get awkward. I’ll fill you more in later, but the netting was NOT a bad fabric.
While wearing the pair, I didn’t do too much, but I did run around to do some errands, and felt very comfortable. I wouldn’t wear this to the gym for reasons I’ll talk about later. It is a very nice loungy “bedroom” pair. I could definitely wear this on a date I think was gonna get spicy later…ya know.
I found the sizing on this to be fine. I got a Large size which according to the Candyman size chart is for a 32-34”. I usually buy whatever size a 34” falls under, and I must say, judging by the fact that I’m the higher end of the L range, I could probably wear a medium. Having said that, I am not ready to say Candyman runs large, because I think a lot of the elasticity of this pair is due to the majority of it being made out of a very flexible net. I would say for this pair, definitely you could go a lower size, but I cannot test that fact on all of Candyman until I try other pairs out.
I really like the look of this pair. I mean, I like my butt, people who get to see it do too. I think visually, it’s a really interesting idea, because the front is almost “tame” if I can say that, and then the back is just BAM! My issues are with the wearability of the garment, rather than the aesthetics. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the whole anatomical underwear revolution, but I’ve never been too fond of boxer briefs that have a pouch that doesn’t actually hug the genitals. What I mean is, my favorite boxer briefs are when the fabric on the outside of the pouch is snug enough that your package stays in the pouch, instead of having things run around elsewhere. The pouch on this pair doesn’t really hold my stuff in place. Because of the netting being so flexible instead of having tension, there’s not too much support UNDER the genitals, so it’s fairly open down there letting some things wander down below the pouch. I think an entirely net back is a bold idea, and it’s a very sexy idea to pull off, but my biggest issues is that the sheer area the net covers takes out a lot of the structure that would be there if a more sturdy material were covering the same area. I must say though, this did help me recover from a fear of mesh in underwear. I bought a pair of underwear made all out of mesh from an underwear company I love, and I couldn’t even get it up my thighs. I returned it for a larger size, and couldn’t get that over my butt, it was the LEAST stretchy mesh I’d ever seen, and I think the pair would have only worked on some twinky butt that doesn’t curve as much. Getting this pair did restore my ideas about using mesh in underwear.
