THE HARDEST (1)UnderGear’s time is numbered, from what I gather from my sources. Their social media accounts haven’t  been updated since June. As I said in my UnderGear post, it’s sad to see this icon go. There is one thing I know many of you out there will miss. The UnderGear models. They were the first company that I remember people going “Who is that model?”

When they found a great model they usually stuck with them for a few shoots. So there are plenty of pictures on the net of your favorite. I wanted to do a “Where are they now?” post but I was having trouble track down the models. If anyone out there knows one of these guys, let us know we would love to interview one or two!

216549_10150150976559375_1114674_nChristopher Fawcett  – Christopher was one model they used a lot in UnderGear. He did both underwear and clothing shoots. On top of that he was in one of their runway shows at a bar in NYC. He has the boy next door looks that made him popular. He was one of my favorites I will admit.

465887_10150919300739375_2040298342_oWill Grant – Will is a BMX biker and bodybuilder/fitness competitor. He posed for UnderGear for a swim and underwear campaign. I wish they would have used him more than that shoot! He has gone on to do some more modeling right after UnderGear but lately he’s not modeled any underwear.

1475825_10152073193754375_1108210826_nThierry Pepin – Thierry is no stranger to the world of underwear modeling. You probably have seen him do a few of the Gregg Homme campaigns. His tattoos make him pretty memorable. At the end of UnderGear he was often used for all the UnderGear brands.

456983_10150919300984375_440140269_oRadoslav Vanko – Radoslav is one model I found that had no social presence. I don’t know much about him other than some of the swimwear campaigns they featured him in. I also didn’t find where he modeled for other brands after UnderGear.

10600469_10152881564734375_7157887020816326101_nAdam Ayash – Adam was another model they used quite a bit. He graced the pages of the catalog in both swimwear and underwear. He’s still modeling and embraces his UnderGear past. His Instagram feed has a few #tbt featuring past UnderGear pictures.

1016287_10152159053264375_1968883349_n

James Guardino – James is another one of those guys, you know his face but may not have known his name. James appeared the most when I searched for UnderGear pictures. He’s still modeling in the world of underwear and you will see him with other brands.

AG768_M_J12Devon Spence – Devon wasn’t one that was too big on the site. He was one of the non-white models they used. UnderGear was never shy to use models from all races. We are glad they included him as a model.

1269961_10151834737114375_1968465097_oPaul Marron – Is another one like James. He was a staple for a time in the UnderGear catalogue. He appeared regularly in swimwear and underwear. Paul is one that really sticks out when I think of UnderGear.

10430481_10152868998364375_8694925939902991357_n Joe LoCicero – Joe is one who was at the end of the UnderGear run. He’s been seen by other brands on the market. He’s still working and looks amazing in underwear. I hope we get to see a lot more from him.

They also had two celebrity models.

52490_464729404374_3925219_oPhilip Fusco – Philip worked with them for a shoot on a roof top. It was one of the editorial campaigns they shot back in the day. Philip continues to work in the world of underwear and has his own line called #philcity.

10399043_100234134374_7435836_nScott Herman – This reality start of Real World Brooklyn turned to the world of Fitness. Back in 2008 he did a few pictures for UnderGear. He did some other underwear back in the day including Baskit. In the recent years I haven’t seen him do much for specific brands. He’s now focusing on the fitness industry.

These are only a handful of the models they used over the last few years. Over the history they had tons of great guys who modeled for them. We need to find a new catalogue to have amazing guys model underwear!

This is part two of our Model Profiles! This past Monday we ran the post on Morné’s husband Eric Turner. This is his interview. Both are truly amazing guys! I hope we see a lot more of Morné soon. He recently shot for Eric’s underwear line, Oryx!

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

A: a runway show for Ralph Lauren golf gear. Got it through a small sports modelling agency

What made you want to pursue modeling?

A: I would not say modelling is something that I pursued as such, it was more of a hobby and something I did for fun when I could fit it in around my day job.

Do you have a  shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

A: the very first shoot I ever did, was with Joseph Sinclair. Up to that point I really didn’t believe that I could take good pictures, but after seeing the images from the shoot it changed my mindset and gave me belief in myself. If it wasn’t for that first shoot I probably never would have started modeling.

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

A: very difficult to say as they are all fun, but if I had to pick, probably shooting on location in Ibiza with Dylan Rosser. We were basically on an amazing holiday in an amazing place, and shot in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the world. It was also our first experience shooting together, which even tho we were nervous about it at first, it turned out to be a lot of fun and we really enjoyed working together!

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

A: I did a shoot in a derelict building outside of London. It was a huge factory building that had stood in ruin for many years. We were in some places high up in the structure of the building shooting some of the raw backgrounds, but with holes in the floor with a clear drop of several story’s, stair cases would just end in mid air and we would have to climb up to get the next floor, even had to walk over a beam with sheer drops on either side of several story’s. It was a health and safety nightmare and in retrospect could have gone horribly wrong, but that added to the theme of the shoot and the pictures turned out great

IMG_5877Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?
Rick Day, Pat Lee and Luis Rafael

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

A: i have three passions in life. Animals, playing piano and food. My parents live on a wild life reserve in South Africa which is amazing. The reserve runs a lion conservation program. When I visit them I can spend hours just sitting there watching the lions and there are few things I find more fascinating than that. I also absolutely adore dogs. Even more than people I’d say lol. I taught myself how to play the piano and that is my favourite form of self expression and creative outlet. I just lose myself in the music and can sit there playing until my fingers cramp! Lastly I have a long standing love affair with food. I love being in the kitchen, trying new recipes and cooking for friends and family. Eating to me is an experience that brings people together and not just something you do to survive

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

A: Generally I try and eat as sensibly as I can. I avoid fats and simple carbs and eat a lot of lean meats, although I do have cheat meals. When I’m preparing for a shoot, I just stop the cheat meals and start increasing the cardio I do in the morning before breakfast.

Favorite cheat meal?

A: I have a massive sweet tooth and love cake, especially the ones I bake myself. I have a couple of kick ass recipes!

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

A: Yes. Especially in photography. I find it incredibly sexy if done well

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of?  % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

A: 50% briefs, 50% trunks

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

A: a cock sock. They are hideous but funny at the same time

What are your goals for your career?

A: I would like to be in senior management of my company in 5 years, be able to retire when I’m around 50 and start my own charity

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

A: modelling has a shelf life. Don’t rely on it and have a career you can fall back on

honeyWere you a big fan of SUPADUPA? if you were the collection is back! They have done a bit of tweaking of the design. That includes a modern update and a more enhanced pouch! SupaWear is known for their fun take on underwear. The SUPADUPA line is the “basics” of the line! We say that because it’s the very clean lines and solid colors. The term basics sometimes scares guys off. They want a well designed pair not one that barely meets the basic needs. But don’t let term basic that fool you, it’s made very well and will fit amazing!

This is what SupaWear says about the new line:

“Introducing SUPADUPA MK2! Everything you loved about the original SUPADUPA is back. Expect a form fitted design, and a low rise waist as well as a lined pouch for extra support and comfort. This collection has been revamped with an enhanced pouch as well as a clean modern update.

Also introducing the jock-brief, a revolutionary jockstrap that gives you the same support and lift as a brief while maintaining everything you love about a jockstrap.”

The colors in the collection are blue, green, red and white.  Each style is topped with a SUPAWEAR branded wiasitband. SUPADUPA MK2 is available in three styles. The classic brief and trunk, but this new collection is joined by a jock brief. This is a new cut of the SUPADUPA line!

We hope you will check out the collection. The Brief and Jock Brief retail for $22 AUD and the Trunk retails for $24.20 AUD at the SUPAWEAR site

New (2)I am always happy to seen new lines from Marcuse. The brand has a very unique and sexy style. In their underwear lines they haven’t created many prints. The Ibiza is a really fun and colorful print that I really love. Prints are my new favorite in underwear. More brands are bringing out their creative side and trying different prints. They range from prints like the Ibiza line to geometric and everything in between.

They have tried something new and I think it’s paid off well!  The prints are tropical but not to kitchy. I have to say these are my favorite prints of this year! Marcuse is no stranger to making a guy look amazing. Previous collections have always been super sexy but over the top!

Here is what Marcuse told us about the new line:

Marcuse taps into Ibiza, providing the perfect themed look for our brand’s printed underwear. We reckon you’ll soak up the vibe in these classic ocean-inspired silhouette prints, fitted with elastic waistband to hug your masculine waist. Where ever you seek the sun and the pulsating rhythm of life, throw in your pair of Marcuse Ibiza briefs!

Fabric. 95% Cotton 5% Elastane. Price. AUD$21.95 (US $16.05). Size. XS – L. Colour. Orange, yellow, white and sky. Ibiza also comes in a gift box of 4, (one of each colour) and the price is AU$69.95 (US $51.14)

Find the entire Ibiza line at the Marcuse site!

july25-32CA-RIO-CA Wear is on fire this year. They did a runway show for LA Fashion Week and now have followed it up with a show in Miami. Their colorful swimwear is prefect for a runway show. Its making me wish I could get a chance to see a show! We will have more on them very soon! But in the mean time enjoy the pics!

We have along history with Eric Turner here at UNB. He has always supported us and been a good friend to the blog. He is one of the first models I ever met. He’s never had attitude, but he’s always been a pleasure to work with. He is also one of the funniest people I know! He’s now branched out and started his own line of underwear called Oryx

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

When I was 16 I knew a woman who was doing a runway show that involved hair modeling. She asked me to do it, so I did.

What made you want to pursue modeling?

I don’t know if I’d say modeling is something I’ve ever truly ‘pursued.’ It’s something I’ve always as a fun, side thing to everything else I have going on. It just so happens that it’s lead to other opportunities in my life, but I’ve never actually pursued the modeling.

Do you have a shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

The first time I met with an agent, she looked at several photos I’d had taken, and then looked across her desk at me and said, “There’s nothing I can do to help you.” So I determined that I needed to be realistic about my modeling ‘expectations’ and get a real job. I moved to Phoenix a couple years later, and Carlos Arias tried to convince me to shoot. It took him a year to convince me to finally shoot, and after we did it opened up all sorts of other opportunities for me.

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

Morne’ and I shot with Dylan Rosser in Ibiza. Aside from Dylan being a really great and fun guy, the shoot was an excuse for a vacation in paradise. When we weren’t shooting with Dylan, we were experiencing everything the Mediterranean had to offer: incredible food, amazing scenery and sunsets, and some of the most incredible beaches in the world. They say that everything in life is better when you have someone to share it with, and it just ended up being an incredible experience, being able to experience it with Morne’.

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

The first time I shot with Pat Lee in Chicago, it was the day before a bodybuilding show. As such, I was very depleted, with low energy, and little water. We ended up getting incredible shots, but I’ve never cramped so bad in all my life, as when I was trying to flex and hold poses for Pat.

Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?

Now having started my own brand of underwear, Oryx, it’s been my main focus for shoots. I’ve been really lucky to have worked with some world-class photographers. Of anyone I can think I’d want to shoot with, it’s Simon Le, in Australia. But the distance has posed a problem. And if he was still living, I’d JUMP at the opportunity to shoot with Herb Ritts. He was an incredible photographer, and every one of his images has become iconic when thinking about the male figure. Two I would also like to work with are Serge Lee and Tibo Norman

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

I’m actually really shy and get really bad social anxiety around people I don’t know. If I’m at a house party, I’ll always be up against the wall, minding my own business- and never the guy who is the life of the party, unless I feel really comfortable with the people who are there.

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

When I’m prepping for a shoot I increase my cardio slowly over the weeks preceding the shoot, and I start cycling my carbs. It’s unhealthy to go completely low carb. So I’ll have days where I do low carb to draw the fat out, but then days with medium and high carbs to re-energize myself.

Favorite cheat meal?

Cake, cookies, and ice cream. I LOVE baked goods.

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

Absolutely. I had several drawers full of underwear, most of them I’d never even wear.

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of? % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

I’d say 60% briefs, 30% trunks, and 10% boxer briefs. No thongs and no jock straps.

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

As a gag one year for Halloween I wore a thong that had an elephant trunk in the front.

What are your goals for your career?

To build Oryx to be a lifestyle brand that comes to people’s minds when they think of quality and great fitting underwear.

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

Be realistic. Honestly, the best thing that ever happened to me was the agent who told me that I’d never be a model. It made me realize how fickle this industry is. A model can be the most perfect model one person has ever seen, and to the person next to them they can be hideous looking. That experience helped me to realize that if I was ever going to do any modeling, that it needed to be something I did on the side, because I’d never make a living out of it- at least not a long-term career. Most models have such unrealistic expectations. At any given time, there are 5 or 6 supermodels in the world, and none of them are male. So having realistic expectations of what to expect out of a ‘modeling career’ is critical to not only not be disappointed, but having a real job that’s going to provide for you.

9002 (6)UndiesMonday is all about wearing what you love! Its not that you have to wear a fetish pair, a thong or mesh. It’s about wearing underwear you feel great in wearing. Embracing your personal style and loves. Then making sure you wear a very good part on a Monday. Why not make Monday a better day by wearing something that makes you feel amazing!

This week’s pair we are profiling is the Clever X-Long Boxer. Like we said above not everyone is going to want to wear something skimpy. Other guys love boxer briefs and longer underwear. Long boxer briefs definitely offer some advantages over other pairs. They can give you extra support in our legs. I tend to wear them when I”m going to be very active. The tight material makes me feel better while doing more strenuous activities.

Long Boxer briefs are very sexy too. This may sound like a contradiction for me. However, I love how they make the legs look. A guy with great legs will look amazing in these. Especially if you have bigger thighs. It shows off the development without giving the whole package away. Not all guys like showing if all off, they like to leave some to the imagination.

The Clever X-Long Boxer come just above the knee. They are made out of a 94% cotton/6% spandex blend. The pair will definitely give you some support and conform to your body. Available in 4 colors; Black, blue, green and white. You can find this pair at the Candyman Fashion site for $28.48. Check out all the pairs!

NOTE: UNB Tim does consulting work for CandymanFashion/GDD world.

9789_9384cLet’s face it sometimes you need fun and different in the underwear drawer. One of those pairs is the Andrew Christian BLOW! Bubble Butt Jock. Andrew Christian is no stranger to creating fun and interesting pairs of underwear. One that comes to mind is the Spider Thong.

You maybe asking what is a Bubble Butt Jock? It’s a take on the classic jock by Andrew Christian. The back has a double strap design. “n three bright colors, each pair features bright neon contrast trim and stitching. It sports our signature extra wide BLOW! waistband for extra support and style and features our Show-It Technology, which is a hidden “comfy cup” that gently lifts and provides excellent frontal support and enhancement”

The colors it comes in are Red/Blue, Blue/White and Blue/Black. Each one features the fun BLOW Waistband. This pair also features the show it technology. If you aren’t familiar its the pouch designed to show off what you have. This along with the back will show it all off.

If you are interested in the BLOW! Bubble Butt Jock head to the Andrew Christian site. Each color retails for $26.40

In our latest Model Profile we sit down with Maurice Bright. He’s an up and coming model in the world of underwear. Here is your chance to get to know more about this amazing guy.

What was your first modeling job and how did you come to get it?

My 1st modeling job was a swimwear style shoot for Lupo. I got the job by building a solid relationship with Lupo North America’s general manager Malcolm over time and he believed in me before I really did any extensive modeling.

What made you want to pursue modeling?

For a long time I felt like from head to toe I was a rarity in appearance. Attractive enough to fit a “model” mold but unique looking enough to be able to rise in the ranks efficiently given the work.

Do you have a shoot that you consider your breakthrough in your career?

The Lupo shoot, by far. Working with photographer Rawy Rayan to create those images really set the tone for my career.

image2-1

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?

My latest shoot for my Chocolat campaign, with photographer Diana Etienne. I really liked that shoot because it was not so “harsh” so to speak, a lot softer and artistic than my previous shoots.

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?

The Lupo shoot was the most challenging simply because it was a 5 hour shoot in the BLAZING heat haha.

Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?

I’d love to work with Ricky Day, his work his phenomenal. I’d also like to shoot with Luis Rafael. As far as brands, I’m quite comfortable with the idea of modeling for Lupo exclusively to be honest.

image1

What is something our readers don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?

Uhm, I’ve been actively writing poetry for about 14 years of my life now and I love it!

What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?

My diet is more flexible than other’s may think – I frequent Chinese food, Wendy’s and etc. but I make sure these foods fit my macronutrient requirements for the day. I tend to cut out diet sodas as a shoot nears as well. The exercises I do remain the same, lifting heavy but I do add more high intensity interval training like speed clean & jerks to shed a wee bit more body fat if needed.

image6

Favorite cheat meal?

I’ve recently rekindled my love for brownies so yeah, those haha.

Were you a fan of underwear before modeling?

Not really but I’m discovering some really gnarly brands out there so I’m learning more as the days go by!

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of?  % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.

My underwear drawer is 70% boxers and 30% briefs but I’m really interested in trying out some jocks especially given my activeness.

The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?

Haven’t worn anything TOO crazy to be honest. I’d say these really tight Hollister briefs haha, didn’t really anticipate how snug they were going to be but my thighs and glutes are quite muscular so yeah.

image2

What are your goals for your career?

To be one of the most known muscle models in the world, scoring a slew of work in underwear modeling but also remaining well respected in the fit model community.

What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?

“Don’t ever rush greatness, continuously feed it and be patient about it’s growth.”

Fetish FridayFetish wear is not just leather and black. It can be anything that is out of the ordinary for men’s underwear. That could include lace, satin, latex, rubber or leather. The item we choose for this week’s Fetish Friday is the Body Aware Smooth Satin Bodysuit. This is because we have all the new singlets on the market. But this is something to the next level! It’s sexy and fun.

BodyAware is well known in mixing the masculine and feminine side of men’s underwear. The mixing of satin, lace and more feminine cuts to the undies. They just have fun making undies and guys seem to love it. The Smooth Satin Bodysuit is a pair of underwear and a tank all in one. Except this bodysuit has a thong back! Here is the official description: “Soft, supple and very shiny satin thong bodysuit for men. This superb sport-styled bodysuit provides shape and support with a flattering style that highlights your shoulders, waist and butt. Constructed of smooth satin blend of polyester/spandex that is lightweight and stretchy. Allows you to move freely, without constriction. Center seam down front and back provides perfect contouring and fit. Step-in styling and rounded neckline. Thong back.”

You maybe asking where would you wear it? I guess any you want! It could be worn under jeans and out to a bar. Also you could wear it under your work clothes (suit or uniform), but we would recommend you wearing the white one for that. Other colors may come through!

The pair comes in four different colors. They are white, black, navy and turquoise. The Smooth Satin Bodysuit is $39.95 at the BodyAware Site!

Do you have a favorite fetish pair? Let us know so we can feature it!

What was your first modeling gig and how did you come to get it?
I live in Chicago, and every year there’s this event called “Out at the Park” held at Six Flags. This organization rents out Six Flags and al the queers come out and ride the rides and get drunk and it’s super duper fun. Last year, I took a party bus sponsored by one of the bars, and my partner and I made all sorts of new friends. One of the people we met was a scout for an agency in Chicago, and while we were in line for the wooden old roller coaster, he turned to me and asked me if I’d ever considered modeling before. I laughed about it, and thought it was the funniest thing, and then he followed up the next day and was like “no seriously you should submit.” I’d showed up to an open call with a bunch of printed off Instagram selfies, and somehow got signed. They hooked me up with a bunch of really great photographers, and I’ve been going on shoots pretty consistently ever since. So, I guess my “first modeling gig” was “getting drunk at Six Flags,” and it’s been a roller coaster ride ever since.

What made you want to pursue modeling?IMG_5561
I really enjoy photo shoots! I could try to fancy myself up and be all like “I enjoy the art of collaboration” but that’d be a lie. I like to laugh, and usually I laugh a lot on shoots.

Which shoot do you consider your breakthrough in your career?
I mean, my shoot with Ross Haley for MalePower got me here, so that’s pretty cool. Let’s go with that.

Which shoot has been your favorite? Why?
One of my very first shoots as a “professional” was with my good friend Caitlainne Gurreri, who’s based out of LA but gets to Chicago a lot. Her and I have been close since my second semester of college, and she has this amazing sense of composition. I asked her if she could take some ‘lifestyle’ shots of my boyfriend and I in our first apartment together, after I got us kicked out because I got in a fight with the washing machine (I’d like to say there’s more to the story than that, but that pretty much sums it up), and that shoot was absolutely my #1 favorite shoot. Working with Caitlainne was so easy, and shooting with Dave (my BF) was so much fun because literally all we did was laugh at each other and the silly faces we were making. Caitlainne and I have worked together solo a few times since then, and her and I have a great working relationship, she’s the person I go to whenever I have a question or a worry (or even when I get asked to fill out an interview by a fun underwear blog!), but there was something special about that first shoot with her, and his name is Dave. =) BY THE WAY. http://www.beautyrosephotography.com/. She’s the best. I’ve also worked with Ray of Covet Images a bunch, and have loved working with him. We have a super similar aesthetic, and it’s really easy to work with somebody who’s as easy-going as he is.

Which shoot has been your most challenging? Why?
My agency hooked me up with a shoot for Ward’s catalogue, and it was the first hot summer day of 2015, and we were inside and I was wearing Phat Farm winter coats. It was so sweaty! But look for me in a money mailer coming your way!

Are there any brands or photographers you would like to work with that you have not worked with yet?
SO MANY! Kevin of the @skinlikedawnproject has some really fantastic stuff, and we’re mutual admirers of each other’s work. I’m hoping to maybe get something set up with him when my BF and I visit Georgia later this year (hi Kevin!). There’s the team at @skinandbonemag who I’ve been trading messages back and forth with, I think their shoots are really fun to page through! Brandswise, I’d love to work with Pump!, but I need a bunch more Instagram followers (and abs) before that’s a thing that could happen.
What is something that your fans don’t know about you outside of modeling that you want them to know?
I am a huge baseball fan, like to the point of subscribing to statistics websites and memorizing Moneyball (the book, notIMG_5503 the movie) as a teenager. and I’m named after the Hall of Fame shortstop for the St Louis Cardinals, Ozzie Smith. My team is the Minnesota Twins, though, who are having an AMAZING season out of nowhere, and I’m so proud of my boys.
But I can tell you exactly what idiot transactions led to the tire fire that is the 2015 Miami Marlins, or talk for hours about why the Anaheim Angels are my least favorite team in the game(I will never forgive them for 2002). I also love how the sport has really nailed the presentation of statistics to the casual fan; a big part of my day job is figuring out how to translate complex statistics and trends to laypeople, and find myself idolizing the writing staffs at Fangraphs and Grantland for their ability to turn the databases and pie graphs into compelling stories.
So that’s what you should all know about me.
What kind of diet and exercise do you do to prepare for shoots?
I try to eat relatively healthy, which makes it easy to prepare because you’re starting off from a good base. I start every day with a green smoothie (which started when I was unemployed and I got drunk and bought this app that had like 20 recipes for $6, so then I woke up the next day and was like “shit I better actually use this, I don’t have the $6 to justify just deleting this.” And I ended up really liking how they helped me to jump start my day, especially compared to the Cinnamon Toast Crunch I was eating in the mornings before that). I try not to eat too much meat and avoid dairy (I’m very lactose intolerant), I get most of my protein from nuts and powders (by the way, those plant-based powders are a god-send for us lactose-free folks). I go to the gym regularly, I like morning gym time because it’s easier to start your day with gym energy than to muster it after a long day at the office.
So for shoot-specific prep, I make sure that I’ve gone to the gym a few times the week before, I make sure that I didn’t eat a pint of ice cream the night before, and I make sure I had a good nights sleep. That’s about all you can do while staying sane.

Looking at your underwear drawer, what is it made up of?  % boxer briefs, % briefs, % jocks, % thongs.
All briefs and jocks. No thongs, I don’t like their feel or the way the sit on me. Boxer briefs are the worst, they roll up my legs and never make me feel cute. You’ll find a lot of 2xist, a lot of Andrew Christian, and a lot of underwear that makes me feel good. Underwear is literally the only thing you wear that is JUST for you, so it better make you feel good.
The craziest pair of underwear you have ever worn?
There’s this see-through neon mesh pair of Andrew Christians I have…does that count?
Most embarrassing photo shoot situation?
I don’t get embarrassed that much, if I feel myself beginning to feel weird I just start to laugh about it instead. Though if you ask my boyfriend, or most of my close friends, they’ve all seen some pretty amazing embarrassing pictures of me.
I guess there was this one shoot I did where I was sucking popsicles and wearing a swimsuit that gave me mom butt, but that was so much fun to shoot! Plus I got to eat like six popsicles, so really, it all worked out.
I said above that I’m lactose intolerant, but I also live in Chicago, and sometimes the pizza is worth the bloat. Piece Pizza in Wicker Park is my favorite, which is great because I work right down the street for my day job. And when the BF and I want to order in, we have this place called Nancy’s which is so good but also always surprisingly expensive. I spent $40 the last time we ordered there, for one pizza. But it was so worth it.
What goes through your mind right before you have to do these revealing shoots?
“I’m hungry. Should I have eaten something? Did I leave the air conditioner on? What am I making for dinner tonight? Oh no, tomorrow is laundry day. I hate laundry day. Maybe I can make boo do it, instead. How can I trick boo into thinking it’s his turn to do the laundry? Is it too hot in here? It’s totally too hot in here, I’m sweating balls. Do I get to run the music for this shoot? Gesuz, that’s a lot of pressure. What if they hate my playlist choices? Everybody likes Kanye West, right? Yeah, it’ll be fine. Everybody loves Kanye.”I have lots of thoughts. Most of them have nothing to do with the shoot. I’ll get up in my head about it before I even walk in the room, and that’s not how you wanna approach life.
What are your goals for your career?
Well, I’ve surpassed most of the goals I set for myself when I started doing this, so I guess it’s time to reevaluate. I’d really like to take a selfie next to a picture of myself on a train platform, I think that’d be hilarious and I’d have FAR too much fun with that. Can you imagine the Facebook likes I’d get?? I’d also like to work with a menswear store in Chicago, for a full lookbook, like what’s going on at Akira Mens this fall, oh look it’s Ozzie! That’d be super fun.
And then to keep working with super cool people! I’ve met some really funny folks doing this, and want to keep that going!
What is the best advice anyone gave you when you started your modeling career?
When I was just starting, Caitlainne told me to just go on as many shoots as possible. I had no idea what I looked like on camera, and it takes a lot of effort to get it right. I still think I have work to do, but the only way you can get better at it is if you actually do it. Even if it means working for free, getting the experience valuable.

undergear+catalog-010What more appropriate Throw Back Thursday. Over the years UnderGear has had so many incredible pictures they have done. One of their models is BMX Champion Will Grant. He posed in 2012 for UnderGear in various swimwear and underwear! Its still a shame we won’t have any more pics from them! I have this same pair of swim, its the avatar for my twitter account UNBTim, but I don’t look as good as Will does in it!
