The name of the campaign is Let’s Get Physical and it is the first part of Modus Vivendi‘s series of campaigns for 2013-2014.
The campaign celebrates the renewed Modus Vivendi Basic Collection. The collection includes underwear you have already seen (like the Eco and TNT briefs, and many more) as well as the all new “Eternal” line. The Eternal line comprises boxers, briefs, jock briefs, jockstraps and tangas in black, blue, green and red.
The concept behind the Basic Collection is to put all the Modus Vivendi basics together: great designs for the gym and for everyday use in the highest quality fabrics. This is underwear that will satisfy your basic needs, offering excellent fit and supreme comfort, and yet add distinction to your style.

The Underwear of the Week this week is the Junk UnderJeans Ombre Trunk. Junk UnderJeans is one of those companies we think you should know. Our previous reviews have always been stellar but they are a brand you don’t always know. They have been around for a few years and we will give them some coverage at Vegas in two weeks.
The one thing I love about Junk UnderJeans is they make really fun underwear. They started with zippers and fun prints and has evolved into a refined brand that is made out of great colors and prints.
Reasons this pair is our underwear of the week:
Find these at the Men’s Underwear Store site for $24.00
Today’s Brief Distraction features Jack Adams. The pair is the Flyer jock. Enjoy the picture and we’ll being you some info about new Jack Adams Underwear soon!
I was super excited to try the new Backstage line from Cocksox. The previous pairs from them I have reviewed have always been amazing. If I had a list of the top 10 underwear companies, Cocksox would definitely be in the top 5. The way they make their underwear to fit is just amazing. The new Backstage line takes the classic design of Cocksox but makes it with a modal material. So putting these two together made me really happy.
I got the Waistband brief to review. This is one of my favorite cuts from them. When I opened the package I saw that the pair I was reviewing was the yellow pair. I will admit I love bright colored underwear. Right when I slid these on I knew it was going to be a great pair. Much like the review yesterday Gabe posted, I wondered if they could have the support of Cocksox with the super soft modal material. They did, I don’t know how they did it but this pair felt really amazing. Each time they come out with a new line they out do themselves!
I wore this pair to work for the day. It felt so good to wear. The waistband brief has been one of my favorite cuts from Cocksox. The new branded black waistband offsets the colors and makes a great addition. The pair really held its shape all day. The pouch which I had worried about still lived up to the Cocksox tradition. That is if you don’t want your goods on display don’t wear these. It pushes everything up and out. Which I know many readers like but I wouldn’t recommend this for a job interview or family reunion. As I worked I noticed these really breathed and felt so good. I didn’t want to take them off, but I did at the end of the day
There was something I did with this pair that I don’t do with too many pairs. I wore them twice before I wrote the review. I washed them and thought why not wear them one more time. The second time was as good as the first. I have to hand it to Cocksox for always improving a great product. They don’t come out with new lines every few months. They focus on the core and release things over time. Each time the score a home run.
The sizing in these are pretty much spot on with the sizing chart. In the past I would say buy a size down, yeah you heard me a size down not up! However, in the last few years they have rectified that and now you can pretty much get the size listed.

C-IN2 has refreshed their Filthy line with brand new colors. This has been one of their more popular lines in recent years. Each pair is different because the filthification process. This is accomplished by hand rubbing each pair with dye to give them a unique look on the textured fabric.
The new colors are Pink Cheeks, Ash Grey and Abyss (Blue). Each one comes in five styles. The Jock, Lo No Show Profile Brief, Lo No Profile Army Trunk, Punt, Tank and Dep Vee Neck. All these are made out of 97 Cotton; 3 Spandex/Elastane/Lycra blend.
If you’re interested in checking these out go to the C-IN2 Website. Images of each color and style below.
CAUTION! The following images may make you dreamy! The original lo rise brief by GO SOFTWEAR! Enjoy
This is the first time I’ve worn anything from the Cocksox brand. I had heard of their stuff and seen photos but really had no idea what I was in for. So here goes…
First, the facts: Cocksox is an Australian company and this particular pair was made in Thailand. The material is a blend of 95% modal / 5% spandex. It is extremely soft and light with a decent amount of stretch. Sizing is consistent with U.S. size charts.
There are many things about this pair that I liked. First, the material is awesome. I tend to prefer softer and lighter materials and this pair was by far the softest/lightest pair I’ve ever worn. Sometimes you run the risk of sacrificing support when you go with softer materials. But that was not at all the case here. There is black magic afoot.
Second, I have to give a round of applause to this company for doing away with the sewn-on tag and opting to screen print the size/washing instructions inside just below the waistband. I never realized just how much you really feel a sewn-on tag until I wore this pair.
Aesthetically, the pair is very simple which I really appreciate. My tastes are not flashy so the solid gray color with the black waistband was right up my alley. If you’re a relative newbie to the world of high-end underwear and you’re feeling insecure about being too fancy in the locker room this would be a great pair (never mind that you have the word COCKSOX emblazoned on your waistband). I attempted to find this pair on the Cocksox website to see what other colors are available, but found nothing. I guess this is a relatively new line, so it might be another few weeks before more information surfaces.
The day I wore these I was sitting in my office the entire day which wasn’t as rigorous a test as it usually is. So temper my remarks with that in mind. But the fit was great and it retained its shape all day. Minimal leg creepage. Again, the material made these extremely comfortable to wear for 12+ hrs.
There is one aesthetic component that I must address and that is the shape of the pouch. If you’re like me you have a definite preference for how you let things hang or how you want your bulge to look. You might wear things to the left, to the right, pointing up, etc. Since this was my first pair of Cocksox I did not know that their distinctive pouch basically forces your junk into one permissible configuration: the tent‑pole.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not uncomfortable. It is strictly an aesthetic issue to consider before buying. If you really prefer a certain look then just be advised that this pair will limit your boys’ options. It is definitely something that you should evaluate if you’re doing things like, say… going to the grocery store, taking your kid to soccer practice, having a PTA meeting.
I really can’t find anything negative to say about this pair, other than my remarks about the pouch. It’s apparent to me that this pouch design is deliberate, and I don’t think I should hold this against them. It seems that look is their… ahem… ‘centerpiece.’ I would just say to be aware of what you are buying. If you are after that particular look or willing to experiment then good on you. If the tent-pole is not your cup of tea then you might want to pass.
To sum things up:

Who says men can’t or shouldn’t wear thong underwear? Not us. In today’s trendy underwear world, more and more guys are experimenting with thong underwear. Whether it’s for comfort, to hide lines in tight clothing, or just to try out out something new, the stigma of a man wearing a thong has gone by the wayside. Here are a few of our staff favorites. What’s yours?

2(x)ist Sliq Y-back Thong – I don’t always wear thongs, but when I do I wear the 2xist Y-back thong. The masculine combination of the jockstrap and the thong mixed with the soft fabric creates the perfect thong. It is comfortable enough for all day wear without being super distracting. |

Picked N2N thongs as his favorite. – I am a big fan of the n2nthongs. Their pouches are well shaped and fit great. I like a nice thick waistband too so it stays put! Plus the fabric is sporty but sexy. |

Also picked a thong from 2(x)ist – the Essential Thong. – I will be the first to admit that I haven’t always been a fan of thongs, but I think a lot of guys have a pre-conceived notion around the idea of wearing a thong. To that I say… GET OVER IT! I have been wearing thongs pretty regularly for the last couple of years. I can say that their is certainly a time and a place to wear them, and it doesn’t include the gym! They really can be comfortable and can make you feel pretty sexy as well. My favorite thong is from 2(x)ist. It is their Essential Thong. I have it both Black and White and it looks amazing in both colors. What I like about this thong is that it has a “Y” back to it. I have a few “Y” back thongs and it really is a style that I prefer when I buy a thong. For me it helps eliminate the “wedgie” feeling that most guys don’t like about wearing them. the fabric is awesome and the pouch fits amazing! I also like the fact that the “thong” piece isn’t real thick and it is rolled cotton which makes it soft and doesn’t make it feel like you have a big bunch of fabric riding up your bum. |

Picked the Joe Snyder thong. – I love the Joe Snyder thong. True to form, it has an ergonomically designed pouch that lifts you. And the spandex lycra blend is a super sexy fabric that will make any guy feel hot. And for those adventurous guys it can even double as a bathing suit.

Happy National Underwear Day! Every year FreshPair.com brings us this yearly celebration of all things underwear. Founded on August 5th, 2003 each year they do events to raise awareness of underwear. We fully support this day and hope you will celebrate with us!
This past year FreshPair.com has been focusing on confidence. They launched the Confidence Project, where men and women tell their stories of underwear and confidence. They range from cancer survivors to regular people. It’s great to see this in the underwear arena. This is what we want to focus on today!
Has anyone ever said to you, “Oh you don’t need to wear that?” “Oh that is so out of style” “only (insert gay slut) wear that type of underwear?” “Those just look stupid” Have these things then affected your underwear purchasing or daily wear?
Having run this blog for almost 5 years I have heard every underwear choice a there is. They include thongs, men’s lace, bikinis, boxers and everything in between. Many guys who read this blog are in the closet with their love of underwear. When I am out at a party and guys find out that I write an underwear blog many will feel safe to confess their love of underwear. You can see their eyes light up and talk about underwear. It’s like they are confessing a big dark secret for the first time.
We have created UNB as a safe place for guys, both straight and gay, to come together and talk about underwear. Because ALL guys need great underwear. It has been a long-standing mantra here at UNB that underwear should be fun and make you feel great.
You should wear whatever underwear you feel best in and to hell with what anyone else thinks. How do we go about this? First, we need to not listen to society saying what makes a guy sexy. Underwear is a personal statement about who we are and what we like. Its up to us to feel sexy and explore that part of ourselves. So don’t wear underwear that the “general public” thinks you should wear.
Second, we shouldn’t judge anyone else underwear preference. I know many of you out there don’t understand men’s lace underwear. But there are a big group of guys who love this area of underwear. I will admit I have tried lace briefs from MalePower and they fit amazing. Who knew I would like lace? Let’s be open and supportive to every underwear lover. Just because you show support doesn’t mean you have to wear that style.
Third, Don’t let friends/family shame you into wearing something else. My personal favorite is bikinis. I have had friends who find out I wear them go “aren’t they uncomfortable?” “those don’t look good on a guy” and the list goes on. We need to ignore them because they aren’t wearing the underwear we are! Over the years I have had family members make fun of me and question my underwear love. I felt great in them and ignored their comments. Why wear something we are going to hate to conform to others and when you think about it, are they really going to know what underwear you are wearing?
Fourth, if you feel sexy in it don’t let body issues get in the way. This one I have heard so many times on the blog. I’m too fat/thin, not endowed, my butt is too big/small and the list goes on to wear (insert style). How many of us are actually underwear models? I bet more then 85% of people who read this blog couldn’t get a job as an underwear model. Remember the models are part of the marketing, all of us aspire to look like the model in our underwear but very few of us actually do. I used to weight 300 pounds, at 6’4” I was big but not huge. Today I’m down 75 pounds and want to go down 25 more pounds. Even at that size I still wore my bikinis. It made me still feel sexy to wear my beloved bikinis. Guys on each size of too big or too thin have this issue. My advice is to wear what you love and own it no matter what you think your issue is!
Lastly, lets all not be so shy about sharing your underwear love. Over the last five years more and more guys say they love great underwear. It’s not something taboo being relegated to the back pages of magazines any more. Let’s be confident about our underwear choices and be shamed when others find out about that love. So when a friend comes over and see’s your laundry and says something negative about your undies say “have you ever tried them?” and start a conversation. I have found the more guys that actually try great underwear will keep buying them and change their preferences and underwear drawer. To do this comment on this and other underwear blogs, participate in our social media, email us, and talk to us! We love talking underwear and all you have to do is reach out and we will answer back!
I will get off my soap box now and hope you guys will go out and wear what you want. Don’t let anyone sway your opinion or make you wear something you don’t like. The stigma around men’s underwear is changing and with National Underwear Day we will keep bringing attention to men’s underwear! So go out now and enjoy National Underwear Day and wear something great!
Happy National Underwear Day! Today is the one day we get to celebrate all things underwear. We want to know how you plan on celebrating this day!

The Underwear of the week this week is the C-IN2 Dip Dye Jockstrap. There is something about this line that is fun. It was just released yesterday and you will be able to find it at some of your favorite retailers. One of my favorite things about this are the Waistbands. They are made to match the colors in the underwear. Note the Green and white, very cool to see a company pay this much attention. C-IN2 refreshes this line seasonally. So these won’t be around long.
Other reasons why this is our underwear of the week

Curbwear has released a new range called Identify. It’s one that allows you to identify your…well position. It’s fun but not crazy over the top. If you have friends see it they may not get it at first. The line is a very nice styled and the position is made into the waistband.
The styles that they have are a brief and a jock. The Active (blue), Bottom (red) and Versatile (green). Each one is a different color to tell them apart. The jock is just made in, the appropriate “bottom” label. Made out of % Cotton and 10% Elastane blend in Europe. The Jocks retails for £17 and the briefs are £19
I got ta chance to see this video two weeks ago. It was shot on the Tube in London. I asked how did they do it and their response was “people got an eyefull” on their commute! I say watch the video. So watch the video!

2(X)ist has released a collection that has taken UNB by storm, that collection is the Sliq Mesh Collection. I got to see this at Magic in February and knew it would be a hit, but I didn’t remember how great this line looks. 2(X)ist has really outdone themselves on the Sliq Mesh line. When I go to Magic there is a chance things will change from the samples to the public release. These to me didn’t POP in person like they do in the pics or at least I don’t remember them being this BRIGHT. These look AMAZING. Everyone here is clamoring to get a pair of these to review. Which I hope we will have very soon!
The new Sliq Mesh comes in a Brief, Trunk, Jock and Tank. All but the Tank come in Black, White, Purple, Fiery Red and Orangeade. Where as the tank is just black and white. Made out of (X)-Pel Wicking Mesh: 2(X)IST’s performance-enhanced stretch blend (91% Nylon / 9% Spandex).
